This should be the go-to sports place for everyone, for every sport, before you go somewhere else. You can turn in the stuff youve outgrown to buy stuff that may be new or used that now fits you and the stuff you brought in will be consigned and youll get paid for it. Its an especially great place for families with children who are always trying new sports or ending old sports or growing out of their equipment. Very reasonably priced and extremely knowledgeable and courteous staff; a young college kid named Couper was especially helpful and gracious and went above and beyond to help us with our needs.

We visited Denver from out of state and needed to rent some equipment for a cold weather hike. We actually rented twice while we were here and had a great experience both times. The staff is very friendly and personable and the rental prices are great. We also purchased some gloves and they had a great selection.

I have always rented skis, but never bought skis before and dont know anything about skis. When I told the employees with what I was looking for and wantingto stay within my budget, they were super helpful! Was able to walk out with a really good set of used boots, and will have to look for Skis when I get home. But if youre looking for great customer service for first time buyer, these are the guys to go to!

Amazing service. Came in looking for ski gear without knowing much about it at all, and Alex went way out of his way to be super helpful and didnt make me feel dumb/silly asking beginner questions. I definitely would have bought the wrong boots without the help. 10/10 recommend, will definitely be back!!

I cant say enough great things about Sports Plus. I equipped my 7 year old daughter with downhill skis, snowshoes, a bike, ice skates, ski jacket/pants, and even a skateboard. All of it was used, all in good (or excellent) condition, all for half or less than in would have paid new. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and can help you find what you need without being pushy. Being that its Denver, you can get lightly-used, high-quality name-brand gear here for less than you might pay for new junk at a big box store.

Down to earth neighborhood sports store. We get all our family gear there - from skates, used skis or bikes for the kids every year or two to servicing our equipment. They are always super helpful if you ask and will not be hanging over you if you just want to look around.

One of my favorite stores. My two sons and I play hockey and we always stop in here for gear and skate sharpening. The entire staff are great. Always cordial and helpful. Plus they have a huge selection of used gear (hockey, ski, etc). We are very lucky to have this store nearby.

We are new to the neighborhood and I just walked over to Sports Plus (with my 2 small children) to look for soccer gear for my 3-year-old. They staff could not have been more unhelpful. In fact, it seemed to annoy them that I was in the store at all. So disappointed. I was looking forward to supporting a local business, but will definitely be making our sporting goods purchases elsewhere.

We have been here on a few occasions recently: downhill skis, cross country skis, cross country boots, bike repair, and downhill helmets. Prices are very fair and the service is pretty good. I drove all the way from Arvada to look for a quality used balance bike for my daughter. I was sent there with the understanding that we would get help with the bike and a solid helmet fitting. Instead we were completely ignored. We looked and tried four bikes, not once did one of the employees acknowledge us, speak with us or even say hello. Instead of buying a bike from there we will be buying one online.

Have done business with them for years. Bought, sold, searched. They have always been fair and honest. Whenever they dont have exactly what you want they are quick to give other stores where you might find what you are looking for, instead of trying to talk you into what they have. A true community business and the first place I go, even when the price might be a bit cheaper somewhere else. They could not be better.

Don’t go here if you are looking for advice as a beginner.Bought used skis and ski boots, which I’ve never done before, just wanted to avoid repeated rental prices as I learn to ski. I let them know I was looking for a good beginner ski and needed to be sized for boots. The man working there sized me and was condescending when I said it seemed like it hurt my foot. He insisted I was a 25.5 and that I’d get used to the feeling, I just didn’t know what I was taking about. After a few failed attempts at trying to ski because of how badly the boots hurt and the thiness of my skis, I decided maybe I needed a lesson.I get up to my lesson with my equipment and the instructor lets me know my boots are much too small and I’ve been sold expert skis. I rented the proper equipment and had a much better time— didn’t fall once and was able to stay in the boots (a 26.5) all day.A shame they took advantage of my lack of knowledge and sold me equipment that is useless to me. I relied on their expertise and that was a mistake. Lesson learned.

Brought my wifes 35 year old baseball glove in for repair. A couple days later they called, and when I came in to pick it up they couldnt find it. After an hour with no luck I left. They called later to tell me they mistakenly gave it the wrong customer, who mailed it California. Customer said hed mail it back. Two weeks later they called and it was back.Honest mistake, no harm no foul. Heres the problem: They didnt offer to mail it or deliver it to me, they didnt act particularly worried when they lost it, and when I drove all the way back to pick it up.....the second time....they STILL charged me the $20 to fix it!I even gave them an opportunity to do the right thing by nicely saying youre still charging me? Im sure if I made a scene they would have given it to me, but Im not that guy. And I shouldnt have to. And its not the $20. I dont care about the $20. Its the principal. You LOST my wifes baseball glove, made me stand around a hour the first time, wait weeks, then drive back in again.....and you still charged me the lousy $20 without ever really getting an apology.I wouldnt trust these guys with anything you value, its pretty clear if they break or lose it, youre not going be happy with the results.Deplorable, and a very poor decision.

Well, I didnt get past my inquiry phone call on their stock. I asked what bike sizes they have available, and because I didnt know my size exactly (I provided my height), the person on the phone was incredibly abrasive to the fact that I did not know the exact size I needed, and kind of steam-rolled the conversation to say I should just come look. Obviously Im calling ahead before coming down there to see if you have anything suitable first. Thanks for nothing. I work in customer service, and this was a terrible experience.

Late last winter I had an immediate need for functional ski boots. On a whim I checked out Sports Plus. They had a huge inventory of good used boots and I found a super comfortable pair for $45. The clerk (whose name I sadly forget) gave fitting advice and friendly skiing chat. The boots lasted me all summer skiing on Mt Hood and I dont see why they wont last further.I came back later for two backpacks which were also decently priced, clean and have worked well.Im going back now to look for a backup pair of boots for the winter. Thanks Sports Plus!

I came there to buy rollerblades, and I had a big problem with fitment. I came back to return them, and get another size. These guys were completely helpful, and I learned a new technique for sizing skates. They have a ski boot heater, and they used that to heat and custom mold the rollerblades to my foot. It alleviated the usual issues and pain with getting new skates. They took the time to make sure that the fitment was right, and that I was satisfied.
