It was extremely helpful to hear what a professional had to say about proper monitoring and acoustics for a home studio setup. It was also a great treat to listen to the different sound systems and get an appreciation for sound treatment and the different sound systems. The treatment and tuning he does makes a world of difference.Anyone into hi-fi or pro audio would be crazy not to check him out!

I discovered HD Design group about a year ago when I was hunting down a legacy audio dealer after meeting Brandon I never looked back. When I went shopping for a hi-fi system, I was looking for the biggest bang for my bucks. I knew I could not afford the best, but I at least wanted to stretch my financial comfort zone if it meant I would be spending wisely toward a long-lasting and superior sounding system. I talked with sales people at Best Buy/Magnolia and Listen-Up, but quickly realized they asked too few questions and then pointed me to products. Their first question, “How much do you want to spend?” In contrast, when I met with Brandon he asked me specifics about my sound goals within the next ten years, understanding that for me it was a plan with multiple phases as money allowed. He asked me not only about the type of music I liked, but where the content was coming from and in what quality. He enlarged my perspective of adding video (at some point) and tying it all into the same system. Without rushing, Brandon spent substantial time with me, freely sharing his encyclopedic knowledge of his craft. With the use of his sound rooms, he demonstrated multiple systems as he expertly explained the highs, the lows, and the mid’s, letting me hear for myself what sounded best (even taking into consideration my tinnitus! and how I could help it). I appreciated that Brandon’s process kept me from over-buying. Instead of purchasing traditional passive speakers which require a separate amplifier, he had me consider active speakers. He mentioned that with some speakers, the low end is so powerful that a sub-woofer was not necessary. He was patient and he let me “close the deal” when I was ready… and not as his final “pitch”. Brandon offered design ideas to help blend the sound system into my home environment (happy wife happy life). I purchased ATC SCM 50s with an ATC C3 center. At my house he installed the cables and positioned my speakers to work in phase. The sound in my 28’x28’ vaulted room (14’ high) is delicious. The orchestra arrived to fill the challenging room with beautiful music. Brandon is generous in sharing his knowledge, and the type of human I enjoy working with!

Ive been working with Brandon for almost 15 years now. He recently helped me with a home theater upgrade that moved my system forward for new technology but built on some of the previous components I had in place, as well as updating and tuning my turntable. Really glad I found HD Design Group. I’m finished building out my home theater and was looking for a quality immersive surround sound processor. I have been a customer since 2001 when I purchased my first pair of Paradigm Ref Speakers which I still enjoy today. I am always blown away by the owners knowledge of not just audio gear but all that goes into making a system sound great! I have recently returned to their new showroom in progress which looks to be something very special for those who want a very professional and consultive experience. Brandon who is their lead designer I decided to turn loose on my basement remodel after taking several bids from 4 other general contractors. His depth of knowledge and his memory of our many conversations was great! The other contractors who had interior designers were horrible listeners and pushed only what they thought we needed and what they thought my wifes taste should be which did not go over well. His approach was not only refreshing but the outcome was fantastic. What impressed us the most was the consideration of my budget regardless of the money I had to spend and the detail and amount of he was willing to spend time spent asking questions that frankly no combination of the other contractors asked regarding not just the nuts and bolts but most importantly how we wished to use the various proposed spaces and my families life style. This company has changed a great deal since my first experience as they were focused on theater and audio only. They have found a true niche with a very unique mix of professional skills and services now offered I had to laugh as they not only cover interiors, audio, theater, lighting buts also outdoor entertainment and but Brandon is very proud of their Memphis Grills! The staff was good to work with throughout the project and their subcontractor recomendaitons were outstanding. Brandon has very high if not too high of expectations at times of others on the job. You have great crews let em roll. I ended up with a totally custom and beautiful bar with great custom lighting their millwork company knocked it out of the park. The exercise rooms best feature was there recommendation for the SwissTrax custom floor which Brandon created a very cool contemporary design for. Our families favorite space with out question is the theater room. No one does it better than these guys I wanted the very best music playback experience I could afford and the theater was more for the rest of the family and friends. I visited with Brandon last year. He was still working on the new showroom, but noticed me at the door and let me in. I was having trouble with my speaker placement or something. I just couldnt get them right. Brandon asked me several questions about the placement, room configuration etc. He suggested my room design was not correct for the type of speakers I had at the time. I replaced the speakers with the type he suggested and my problems were resolved. Because of the professional and correct help he gave me last year, I am now going back to visit with him about another product that I need. I recommend him to anyone that needs help with stereo products and advice.

Ive been working with these folks for nearly 20 years now. Every time has been a fantastic experience with something new that has been a great value for an amazing new product. Whatever the budget, whether Entry Level, Mid-Level, or World Class products, theyve always stayed on top of the best for any discriminating audiophile, home cinema devotee, or even lighting/security/whole house networking needs.

I met Brandon from HD Design at the RMAF (Rocky Mountain Audio Fest) 2019. I have been looking for a music server/player to play my digital files and stream Tidal. I was interested in the Innuos Zenith MK III. I luckily walked into HDs room at RMAF, which had the Innuos Zenith along with Vinni Rossi components and the room sounded fantastic. I spoke to Brandon for a few minutes and he suggested i head down to the Innuos room to hear the Phoenix reclocker with the Zenith. When I got to the Innuos room at RMAF, the owner of Innuos was there and he did a demonstration of the Phoenix reclocker: i was shocked by how big of a difference and how greatly improved the sound was with the Phoenix reclocker added to the Zenith. I still wasnt sure if that sound would translate to my system, so at RMAF Brandon offered to lend me HDs Zenith MK III after the show. He gave me his card, and a few weeks after RMAF I called him up and he lent me the Zenith MK III (he didnt have Phoenix in stock yet). Many people offer to lend out gear, but few actually follow through on their promises: Brandon followed through on his promise. I drove down to the store to pick up the Innuos and spent a few hours at the store with Brandon. He showed me some of HDs systems and we talked about audio gear and audio systems and I would have spent all day talking to him but unfortunately i had to get to work. It became clear when I met Brandon at RMAF and from our conversations when I picked up the Innuos and thereafter that he loves great sounding systems and he strives to find the best gear possible systems to sell so that they will have great synergy and great sound. I enjoyed talking with Brandon so much I invited him to my house to hear my system and have dinner. I took the Innuos Zenith home on a Friday (returned it Monday so Brandon lent it to me for 3 days), hooked it up, and was up and running in about 5 minutes (I got a free Roon trial to test out the Innuos). I had a friend of mine come over to listen with me, and the Innuos was certainly much better than my computer: the sound stage was better but the instrument separation was significantly better and overall the sound was significantly more enjoyable to listen to. Whether you are like me, and want to test out products before buying them to insure that they will improve your system, or you are more laid back and want someone to just tell you what will make a good system or will improve your system, Brandon and HD Design can provide both. If you are in the market for audio gear or theater gear, I strongly recommend calling Brandon and stopping by HD Design on south Colorado blvd. Highly recommend.
