We have a family membership for Black Wing and we just love that they have something for the entire family indoors and out. They also have a great retail shop with competitive prices. The staff is always very helpful and respectful, even with all the questions I may ask. :)

Went in today to purchase a Browning Silver Field and was assisted by Jared. He did an excellent job and was very professional. He got me in and out as quick as possible. Ben was a great instructor and got me comfortable with stance, mechanics, and tracking. Facilities are awesome, including a multi-station sport clay course thats like a walking golf or frisbee course but with sporting clays.

My little brother turned 21 today and the rep would not allow him to purchase his first pistol because the date on his ID expired tomorrow (obviously as it was his 21st birthday today). We said ok, no problem we will just have HIS VETERAN FATHER purchase it for him with a valid military ID/drivers license and the rep rudely said that he would not allow that since it was going to be a gift for my brother which is OBVIOUSLY 21. Besides the fact that in Ohio firearms can be sold privately, this was a father helping his son ON HIS BIRTHDAY buy his very first gun. What a special moment ruined. We have 47 firearms in my large family most of which were purchased here.. we will never be back so consider this a loss of business.

I visited BW for the first time ever today. I drove about an hour to get there because I saw online they had what I was looking for. When I walked in I was amazed at the amount of inventory they had. I was immediately greeted by Kale and asked if there was anything he could do for me. I told him what I was looking for and he rushed over to help me out. I found exactly what I was looking for and even bought a second toy while I was there. I cant say enough about Kales attentiveness and willingness to help me out- super great guy! This was by far the best experience I have ever had in a gun store. These guys really made me glad I made the trip. I will definitely be back again!

Called with a simple pre-visit question and got an instant let me transfer you and sent straight to a voicemail box. Thats plenty of reason for me not to drive 50 minutes to visit these folks.

Took my 2 ARs in for scope mounting , bore sighting and firing range fine tuning. The gunsmith did a great job. Very patient with my questions and showed me each target where they would zero it in to almost one hole.Very pleased and will return for all my gun needs.Job well done.

Course is overgrown hard to see targets. Carts are lacking storage and gun racks, poor condition. They charge in blocks of targets and your at thier mercy of how many targets your going to be charged for. They didnt go by any count for us just how much money they needed to make. Many targets failed and broke at the house and they still over charged us. Too bad thier the only facility around.

Very knowledgeable staff! They went above and beyond with attention to detail for my personal situation. As a recent veteran who moved here 9 months ago from Virginia, I feel confident understanding Ohio conceal carry permit process after CCW class! Also, I was impressed a staff member printed off regulatory requirements (highlighting applicable paragraphs) for me. However, the icing on the cake was Mark fixed my gun in less than 5 minutes- WOW!

Awesome employees and great selection. Only 4 stars because I bought a shockwave from this location, was given a range pass to shoot it for free. Shot three rounds and was asked to put it away. Why give the range pass with the gun that I can’t shoot. But other than that 5/5.

Acknowledging the situation and going above and beyond to arrange a smooth experience in our follow-up interaction....Leaving this review in the hopes that Black Wing addresses some customer service issues.I went into Black Wing on a Wednesday evening, received exceptional service, was a little busy, so did not complete the kiosk service required and the representative assured me I could just take care of it when I came back in. The item I was purchasing requires a hold and wait and I was assured I could pickup the item and use it at their range anytime, no hassle.I returned on a Saturday and what I encountered can only be described as chaos and a disregard for the customer experience. I waited for an attendant to ask if I could just self-service at the kiosk, after about a 15 minute wait the attendant came to me, said I would need someone to assist me, but they could not help me as they were occupied with another customer.I waited another 30 minutes for another attendant who then told me she could not help me and would need to get someone else. After about 10 minutes she was able to get that individual, who then mistakenly began helping another customer. About 15 minutes into them helping that customer the other associate finally noted that he was helping the wrong customer.The gentleman now is ready to help me...oh the kiosk is self-service...but we will get you started. So now I complete my activities, have a few questions and catch the eyes of the attendants, they don’t give me the time of day. I decide I’ll wait for someone to assist me so go back to the counter.30 minutes later I finally catch the eyes of an attendant who says they will be right with me. 15 minutes after that after the entire store has now been turned over three times I am still waiting for someone to assist me.Frustrated and sure I am not going to get helped I go to the cash register. I state that I had already purchased an item and was just trying to complete the transaction and am so frustrated that I am contemplating just returning the item as it seems to be more hassle than it is worth now. I am over an hour into something that was supposed to be simple and convenient.The kindly gentleman at the counter informs me that what do I expect, they are very busy. No apologies, no how can we make this right, can I help you? Just let me go ahead and process that return and have a nice day. I state I really don’t mean to be rude, but a number system may make life easier here, to which I received a response of this is a once in a 20 year thing so no need to bother.I understand being hectic, busy and even overwhelmed, but that is no excuse to not care about servicing your customers or making a bad situation better. Long time customer and very disappointed in the experience.

I recently bought a gun here and I’m very happy with the service. I love my gun, even though I did have a minor issue in the beginning I took it back up and they fixed it in a few minutes. They have really stepped it up in comparison to other stores/ranges. Their prices are much more competitive now and inventory is good. Thanks Blackwing!

Black Wing has everything a shooting sports enthusiast could want - ranges of all sorts, guns and ammo, knives, accessories, etc. Its all in a large, clean store in a great location that even your wife would be comfortable visiting. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. You can tell the owner must be a huge enthusiast, as they have some really cool antique and rare items that are just to drool over.The only drawback is their prices here are high unless you look at their sale and used items.

My wife and I both have range memberships and love bringing the family to shoot there. Staff is very friendly and love the atmosphere with the other gun enthusiasts.

Recently I purchased a few firearms from Black Wing. Great customer service. The best part though is that I had an issue with one firearm and had to bring it back and have the gunsmith on site look at it. Quick diagnosis and quick fix. EXCELLENT customer service and satisfaction. One of the best firearms stores Ive ever been at.

Just finished a couple of hours at their indoor range. They have a great set up, awesome prices, and the staff make you feel so welcome. Its 45 minutes away and 25 minutes past another indoor range for us, but well be coming back here for sure.

Took the CCW certification course. The trainers had far more experience than other places I looked into. They spoke from real life experience not theory. They made the time enjoyable but also made sure you understood the seriousness of what having a CCW means. The range time was full of positive coaching with explanation not just a because I say so additud. I will definitely continue training here with the additional courses they offer. Everyone there are knowledgeable and professional. Keep this in mind, if your breaking any rules or being unsafe they will be direct and stern. This isnt rude its what is expected by a professional staff who take safety seriously. I wouldnt have it any other way. You will never feel dumb by asking questions because they want everyone at every level to have the same experience.

I went here for the first time today on my way home from hunting. I dont know why its exceptable to ignore new customers but myself, my entire family, and everyone that I have talked to thinks asking the person behind me if theyre ready to check out over me, a waiting customer, is completely unacceptable and have personally black listed this company from anything period.

Absolutely LOVE this range it’s my GO TO range in Ohio, and I’ve been to a few. I only generally use the rifle and handgun ranges indoors but I just love how they do everything here it’s quick and efficient and they have a nice selection of guns too.

I took my Nephew and a buddy on 2/2/19 and literally had a blast. After shooting the weapons we brought with us. I treated them with a full auto rental. We shot H & K MP5 suppressed. The Giggle factor was phenomenal. The folks up there were awesome. I highly recommend the treating yourself with a full auto rental. Better than Christmas morning to a five year old.

I have to give BWSC 5 stars. We have always been welcome there and weve been going there for over 15 years. I cant recall ever a time where they werent professional and friendly. There are many great employees and we know many by name. I, personally, appreciate Ben taking the time to correct my hand grip (without asking) and walking me through some exercises to try with my gun. He spoke to me honestly and like no one else mattered in that moment while I was considering my handgun. They all are very knowledgeable and I enjoy going there to shop and the range.

Amazing!!! A perfect place for those who are interested in gun shooting. It’s open for common men who are not members too. Staffs were very soft and cooperative. Helped the first time users as people like me took gun in my hand first time in life and made us all very exciting and came out with superb shooting experience. Weapons are given on rent and one can try different one too. The indoor rifle and pistol ranges were neat and clean. Shopping area is also there where once can buy Guns and knives (anything for shooting) and deals are also there. I go here every so often just to shoot the full auto rifles they have its something about just holding down that trigger it give me a rush of enjoyment sounds weird but I think it because I know I cant own one with doing a stupid amount of paperwork.

This should be your go-to place for range time and purchasing firearms, ammo, and accessories! The service has always been excellent and everyone there is very knowledgeable and happy to talk with you.

Want to shoot more than one firearm out at the range? Good luck. You have no room to place your bag and other fire arms. Friend of mine got yelled at for not having them in a case but really there was no place for him to put his guns. Not a lot of room to work with.

I am a member here but they are open to the public as well. The indoor rifle and pistol ranges are clean, temp controlled and well lit. The sporting clays course is challenging and changed often. The skeet and trap facility is great. Gun and knife selection is the best in the area with great monthly special deals with great prices. Staff is very helpful.

I am fairly new to the shooting experience and I recently joined a Sporting Clay league at Black Wing. The staff has been extremely helpful in every aspect. Specifically when it comes to gun knowledge. They have been able to provide me different recommendations on what guns to shoot and have been able to answer all of my questions. I also want to mention that the facilities are clean and appear well maintained. As far as the sporting clay course, they have stations that are great for beginners as well as some more challenging ones. I would recommend Black Wing to anyone interested in shooting and would like to learn more about firearms.

Great place to go shooting. They have a huge store and great indoor/outdoor shooting area. This is a very clean building. I had an issue with my gun that was not even purchased here, took it in and they fixed it in a few minutes for free. I will continue to give them my business.

Great place to shoot. Havent shot out back but there are always people out there. They always have raffles going and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Ammo and gun sales are usually pretty good too. Best part about the indoor range is that theres no time limit where other places charge by the hour. They also offer their own lifetime warranty for all new guns purchased there beyond the manufacturers warranty.

I went here when I decided to purchase my first handgun. J.R. helped me through everything, explaining any of the technical info in more simple terms for someone who is new to all of this. The process was quite smooth and informative, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to purchase their first gun. I did call ahead to make sure I had the adequate documentation for background check before going, and if you are unsure, I would recommend you do the same. I am very happy with my purchase (CZ 2075 RAMI) and look forward to doing business here again in the future!

The inventory is a bit frustrating. Seem like the only accessories are thermoses and backpacks. The firearm selection is pretty large.Been there a few times lately and had to go elsewhere for cleaning solvents and powder. Feels like a first time buyer environment.

Always very helpful and friendly. They’ve taken the time to walk me through some of the finer points of complex purchases like NFA items. They carry a huge stock and their ammo prices are in line with cheap bulk online sellers. Their range is well maintained and very clean. The range officer on duty is always diligent. Though it’s a public range I’ve never seen a person in the lanes acting irresponsibly.

Took my two brothers and nephew for a weekend of shooting. A guys get-away to celebrate my birthday. It was a great experience with lots of fun, exciting memories. This is a fantastic facility with a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. As most of us were rookies, they trained us very well on pistols, rifles, machine guns and shotguns. They have it all...we did it all. Trap shooting and sporting clays were a blast and my personal favorites. Prices were reasonable and the experiences were priceless. We will do it again. We celebrated our dads birthday at the center yesterday. There was a group of 11 of us and cant thank the staff enough for the time and efforts in making this a fun experience for us. The customer service was off the charts; all staff was very knowledgeable and kind. A lot of my siblings have never shot guns before; Cameron was our instructor and he remained patient, professional and was a great coach along the way. He was encouraging and very skillful; had a lot of great tips.The courses were also challenging but very exciting for all different ages and genders.Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a little fun! Black Wing Shooting Center is a first class facility. If you enjoy shooting it has it all. One of the greatest assets is the knowledgeable and very friendly staff. Unlike some of the Columbus gun stores, you do not have to take a number, then feel rushed to make a decision. They take their time to understand what you are asking and always know the answer. Another nice feature is no time limit on the indoor ranges. Best place I have ever been to and proud to be a member.

Excellent experience. Great service, spent nearly an hour with an employee looking at guns and holsters. Was able to shoot on the range and it is a great facility. The prices on some things are higher than your big box stores, but a lot of their prices are lower too. Just depends on what you are looking at. I am not sure why a few people are complaining about service. Everyone there was nice and just gave great advice. I felt very comfortable the whole way through and definitely will return.

I love the range experience at black wing. I have rented guns and used my own. I also took my conceal carry class at this location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They worked with me through my first firearm purchase. I definitely recommend them!

Black Wing is the best!Our family took a shooting course there 5 years ago, and I misplaced the certificates we received upon completion.No problem, right?...Wrong. We moved to another state and tried to transfer our certifications there, but could not. That state told us we would have to re-certify all over again!I called Black Wing and spoke with David. He took the time to look through years of old course certificates. He eventually found ours, and he mailed those to us at no charge!That is what I call Outstanding Customer Service!Thank you very much Black Wing (and David) for doing that. Our family truly appreciates your exceptional level of service.

Very nice facility. My husband did the clay shooting and it was well laid out with lots of stations which were challenging. They had a nice selection for rentals and supplied him with everything he needed. You couldnt ask for more friendly or helpful people-especially the guy who waited on us at the outdoor range.

First time visitor. Good price for as much range timecas you like. There for 2 hours for $20. Even though I didnt need any help, I saw the range officers help others that needed it without any complaints. Indoor rifle and pistol range roomy, plenty of distance, and good equipment. Will definitely be back.

Mixed experience!!! I used to go here and have had mixes experiences. After prices inflated a couple years ago i cancelled my annual membership. A sales person called and convinced me to renew this past year. I mentioned a couple times I was going to try and make it...9 months later I was not able to make it even to one session due to personal reasons. Called and explained my situation to the same sale person who convinced me about renewal. Asked if I can get a store credit or similar; I clearly explained I was not looking for a cash refund. They explained to me best they can do is transfer the remaining 3 months to another account - no consideration. I did not reach out to them, they reached out and obviously are good sales pitchers. Requested they never call me again. They got my money and guess that is their priority now; used to be a place which considered customer as a person first and not a dollar sign.

Lots of clean indoor pistol ranges with a large selection of rental guns you can try. Surely a place you want to stop in if you enjoy any of the shooting sports.

Went to Black Wing for the first time last weekend.What a great experience. Never fired an automatic machine gun before. What a rush!Also learned about the correct stances and procedures for shootingeverything from pistols to shotguns. Got a chance to try trap shooting, skeet shooting and really enjoyed the back trails where we were shooting sporting clays. I truly look forward to our next visit.

This year we held our very first sporting clay event, and because of the excellent staff at Black Wing we will definitely be holding one for the years to come. Their staff went above and beyond to help us feel ready and prepared for this day-long event. Walking us through exactly what we would need and how to ensure we would have no hiccups. I made the trip from Cleveland, OH as I had heard the Black Wing CCW education course was second to none. Let me tell you the drive was absolutely worth it--the program did not disappoint! Whether it was the hand-on, in-depth training or the state-of-the-art facilities it truly was a pleasure to spend the day with the Black Wing team. I highly recommend for all your marksmanship needs.

Great range and store. Very nice indoor pistol and rifle ranges. I havent used the outdoor ranges or skeet/trap, but they look really nice too. Well stocked shop with very knowledgeable staff.

Went hoping to shoot 22 revolver and 380 revolver to consider these for my CC. They didnt have them available for rent. Otherwise a very nice experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Range was clean. Wait time was about an hour, which we didnt expect but not the fault of the facility. They treated my 14 year old son the same as anyone else. No one made us feel like we were ignorant ( which I am when it comes to guns and shooting). We had a great time. Thanks!!

The indoor range is awesome, the clay course is awesome, the gun selection and facilities are awesome. The biggest downfall of this company is inattentive, cocky employees, several times I have stood and waited for employees to pause their personal conversations to assist customers. In summary-excellent place to shoot with below average customer service.

Just completed the CCW Training at Black Wing - time well spent! The instructor was fantastic (extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and entertaining). There was also an attorney who educated us on Ohios gun laws. The cost of the class is somewhat higher than others but you definitely get your moneys worth.

This place is a must if you are in the Columbus/Delaware area, Top rate facility with every venue of shotgun sports. The staff are accommodating and eager to help you in any way.The sporting clays course is simple, (you could easily walk it) they also throw a variety of presentations. There are 12 stations in all, and they are fully automatic, which negates the use of a trapper.

Go to Shoot point blank its much more cleaner and staff is great compared to Black Wing.

Recently completed a CCW training with blackwing. Ben Owen was the instructor. It was a great class. Very informative and personalized. Ben was very knowledgeable and funny. He took the instruction very seriously, but injected humor and stories to keep our interests. Learned a lot, we were well prepared. I love working with Blackwing, and will seek more training from them.

My son and I went for shooting lessons. David was patient, informative, and humorous. This was our first time here and well definitely be back!

My son and I went to the indoor pistol range and found everyone we spoke with were friendly and knowledgeable. We just moved here from Missouri where we were members of a shooting range. Prices are a lot higher here then in Missouri but I found the range to be acceptable.

I was charged 35$ to shoot at the pistol range I brought my own gun, ears, eyes, and ammo. But i paid my bill and went in with my girlfriend to shoot. halfway through as i was correcting her the counter guy comes out and tells her shes not doing anything wrong but instructs to shoot completely differently that she felt comfortable shooting. It discouraged her and made her uncomfortable handling the firearm. I wont ever return not only for the insanely over priced range fees, but also for the much unheeded advice.
