Always a clean and organized store.. Great workers

Took a mature axis buck in. Asked for a ham cut into steaks, 1 back strap cut up, 1 back strap left whole, the rest ground 80/20 with half burger and half breakfast sausage. First they could find my meat, then I received 2 pkg of steaks, 2 small pkg (less than 1 lb) of sliced back strap, 1 whole back strap with bullet fragments still in the meat, several packages labeled Axis ground, axis sausage, and also some simply labeled deer hamburger. Spoke to a friend of mine that said they lost a hog he took in. If you use them, be specific and check your meat before you leave.

2 small hogs.. asked for 1 ham and the rest 1/2 ground meat and 1/2 pan sausage. Normally they package the meat in 1 pound packs. We get there and they ground the ham up 😡 and the rest was packages in about 3 pounds to each package. Alsi found 2 pieces of plastic in the 1st package of breakfast sausage. .will never go back! Will drive 2 hours to Kerrville from now on! Google should have minus stars!

First time at the store but I found out its under new management and I like the fact that the store is super clean. Plus the new owners seemed very sweet. Will definitely visit again.

The worst customer service! Rude! A real shame. Used to be our go to place for meats.

I love buying my meat in this place, I always have, I have been a customer for a very long time, I recommend it to first time meat market shoppers, you will also love this place!!!

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I brought a good size 8 point buck here to be processed and requested steaks from the backstrap and the remainder of the meat to be proportioned into 50% ground, 25% chorizo and 25% sausage. I gave them approximately 7 pounds of back strap/tenderloin when I dropped off the deer. When I unpacked the box of meat at home I had 1.4 pounds of backstrap, and 50% chorizo, 25% ground, and 25% sausage. When I called the owner to clear up the confusion he said that with the backstrap they have to trim it. Wow, 6 pounds of trimmed lean backstrap...really? Then the worst part....he asked me to bring the meat back so that he can give me the correct proportions. So I logically asked if he was going to give me somebody elses deer then. No reply...so I then asked if the deer I was given was my deer. Of course he quickly said it was but considering his eagerness to return the meat he had already given me so that he could give me the correct proportion I am naturally a little skeptical. I will obviously never go to the Apache Meat Market again.
