Reviews seemed hit-or-miss when I was looking into purchasing a vehicle but I know people are far more likely to leave a bad review than a good one so I took them with a grain of salt.After having looked at the vehicle and talked it over, I found Jeremy to not only be helpful, but also up front about the issues he was aware of with the vehicle. People dont seem to realize these are as-is used vehicles and they will have SOMETHING that needs done to them. Its up to the buyer to look into a vehicle prior to purchase. Despite that, he seemed more than willing to give me helpful advice after the sale and even offered replacement part at very resonable cost.TL:DR - People expect everything for nothing. Jeremy is matter-of-fact about the issues but also not a robot, hell work with you if you work with him.

There services are very great. Go over and beyond call of duty, makes there customer happy with a since of pride and ttust.

Was very interested in a truck. Post said everything worked and was good to go. Call him still everything is almost good. Later find out to switch from heat to ac you pull a cable. Next the odometer doesn’t work and then none of the gauges work. Mind you I dove two hours for a “good” truck. Jeramy at affordable auto care is a liar and a joke definitely wouldn’t recommend him if he had the only truck on the planet.

Pretty good guy. Helpful and polite. I paid them to remove a stuck oil pan drain plug, fix a radiator cooling fan and rotate tires. They did good on the drain plug but didnt check tire pressures or clear tpms sensors after rotating the tires. They also claimed it was a coolant temp sensor and charged me for the part and labor but that didnt fix the problem. They also had all of my relays not put back in the correct spots. Id have been much happier if they took the time to diagnose the problem instead of just throwing a new coolant sensor in because it was the easiest. I also had to run to two different places to get cash as the guy who processes card payments with his phone wasnt there. The prices were fair and they seemed like decent people, but if you pay someone to fix your vehicle, you actually want the problem fixed. Id hope i just caught them on a bad day. In their defense, i didnt contact them to let them know they hadnt fixed the problem. I didnt take the vehicle back to them and i just fixed it myself.

This place is a rip off he charged me for putting on a power steering pump and for new hoses but never gave me new hoses never put new hoses on but charge me for them

I needed new breaks on my car and was referred to this shop from a friend. It couldnt have gone better. Jeremy(owner) was very professional and his prices were much better than the big shops. Great customer service and quick with service and repairs

The owner said that the engine was locked on my 2008 Honda Sante Fe, and that it would cost thousands to fix. Well, I took it to a street mechanic and after he fixed the fuel pump my car started up.

They are a scam and unprofessional. I purchased a car from the owner for $3,000 as in good/great condition, which was originally listed for $4,000. Soon after leaving, on my way back to Springfield i noticed the check engine light came on. Once i arrived to Springfield i took the car to get the engine light checked and it came back as system too lean. I immediately informed the owner plus his employee and was told it was something minor and to just bring it back when i could get a chance to. Long story short, it didnt even last me two months. It had alot of issues and one of the major was blown head gasket. I left many messages about the cars condition, and some were ignored. When i asked the owner, Jeremy of my options to give the car back or trade. He told me i purchased the car as is. With him giving me the only option of paying them to fix the problem that came with it that he failed to imform me of. I was ripped off and at this point i dont even trust them to do any business with. As of now im looking into my legal options. They are not about guaranteeing satisfaction nor being affordable. I paid $3,000 for a car that wasnt even worth $600.

Have been there 3 times...every single time has been same day service he calls you gives u the prognosis...lowballs the price and gives you a quote if its over he eats it...even shows you the parts he replaces..and at 49$ an hour thats about the best youre gonna get in Decatur il. for an A.S.E. certified mechanic.
