We had Mark and an assistant out twice to repair an electrical circuit that wasnt giving power to the whole run. Mark diagnosed the issue methodically and was able to come back and repair it (needed to order a part). The electricians were very knowledgeable and had great personalities. Would be very happy to have Mark and A Abel back for any other electrical issues. Stellar service.Edit: Forgot to mention how quickly they were able to come out (next day!) and they arrived on time and called before arriving.

Issue: With all the recent heavy rain, my sump pump came on and worked properly to keep my basement dry. However; after a while the pump would stop, then 10 minutes or so later, it would come on again. This cycle continued for two days after the rain stopped. I thought the pump was defective, so I unplugged it and called A-able to correct the problem by what I thought would be replacing the old pump. Upon arrival, James made his assessment of the problem within 5 minutes and found that when water entered the sump, the water caused the float of the primary pump to rise and actually move next to the backup pump. When the water was pumped out, the float came down on the backup pump and could not shut off completely. James made simple adjustments to ensure both sump pumps were operating properly without interfering with each other. James told and showed me what he was doing every step of the way. The price was very reasonable. James is a very knowledgeable, courteous, professional.

I recently moved and used A Abel at my house I moved out of and they were very quick to respond. For some things they came on the same day. Now I’m in my new house and have used them here. All the technicians are very friendly and explain everything they do. My water softener install was easy. Brian was nice and explained all the details about it. They do so many things. They are my go to people for repairs. They are great!

1st we had a plumber come out because the upstairs shower was leaking. He dawdled around, put a whole in the ceiling of my kitchen and determined that WE should tear out the whole shower and have it all ready for them to access the pipes to repair then call them to come back out. We ended up running a camera down the pipe and no leak.. the leak was coming from the shower itself, just needed resealed. That cost us almost $300. We should have known then.But next, we needed a electrician as half of our upstairs had no power. Was assured by A-Able that the divisions are separate and we would not have the same problem. WRONG. They came out, 2 guys, spent almost 2 hours and they guessed at the problem and sent us a estimate for over $600 to repair it. Got billed 275.00 for this visit. Seemed off so we had another electrician out who determined in less than a half hour that the problem stemmed from the neutral being lost in the ceiling fan up there. No costly 600.00 repair needed. We feel we have been taken twice now and will NEVER use any of their services again. Be warned...makes me sick that they got us twice! out almost $600 for absolutely NOTHING!Update: I got a call from the supervisor and they have refunded $175.00. We still will not use or recommend in the future though.

I was impressed with how quickly A Abel responded. I called in the morning and the tech was here right after lunch. The main breaker was failing (wouldnt turn off) in my older panel. The main supplier couldnt find a replacement. Ron, our tech called other suppliers, found the correct replacement and returned the next morning to replace the breaker. Pleasant, polite and knowledgeable service. Ill continue to use A Abel.

Caleb repaired our attic fan, replacing a burned out motor and thermostat. It was a hard attic to get into, but he was a pro, even building a make-shift ladder with 2x4s to be able to reach the fan. He had all parts and tools on hand, unlike other electricians who never came prepared. Very personable and knowledgeable. Before he left, he even fixed an outlet cover in a different room that I mentioned wasn’t correct. AAbel went above and beyond.

Bathroom sink and tub drains were starting to clog up. Both drains were cleared. Plumber was informative and finished both drains in short time plus checked pipes for any possible leaks.

I have absolutely nothing good to say at this point.we had issue after issue.broken shut off.basement flooded due to line not being capped or properly secured after tech removed toilet and cut into lines causing me to have to replace flooring in guest bath company took no responsibility.just realized kitchen drain and lines are 15to the left of specified location.my guest bath toilet line was cut off 3/4 too low could not tell as flange was pulled up to cover.tub drain assembly was not as specified..and the list goes on. Aabel has yet to rectify these issues to my satisfaction

Gary installed our new faucet and soap dispenser very professionally. He removed the old, installed the new, tested everything out, then checked with us before permanently securing the new faucet. My parents had A-Abel install a new system about 5 years ago in their house. Since then my Dad has passed and my mom isnt in the healthiest condition. Have had normal maintenance done. This year ac isnt working at all. Called them out and their tech said nothing could be done and would cost $8k to install a new system. So I called another company to come check it out just as a second opinion. And the freon that has leaked Each year was from something wrong at install. And they fixed the ac for $500 blowing ice cold air. A-Abel tech wasnt there very long to diagnose the issue just came down to say it needed a whole new system. I used to always suggest you guys to everyone. How can you in good conscience do that to someone? You should make that right.

Had to have them come out and remove a water softener we installed through them 3 to 4 years ago. The softener head broke and flooded our hallway while we were taking a nap, and water was spraying everywhere and coming from a overflow valve they never hooked up.The employee did not want to come out and made sure to tell my wife the price multiple times making her feel he was not interested. He then tried to talk us into bypassing it even though we made it clear it was to be removed. Poor customer service to say the least. Something they sold us, installed, cost us 250 plus to get rid of after it failed within a few short years.The employee was the one who installed it and both times had a attitude and clearly did not want to be there doing his job and getting paid for it.We get our HVAC serviced by them twice a year and have no complaints. Their Plumbing section however falls well short of any acceptable business expectation as a customer.

I spoke with their HVAC Scheduling people to schedule an HVAC inspection for a home purchase. I even spoke with them a second time to confirm the appt and provide a lockbox code....only for them to call me 3 hours prior to the appt and tell me oh sorry, we no longer do HVAC inspections, so were cancelling.

I decided not to do the job, however I was pleased with the thorough look into what I wanted done. The company provided the estimate free of charge, but it didnt stop the expert from taking his time and giving me an accurate estimate of the job. I would definitely use them if I ever decide to go forward. I have used the company before and had absolutely no problems.

Had the annual HVAC inspection done today. Tech left telling me everything checked out alright. After his departure, when the A/C was running the outside unit was sitting idle and not cooling my home. I had to call for him to return. Evidently while hosing down the outside unit water infiltrated a control board and he had to replace. At this point I am lacking confidence entrusting the care and maintenance of my heat pump with A-abel.

Very professional and efficient, on time, took the time to explain the problem clearly, and suggested several repair alternatives, looking at saving me money. I had a very difficult issue, hidden leak, produced by prior shoddy work. This required an assessment by the HVAC folks as well which they coordinated and did not charge me for. I had 3 ceiling fans that needed to be installed.Chris and Sung were on time, courteous, professional yet friendly. They moved furniture that was in the way before beginning the installation process as well as placed tarp to protect the floors. All furniture was returned to its former place and any spare parts that were included with the packaging were given to me. They explained how to use the remote control on each fan (all 3 were slightly different) and had me use each one so I was sure I understood their instructions. They set each fan’s rotation to the winter setting and showed me where the switch location was on each.I’ve had Chris work on other electrical project at my home in the past. I like his work ethic so I have continued to request him each time I need electrical work done.

I called A-Abel this week to help with a few electrical projects, and they were able to send someone out right away. Caleb and Kyle showed up on time, called and texted beforehand to let us know they were coming, and wore masks the entire time in our house. They were both very nice, straightforward and knowledgeable. We had four exterior coach lights replaced, as well as two new exhuast fans installed in our bathrooms. Caleb and Kyle had to reroute the duct work and make new vents and did a fantastic job. They gave us a few options for what we wanted to do, not just the most expensive one, and explained all the pros and cons to us. I was impressed with how efficiently they both worked together. They even found some incorrect wiring in our attic and added a box to bring it up to code without charging us. The installation was fast, problem-free, and looks/works great! Kyle was even so nice as to stop and play basketball with my son for a quick minute on their way out the door. I couldnt ask for a better experience and will definitely call them again for more work. Every summer for 8 years our Maytag AC that we bought from their sales associate has broke down and all they do is say its not their fault, that the system they sold us (Maytag) is a bad system. That they dont even sell them anymore. Maytag says the installation was bad. We asked for a new system from Aabel and they offered 15% off a new system....thats all theyll do for us after selling us a lemon (or Maytags take that installation was bad). I give 2 stars because they come out every year to fix the unit on their dime, but its very frustrating every year to have it break down once or twice a year.
