Fantastic experience. My hair turned out exactly how I wanted!!

Their nail game needs some work. I got a Groupon from someone and not only did the nail tech not check it before she started, come to find out it was refunded without me knowing. I still offered to pay and she just charged me for the gel I added (which I didnt get on my toes which made no sense to me). I gave her a tip, but they will not receive my business again, theyre basic and I got home to find out my pedicure was ruined because my paint wasnt dried completely. The nail tech said they were but thank God this was a gift because I do not think I would have paid for this. I also had to walk around on their floor without shoes post my pedicure (normally sandals are provided). I got the most basic thing done and I see spaces on my fingers where more paint was needed, but my toes were no bueno. I had just got them done.....oh well. And all of their furniture is a mess (not normal or fat people friendly at all)....Almost broke my phone because it fell through the seat of a chair.

Amber is a fabulous person and a joy to be around. I travel 15 miles to have my hair cut by her! The salon is very nice and clean also.

Lizzie is the only person that I will let do my hair....she always tries to accommodate what ever my needs are... I travel from Virginia to have her do my hair....Robbie and Tonya are always so pleasant and ready to give the best service possible... and all of them are fabulous at their jobs!!!! Highly recommend this establishment!

Lizzie has been amazing to me the last several years! She is always excited about haircuts I want to try. Recently, I had a family issue come up and Lizzie was very sympathetic and I was able to reschedule my appointment very easily. I can’t imagine anyone else cutting my hair. (Also, she cuts my husband’s hair and he’s always incredibly hot after she’s had him in her chair!)

This review is about the mani/pedi offering for all the well meaning boyfriends.If you want to treat your girlfriend or wife to a mani/pedi, this is not the place. There are certain things that are standard with a quality manicure or pedicure and none of them were met.After waiting 2 months for this gift, I expected a high quality job. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.To begin with, I sat down in an uncomfortable, dingy armchair. The nail polish is old which means that the color was uneven and the dry time took forever. Most of the products used were drugstore products and less that quality (Im sure it didnt help that they were old).The quality of craft is simply not there. My cuticles werent trimmed back properly, there was minimal attempt at the hand/foot massage that is usually standard. The application of the polish was sloppy and constantly being cleaned up with an orange stick. My nails are still ragged after filing, the shape is not even.As you can see from the picture the final result looks like something I attempted to do at home. Its been less than 24 hours and the polish is already peeling.

Amber is amazing! She is so sweet and talented. She does my color and cut and is so reasonably priced. Ive had people screw up my hair and I always end up going to Amber to get my hair fixed. So she is my number one stylist now!

Platinum Black Salon is an awesome place. Robbi and Lizzy are very nice and loving people. Tonya is awesome she has been doing our nails for years even my mother who recently passed away. She always takes time to listen and ask how you are. She is caring and sweet and loving. I would not rather get my nails done at any other place.

The gals at this salon are fantastic! Lizzie did a great job on my extreme colored hair. She suggested doing conditioning treatments in between my color treatments. Really saved my hair from all that bleaching I was doing to my hair. The ladies here are professional and dedicated to their craft. I highly recommend!

The first time I went there was over 17 years ago to get my nails done for my daughters wedding. Now I go every 3 weeks. Tonya is not only a great nail tech but she has become one of my closest friends. Robbie cuts and colors my hair and she is amazing too. Lizzie hasnt cut my hair but Ive seen her work and she too is awesome. They are all like family. Love this place!!

My mom and I both got a mani-pedi and they were terrible. The woman was a sweetheart but my 10 yr old couldve done better. My moms toe nails werent even completely painted and it was all over the edges of our fingers.

Worst Mani Pedi EVER! For someone (Toyna) who has been doing nails for 20+ years, has no idea what she is doing!! Or doesn’t care anymore.The setup is completely unprofessional and dirty. Tonya was on her phone throughout the entire mani and pedi!Never going back.

I received a Groupon for a mani and a pedi ... the worst experience Ever!!! No professional chairs. I did not receive professional service. My nails were not dry. She didnt have air to dry my nails. That same week I went to another salon where I normally go to get my nails and feet redone. I will never suggest to anyone to go to platinum Black salon.. time and money wasted. NEVER!!!!
