Someone intercepts you as you enter and gets you on the computer. To see a live person—most of them hiding behind cubicles or in offices is nearly impossible the first time. Good luck trying to get calls returned. If you use public transit dealing with this place is nothing but a pain in the butt.Once you get through the obstacles and self importance of some of the staff you can get good leads. But it’s a bunch of paperwork and appointments to get to that point.

Theyve always helped me with anything I have needed. I have expected long wait times due to a lot of people needing help right now. They have always handled my issues within a timely manner.

I have been working with Promise Jobs in Davenport for a couple years now. They have helped me with setting and getting goals accomplished. As of now I have a job I really enjoy, All my debts are paid and I am setting my own personal goals for my future and expect so much more than i ever thought I would be able to.

They are really doing the worst possible job they could. In a time when we need organization we have nothing but 1 hour waits on phones that eventually just get denied. Theyre full of misinformation and poor guidance

My brother has been waiting for his unemployment for 4 months this is totally unacceptable!!!!!! Everyone in the office has made excuses and has passed his case off. Ive spoken to NUMEROUS people that state theyre going to handle IT? NOT but if money was owed to the state of Iowa it takes them no time to garnish or take it back. POINTLESS

I recently lost my job and was devastated...Iowa Works was my first stop and a very rewarding experience...So many resources with helpful positive staff as well as classes. I was assisted with rebuilding a quality resume...interview skills...and continue with daily job searches. All of these resources are provided for free...along with any computer assistance needed.

Website to file is the most complicated and confusing possess. Then if you make a mistake your out of luck. You dont get paid. Its the 21st century. This is insane

This is the shittiest unemployment place ever they dont return your calls they never answer the phone! LOL Whats the point of this place? You just create an account and then you get to search possible job openings in your area. You can do that at home. Job openings mean nothing. What an embarrassment to this community. People advertising for baby sitting jobs do more to help job seekers than you.
