As an employer, Marisa with Express does an absolutely FANTASTIC job talking about open positions, how to fill them, and just general advice in the hiring world. She gets to know you as an employer, and matches you with candidates that fit well with your work culture.Shes one of my go-to people when were looking to fill a position, and I look forward to continuing to work with her!

Like others have stated, they bait you into signing up with them with a great opportunity and then after you continue to call for weeks, that great opportunity just disappears. I had a position with through them a long time ago and of course was told temp to hire but thats never the case.

I had never used an employment agency before but they had advertised a position that was perfect for me. I was very encouraged after meeting with them but they immediately wouldnt send me paperwork to set up direct deposit. After that it was a disaster they would not return phone calls and the employer they set me up with was a joke and it took almost a month to get in touch with them. Never once did Express Employment follow up with me or offer to help me find another position. I finally asked what else they had and was put in for another position. I waited yet again and never heard anything from them. I ended up finding a far better job on my own. What a waste of time.

Not express, not employment and far from professional. When I signed up they promised more than they could deliver. Each time I spoke with someone I only got a whole lot of attitude. For job opportunities they have nothing but dead end manual labor jobs. If you miss a single call they make a note and all the remaining friendliness evaporates.

I walked into Express Employment not knowing anything about the company, I handed the young lady at the front desk my resume but did not think it would work out. Marisa, an Express Employment staffing consultant called me within 15 minutes and let me know if a place she felt might be a good fit. I was not expecting it to be too amazing but I needed a job. Marisa has guided me into the interview and now throughout the process. I have a few more weeks with Express Employment and then will be on full time with a job that she knew was actually perfect for me and I am now looking forward to a long career here at my new place of Employment. Thank you Marisa and Express Employment :)

Staff is professional and pleasant. Straight-forward service. Placed into a position that fit my family’s needs. No better way to find a good job. I thought highly enough about their service to leave a positive review. That says something.

I worked directly for express as a Recruiter for a whole 12 days. From day 1, things were a mess. I was training in Davenport but would eventually work in Moline and another new hire started on the same day I did doing a different job. There was lack of direction as far as what I was to be learning on a daily basis and most times. With no timeline being introduced for my training and unfortunately, my training was occasionaly put off a day or so because my lead was bogged down with other work items. These occurrences would leave me to work on items I had already learned and unable to move forward. The lead and the manager would talk about my performance in front of me or on the phone good or bad. I felt as though I was being talked about in a negative way. A few times the manager stopped by the Moline office while I was working there and didnt even speak to me. One day my lead accused me of having a spat with another girl and that I was being disrespectful of her and wasnt listening to what I was being trained on. No such incident occurred and I was highly upset by the accusations and my frustrations with my training led me to get upset and then accused that I couldnt do the job because I was getting upset about something so minor. Sorry but being in a room full of people who you dont believe like you and youre being treated like garbage, being the new girl it wasnt some little thing. In my time with express, I had learned to perform some tasks required for my job. Throughout my training period, I was left in the guidance of my lead for being trained into my role. The manager worked out of the Davenport office. During this time, I had not received goals or expectations for my training, however, in my 1:1 with my lead I was told that I am doing well with interviews, working on my flow, tax paperwork, and inbound calls. The feedback I received was to keep up the good work and that filling jobs was my next item to be trained on after we were done with interviews for the day. This 1:1 happened around 3pm and I returned to my desk to continue answering calls and such and the manager showed up. My lead and the manager disappeared to the back room and I was called in an office at 4pm to be let go for not having it.I was informed that the reasons for this decision was poor performance and that I was not on track with the training expectations after being with the company for my 3 week trial period. This was surprising to me, as I had not been informed of these expectations or of the trial period that I was in. To the best of my knowledge, I had been performing well, meeting expectations, and on track with my leads goals.- FYI 12 days is 2 weeks and 2 day not 3 weeks.- I was not given a proper training schedule to meet these 3 week expectations.- My training never seemed to be a top priority for anyone.- The manager fired me when she didnt work in the office I was in, she never checked in with me to see how things were going, and she based her decision on information from a lead who told me an hour ago I was going a good job..- Also, yes I mentioned that my training wasnt going the best when I went to the Moline office from Davenport. I let my lead know that I didnt feel I was where I needed to be and I just got a few excuses, primarily that I wasnt the only new person.. ok.12 days. I was given 12 days to apparently learn everything and I didnt even realize that was the case. Hmm. Crazy.
