A friend recommended Al Momentum when I mentioned needing to repair my mothers inexpensive watch. I wanted to buy Mom a new watch, but her dementia demanded that we try to maintain her status quo. Although her watch needed nothing more than a new battery, Mr. Giraldo checked everything out and cleaned it up, inside and out - at no additional charge. Old fashioned service that is rarely seen these days.Al Giraldo is wonderfully easy to work with. I began working with Mr. Giraldo in 2020 while he was dealing with two business challenges that would have been my undoing. As if the Pandemic werent enough, Al Momentums shop in Preston Royal was ravaged by the October 2019 tornado that tore through the heart of North Dallas. While the building with his shop is being restored, Mr. Giraldo works out of an apartment across Noel Road from the Galleria, where he meets with customers by appointment in the buildings well-lighted lobby with comfortable seating.My two dealings with Mr. Giraldo have been worthy of recommendation. I look forward to benefitting from his craft in the future.

Al is the best in all of North Texas! If he cant do it, it cant be done. I have had a ladies diamond watch that everyone else said they wouldnt attempt to fix it. That watch sat in a drawer for years and years. It looked so nice, but it didnt work. Then I found Al. He didnt blink, not a problem. He took it, replaced the workings, cleaned it up and it looks and works good as new. Thanks Al!! If you need anything watch, jewelry etc., Al is the man!

I took my fathers wrist watch to Al to see if it was worth repairing as I had no idea of its value. He can do anything, including servicing high-end watches (i.e. Rolex, Breitling, etc.) at an extremely reasonable price. No more over-paying or sending your watch away for 8-10 weeks for service. His retail location was destroyed in the tornado of 2019, but he is available by appointment just near the Galleria. CALL HIM TODAY!

Al is one of the best watch technicians I have ever met. Watches are fickle items, and repair shops often try to take advantage of customers with little experience with watch repair costs. Al is the exception.I brought 5 watches in for repair. He explained what the watches needed and quoted a low price for all of the work. Great customer service and very pleasant to deal with.. I had to have some stuck ear studs cut of. Also had to change batteries on 3 watches. I brought some batteries i brought of amazon which Al said he doesnt recommend since they were ant to expire n could leak acid. He swore by Swiss batteries which i got for 2 of my nice watches.Paid 30 bucks for 2 battery change and to cut of 3 ear rings. He didnt charge me to change the battery I bought.Al was very pleasant, nice and honest. He was prompt and got everything done under 10 minutes.I wont for anywhere else for jewelry or watch repair. After spending a few minutes working with my clock, Al fixed my issue and turned me away without asking for a dime. Al is the best! If you need a new battery for your watch, youd be doing yourself a disservice if you didnt go see him! His pricing is great ($18 for a designer watch battery replacement), hes nice, and hes not trying to rip you off. He asked if I could stay for ten minutes because he could replace my battery right then and there. Made my day!

Would highly recommend! Fully repaired my dads old Movado from the ground up for $100, where other places were quoting $200+. Did an amazing job on the repair and polish and it is honestly looking brand new now. Will be bringing any timepiece/jewelry to Al from now.

Poor customer service to African Americans. I was not acknowledged when I entered.there was a white lady sitting to be waited on she grabbed her purse like i was going to steal it. I mean she put a Hercules grip under her shoulder to it. So i stepped out she the thought I left. She put it down. About 5 mins I returned. She grabbed it again. I still was not acknowledged. I had to rudely interpt the workers and say I would like help. Another white gentlemen walked in. They greated him with pleasure and a smile. Never will I refer anyone here.
