I just moved here and i can say I truly feel at home and i love my one bed room and i love the staff too..ruby is a true blessing to me and my son she gave us a home i have a painting for her I’m working on and she deserve it all...thank you the lux. And thank you ruby we love y’all

Nightmare! I was moved into this apt with no working appliances, the oven, the fridge was not working The dishwasher was filled with Smelling dirty water I was never given a lease I ask for it The Manager said I will bring it never did

Please avoid these apartments unless you want to get get sick. There is no proper security and you will see trash and dog poop everywhere. Also , I should mention about Your car being broken into. Suspicious activity everywhere.

Ive been a resident here since March 2019. I decided to choose “The Lex” because they were the only “decent” apartment complex willing to work with my rental history. The process of getting approved was pretty easy. No problems there. It was a beautifulI’ve apartment, but I knew it was too good to be true once I moved in. The first day I moved in, I noticed “German roaches throughout the apartment. I was deeply concerned about this, and refused to move my furniture in, until the infestation was treated. Unfortunately, I moved in on a Sunday so the apartments pest control could not do anything until Monday. They came Monday, and “so-called treated it”, but I still noticed a lot of roaches even after the treatment. I then decided to hire my own pest control service to clear it, and there were no problems after that.After a month of living at the Lex, I noticed a lot of “barking” coming from neighbors dogs in their yards. The barking was intense. It would happen anytime during the day, continuing late at night up until 3-4am. I was not getting any sleep because of this. I told the office, and spoke to assistant manager, Jessica about the issue. She promised me time after time( she will address it with the residents, but the problem never resolved. I had to take it in my own hands, and contact animal services and the Dallas police department to get the issue resolved. Shortly after the resident with the barking dog, moved out. I finally thought to myself, “Yes, I can get peaceful sleep now.”, but shortly after, a new resident moved in with another dog. Same breed and everything, and yes... it constantly barked. But that’s not all. Across from my apartment, a lady moved in with 3 barking dogs. So no more peaceful sleep for me anymore.This is a nice apartment complex for the area and money, but unless you want pest problems and interrupted sleep, do not move here. The apartment is way to animal friendly, plus it smells like animal feces, because people allow their dogs to take craps in their mini backyards and don’t pick it up. I will make sure my next apartment, isn’t so animal friendly, and also professional.Also, they say they have a courtesy officer on duty, but I was told recently that there isn’t.Please learn from my experience and save your time moving here: it isn’t worth the headache!

I lived here a couple of years ago, and now Im applying to get back in. Staff is here is absolutely amazing! Looks better than ever with all the renovations theyve made! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I can honestly say that i love my apartment. I love the black on black appliances and the fact that there is no carpet anywhere in my apartment. The apartment is completely updated . Everyone that has visited me has expressed how nice my apartment is. I dont have a dog but the dog park is big and nice also. The staff is very friendly and the application process was quick. They were upfront with me about the rent and any additional charges i may have before i signed the lease. Before signing my lease i read all of the reviews and is shocked that my experience has been completely different. I was expecting the worst but its not like that at all. I have not had any pest or neighborhood problems. This is one of the best apartments i have ever had and this is my honest review.

The property is really nice from the outside, though the area around it is kind of of bad. The apartments are secure, you have to have a code to get in and out to prevent theft. The inside of the apartments look really nice and you cant really beat the price. The appliances are upgraded and the size of the unit is nice. The offer backyards with a new gate that allows privacy or you can have a patio or balcony. Maria and Bridget are super nice and they always help out when you need it. I am comfortable here.12/10/2014I have been living here for about 6 months now and i have come to see the flaws in the apartment. Do not get the wood floors because they are laminated and they collect dust and dirt all day long no matter how much cleaning you do. Also be sure to notify the apartment of their roach infestation problem. Kids play on the gate and break it every other day which makes security relaxed. There have been a few car break ins because the gate isnt secure. the maintenance men dont knock and follow through weeks later with request to fix the apartment. Also the yards arent worth the additional 30 dollars if you dont have any grass and just dirt in the lot that your paying additional for. Lastly the parking is hideous. I had to purchase covered parking because i could never find a parking spot when i got off of work. i had to call the apartments sponsored tow truck company five times because someone parked in my spot and i got no response and had to park outside the gate though i have been paying for a spot. To make a long story short i was impressed the first day but as time progressed i feel that i am looking forward to moving and when my lease is over.

The Lex has nice spacious apartments. The staff is very helpful, nice, and professional. The only downside to living here is dealing with the bugs. They were here the day I received my keys. They have sprayed. I have sprayed, been sure to not leave dishes or anything that attracts them, take the trash out daily, as well as cleaning the floors daily Nothing seems to help.... I wish they could find a solution. I like living here, but I dont like having to play exterminator every day.

It wouldnt get a star at all if it where up to me!!! So the Manager Miss Melissa forged my name to justify towing a family members car!! Ive been living here for yrs and have NEVER had a problem with towing!! IVE CALLED AND EMAILED HER BOSS MS. RENEA HANSEN ABOUT HER FORGING MY NAME TO JUSTIFY TOWING NO REPLY NO ANSWER AS OF YET! Even though I have the manager Melissa on video threatening me being rude and she sarcastically admitting forging my name on the NEW TOW POLICY, a document I have never seen before until she had the maintenance man put it on my door!! It was clearly NOT my signature not one MANAGER signed it!! This place is a RIP OFF!! And they do business with LONG HORN TOWING a company with a bad rep. for illegally towing cars!! Its roach infested and I dont know Anyone who is HAPPY HERE! Dont be fooled by the look the management is horrible and so is their HUMAN RESOURCES!! DO NOT RENT HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

Do not lease here unless you have to!!!!This is a very unkept place by residents and staff. Many residents have pets and do not pick up after them. Their trash is not placed inside trash bins when fully capable of doing so. Let’s not get started on the cockroach issue. Does not matter how many times you spray the apt by pest control.They sure don’t miss a charge on your monthly pest control fee though.The issue going on now isWE DO NOT HAVE TRASH DUMPSTERS!It’s been about 2 weeks and trash has just been piling up in the area where dumpsters belong. No concerns by corporate obviously.Plus plenty of others issues like used condoms on roads and trash through out the property.Amenities are not all that great.And the apartment itself is not up kept like they show on pictures.The front staff is also very unskilled at mostly everything.And to be completely honest the only two hard working people I see around here is the two maintenance guys!

Great updates for your money. Hardwood floors black alliances etc. However there is a strong possibility of unwanted roommates. Yes, roaches. I have had them since a week after I moved in (the end of May) and still have them. I called on two occasions for pest control to spray my apartment and they did not show. Im spending money out of my own pocket to get rid of these roommates but, it doesnt help if my neighbors are not doing the same thing. I honestly think its ridiculous you have to call every two weeks to get your apartment sprayed. They should spray all the apartments automatically. I can honestly say, this has been the worse apartment I have ever stayed in. I cannot wait until my lease is up so I can move.I typically do not write reviews, so for me to take time out to let the public know about my experience here, shows how unpleased I am.

I have lived here for almost a year. When I first moved in meaning before I put my things in there were roaches that part is true. But I bombed and used ant powder and was rid of them in a week or two, and have not had another problem. I dont blame the management, I blame the nasty residents. Apartment is beautiful, but a little expensive for the area. Office staff pretty nice, only pissed me off once, other than that have been caring and understanding. I would recommend this place to others.PS: I did hate living in front of a school ,especially when trying to get to work.

Lord where do I start ...me and my husband stayed here for 1 year and this was our second apartment ever so we are new to the apartment life but might I say this is the most horrible thing I have ever had to deal with ... First there were a boat load of roaches the day we moved in, mine you we bought all new furniture for this apartment ... So that was the first strike ... Second we had cats that kept crawling and our chimney and meowing... It took them forever to free the poor kitten and last but not least ... RATS were there the last month of us moving out ... It was all a horrible experience. I would not recommend this apartment for my worst enemy! But then again you pay for what you get so... Yeah! And dont even try to contact corporate she will never call you back I think she works 1 hour a week which is pretty pathetic ...

So far so good!! Ive been at the Lex for almost a month now. Everything is updated in the apt. The apts themselves are very quite. well besides being right next to 635 but you barely notice it inside your apt. There isnt much foot traffic, besides people walking their dogs. BTW the complex is pit bull friendly, which was an easy sale for me. There are yards attached to the apartments. There are washer and dryer connections. They respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. This place is really a diamond in the rough. I honestly shouldnt be writing this review in hopes that my rent doesnt go up when its time to renew next year. The location is amazing to both 635 and 75. Cant ask for much more in the price range. Their prices change daily so you do have to keep checking to see when the prices drop. I thought the elementary school in the front would be an issue. But do to my work schedule I barely notice that its there. If you have an aggressive breed and can get in for a reasonable price do so. (2 thumbs up so far) will update if things change.

If we new management here why did it take you so long to fix our water problem due to gas leak.. They sent out first notice stating that the water and gas leak will be fix the following next day.. I come home the next day and there still no hot water... There no notice on my door with any updates.. I had to call the office and get updates.. She quote that the water should be fix by tomorrow..

So Filthy And Disgusting , I Was Looking Forward To Renting A Town Home Here. The Day I Received The Keys To The Place The Lease Wasnt Even Set And Stone . Once I Found The Actually Townhome I Was Supposed To Be Moving In, It Was Roaches Crawling All Over The Outside Door , Once The Roaches Disappeared I Took A Tour Of The Place , The Door Was Beat Up , Dents In The Wall , Stains On The Carpet And Paint On The Wood In The Bedrooms Also Dead Roaches Spread All Over The House , Last But Not Least CATS WERE LITERALLY FLYING ALL OVER THE PLACE. After Experiencing This I Returned All The Keys And Ripped Up The Lease .

Half of these reviews are from the previous management company look at the years before u judge,so...I have been here at the Lex 10 months now, never had a problem with new staff management they are great, always helped me in the time of need, even when I had to be late on rent office worked with me. When i moved in I had a bug problem but I realized the pesticides didnt work from the BUGPatrol but I did go out and spend 10 dollars on Combat and it took about 2 weeks and I havent seen a roach in 7 months. But most complaints on here are from people that live nasty due to their love for 10 dogs in 1 apartment and havent paid their pet deposits ijs, or gambled rent money, or lack of cleaning which makes other apartments have bug problems. Other than that u will love your stay yes we r located around all kinds of ghetto apartments but this is truly a diamond in the ruff. This is a true review from a real tenant that stays on property now, and Im thinking about renewing my lease for another 15 months if there is another unit available aside from my neighbors that obtain stray dogs they probably picked up from Oakcliff. Move here you want regret it. Always remember u get what u pay 4 so if u looking for high end I recommend downtown Camden or the village starts at 1300 trust me i been there b4 thanks.

Nothing but an amazing little tucked off little cozy community...away from all the rift raft traffic that surrounds that area..but who am i to judge ...i couldnt get an apt here if i tried my best and had all the money in the world...being homless and have worked for everything i got ..ive learned the hard way to appreciate most all things....but my credit isnt good...and for 3 years now ive been back in Texas and becuase 1 horrible apts forest hills and the other was fine...just life happened andcouldnt catch up ..and had no help ...i had to break lease and regroup with my mom on her couch....hard lessons indeed but what i wouldnt give to have the money i make now and just a chance to for once in my entire 33 years of living just move into one place i want to move into and justbe excepted....but heck maybe in 4 years ...until then las brisas is saying i still owe them for 5000 plus and just recently i might add might even be adding to that total apparently and allegedly reporting that i either live there or owe them rent ...i moved from there thinking i was in good standing with only two months away from upholding my lease agreement...even working with that management team and doing all the right things a responsible person would do to make that happen ..still notjing i can do....different staff.etc. fiance was hit by yellowcab and lost her job temporarily for physical therapy and well alot of just life i guess...mind you my rent was 650 about half what i make now a week..and yet with two months and advise from staff yo just break lease and they woulndt file eviction on me...i believe did...and all i would of owed was 1300 for rest of contractual agreement and place was spotless upon movouut.but if you people are looking for a excellent friendly cozy clean and affordable place to rent or live...the Lex is superb choice...i may not have tried to or even lived here but trust me...or heck dont...but this is a excellent place to live ...perfect in every way from what i inspected and im pretty picky, meticulous, and clean as well as my fiance... but not a bad thing to say about this place. ..great staff and accommodating...pick this place guys its awesome!!! Or dont and when my rental history is cleaned up i will...more room for us..lol..jk....

Good luck renting an apartment here... the roaches take up more room than you and your family will. They crawl across the walls broad on daylight. Fall out of the cabinets when you open the doors... The first day I was moving in I took a bag of clothes to my bedroom closet and had to kill 5 in the closet upon opening the door. I have sprayed, bombed, my neighbors have done the same at the same time as me. The exterminator comes to my apartment more than 3 times a month and they are worse now than when I moved in 9 months ago. These apartments are infested, I was told by the exterminator that they have to be in the wall. They will charge you for the water bills that are from other residents washing their cars, sprinklers that are watering the sidewalks AND them refilling the filthy pool almost every month in the summer. My water bill (and gas included only the hot water heater is gas...) runs me 2 times more than when I lived in a 3 bedroom brick home. I called the office for over a month to try to get the code to the walk through gate and was told they didnt have hte code and couldnt afford to pay the company to come and reprogram the code, I should just use the other walk through gate that is on the opposite side from where I park and where my apartment it. When leaving the complex for work one morning there was a homeless man sleeping by the dumpster which is about 10 feet from the keypad to get out of the gate. This is a huge safety hazard. Also, there was a security guard in the complex during the summer who would harass my kids while at the pool, but when some children from another complex was coming by my apartment throwing rocks there was no security to be found. And on top of all the issues, I am paying more for a 2 bedroom townhome with bootleg upgrades than I was in a 3 bedroom brick house.

Worst scamming apartments to ever live in.The water bill ranges from 60 to 135 depending on weather the apartments had a leak due to poor maintenance on there behalf.Ive had people steal out of my home when Im not around the people in the office could only say well we hired a different company for that make a report.Just dont go Im telling you they used to be called SHADOWRIDGE they changed the name they had such a bad Rep.Its sad how apartments get over on people it really is..I had to break this lease and move from the roaches to the gun shoots to the rude ghetto unprofessional management and corporate yes I broke my lease I did not feel safe now theres a 1800$ bill on my credit from them and they try really hard to collect.How dare them I should be asking for money all my Inconvenience stress and horror leaving there was.They need to close them down and the owner should feel really bad scamming people.. Same Bs just changed the name an repainted isnt that how they do in Dallas.Rent is a arm and leg and for what?????Saying the cost of living went up but jobs still pay the same. No they found a reason to compete with SMU campus down the street all the brand new high rises and ran with it when the area and apartments are still the same Bs.Reading the response from the owner is Bs I moved because I had no choice at 7 am someone a random person tried to break in my home because the area is drug infested the office hired and or owner hired a company who stole something out my home and I was simply told to call the police an make a report,the water always leaked outside and down the road which made the bill range from 60/135$ a month the Roach problem was ridiculous several times I tried to call corporate because of these problems never got in touch with anyone or a returned call.No I didnot have a upgraded unit your wrong when you say that and if my safety is at hand why would I not break the lease and move somewere safe.Why keep paying a rigged up company who cant even return my call or care about the residents that have been leaving there.Million Dollar Renovations lol yea I bet lol no you changed the name and painted there is still Roach problems and water leaks lol.Just dont move there you will be disappointed I wasnt evicted I left just up to my wits end with paying a company who clearly didnt give a dam about there residents. The people who are complaining about this apartment are bitter and hate life, Ive been here for months, Ive had many apartments in my life and they all have problems!!! But this one trys and I see me and my wife living here for years to come. I have not seen 1 roach (its called cleaning people) the staff is super nice!!! If you think there mean then stop coming in and yelling at them about things that are out of there control!!! Walked in twice to see people complaining about crazy crap that aint there fault, as is most of the people who post negative reviews!!! Someone please give these people a hug next time you see them

My name is S. Dawson I have to write this under my wifes google account because I can not remember my google pass word! I have been living in THE LEX DALLAS since it was SHADOW RIDGE VILLIAGE when I first moved in my apartment was filthy and NOT move in ready the manager at the time Miss Joseph was rude when I told her I didnt have running HOT water! Finally after 4months of cold showers in the winter I finally had to call code compliance for them to send maintenance to properly fix the issue!! Now they are called THE LEX DALLAS 3 in a half years later and unfortunately things are a little worse!! There have been at least 3 instances when Ive come home from work and couldnt get in my apartment gate because it was blocked off by police due to SHOOTINGS! They look nice but I know for a fact the surrounding area is DANGEROUS! There has been a high turn over of rude KNOW IT ALL MANAGERSr!!! But the straw that broke the camels back is the PARKING!! When I come home at night I cant even park in a spot next to my apartment and to add insult to injury they have a horrible towing policy!! My cousin came to visit with me around 10:00 last night about 30miins later her car was towed by LONG HORN TOWING COMPANY (A company that has an F by the better business bureau and is know to unlawfully tow cars!) In my yrs of living here my visitors have NEVER gotten their cars towed especially for a short visit!!! So I called the current manager Ms. Mellissa and she informed me that my visitors had to have a sticker or a visitors pass!! I was under the clear impression that they only needed a visitors pass if they where staying OVERNIGHT!!! NOT if its a short 30min visit!! I paid almost $200 to get my cousins truck out of towing late last night!! This is a NEW MANAGER PEOPLE!! shes only been here a few months and Ive been here for years and have NEVER experienced this issue!! To add EVEN MORE INSULT to injury in their towing policy they force you to PAY extra rent for covered parking knowing there are very few parking spots in the 1st place so you have to pay for a covered parking spot or not park at all!!! I advise you to reconsider moving into the LEX DALLAS!! If you like RUDE MANAGERS, NOT having a parking spot when you get home from work, NON VISITOR FRIENDLY parking, a complex who hires towing companies who are known to falsely tow cars & has an F by the better business bureau, A property that lies about there amenities on the property @ their website, for example it currently says on THE LEX WEBSITE that there is a FITNESS CENTER and door pick-up for trash!! NEITHER ONE of these amenities exist!! And if you dont mind ROACH INFESTATION (All the while increasing your rent), RENT AT THE LEX DALLAS!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE!!

I lived in this community for 2 years... we as a community been trying to lower the outrageous water bill for this complex, the water bill are ranging from 115-140 monthly for over a year. Ive called and left many messages for the Corporate since the beginning of this year, and not once has my called been return;(receptionist advise that whoever works this complex travels and doesnt have to reply....really..smh... Plus, My car has got broken into as well as my house. If moving her take in to consideration.
