Fants came out a few weeks ago to provide an estimate. I decided to move forward with having a tree removed and schedule a date. The day came and no one showed so I waited til around noon before calling to see what was going on. I was told that they most likely wouldnt be out because the first job of the day was taking longer than intended. No big deal, they got me back on the schedule for the following week. The scheduled day came and went. I didnt receive a phone call, and I didnt bother calling this time. I understand that things happen but I am not in the habit of chasing people to take my money. Found another company to do the job at a significantly better price. The tree came down today. My property is filled with trees and Fants probably would have been my go to if they had bothered with basic courtesies.

Two scheduled estimates, two day of cancellations. Both Times I altered my work schedule to be available. I know things come up, but twice in a week gave me no choice but to move forward with another company

They are amazing! They are mindful and respectful and professional and they left our yard in mint condition when they were done! They are all super nice and very very qualified! I highly recommend them! The only challenge we ran into was scheduling and that is just because they are so busy!

We did have some scheduling issues along the way, but once Matthew and his crew came out they did a fantastic job. They removed a large tree and its stump along with a few scraggly evergreens and cleaned everything up really well before they left. Their price was fair, and Im glad I stuck with them in the end because Im very happy with their work.

Fants Tree Service said they could come out to bring down a tree for me quickly because I was on a tight timeline. Hooray!Well, it has been over a month since the estimate and they have scheduled and cancelled on me too many times to count. I give up. Im contacting someone else. Extremely frustrated by and disappointed in this business.

Showed up on time on time. Had a very large crew of 12 guys and high end equipment. The tree climbers were fascinating to watch! Finished the job much sooner than I expected. Clean up was perfect. I will recommend and hire again!

These guys did a fine job. Start fo finish. Took down a very large, leaning tree safely and efficiently. Very impressive. Large, knowledgeable crew with solid experience. Nice clean up job. It was a pleasure to work with Thomas, Matthew, Kristy and all of the team. I will be calling again for any tree services I may need. Thank you, Fant’s.

I work closely with these guys as I own/operate a construction company. The last two roofs I have installed they did the tree removals at the properties. They do a fantastic job, very solid & experienced with the best climbers & equipment around. You won’t find a better full service tree company.

The entire process, from initial phone call to estimate to job completion was prompt and professional. They did a great job of tree trimming, removal, and cleaning up when they were done. They are very well organized and efficient and charge a very fair price. We would definitely hire Fants Tree Service again and recommend them without reservation.

This crew did an awesome job taking down 4 trees on our property, as well as pruning some trees back and cleaning out our gutters. They were very communicative, courteous, showed up on time, worked hard, and clearly knew what they were doing. They cleaned up our yard after completing the work and got everything done just as we had discussed. Highly recommend to anyone needing tree work.

Thomas and his men have been taking care of my trees for over 30 years. In fact, they take care of most of the whole neighborhood. My door gets knocked multiple times a week from tree guys. In will not let anyone else in my yard. Thomas has been good to me. He knows his stuff and always does a great job. If you want quality work done from an experienced crew, give Fants a call!

When I was overwhelmed by the amount of damage that a storm did to my yard and didnt even know where to start, Matt walked into my yard, immediately gave me a very fair estimate, and had chainsaws working almost immediately. They were very professional and cleaned up my yard to a degree that I was not expecting. I have, and will continue, to recommend them.

I met with a few different tree service companies in NOVA before selecting Fants. I met with Thomas and his grandson, Matthew. They were not the cheapest, but they were not the most expensive either. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and down to earth. I watched Matthew climbing the tree that they removed and was very impressed! If you are looking for an efficient, professional company that knows their stuff, these are your guys! I will be using Mr. Fant and his team for all of my work.

Fants left a Well be in your neighborhood so let us know if you need work done flyer in my mailbox last week. Coincidentally, I needed a couple of trees removed and multiple stumps grinded, and had already gotten a few quotes from other businesses. Matthew came out the next day and gave me a quote that was hundreds less than the other ones I received. He and his crew were able to start three days later! They removed a codominant 50ft poplar and two catalpas and ground seven stumps in just a few hours. Im extremely happy with their quality, especially at such a reasonable price.

This is the best tree service I have found. My whole neighborhood uses Mr Fant. They are very knowledgeable and professional. I recommend him to everyone I know and no one has ever been disappointed.

I wish I had the same good experience that other reviewers did. I had to call multiple times to get follow-up information on taking down a couple trees in my yard after I was initially quoted for the work by this company. The day that they were supposed to come take the trees down, no show. And no call. Pretty disappointed but I guess Fants doesn’t want to take my money so I’ll take it elsewhere.

We had major damage from a storm with at least a dozen very large trees down and many branches as big as a tree. The Fant crew gave us a reasonable price to clean up the mess and then brought in a large crew and equipment and knocked it out in 2 days flat. They left us with perfectly cut firewood rounds and hauled away the unusable garbage. They even raked the leaves and small twigs! I am still stunned by the amount of damage but very happy we hired the Fant team. Very nice work!

Mr. Fant did all of my tree work for as long as I can remember. He was quite a young man when he started. No one does better work or knows more about trees than Mr. Fant.His grandson, Matthew used to keep my yard up when he was just a tiny boy. Now he’s a grown man himself and doing a fine job of leading his grandfathers business. We’ve had some wonderful times together. I remember Matthew coming and taking care of my yard when he was just 8 or 9 years old. He would weed eat, get up leaves, mow etc. I had never met such a hard working child. We would go out to lunch together, too. I have enjoyed all of our times together over the years. Unfortunately, I have since sold my home. Now, I live in a retirement community. Mr. Fant and his grandson, Matthew will always be a treasure in my heart. Good, honest people who do excellent work.
