Such a wonderful dealership! I consulted with many BMW dealers around me and chose to drive 1.5 hours to Crystal Lake to get my dream car. Throughout the whole process leading up to the purchase date, the staff stayed in contact with me keeping me updated on the financing status, purchase status, and steps needed in advance of the purchase day. Due to technicalities, financing was a rollercoaster, but at the end of the day, Leah, Heather, Michelle, Ralph, and Jim all teamed up and got me an AMAZING (truly) deal on my dream car! In 2 hours from arriving, I had a new car! Such a respectful, not pushy staff that earned my respect and business for years to come. This place is worth the drive! This team is genuine and values their clients! My experience was exceptional! 10/10

Greetings! We were recently looking to upgrade our aging X5 and we had zeroed in on a performance version of an X6 or X4... This would be our fourth BMW purchase in about 10 years. We do a lot of virtual shopping and research and truly enjoy shopping nationally and negotiating hard. Being from Chicago, we have at least a 1/2 dozen dealers to choose from and so take our time to find the best fit.We found a lovely well-equipped X4M competition at Crystal Lake and while this was a lot of car for our needs, it was very tempting.What made the difference here was the service from Leah in advance and Michelle and Heather at the dealership. The GM even came out to great me. But the win really goes to Leah who negotiated with me a very good value for the car, our trade, and even an extra set of tires for the winter which she offered at a significant discount. I had several other deals working at the same time and hers was by far the best. Some of the other dealers wouldn’t even follow-up at all. Guess they have lots of other customers and didn’t care if I walked away.In summary, this is a small country dealership but offers a high level of professionalism and service. It’s worth the long but pretty drive out there from the city if that is where you live. The selection is modest compared the the city dealers’ inventories, but what Anderson has in stock is top notch and I would guess hand-selected. There was an awesome M8 in the showroom and a well-equipped X7 outside…and of course the X4M comp we bought. They can also tell you in advance what is coming in and you can plan your purchase as well. Cars are in crazy demand these days so plan ahead and be prepared to move when you find the best match!UPDATE (ON VEHICLE ITSELF) - Just a few quick notes on the car itself for those considering an X4M or similar - This car will move you in terms of acceleration, handling, comfort, and sound. Even in anodyne (Alpine) White, its a head turner. I have had numerous parking lot and gas station conversations with car guys who noticed the vehicle. For the price you get a whole lot of car (compare with an Urus, for example).What honestly surprised me was the level of practicality. I recently took the family on a short road trip and we comfortably fit three adults, one car seat, and a mid-sized child. We also were able to pack lightly but completely. There are a lot of comments in the review-verse about a rough ride. I honestly dont find this to be the case. When you soften the X4M Comp up with all the comfort and quiet settings, its nearly as comfy as our old X5 cruiser. I prefer a stiffer car, but the X4M is nearly sedan-like in full comfort settings.My day-to-day is Sport Plus in engine and steering, Sport in suspension, middle setting (Sport) for transmission and exhaust baffles open. We love the way that rides around town and on short trips. On longer cruises, we go to comfort in all settings, quiet the exhaust, and put on the ACC. With these settings the car is soothing and youll risk falling asleep. In stop and go traffic, the ACC settings significantly reduce fatigue. Its truly semi-autonomous. Still getting used to the auto parking settings.Things to keep in mind: Strongly consider Winter tires if you expect snow and ice during the year (and perhaps rims) and a plan for storing and mounting them, non run-flat tires, getting used to the automatic parking and ACC functions, the 1000-way adjustable seats...too many choices, ground clearance if you are venturing off paved roads, insurance premium up-ticks, and locating a track for seriously pushing the car. You really cant enjoy an M fully without a track of some kind (Ive been told).In summary, if you need a car that can easily outperform all but a few vehicles on the road (like a 911 Turbo or a newer Corvette) but are still saddled (I mean blessed) with family duties...or you simply dont want the image of a traditional sports car, this is your ride. Its really niche but also enjoyable and all-out superb. It checks all the boxes for performance, fun and practicality.

This dealership is wonderful! I set up a test drive online after closing time and the next morning received a phone call from Leah confirming my appointment. I arrived at the dealership and was pleasantly greeted by Michelle Canova, the saleswoman helping me. We went over to her desk where she handed me the keys to the car I was going to test drive and told me I could take the car for a drive on my own and to let her know when i returned. When i got back Michelle was more then helpful with any questions I had about the vehicle. The negotiation process was hassle free and very timely with no sketchy sales tactics. I arranged for a time total the car to my mechanic, Michelle was more than accommodating with my hectic schedule making this a very pleasant and easy car buying experience. I was treated with respect and my time was not at all wasted like at many other dealerships. I would 100% recommend this dealership and Michelle to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle!

I found the service to be fine, though a bit slow. The chairs in the waiting room were torn up and very unprofessional for an upscale automobile dealership. I would recommend a waiting room face lift, especially for those of us waiting well over an hour. Doesn’t give a good impression. First impressions 101 guys……….😐

I wish I had bought my BMW with Anderson. Today is the second time I’ve needed them for service. The first was a minor issue with the cooling system, and today the general manager, (Dan, I believe his name is) the gal behind the desk (Liyaha - can’t spell 😅) and the everyone there overall have always been a pleasure to work with.I needed a part/sensor for my brakes. Service was closed today (probably due to Covid/short on personal) and the service guy still came in with his awesome bulldog, just to grab the part and sell it to me. Then Dan apologized to me for the wait. Dan, absolutely no apologize necessary. You guys all rock! Brought my BMW 535 in for a recall. Left the car for 3-4 days. Got it back with missing bolts under the hood. Also a loose metal brace toward the front of the car. Contacted the dealer and was told the manager was going to call me back. 18 months later I contact them again... tell them the same story again. Was again told a manager will call me back. 10 days later still no call. Dont ever bring your car in for service here unless you want missing bolts.

I called and spoke with Leah regarding the availability of a vehicle. She said it would take a few minutes to locate the vehicle and she would call me right back. (in the next 10 to 15 minutes she said)....Well, it took 4 hours for her to call me back. She said that someone was out for a test drive and they did not submit a credit application to purchase the vehicle yet, but she would know the next morning if they did or not and that she would call me and let me know. Its been 4.5 hours later since they opened for the day and still no phone call. I can only imagine what their after sales service would be like? Thanks Leah for showing me the level of service your dealership offers.

Terrible experience at this dealership. I saw a car listed for 22,000 and I tried negotiating with the salesman and after he came back from “talking to the manager” THE PRICE OF THE CAR WAS 22,500! I asked the salesman about the increase and he blamed it on the managers mistake. Shouldn’t the manager be “trained” enough to not “accidentally” increase the price when asked for it to be reduced? After trying to charge me this extra $500 they didn’t reduce the price by even $1. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY AN EXTRA $500 SNUCK ON THE PAPERWORK.

As soon as you agree to a number the 5 star went to a 1 star. Bought a new 2020 BMW 550I they had a new sales person deliver the car with no knowledge on the car at all. Signed the paper work and a day later I get a call saying the rebate was wrong and my payments should go up $30 a month or I would have to pay $1,000 more. I told the sales manager that I was not going to do this as it was a mistake on their end. She told me dont worry we will eat it. Thats because you have to it was already signed paperwork. Still have not received my license plate on the car as its been 4 weeks now. Still learning things everyday on the car because you would think they would send someone right away when you buy a new car to show them how to use it. It went from a fun excited day getting the car to feeling left in the dark.

Is there a zero star option? Placed a deposit on a Z4 I inquired on via Cars.com on 9/24. Used their online portal to set up an appointment to view and to test drive as well as submit my trade information, personal info, and place a deposit (via PayPal). We arrived on Saturday (9/26) only to be told the car was sold out from under us and our deposit DID NOT hold it. No offer to refund the deposit, we are filing a fraud case via PayPal and our credit card.

Most of the time you have to wait, but they got me in within an hour of calling to get a tire fixed. I forgot to mention that I am from Southeastern MI so I had a long drive ahead that day. That said I wish we would have rotated the tires or they would have looked at the status of the tires and made a recommendation. Still 5 star and polite people. Thanks!

First off, the services I got from this establishment were an oil change and a top off on fluids. No issue there, totally fine. Where my reason for such a low rating comes into play is the rip-off pricing on parts. No exaggeration either, they price their parts way more than most places. I figured this might of just been my assumption, but I did my research anyhow and went to get quoted on the same parts in the surrounding BMW stores within a 40 mile radius. Every single one quoted me close to $200 less than what they (Anderson BMW) quoted me. To make matters worse, I jokingly went a second time to Anderson to get quoted on a headlight bulb change and the rep looked me in the eyes and said “BMW lights bulbs are pretty expensive so to swap one out and replace it with labor costs should run you around $180”. FYI, I told this man that I wasn’t asking for the assembly piece of the OEM bulb, only the bulb change. Simple. I tried so hard to hold in my laughter knowing I could just go to an AutoZone and buy the specific bulb for $9 and install myself. In conclusion, if you value your hard earned money, time, and respect, do not buy parts from this business. They will overprice every part and every major service labor cost and hope you will be oblivious to it and accept. If you need a simple oil change for your German vehicle, I would only recommend going here for that. Hope this review helps those looking to consider this place.

Nice.Only suggestion I would make is that when you schedule a service and provide the vehicleInformation and inform them that the rear tire needs to be replaced because their is a staplein it for them not to say “did anyone check to see if the tire is in stock.” I mean the appointment was scheduled a week in advance. Thankfully they had the tire and were able to fix quickly.

World class service. PERIOD. Never have I felt that I was being taken advantage of in the service department. I am mechanically intelligent and know my way around the automobile. So I know when a mechanic/dealership is trying to up sell for things you dont need for your car. This has never happened here. They have always been honest, open, nice, and pleasant. Ive been a customer for over two years and will continue to be one for the lifetime of my car. Ive never dealt with thier sales department but I imagine its just as good. Everyone here was great! I did not walk in to buy a $100k bmw but I was treated like I was. Bob and Derrick were wonderful and very helpful. Got the car I wanted at the deal I wanted. A 5 star review is modified to 1 star. On a Tuesday, I had the oil changed in a 2014 BMW X1. This is the second time I’ve had to bring it back due to a leak bigger than my footprint.I took it back and after a cold reception, excuses and a verbal exchange, they rectified the problem with more excuses. On Thursday, I received an email and TWO phone calls from “customer service”. I left a message saying I wanted to talk to them. The following Monday I receive a call from CS saying they were returning my call. Like they didn’t have a clue why I was calling. I firmly told her my frustration and disappointed. She agreed with me. Said she’d check into it and have her boss call me... YESTERDAY!!! Tuesday 6 pm, I’ve written them off.You better hope they get it right the first time because any follow up from them will only exacerbate the situation.

Here is the right place to come for any car needs, do not waste your time somewhere else, premium service, professional and experienced technicians. I wasted a week trying to get my alignment done at NTB and CASSIDY , both companies said they cant do it unless i replace my tire rods and tie rod ends (around $1000 if not more in parts and labor) BMW did it in one hour, now my alignment is perfect. Worst service ever I had with my BMW.Car was 3 days in dealership with small electrical issue,and nothing was done.On 3rd day they decided to order part,and I was supposed to leave car there over weekend,which I didn’t want to do.Made appointment with other Bmw dealer who has part in stock and care about their costumers.I have a lot to say but don’t want to text a lot.They mess my plans for road trip.And they give us Mazda as loaner car.That was my 2nd and last time here.One more update.After they didn’t do anything for 3 days,today when car was picked airbag warning was flashing and still till now and that’s really dangerous here(before I brought car to dealer everything was just fine)Hope everything will be fine till I go to real bmw dealer.All my settings was clear,and now I should go all over again,this is crazy.I love BMW and that’s not my first BMW,but services like this make people think bmw is ....!One more update.Car is fixed,and there no parts needed!!!NO PARTS NEEDED!How you explain that now?They just did calibration and reprogramming.

Very nice. I think its a joke that they charged me $145 to hook up my car to find codes when it takes 3 minutes. Also, I was told that I would get a carwash but they didnt do anything.

First time buying a car. Everything up until then has been a nightmare - stereotypical car salesman tactics, dragged out appointments, high pressure sales, overpriced vehicles. I found my car for a fair price, and I had an absolute blast. All of my questions were answered honestly and adequately. Next car purchase will be here.. and the one after that.. and after that.

I called to schedule an appointment to get my car out of transportation mode and the service advisor told me it will be $145 for diagnosis. I told him no diagnosis needed because I know what is the issue. He said, no we need to diagnose the problem. Again, I told him no you dont because I know what is wrong with the car and you guys charged me $65 last time for the same work. Now you guys want to charge me more than double for the same thing? Suddenly it went from diagnosis charge to standard one hour charge. We all know its not an hour job. Its barely a 10 to 15 min job, maybe not even. Anyways I asked to speak to a manager and I was told hes in the meeting. I end up leaving him a voice mail. Believe it or not it has been over two week and I still yet to hear from him. I am assuming hes still in A meeting. And please do NOT reply to my review saying to call you guys so you can make it right. I was given same BS when one of your technician put 200 miles on my car when it was dropped off to have a clutch looked at. Make an effort to call customer. I have owned my car for about 6 years now and its always been service with you guys. You will no longer get my business!

Anderson BMW quoted the best deal on 4 comlete snow tires and wheel sets, ready to mount. They mounted them and stored my summer set of tires. I have one year storage at no charge!They washed and vacuumed the inside of the car! They offered courtesy car washes as needed in the future! This was done right away! This was quite a wonderfull event! Verty nice people there!

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle (non-BMW) from BMW of Crystal Lake and worked with Tyler and Derek. I drove the vehicle a few hundred miles a couple of days after the purchase and noticed a loud noise which was a bad front right wheel bearing. The repair was performed at a different dealer, and Derek agreed to work with me, and offer assistance on the repair. Good experience.

I have been having problems with my 328I Bmw was told by local mechanic it is the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve I called BMW they told me to call Local dealer for possible rental and took access. I called Anderson they told me to call BMW even after I told them I already called BMW and BMW told me to ask for the service Manager. I asked to speak to service manager, they put me on hold for 15 minutes and a Tom answered he was not the service manager I told him everything BMW suggested and he told me he would have the service manager call! No call all day this was Wednesday 3821 called back on Thursday again was told not available he will call you back! STILL no call BMW suggested I call Lou Bachrodt BMW not impressed to say the least....

Never go to this place for service, ever!!! They will rip you off!! I went for a recall for passenger side air bag and lower control arm and the day after I picked it up the check engine light came on, so went to my mechanic and they found a hose disconnected from air intake duct and found brake caliper banjo bolt leaking. I had no previous problems before I dropped it off. I have a very good mechanic in a different shop that I trust totally, they showed me the air intake hose and it is huge and would have not just popped off without someone disconnecting it. I also have my maintenance done regularly and the oil was fresh on the side that was leaking, and dry on the other side. I will never trust them ever again or recommend anyone to go to Anderson BMW/ Mazda of Crystal Lake. Do not go there.
