Chiraq is a very trustworthy person. I never feel ripped off when I go to this shop. He presents the problem and gives you option as to the best way to get the car safely running again. He does a very good job as well. This is a place where you can get quality service at a fair price.

Straightforward Service... as we all know its hard to eval the services done because we cant witness the work as its being done(the car industry should fix this), it is a matter of trust and I trust the guy who owns this Meineke branch... well be using their services on all our cars...

I would recommend Meineke for any of your car needs. I was told by the dealership that I needed to have a wheel bearing replaced. I took my car to Meineke for this service as well as a brake job. They called me to tell me that my wheel bearings were ok and didn’t need replacement. I really appreciate their honesty and integrity. They could have done the replacement and charged me for the work even though it didn’t need to be done. I wouldn’t have known the difference. They completed the brakes and replaced a belt that was bad. I would feel very confident using their services again.

Repeatedly receive good service here, and when something comes up beyond what the scheduled appointment is for its always explained to me in easy to understand terms. Happily and confidently return here anytime my vehicle needs servicing.

Best in the business, very knowledgeable and professional team. Our car had check engine light turned ON and it was making lots of noise, probably it needed muffler repair too. We had an auto repair shop near my home check our car and diagnosed that we needed to replace the Catalytic converter, they asked us to take it to Muffler shop.We brought our car to this Meineke shop in Crystal Lake. After they check our car, the shop owner Chirag came to us and said your vehicle may not require to replace the Catalytic converter but it does need to replace the flex pipe, and that is why your car making noise too. Once we replace the flex pipe we will see. They were very prompt and straight forward to work with, saved us few hundred dollars from replacing the Catalytic converter. Their service was fast, finish the work on time. We highly recommend this Meineke shop and would definitely bring my car for future maintenance.

They were very helpful and reassuring with all of my questions, they didnt try to charge me for unnecessary work, they recommended what I need to replace in my car in the future, and they worked very fast.Highly recommend this location.

I brought my car in last year for the air conditioning and they replaced the condenser. About a month after the repair was done, the car started blowing warm air. Since it was at the end of the summer, I decided to wait until this year to have it looked at again. Stefan called and said that it was a leak in a seal. Then 2 hours after that, chirag called and said that I had a hole in my condenser. This is the same condenser that he had replaced the year before. I seriously had my doubts, but he said that it was under warranty and all I would have to pay for was the labor. Reluctantly I said ok and it still cost me $399. Last year, I spent almost $800 on the condenser. About 2 weeks after they replaced the condenser for the 2nd time, my air would start blowing warm air and then cold air sporadically. I brought it back and Chirag said he couldnt find anything wrong with it and to bring it back in 2 weeks if it keeps happening. Well, it kept happening so I brought it in again and Chirag said that I needed an actuator and it would run about $680, give or take because it was a 5 hour job and they needed to take off the entire dashboard. I thought this was very odd, so I took it for a second opinion to another mechanic in town. This new mechanic looked it over free of charge and confirmed that it was NOT the actuator and thought that it might be something to do with the freon, which Chirag had also recharged. Sure enough, my freon was low and it had air in the line. That was what was causing the cold air and then the hot air. So I ended up paying an additional $149 to a new mechanic to fix something that Chirag head messed. Had I not brought it somewhere else, I would have been out $680 for work that didnt even need to be done.My husband brought his car to Chirag for a brake job and now he has sputtering that he never had before. We are done with Meineke.

Shirag is awesome to work with. My husband had been using him for years. I needed an oil change and had developed a rattling noise. I took it in and he checked it out. My brakes were pretty bad. Needed the pads and rotors in the front and the back. I hadn’t really noticed the braking, just the rattle. I’m very glad I took it in. Picked up yesterday and it drives great and no rattle! 3:30pm yesterday I needed my brakes repaired desperately. There was only one person left at this location, and when I called, he, Chirag, said i could come in despite how late it was. Chirag was truly a lifesaver because not only did he fix my brakes and roatars which where in very poor condition, he also fixed my bumper, that wouldnt stay in place, perfectly. Not to mention all for under what I was expecting to pay. I was very impressed with the excellent service, and would highly recommend this location to anyone. They definitely get a huge thank you from me!

I went to this shop for the promoted oil change of 19.99 but when I got there the very unfriendly man at the counter told me it would be 29.99. When I asked why he said that I needed a special oil filter. What??? I drive a Hyundai!I was a bit put off and since this was the only time slot I had to do this, I told him to go ahead.He told me it would be 40 minutes and when it was done he sent his young son out to have me pay. Nothing else. No suggestions of any other work needed just that will be 29.99. I asked him if my oil was dirty but he didnt know.I wont be back due to extremely poor communication and customer service.

Little weird that the door is around the building and you park your car first, never done that before at a service place. Other than that, they were very quick and very nice at the front desk. Went in to repair a noise my car was making, paid $450 for a repair that did not fix the noise. I was told this problem was more urgent, but took it elsewhere to be told of an entirely different problem causing the sound. After years of choosing meineke, ill be taking my business elsewhere. Had them also fix an abs sensor and the same sensor went out exactly one week later, also told by another mechanic.

The staff at Meineke were great! They were able to get my car in to be looked at and fixed all within one day. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely bring my business there again!

On Friday August 5, 2016 I took my vehicle in for an obnoxious noise coming from the front of the vehicle while breaking at slow speeds or accelerating from a stop. Knowing it wasn’t a brake/rotor issue having them all replaced the week prior; I assumed it was a bad strut. On August 5th I had a scheduled appointment and dealt with Stefan, the service center manager. After inspecting the vehicle, my assumptions were correct. $1,751.80 worth of maintenance (the strut was indeed one of several issues). Stefan provided me with a rental for the day. On the 6th, mid-afternoon, I received no call to inform me of the status of my vehicle. I called an hour before closing to get an update and no one answered the phone. I was not extremely surprised it was not done due to the amount of work needed, but was shocked I didn’t get a callback. On Sunday, the 7th, the rental refused to turnover. I called the service center to find out they were closed on Sunday, so I left a message informing them of the situation. I received no call back from the manager or owner of the facility. After jumping the vehicle I was on my way home and the vehicle died again while sitting at a light. I inspected the vehicle myself, no lights were left on, no doors ajarred, full tank of gas, etc. I got the vehicle home and let it run (to charge the battery for safe measure) and let the vehicle sit the remainder of the day.On Monday the 8th, I came to the conclusion I was not comfortable driving the vehicle to work on the highway and decided to work from home. Stefan called me mid-morning and apologized for the vehicle and said, “We take good care of our vehicles” and was shocked I had any problems and my vehicle would be done by end of business. Judging from the interior of the rental vehicle, I can confirm the vehicles are not well cared for. Sure enough, toward the end of the day I received a call and went to pick up my car. Before I can do so I had to find my trickle charge/engine starter since the car was dead. I picked up my Honda, dropped the $1700+ on the repairs, joked with Stefan about the “POS rental” he gave me and was on my happy way until having to return a day later for a loud “swishing sound” coming from the front of the vehicle. It almost sounded like a “jet-engine” revving up or something was caught in the wheel liner. Upon my inspection, I can confirm nothing was caught in the liner. Stefan was great and squeezed me in at the end of the day and inspected everything and said that everything looked good and said that I must have had something caught. I drove home and the sound seemed to be gone only to return the next morning on my way to work. I then had my guys in our on-site garage take a look. And I quote, “Who did the hack work on this thing? Come on over and take a look at this.” I was shocked to see that the dust brake cover was bent and rubbing on the rotor (sent photos to corporate as well) AND a bolt holding the NEW control arm in place was not even tightened down (photos also sent). My maintenance guys simply said, “that bolt is just sitting there not tightened down! That comes out while driving you’re in real trouble!” They also confirmed I might need a new wheel bearing as that it is most likely the culprit for my continued noise. They also pointed to part in the middle of the car and said, “lets hope that’s not shot because that is expensive.” No response from the shop or corporate (emailed on 8/15/16). I called MIDAS down the road, and they confirmed the wheel bearing was shot. They also identified that the majority of the noise was the carrier bearing assemble (they even replicated the noise right there for me… this was what my guys pointed out). Another $1254.99 of maintenance needed. I will not be taking any of my vehicles here for service in the future. The safety of my child, my wife, and I were put at risk because of the work done by the mechanics at this facility.Corporate and the shop have yet to acknowledge any of this regardless of my attempts, photos, receipts, etc.

So happy I went for a second opinion to this shop. They were very courteous and told me what needed to be done to my 11 year old Honda Pilot. They suggested that an expensive replacement of the right front axle with front wheel alignment could just be repaired. Gave me a loaner car and fixed 3 problems found same day. Five Star service. For example, based on availability, they offer a loaner car to minimize disruption to your busy schedule. The owners and staff are knowledgeable, experienced, and willing to give you options at the best possible price to get your vehicle working. It is difficult to find a reliable mechanic, and I would recommend them to many potential customers.

He got us in right away and even gave us a coupon to use for an oil change which I really appreciated.All I got was an oil change and it’s been a nightmare ever since. I went in a week ago and my car has been leaking oil everywhere ever since. I have oil stains all over my driveway, pretty much all over anywhere I have parked in the last week. I don’t know much about cars, but I feel like an oil change is pretty basic and shouldn’t be something that gets messed up. So after a week of hoping it would stop, I’m now sitting at my dealership waiting for the total, so far it’s not pretty. So here’s to an oil change that is now costing me hundreds of dollars 🙄

They ripped me off. Charged me $165 to fix my back passenger window. When i brought my own window in. Broke the door so it doesnt go up or down. Panels not on right & didnt tell me it was like this till i paid. Then just said sorry And wont fix it properly. I suggest anyone that needs car work. Do not go to the crystal lake location. I cant believe these people work the way they do and rip off customers any way they can. Be careful?Dont bring your car here!

Dave was great! My muffler had fallen off and I had taken it to my regular mechanic. He advised it would be cheaper to go with an actual muffler place due to the welding. I called all the muffler/exhaust places in Crystal Lake with decent reviews for quotes. When I called Meineke I told him the lowest price I had been quoted and he matched it. The office is clean, they have free wifi and a nice large screen TV if you have to wait there. My car now runs and sounds great! Everyone there was professional, and really nice! I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend to others.

Horrible experience they rotated my tires and didnt reset the sensor so when I brought it back in and asked them to reset it due to their mistake they refused unless I paid an additional $40.00 and they are very rude unprofessional and Im sure they stole change out of my car which is petty. Do not go there.

Always take my car here. Every time I get a free oil change from the dealer, they quote me $500-$1000 for repairs. Meineke gives me a second opinion for 1/4 the price. Highly recommend this location

This place is under new management now. I sent my driver there ( commercial van ) to get the A/C repaired and they did a full diagnostic and recharged and added dye. For the first time ever I was not told that I needed $700 or more in work done on an A/C system when getting one fixed. Its like most places just see an easy mark when it comes to A/C failures. The young man is worried about how people are treated and understands that Honesty in business will keep a steady flow of customers coming in. I think you should give them a chance, and tell the manager that Rodney Long sent you.

My family and I were in Crystal Lake visiting my sister, six hours away from home, when the brakes on our truck went out suddenly. The staff at Meineke in Crystal Lake went above and beyond to fit us in when they were busy and had a line of cars. They not only were friendly and accommodating but were able to get us in and out in 1 1/2 hours because they knew we had two small children with us. The woman at the desk was especially helpful. Everyone is friendly and i go there every so often for oil changes when i dont have time to go to my normal Dealer. I was in for an oil change recently and I was dissapointed when I was told that i will be charged an extra $10 for my next oil change due to my truck being too big. I have a jeep wrangler with a 3.25 inch lift and I have no idea how can this cost an extra $10 when its the same amount of oul. Its actually easier since you dont have to put it on the lift to get under to drain. Never heard of an extra charge for that reason. Not taking my car there again.

Meineke has serviced my car over the last year and a half. From an oil change to a major mechanical repair they have done great work at a fair price. Their customer srvice is very good, keeping you informed, calling with estimate before work is performed and being done on time.

Brought my car in for a basic oil change yesterday. They had a $19.99 coupon on their website that they wouldnt honor. Found it ridiculous that they have coupons on their website that they dont honor but I needed a oil change done so I accepted to pay the quoted price of $32.05. Gave them the keys they changed the oil. Once it came time for payment was told that it was going to be extra now because Hyundai now requires a special oil change filter in order to make sure oil doesnt drip out so now the price was going to be $36 & some change. Told the employee I was not happy with now having to pay more than I was quoted for & said I have never had any issues with my vehicle dripping oil in the past. Then the following day I get in my car and pull out of the garage only to find oil spots on my garage floor! Ive never been charged this price by the dealership when Ive gotten my oil changed in the past & normally the dealership also rotates tires as well with this service.This is inexcusable for a company to make this many mistakes. Will be giving the company a call tomorrow to voice all these problems with their services. Word of advice to others, if you care about your vehicle, bring it elsewhere where they dont nickel and dime you for subpar service! Wont ever reccomend this location to others.

Great place, have came here for oil changes here and there the last few years.Recently had a situation where i was doing my own exhaust work but got stuck in the process because an exhaust sleeve was rusted out. Took it over to meineke, talked to Stefan who I think was the manager, really friendly, nice guy and knew exactly what had to be done. Was busy but he got me right in and took me back in the shop to verify what I wanted done. Had the piece I was banging on all afternoon out in a few minutes and had me on my way. Great to have a guy running the shop whos knowledgeable and also has great customer service skills, kudos to him...great place.

If you want honest advice and reasonable prices, I recommend this shop. Chirag has been my mechanic for over 10 years. Chirag has always been fair with the prices. More importantly, he’s been honest about what services are needed at the moment versus something that can wait. I have a 2002 car which requires more frequent services visit. Chirag has deferred service on numerous occasions because I can get additional mileage out the parts in question without compromising safety and driving ability. Hell recommend a future date when we should recheck. Taking into consideration Im not in the position to buy a another car, this type of service is priceless. I hope your experience is as pleasant as mine!

It was easy to make an online appointment on their website for 11:15am. I arrived a little ahead of my chosen time and hooked into their internet and updated my phones apps. Chirag, greeted me and gave me some minor paperwork to complete as he pulled my car in for a pre-service inspection. He returned to the waiting room and invited me to see what he had discovered under my car. He carefully pointed and explained what was wrong and what he could do to fix it. Then he quoted me an approximate cost for the repairs and the time it would require. As I began dreading a 3 hour wait, really happy they have WiFi. He offered me a loaner car, for the price to, in this case, keep it full. I was able to finish my errands using the loaner, and was out the door at 11:25am. Yay! Chirag called me a little less than 3 hours later, I was still shopping. I refilled the loaner $9 and returned to Mieneke on Pyott. My car was repaired and it came in just under the estimated price. We swapped keys and of course payment was made (they dont accept personal checks) and I was out the door a very satisfied customer.

Dont trust a lot of the reviews here. I set up an appointment through their online system. I only choose to go to Meineke cause they had a 50% oil change packages for mothers day. Long story short, my coupon was NOT accepted even after their website said this location accepted these coupons. I was not the only person who had this problem, a lady in the lobby had a coupon for $15 oil change and was charged $26. I wouldnt have such a problem with this but after filing a report with corporate, they stated what you can see in my attached picture.I choose the $35 oil change package that included topping off fluids and tire rotation. I was charged $32 and ONLY RECIEVED the oil change (as previously stated, another customer had an oil change for $26 with a $15 coupon). You cant tell me my fluids were topped off when my windsheild wiper fluid is 10 inches below the cap. The itemized receipt also does not relfect a tire rotation but does state i was charge $5 for a fluid topoff. Dont worry about replying. I contacted the corporate office and they state as you can see in the picture attached. The owner can do whatever they want.Ive tried to post the picture a few times with corporates response but it will not post with picture.
