Amazing complex! Office ladies Katie and Crystal are fantastic/helpful! Maintenance guys are beyond helpful 10+ stars to them! Gorgeous landscaping! Didn’t live in RI before so did not know the area well, would HIGHLY recommend! Was extremely hesitant being so close to a Walmart but it’s more than convenient, find myself there all too often! Gym is small but perfect for what you need! Used it daily during covid! Pool/new grills get a lot of use from us that’s for sure!

Living at Independence Place is a rewarding experience and I have no plan or desire to ever move away. The Property Management team and Maintenance team are consummate professionals, working hard 7 days a week to make living here the best in Rhode Island and Southern New England. They have always been responsive to our requests and concerns, working hard to resolve any issue to completion and satisfaction. I love my apartment, the floor plan makes it easy to get around, gives you a cozy feeling, the rooms are exceptionally large but at the same time energy efficient. I have no problem with keeping it cool and comfortable. The neighbors are diverse and great to have in the building, always friendly and courteous. I enjoy coming home every night.

Independence Place is a very well- managed, clean, stylish, and extremely well-maintained apartment home community with an amazing property and maintenance team. The teams are kind, understanding, and have your best interest in mind. They make it a priority for you to feel like you are comfortably at home everyday. Every encounter I have had with both the maintenance team and property team has been pleasant and enjoyable. Shout out to Crystal and Katie on providing an awesome living experience and shout out to Jay and Mike on providing top-level maintenance service. I very much appreciate them. Having lived here for almost 9 years, Independence Place is the best home we ever hoped for. We have a thriving inclusive community, courteous neighbors, gorgeous landscaping and some seriously cute puppies around 😀 I love my south facing spacious apartment which gets abundant light year round. The big windows, decently high ceilings, in unit washer dryer, big kitchen with plenty of storage, and spacious bathrooms, valet trash service are all a win! The hallways are vacuumed often and well maintained, and more importantly deodorized!But what truly sets this complex apart is the awesome staff! They go above and beyond, always helpful, efficient, kind and a pleasure to talk to. You can always rely on them to resolve any issue! They truly care for the residents and it shows in every interaction. Lease renewals were smooth and maintenance requests were timely addressed on same day. I appreciated the prompt communication of events/service interruption/thoughtful reminders for packages/property upgrades, etc by memos, email and sometimes even on Facebook. And did I mention the awesome resident parties they host, diverse menu to cater to the diverse residents, movie night for kids, beautiful decor and great raffle tickets to be won! The attention to detail was amazing! It’s the little things which make the difference, and Dolben, you got it just right with your staff! Crystal, Katie, Jay, Mike, Kevin (retired) thank you for all you do, we truly appreciate it!

I have lived in independence place for 13 months now, during that time I have experienced both property management and maintenance, as well as other tenants. If I could just rate maintenance, they are 10/10; always fast and efficient and do everything you ask the first time. Management is a completely different story. For example, we have a car wash station which is about two parking spots wide with clear no parking signs. So what happens when someone parks there and you want to vacuum or wash your car? Management will do absolutely nothing. No matter how many times you email them, they actually DON’T KNOW which towing company they use! Unbelievable!!! So you pay and then HOPE you get to use the amenities they advertise!!! This happened to me when I had to decide if we were going to renew our lease so I told them we wouldn’t if we couldn’t use the amenities we pay for. So someone put a sticker on the car to be moved. That happened after about five complaints from me and only because we wouldn’t have renewed our lease. Also, there is a dog park which is great, however, my dog will not play fetch in there, so I let her off leash next to the dog park, not at night, at 10am when I’m not waking anyone up, and that’s not allowed!! However, when my neighbors above me wake me up at 4am for weeks on end, no response from property management. These are the only problems I have had living here, the actual apartment is beautiful, theres always parking, all in all we do enjoy living here. Just know you will be ignored by management.

Weve been here for a few months and Im so happy we decided on this complex vs. a few other options in the area. Every staff member is fantastic & they are constantly doing upkeep with the complex. The trash removal service is 5 stars alone!! Ive read the other reviews about this complex being more expensive than others - but the space for my husband and I is perfectly sized while we continue searching for our forever home in RI.

We have been living here over 5 years and have seen many changes. Crystal, Katie, Jay and Mike are outstanding. Every concern or issue is looked into and taken care of almost immediately or within a short time. Improvements have been continuous and always done to make our homes better. I am always telling people of this place, and family and friends love to visit.One thing to hope for one day is to have a property attendant to oversee the inside of the buildings....weekly hall rug vacuuming, window, door, elevator cleaning. Separate from matainance staff, they have other resident major property tasks to take care of. With many pets allowed and children, regular easy cleaning needs to be weekly.But seriously, I cant sign the next years lease fast enough and plan on being a resident here for quite a while.THANK YOU!!

Great staff and very nice apartments. Maintenance staff are wonderful! Very pet friendly and I have neighbors with dogs and I hardly ever hear them. Friendly neighbors.

We have been living here at Independence Place for over 5 years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say, Crystal, and Katie are fantastic, professional, personal , empathic an absolute joy. The maintenance staff is 2nd to none, Jay and Mike are always so courteous, friendly, and complete the requests usually the same day. I moved into a newly renovated “Providence style “ apartment in April 2021 and it was the best move I ever made . My apartment is spacious , stylish , has loads of storage space and even though there are many other residence it is quiet , private , inside sound is very well insulated thru the walls . There are many doggie residents and they are very respectful of others . I have never seen any pet excrement anywhere . The grounds are beautifully maintained by professional landscapers . The Independence staff are absolutely attentive to residents needs . Best staff I’ve ever met . Maintenance crew are attentive and timely & professional fixing repairs . This is a kind & loving community respectful of a great diversity in family cultures, varied age groups . The amenities pool , community room , fitness centers are immaculately maintained . It is centrally located to every convience we could imagine needing from shopping , farms , zoo, beaches & coastline , cultural arts & entertainment & best dining in RI .

After looking at many apartment possibilities, we chose Independence Place. We have been living here for nearly 2 years and are happy we picked Independence Place.Crystal, the property manager, and Katie, the assistant property manager, couldnt be nicer to work with. Their patience answering questions and assistance with the application process helped make our move here an easy process and they continue to be responsive to requests and concerns.The complex is kept in very good condition thanks to the efforts of the maintenance staff who are always very friendly and helpful. Requests for maintenance are addressed in a timely manner, the same day if it is something urgent. Independence Place also contracts with others professional contractors as needed for plumbing, heating, air conditioning, etc. Requests for maintenance can be made by telephone or via the smartphone Resident Portal app.The grounds are nicely landscaped, trimmed and cleaned by a professional landscape contractor. There a plenty of trees, shrubs and bushes. Flowers are planted seasonally. There are nice grassy areas where children can safely play. For dog owners, there is a fenced dog park where their dogs can run free.In addition to the nicely maintained grounds the complex has other amenities such as the pool, clubhouse, gym, newly updated gas-powered grills and a gas-powered fire pit. There is also an Amazon Hub for convenient receipt of packages from Amazon and other sources. There is also a car-washing / vacuum area and recently installed electric car-charging stations.With nearly 200 apartments, the population here is very diverse. There are people of all ages, from little children, teens, young and older adults and seniors like us. You can meet and talk to many friendly people as you stroll through the complex.During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, there was no interruption in services and all Health Department guidelines and mandates were implemented.We highly recommend Independence Place if you are looking for a nice, safe place to live and it fits your life-style needs.Frank and Sandra

Love, love, love! The apartment complex is really well maintained, clean, and safe. I dont have any issues with noise coming from the neighbors or ongoing maintenance issues. Location is amazing, you can be easily in downtown Providence in 10 minutes. Best part is their staff! Katie and Crystal both deserve some recognition for their consistent effort to help and to make your stay enjoyable. Of course you cannot please everyone, but they have certainly did everything to accommodate me. Thank you!

We moved here from Hawaii and had TWO days to find a place to live. Katie made the transition and application process so easy. After almost an entire year here, I can definitely say that I love this place more than when we first started the lease. Unfortunately, we are moving to make the work commute to Newport shorter.The sense of community is real here. From trick or treating to holiday parties, the residents all make it enjoyable for everyone.All of our neighbors are amazing people. The pool is nice. Theres a dog park, a gym, car vacuums, and even garages available for additional rent. The Amazon hub gives me a piece of mind over my packages. This is the best maintenance crew I have ever encountered. Katie and Crystal have made this entire community extremely pleasant and peaceful to live in.I wish we could stay here longer and will truly miss Independence Place💙

Nice clean place to live

My adult daughter & I love living here! We moved here from the South Coast of MA at the beginning of the year to improve her commute into Providence. Access to I-295 & 95 couldn’t be easier! They were very efficient with the snow removal after the blizzards and we never lost power. Management is top notch, especially Crystal who’s been very responsive to any little questions or concerns we might have had as newcomers.As to other reviewers’ comments about diversity, the fact that so many of the families are Indian and Asian is part of what we like about this place. It’s good for us to be in the minority for a change, and our neighbors couldn’t be nicer. From my viewpoint, I’ve heard that most of the workers are in the tech. Sector, and I’d guess my building is comprised of about a third Indian, a third other Asian, and a third white singles.Oh, and lots of DOGS which really sold us on the place, as we are dog lovers! There’s a little wooded area behind the property that is great for walking my dog, whose part Brittany Spaniel. We were both excited the other day to spot wild turkey hens in the woods.So, if you like diversity of the two- and four-legged variety (and can afford the luxury rent), you’ll love it here, too!

Stayed here for almost a year. One of the best apartment in cranston. Only apartment where we could find in house washer and dryer.Management is very nice. Katie and Crystal are really wonderful. They help you in all possible ways to make your move and stay comfortable.I had to relocate because of work and due to COVID situation everywhere I had to postpone my moveout plan.They understood and were very accommodative.I had to move out later a month early before the lease termination, they even waived my lease breakage as well.Apartment has nice pool table, swimming pool, gym , green lawns and recently they have electric car charging stations as well.Service guys are also very prompt in attending the issues.Overall had a pleasant stay in Independence way apartment Cranston. Consider this place for safety and amenities they have. Rent is little on higher side but believe me its worth staying here.

The Staff is excellent, but for the price the apartments are subpar, The living spaces are extremely tiny. The sq footage is very misleading I find it cramped and i live in the 2 bedroom Newport alone. WAY OVERPRICED, the price you see on site which is way over market rent doesnt include, trash removal fee, pet fees(if you have any) water and sewer fees. Heat and electric. And the heat is run by same system that runs the AC, so if you want to stay warm in winter your paying a super high electric bill too.(Its like your running the AC at full blast 365 days a yr) The review about indians was unessassary. They are VERY nice! Maintenance is SUPER too. Overall i like the people, the only downside is the SUPER high overpriced rents and size of dinning room ( a small table and chairs takes up the whole space), the living room is tiny, and the bedrooms you cant fit a full dresser set and a Full size bed. The configurations are all wrong.

Great place to live and Great Staff !We lived here from Jan 2016-Oct2018. We reluctantly moved out due to my personal situation. Crystal and Katie from leasing office are very friendly and nicest people. Whenever I visit Cranston Walmart and see this place I feel like I miss my home as we have many memories here and my Son was born here last year ... I love this place and recommend this to my friends all the time....

Great place with perfect location and helpful staff, just next to Walmart and I-295. It’s excellent in warm keeping for winter time.The only weakness is that the rent payment system sometimes got errors.

My husband and I have lived here at Independence Place, for nearly 7 years. We truly love the lifestyle and the way of living here, as opposed to living in a home. We enjoy coming and going as we please, no more maintaining a yard, increase of taxes, and not having to worry about appliances breaking and having to replace them. When they break or need repairing here, it is done! No need for worrying. The staff is fantastic and trust worthy. I would actually leave my door open, that is how much we trust them here at our complex!

We lived 2 years in building 30 and it was great. The staff especially Michelle was great. The convenience to walmart and 295 was a plus and all the amenities were great especially the pool. Would this place to anyone.

Things are good here. The only thing which I did not like its they are increasing the rent very high almost by 75 dollars.Amenities are average as compare to similar apartment complex in Cranston and Warwick. But the current rent is almost 300 $ high to exactly similar or in fact better apartment complex, leave about the rent increment I am taking about above.However I would like to add here is one of manager her is OK but he is rude in talking and 80% of time unsupportive for a simple help. Good that that manager is about to change now.

Apartments internally and externally are well maintained and good looking and so is the community here! The only thing to sacrifice here in this apt is the more than average rent ($200 more than avg rent in RI for 2BHK) and there isnt even a playground for children to play in. The amenities here are a swimming pool, gym (24/7) and a clubhouse where you can play on the pool table or as most people do Netflix and chill on the 50 TV with a 5.1 surround sound home theatre IF IT DICIDES TO WORK at the moment! There are around 196 apts and families here in Independence Place. Big benefit here is that there is a Walmart just a walk away and also a planet fitness!
