Rusk Heating & Cooling has been a blessing for me. They installed a new furnace and A/C for us, and the last visit was to clean out the vents and they also installed a new thermostat that I can control remotely. My mom cant seen well enough to adjust the thermostat, so this definitely helped both of us. Chris was our tech and my mom loved him and he was really awesome!

Rusk installed a second AC unit to service the second floor of our home. There was no unit there previously so the job required a good deal of thought and planning. The unit selection and work was done quickly and efficiently. The installation team was knowledgeable, and courteous.. Three months after install they scheduled a free Service call to evaluate the unit’s performance. They are not the lowest cost provider but they deliver outstanding value.. Their techs are long term associates; well trained .

I called Rusk and the tech Tom arrived that day. Later in the afternoon John arrived to determine what new system I would need as my unit was 28 years old and not worth repairing as the coolant was obsolete. John sold me a Carrier unit. Rusk prioritized my order & Tom came the very next day to install the new unit. Now that is what I call service! Judy was great on the phone and explained that a yearly maintenance package for my furnace & air conditioner would insure optimal performance of these units. I am so grateful for their prompt attention as it is currently very hot in Cincinnati. All three people I dealt with were courteous & caring. I cannot recommend this family run company more! We had Rusk Heating and Cooling install a new furnace and a/c unit in our home maybe 8 years ago. The did a top notch job and weve had a maintenance agreement and regular service on it from them ever since. We had two incidences where there were problems. One was with the a/c compressor the first year; they came out and took care of it under warranty and it has worked well ever since.The second was caused by a capacitor in the blower motor which was a problem maybe two years ago. The technician came out, diagnosed the problem and replaced the capacitor and the system ran fine for us since then. There was a charge for the part but the cost was reduced because of our coverage with the maintenance agreement.We have since, sold our home and purchased another. There is a 10 year warranty on our new furnace but it is through a different company. I hope that they are as good as Rusk H&C.Will we call Rush H&C again if we are in a situation where we need them? ABSOLUTELY!

Replaced our central air unit. Previous unit lasted more than twenty years, and was also installed by Doc Rusk. The sales person was very professional, and had a quote for us before he left the house. The day of installation went smoothly. Installers were on time, and very polite (even asked if they could play their radio while in the basement). Took the day to install, and made sure the unit was working properly prior to leaving. We have used Doc Rusk for many years.

My A/C went out and I called for service on Tuesday and had a service call Wednesday and new A/C and furnace by Friday. The guys were all friendly and professional and very responsive, unlike the first company that I called that told me that I would have to wait for days for anyone to be able to come out. My units were quite old and I knew that one day they would need to be replaced and the new equipment is much quieter and definitely more efficient. Rusk did a great job and I would recommend them.

Rusk did a phenomenal job installing the furnace and AC for my new garage/office. The work was done exactly as expected and their prices were great. The system is so well-designed it heated the entire garage and office space from 55 to 72 degrees in 27 minutes.Above and beyond: While they were installing the furnace and AC for my garage/office, we began to have warmer temps outside and it was time to turn on the AC in the main house. My AC unit was almost 20 years old and finally decided to kick the bucket. Rusk had a tech there the next day to confirm the unit had finally died and would need to be replaced. Given that the furnace in the main house was also 20 years old, Rusk recommended that we replace the entire system. We upgraded to a 96% efficiency furnace and Rusk added new, wider duct work in the basement that significantly increased the airflow throughout the rest of the house. Outside temps decided to turn colder that week to back to below freezing, so Rusk had two techs work 10+ hour days getting the furnace installed so my wife and 5 month-old son would have heat in the home. We would have gone to a hotel, but Rusk - without being asked - delivered 110% to make sure we didnt have to.

Been using Rusk for 23 years. Once or twice our system went down and they were all over it. I can count on them to be responsive if I need them.We have them out twice a year as part of our annual maintenance contract. This has been key to having the system operate efficiently and its longevity.

Everyone who was here were very respectful, very clean work area, masks and booties were worn. They worked within our schedule and were on time. They clearly explained everything. Any phone conversations went just as smoothly as the team at the house. This is our second house we have had Rusk install equipment and would choose them again and again. When we bought our house we were having a lot of issues with our furnace constantly running and costing us a lot of $$$$. Rusk came out and evaluated the situation, finding that our duct work was undersized and not supplying enough return air causing the system to short cycle. They drew up a plan for redoing the duct work only in the basement (all exposed) so as not to have to open any walls and cause the least amount of disturbance to use. They showed up at 8am and by early afternoon we had a furnace that was happy and running efficiently. They were professional, courteous and great at explaining everything. They even found another issue while doing the duct work and fixed that at no extra charge. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks @Rusk Heating & Cooling!

Great service and extremely professional and courteous. Had them clean out ducts. Both technicians were very informative and focused on the task with minimal disruption as my wife and I worked from home. Would definitely recommend. Slightly on the pricier side but nowadays usually good service requires paying more.

The serviceman was professional and friendly. The work was done in a timely manner however they took advantage of a bad situation to jack up the price. The ignitor went out on my daughters furnace when the temps were in the single digits. They did not have the part on the truck and told her it would be an extra $100 to get one that day versus waiting til Monday. This was a Saturday. Knowing full well she couldnt be without heat for that long. We had no choice but to pay up. Other reviews mention that they are a bit pricey but this was a bit much.

My unit was less than six years old and even with a purchased warranty I have a repair bill of $2137 to replace an indoor coil and metering device. Rusk’s moto statement is “There is no risk with Rusk” which I find funny and sad. However their repairmen did a great job. This comment is for the people who make repair/warranty decisions.

I couldnt have asked for any better service then I got from Rusk. Our blower motor had burned out and no one would come out for 2-3 days to even look at it. Rusk was out the same day, verified the issue, and had their parts person deliver the needed part to the technician at my house during the same visit! We were back up and running within 2 hours total on a very, very hot day. Thank you so much Rusk!!!!

The technicians from Rusk, including Andre who performed the service on this occasion, are highly skilled, knowledgeable, and customer-oriented. I participate in the Premier Service which offers additional benefits and ensures that I receive very thorough regular maintenance on my HVAC system and also on a ductless mini-split porch system that Rusk installed for me a couple of years ago. Time was taken to carefully answer my questions, and also to assess my system for its longevity. I was advised regarding a part needing replacement, and asked if I wished to have that replaced during this service call, which I chose to do. I received careful advising regarding when I might need a new system which was something I had inquired about when scheduling. There were not any specific repair issues at this time, other than the small part needing replacement, but I have had some specific larger issues in the past that were repaired proficiently with no further problems. I feel that the assessments are careful and honest, and trust Rusk to maintain my HVAC safely, and properly. Rusk also has been attentive to safe practices of mask-wearing and sanitizing during COVID, which speaks well of the business overall. I have found them to be a very personable company. Apart from the service calls, occasionally, I have had a question simply answered over the phone when a service call was not necessary.

I have a newer unit that has only needed yearly cleaning/maintenance. I tried a few other companies that made this yearly task a chore. I switched over to Rusk in 2016, (have had different Rusk service men out every year and ) Year after year they have been polite, respectful (always wear shoe footies, never ask to use my bathroom) , professional (tell me what they are going to do. give me a verbal report on the condition they found my unit in and how it is now. Explain everything they did. ) The office staff is always pleasant, easy to work with (send/call a reminder the day before service, call when the service person is on his way, email a copy of the invoice for my records). All around pleasant experience.

I gave this place a 5 out of 5 for top notch service! I had been without heat and air for a really long time I had Graue heating and air, home depot, and lowes come out and give me estimates for a new heat pump, one of which stole parts out of my old heat pump. The estimates they gave me were $8,000 to $9000. Steve gave us a quote for $6,100!!! We had it installed a few days later! Chris and Chad were very polite, very very knowledgeable, and great with my son watching everything they did Haha. I found this company to be very reputable and they knew what they were doing. Steve, they deserve a big raise!! (Chris told me to tell you that! Haha).

Just moved into a new house where one of the previous owners started work on a new ac unit, however never completed. Have no idea who started the work and when I called Rusk to see if they could assess the work and complete, their response was “we don’t have time to deal with your problem”. Unprofessional.

Couldnt be more pleased with the top notch service from RUSK today! From the friendly and very helpful receptionist all the way up til I came back from a quick trip to gas station. When I left 10 minutes before, there were about 4 to 6 windows open the attic fan was running haha was hot! Anyway, the service tech had left the fan was turned off and all of the windows were closed. Thank you again and ill be sure to refer Rusk.

Charged my mother over six hundred dollars for a valve that cost 35 bucks online. Modern day robbery (update) they came back to replace the balisk tank that I priced and it cost 300 bucks and they did it for under 400. Second visit was much more reasonable.

Had my AC go out in a rental property on the hottest week of the year. Had the unit replaced next morning at a very fair price and at almost half the cost of what other places quoted. Thanks Steve, for your honesty and great work from your guys.

I originally scheduled just a cleaning / tune up of my 11 year old furnace that Rusk installed in 2007. Shortly thereafter, my furnace started acting strangely, cycling on and off. So I emailed Rusk that evening after they were closed. Got a call early next morning, and there was a technician named Brock in my house within 2 hours. Brock did great work. I had a broken pvc connection to a condensate line that Rusk miraculously had in stock. Brock cleaned the unit and found some old wasp nests that were clogging the intake line, thus causing the cycling on and off. Brock then repaired the broken pvc, and I mean to tell you that was a job and a half. But he did it quickly, efficiently, and was an all around pleasure to talk to. Brock was very honest in his assessment of the work needed, and it turns out, is extremely overqualified for his position. Nevertheless, he was honest, forthright, and left me with a very favorable impression of Rusk. Now I know why my grandmother used them her entire life. Very impressed with the work at a reasonable cost. Highly recommended.

Our HVAC went out over the summer and Rusk had previously performed service repairs at our property with a previous owner. They were able to respond in a timely fashion, with a very personable technician to make the repairs. The tech had arrived prior to me arriving back home and had begun troubleshooting without anyone present at the home. The fuses were replaced for the HVAC ($89 for material) and a capacitor was replaced prior to my arrival which was then invoiced for $213!! I attempted to reach out to Rusk for follow up, but nobody returned my message.

Rusk came out to service our heat for the winter and do some repairs to our dryer vent connections. They were able to work around our holiday schedules, be at our house on time for the appointment, perform the work/service quickly, and do an outstanding job. Ill continue to call on Rusk every time!

I have had horrible experiences with various HVAC companies in the past. When my air conditioner died last week, I thought, Oh, here we go again. I looked around and asked people out for bids. One came out and gave me a figure. Another company sent someone who said, Oh, we dont have enough room to put anything we have in. Im sorry; we cant help you. Dismayed, I waited for the Rusk rep to show. He did and, after looking at everything, gave me a quote $1,500 lower than the first guy!The installers have spent the past two days putting in my units (I have 2) and, I must say, they have been very professional -- very clean, hard working, POLITE, and on time. I ran the one they had finished yesterday, and this was the first time that the room had been cooled to my satisfaction -- ever.One of the first reasons I went with them is their length of time in business -- over 100 years. Someone who has been around for that long must be doing something right. I am quite happy with Rusks service and product. I definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for HVAC work.

Rusk was out to diagnose my gas heater. They advised I needed a new gas valve and should just replace the furnace because the valve was a $600 part. Tech quoted $2500 for a new furnace. AFTER an $89 charge for this diagnosis I did my own diagnosis and found a bad electrical connection in the control board. I replaced that for $150 and have a fully functioning furnace again. BEWEARY OF UP SELLING BY TECHNICIANS FOR THEIR OWN COMMISION. RUSK HAS LOST MY BUSINESS FOREVER.
