They have no loyalty program even when you have been a customer for over 20 years. Prices are ridiculous too. They will add secret fees to your bill so watch out.Otherwise, the cable is good but some channels have errors on a daily basis.

Its the typical run around when you go into a cox store and they try to sign you up for anything(I was trying to just pay my bill). If you get the panoramic modem the gray wifi router make sure to go into your account settings on cox.com and click privacy and turn off hotpot so that you dont beam out a cox wifi spot and have people using your stuff! (Anyone with a cox account can log into that cox wifi name and do whatever they want) They say its not tied to your account but it messes with ours when we test it. Not sure if turning off the cox hotpot will disconnect your cox homelife security do at your own risk. We returned the panoramic router and got another 3.1 modem and moved on from it and havent had any down time!Ive had gigablast since launch and Ive also been a customer for over 10 years and they made me sign up as a new customer and wiped my history with them when I moved. A month later after I moved two of my friends got emails for cox loyalty program for reduced price of gig free and unlimited gigablast speeds. I took a screenshot of the email and took it in with me and they denied that it was a real thing.

I was attempting to have service started at a new address and first tried to call the 800 number. While I was waiting for someone to answer (I hung up after 55 minutes), I was calling the Council Bluffs store on another line, trying multiple times but only ever getting the voicemail.I decided to go in person, hoping for better luck getting a hold of someone, anyone, to help me. I got to the store and, as I was walking in, the store phone was ringing. There was an employee helping a customer, an employee that greeted me and was attempting to help me, and a third employee (turned out to be the manager) sitting on the couch by the front door, making no attempt to answer the phone. After explaining to the employee what I described above, she apologized for the wait time for the 800 number and apologized for me just receiving the voicemail box when trying to call the store. I then pointed out that their store phone was ringing while the other employee was just sitting on the couch, relaxing, and she explained that that was the manager and she doesnt answer phones. I will admit that I laughed, somewhat derisively, because I couldnt believe what I had just heard. I was incredulous. A manager that doesnt answer phones when her employees are busy. Not only does that project a poor example of teamwork, it also visually and verbally gives the perception that customer service isnt necessarily a top priority, if they are willing to let a phone go unanswered when they have the capability of answering it. What if the person calling on the phone was not physically able to leave their house to come in person to the store? They would either call multiple times to keep getting no answer, or leave a voicemail message and hope someone would call them back...but from how things were looking, it didnt look like the response times would be very satisfactory. At some point the manager came over because she must have noticed that I was not happy with the service that I was receiving. Giving her the short rundown of what I just explained above, her answer was slightly different from her subordinate: that she had just gotten off of a phone call in her office and had to man the entryway. Im trying not to be unnecessarily condescending here, but it made me believe that much more, on top of what they had already tried to say, that they are so inept that they are unable to answer a phone (a portable phone that can be carried in a pocket, clipped to a waistband, held in a hand) and open a door for incoming customers (of which there were none after my arrival). Simple multi-tasking that requires less than basic skills. The employee helping me then tried to ask for the address I wanted to start service at and I told her that Id just like to cancel my service altogether, based on the customer service I was receiving today. I told them you guys suck as far as customer service (not the most eloquent phrase to escape my mouth but I was beyond frustrated at this point). I was then asked for an address to forward my final bill to, which was for my fathers house in Glenwood (to ensure I received the bill to pay it), to which the manager attempted to politely and professionally one-up me by explaining that they dont service that area anyway. With that comment, she afforded herself another opportunity to showcase her ignorance: I explained to her in simple terms that she was assuming that was my next address just because I provided it for my final bill. My new address is still in Council Bluffs, well within their service range.I chose two stars instead of one because, despite my frustrations manifesting itself into condescension and derisiveness, they did remain polite throughout my encounter with them. However, I am still in awe that, to be able to receive any sort of service today, that I had to physically drive to the store to meet with someone in person instead of being able to get a hold of someone on the phone. Better luck next time.

I had great service. I was returning my receiver because I finally got rid of cable and the rising cost of it and I still had exceptional service. It was much better than the customer service that you get over the phone. I recommend going into the store whenever you need assistance. Forget calling. You wont be disappointed.

Did not satisfy our problem. They raised our bill $120 and we live on SS. Best deal they offered was $240 with contract. Dont wa nt contract. Offered internet at $99. Can get better thru Centirylink at $65. Been with your company for over 30 yrs and all you do is keep raising prices. Will go to streaming and will get programs we like.

The person helping my daughter was very nice. Its the company policies that make NO since. My daughter is going through some tough times. No income. Has to cancel cox completely because she cant afford it. They say to get out of the contract she will be charged. Her ex live in had security added to her account w/o her approval. He signed that contract. To get out of that SHE has to pay $1000. If she cant afford the monthly bill. How DoD you expect to get paid for the extra charges?? COX SUCKS!!!

If I could leave a no star I would. This company is probably the worst. I’ve had nothing but problems with them. Every month my bill would be raised. My account got hacked by one of the workers who added a sports package, higher Internet speed. & left me having to pay. Be care with the cox chat. I got hacked through it with one of the workers were watching it and got all my information and had the ability to add stuff to my account.

Not happy with the amount I pay for services I receive. Ive been with Cox over 5yrs for my internet service. Always raising my price for bs reasons. Decided to go in and was told Id need to rent a router and pay even more for better service instead of offering a better price on current. When I tried to call I was told that itd cost me $2 more a month to halve my current speeds. Cox are crooks and they know I cant get better service from any other company with where I live currently. Id never recommend them to anyone.

This review isnt toward this location specifically but Cox in general. We have had Cox for over 15 years. The basic cable had gotten so over priced that we cut them loose about 5 years ago and went with other providers. Now the home internet is apparently limited in use now. We just received our bill with an additional $30 charge for internet use when we have been using it the same amount as the last 15 years. Merry Christmas long time customer. My opinion, they are finding a way to collect in place of cable because they refuse to provide cable TV and now internet at a reasonable price. The only thing they have accomplished with this new charge is for us to leave completely. We have more hotspot and stream data use on our 2 cell phones costing $170 a month than with the internet and home phone costing $110 a month with Cox. Thank you cox, I am sure we will find plenty to do with the extra $110 a month we will no longer be paying you for internet and home phone. We will not mourn when you price yourself out of business. Happy Holidays!

Avoid Saturdays. While they have enough staff, customers like to hang out there like its Wal-Mart. Socializing, bringing their dozen kids to run around, etc. Most dont understand the sign-in kiosk. Hard to make a quick stop there.

Your not honest when it comes to service you say I agreed to 2 yr deal basically I didnt want a service agreement and thats why I got Cox again I understood we could change our service anytime its obvious I was taken advantage of you say if I want lesser service its more money even though you have service plans on line for less Cox should be able to change an existing customer to lesser service Without penalties or charges due to the fact that we are a paying customer needless to say Ill be looking for alternative in cable and internet should of learned my lesson first go round!
