Fairways in bad shape. No water. Hard pan everywhere. Greens are decent. Thats the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Would not recommend playing until some water gets to the course.

Course is in really poor shape. Significant potions of the fairway are rock solid with little grass growing. Hole 6 had flooding problems. One altercation we saw turned into a physical fight on the green next to us.Driving range mats are flat and hard, only one rubber tee among all of them.In general the price to play here doesn’t line up with how the place is kept up.

Me and a group of guys have been paying a new golf course every weekend in the Omaha/council bluffs area this season. Fox Run is by far the worst out of the 17 other courses weve played this year. First time Ive ever signed up to play 18 holes and went back in after the front 9 for a refund on the back 9.The fairway on 2 was entirely half sand, the tee boxes had mushrooms and divots, you could tell the upkeep on this course was not good. The website is also not up to date, so expect prices to be different when you show up. For us we actually requested a tee time before 8am in order to take advantage of their early bird pricing only to be charged full rate (a difference of $16).As soon as we got out of our cars a gentleman we werent sure worked at the course because he was dressed in plain clothes yelled at us to grab our bags because carts werent allowed in the parking lot. We then had that same gentleman yell at us again while warming up waiting for our tee time because we were using the putting green for chipping even though there are no clearly marked signs anywhere detailing there were separate putting and chipping practice greens. As soon as we started our round we were immediately on top of two slower teams and had to wait considerably longer than other courses and they didnt have a ranger to help enforce standard interval of play.I know it sounds like Im just bashing this place but everything Im saying is matter of fact. It just wasnt fun. It felt like this place didnt care if you had a good time they just wanted you to pay and get out. Like a bad first date you couldnt end quick enough.

Fairways were in great shape and the greens were fast and true. Just wish we could take the carts out to the parking lot to pick up our clubs and unload as well. Some of us old farts have medical conditions and need this.

This operation is very poorly ran. I have golfed here a handful of times over the Summer hoping my next experience would be better than the last. I have never actually been able to tee off on my scheduled time. The tee boxes are constantly backed up. What’s the point of a tee time if you are teeing off 15 minutes after your scheduled time? Along with that the pace of play is horrendous. I’d expect a 5 and half to a 6 hour round. The course itself is in poor condition. Each green seems to have a different speed, the fairways have dirt patches, and the tee boxes are beat up.Last, I played at twilight last week and was the last cart in. I accidentally left my speaker in the cart. I called the next morning to see if it had been turned in and “nothing had been turned in”. I was the only cart left on the entire course. I find it hard to believe my speaker disappeared on its own.I will not be returning to this course and would recommend to others to do the same. Omaha and the Metro have several public and reputable courses. This is my far the worst in the area.

Course is in pretty good shape. Most people wouldnt comment on the condition of the sand traps... However today I found myself playing out of quite a few of them... If the course has any shortcomings, in my opinion the sand traps need to be addressed so theyre not quite so hard. Good job to whoever is running the course... Im looking forward to playing it again in the near future.

Conditions are getting better! I read a lot of reviews before playing and it just seems like many poor reviews are just people that need to learn some golf etiquette. Yelling fore is for the safety of everyone around but what do I know. Keep up the good work to the maintenance guys and inside staff was great! I’ll be back to play!

Convenient location from down town Omaha. Overall the course is OK at best. The pace of play was really slow with foursome and more-somes holding up the field. Good luck trying to play thru. The greens were decent but the rough were VERY rough and difficult to play from. That said, there are many other courses around Omaha that I would rather play for the the amount of money that was spent to play here.

Greenskeepers had # 10 tore up 10:30 in the morning. I hit a poor shot that roll close to the workers. Did not yell fore no one was in danger. One of the guys working was extremely rude and even yelled at me on the next tee. Totally unprofessional. Been playing there for 35 yrs, will go somewhere else next year. The head pro needs to go back to school and learn customer service. The golfers pay everyones wages they need to keep that in mind.

Course is lacking heavily in maintenance (tee boxes not mowed, rough was very difficult to locate balls in, etc.) was charged an additional cart fee for having someone ride with me who was not golfing and even tue employee who worked in tue clubhouse agreed that it was a ridiculous charge. All in all disappointed in the experience as a whole.

Review №14

Course is never in good shape. Grass not growing in several spots, mowing is inconsistent from green to green, tee and distance markers are different on every hole.Holes 6 &7 are a completely different style for the course and 6 always has large flooded areas with no grass. The range has no central targets for aiming and the wooden yardage markers are faded and rotting. Small shacks around the course (old bathrooms, pump houses, etc) are falling apart and have graffiti on them.Clubhouse interior is acceptable but the outside needs some attention, one of the 4 pillars holding up the drive under canopy is completely missing. Pricing is inconsistent, never sure what a round will cost.If pricing can consistently stay under $40 with cart, this course is a good option for first time golfers or children learning.

Really accessible track to play. Close to downtown Omaha. Greens were a little shaggy. What should be their signature hole has been plagued with some flooding issues, but is coming around. Course was in good shape. Could probably benefit from a starter and a ranger, even on the weekdays. Pace of play was slow, and groups teed off one without any direction. Couple of long hikes if youre walking, but its super flat. Good deals are readily had as well. Offers a range, practice green, and short game area with a bunker, which is a huge plus.

Its still a work in progress. Greens much better, but fairways kinda patchy in places. My tee time last night was delayed 20 minutes due to some mixup with league schedules. I was told to go off the back, but there were leagues on back and front. This backed up my group and 2 tee times behind me. My group barely finished by dark, right behind the league. I felt bad for the groups behind me who had to finish in the dark.

Went there today for 18. The fact the people there were more concerned I didn’t have a mask then letting get my cart and play 18 with Family from out of town. Was very disappointed I did not play due to the fact the staff there was very rude. I know they need masks if we can not social distance. I also know that there was other ways to handle this. Not sure if I will use my money to play there if I am gonna be treated like that

Ge
Review №29

The place is in desperate need of a remodel. Greens are trashy and are always sandy and rough. The best looking holes are the 2 lining the mean old people houses that have to sign home owner agreements. The course is not even worth $15. Someone should buy it just to use the land for apartments. Just go to Dodge Riverside if you want greens and fairways that actually roll well. $15 twilight rates walking. Not to mention Dodge actually has bunkers that are not as hard as concrete. The only good use of Fox Run’s land is the driving range and even that is lack luster.

The greens aren’t domed, they’re smaller (iron accuracy and ball striking will help you here). The greens are fully recovered and roll very well. The grass is long in the rough as is most golf courses, the shorter grass is the fairway which makes it easier to locate/find your drives. Fairway grass height is 3/4” rye/bluegrass mix (normal for midwestern course to withstand summer temps). All in all, the course conditions have never been better. They also offer one of the best practice facilities in the area.Check it out!

I had a great time at Fox Run! I thought the course was very well maintained, and had no issues what-so-ever. After reading the other reviews I wonder if its under new management or something seeing as how old they all are... It was cheap and a really nice course I thought. I live in Des Moines and its better than 9 out of 10 courses here! All the staff were cheery and helpful even at 8 am on a Sunday. The course wasnt the hardest Ive played, but it wasnt simple either. All in all I had a great time, and would play there every time I was in Omaha.

Fox Run Golf Club = Bad Business! They decided to dramatically increase the price per golfer for a cancer benefit tournament days before the event. This event has been held for years and now, under new management, they make a decision to demand more money or cancel the event (a tournament of 76 confirmed players). This speaks volumes about their values and it is recommended that you find another course until they get their act together.

Great golf course for an afternoon round of casual golf with the buddies.Nothing super special or difficult, just a reasonably priced place to hit some balls. Review №49

The new owner and greens keeper have really turned the course around. It still needs a little help here and there, but for the price, its well worth it. The main problem Ive had here is the spacing of tee times and on more than one occasion, groups of 6,8 and even a 12 some. Pace of play can be slow and they could really use a ranger. Overall its a descent place to go a round in.

My friends have hosted a fundraising golf tournament to raise money for Relay for Life here for several years, bringing in a great deal of business to them. This tournament has been scheduled since last summer for June 1st. This morning the new management called to tell them that they would not honor the previous management’s deal and raised the price to a fee that was much higher than agreed upon, making it impossible to hold the tournament. She was treated very rudely by management as well. I find this reprehensible and will not set foot on this course again. We had planned to play there this weekend but will give another course our business. If this is the kind of “management” you are employing, you will not receive my business, nor the business of any of my friends, acquaintances or anyone who asks me where to play in the area. To not honor a deal already made and to do so 2 weeks before the event so that it can’t be moved to a decent course, is bad enough but to shut down a FUNDRAISER for cancer due to greed, is unconscionable. I won’t, and I recommend you don’t, support a place that does business in this way.
