I stopped in to show them what work I needed done fully expecting to make an appt and come back. Instead, the guys took it in right away and knocked out a new exhaust in no time for a great price. They also do other work too besides exhaust, will absolutely use them next time I need work done.

Side note Im a mechanic myself. Chris was great to work with. Didnt get pressured into anything, he was very polite and understanding to my situation. Nice local shop. Glad I stopped by.

I took my car there to get some work done and there was a miss understanding. So i brought my car back and the manager was really rude to me and wouldnt let me get any words out, so i guess im finding a new exhaust shop.

Wow. These guys are great! I was on the fence about an exhaust up-grade. My old (supposedly factory) muffler that I had replaced last year just wasn’t cutting it. Jim had the perfect solution. I drive a V8 and the muffler lets people know without being annoying. At accelleration and cruising speed it sounds absolutely perfect. They were expedient having the truck done in less than 2 hours from dropping it off. They are all very professional with great attitudes and the know their products!

These guys are the best. Always honest, always cheap, and always have your best interest in mind. They quote prices miles below dealer pricing, and most likely have a higher quality of work from what I have seen.

I had an exhaust flex section break off on an 07 Camry and they got me in immediately and put a new one on and made another repair to a weak area in the steel portion of the pipe. Needed a new flex tube welded in to my exhaust system. I had it off the vehicle which made it harder for them to make sure everything would align properly. They had me out the door in 30 minutes. I went home and fitted the new exhaust and it fit perfectly. They are very knowledgeable and experienced. These guys are great. Highly recommend.

Love this place! I have taken my cars here for years. They do a great job and are very affordable.Last week I took my truck in to have its brakes replaced. They did the rear brakes only telling me that the front brakes still had some life in them. Happy to find an honest mechanic!

Just the fact that he was willing to deal with owner supplied parts was impressive. These were the tailpipes I wanted for the correct aesthetics and Jim was fantastic for the install. Im an ex-mechanic, now doing easier high tech stuff, but I usually do all my own repair work on my cars. That being said, I ran into a problem getting the right parts to fix my wifes cars exhaust system. I ordered a replacement resonator right from the manufacturer, pulled out the whole exhaust system only to find out that the part would not fit. I got a referral from a mechanic friend to take the car to Muffler Doctor. Boy am I glad he told me about them, they got the car in right away and put together a great replacement resonator and installed it for about $30 more than I had paid just for the part that didnt work! Seriously, a very high quality repair at a price I couldnt have done it myself for! I will be back for all of my under car needs!

Ive had two different mufflers replaced on two different cars, 3 years apart. Quality of work was professional and done in a timely manner. The cost of doing business was far less than I expected. Any exhaust work I need in the future will be done here.

DONT GO HERE. They broke the hood latch on my car. Then said it was broke when I got there. They got it latched so I could leave. but now I cant get my hood open. It was working fine before i got there. I just opened the hood to check the oil. They made a mistake but lied to cover it up.

After living in Eagan for five years and then moving to Crystal, Im still willing to make the trip to Cottage Grove!

Customer service was absolutely terrible, not only rude to me, but I watched as they were very rude to a lady who was also there. I will not go back there as they seem to only care about the money and not the people they are helping.

Jim has done work for us on a couple of occasions and weve been satisfied every time. The latest was for the replacement of a flex pipe on my SAAB. I had a coupon for one of the more popular online parts suppliers that specializes in Euro cars, including SAAB and I was able to get the flex pipe at a VERY good cost. I called Muffler Doctor and spoke to Jim and asked if he would mind installing the pipe if I bought it. A lot of shops flat out refuse to install customer-provided parts. Not Jim. He said if i could get the pipe inexpensively that was no problem, just bring it in and theyd do the install, probably no more than $100. I dropped the car off on a Thursday afternoon when I was going to be out of town on Friday, picked it up Saturday morning. $75. Yet another happy Muffler Doctor customer. Do what you can to support your indy mechanics...theyre your best option and in my experience tend to take more pride in their work.

I needed to have my muffler repaired and they were able to repair it immediately! They said that all I needed to do was weld a pipe instead of purchasing a new muffler. They are very honest, knowledgeable and cheap.

Best mechanic experience of my life. My exhaust pipe disconnected from my heat shield and dealership wanted $1,700 to replace the whole pipe (refused to weld it). These guys replaced only the part of the pipe that was rusted and damaged. Took them less than 30 minutes and cost me $103. They even saved me a bay so when I arrived, they had one open. Saved me $1,600 and refused a tip! Guys have been in the business about 30 years and ex-mechanie bf vouched the handwork.

My car was super loud, and I took it to a chain repair shop and they wanted over 1400 to repair the loud exhaust. I took it here and it cost me 80. Its nice to know there are still honest repair shops like this one around. Will always work with these guys for repairs first.

I stopped in on a Monday 2 weeks ago for a tire loosing air. I had stopped at 4 different places and was told they could get me in Tuesday or Wednesday! Muffler Doctor got me in right away. 20 mins later the bead leak was fixed. No up selling because the check engine light is on. Today stopped in for a new battery, in and out in 30 mins. Very friendly. Reasonably priced too.

HUGE CROOKS! DONT GO HERE!A vehicle of mine was brought to a nearby shop for repairs. Turns out the catalytic converter was clogged and the exaust system needed to be replaced. The shop I brought it to does not do exaust work so they sub contracted it to Muffler Doctor. I paid around $1,000.00 for a new exaust system. With decades of honesty from the shop I actually brought it to I never checked the work before picking it up.Six months later the exaust started falling apart and I brought it back dumbfounded they would do this. Thats when I found out they farmed it out to Muffler Doctor and they had done the poor job, charging me for a full system, and only splicing in new converters.COMPLETE AND TOTAL CROOKS DO NOT GET WORK DONE HERE! The only thing they care about is selling you the most expensive service they can and cutting as many corners as possible to make more money for themselves. If you like getting ripped off and lied to then this is the place for you!

Worst place ever, they install a windshield motor only for six months later to have it burn out. Then tell me they dont have a computer for record. They are a bunch of filthy crooks!! Never go to this place, honest one all the way.
