Got our old oak floors refreshed and refinished about six years ago. It DID look amazing at that time. The problem started a few years later as the 25 year finish began to wear off in spots and the wood under began to fade again. Also, the urethane finish began to get dull pretty uniformly, despite cleaning EXACTLY as they recommended. It now never looks clean. The real problem is that I cant get it fixed. I cant get them to come out and even look at my flooring without telling me on the phone that I need to pay for an entire sand (note the name no sanding) refinish. The last two times I called, Gus said hed call me right back. Nope.

If there were a zero, thats how many stars this company should get.A friend just called me over to see her recently refinished floors. Words almost fail me -- they look like a botched facelift. Instead of a uniform, invisible, coating, this formerly attractive floor is now covered by a patchwork of textures -- some shiny, some rough and gravelly, some pimply, some that look like tire tracks. Whatever was sloshed onto the surface didnt manage to cover it all, though some brushstrokes (heading every which way) and the gaps in between are all too visible. Top it off with more than a few hairs caught in the goo and what you get is a total mess.Whoever was responsible for this travesty appears to have had no prior contact with wood floors; they clearly dont know how to refinish them.Im trying to decide if this is a pathetic attempt at a new business or a scam. Either way, Id avoid them at all costs.
