I just visited Rockstar Tan for the first time ever because I needed a spray tan but don’t like the machines that do them, so I opted for the airbrush method.I’ll admit, I walked out after the session feeling a bit overwhelmed by the color (I thought it was too dark). But after showering a few hours later, I am blown away by the incredible bronze color my skin now has. I’m naturally very, very pale, but this color looks so natural and just makes me feel like it’s way warmer outside than it actually is!I fully plan on going back as soon as I need another tan!

I love that they have kept the doors open during this COVID shutdown. Tannin is part of self care for me so it’s a must so I keep feeling good about myself no let’s face it, right now it’s full of depression and anxiety and for me tanning helps bunches. Staff for most part are helpful and welcoming. Beds work great! The beauty bar is a win in itself. They def take care of their customers with that. All in all I’m very satisfied and would totally recommend this place

10/10 recommend rockstar to anyone that is in need of a good spray tan, my first time and they were awesome! super sweet staff and so easy and simple. will definitely be coming back!

The best stand up tanning beds ever. So clean and they always have great specials. Very nice people working there. I think they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Lay down and stand up beds are always disinfected.

I had been going to the Cypress location for a few years then when we moved to HB , the Costa Mesa/Newport location was just 10 min from home so started tanning here last May ...yes .....soon after businesses were allowed to reopen with covid 19 precautions in place.The girls are always so nice and the beds are clean and well kept. The hours have been modified due to the pandemic ..but I can usually make time as they stay open until 7 pm daily. The membership plans are the best I have seen anywhere .. and the daily specials and month free when paying 3 months in advance is a great bonus incentive...! Ill keep coming back, and wouldnt go anywhere else!

Staff is friendly. Salon is clean. Masks are required. And most important - Im tan!

LOVEE this place. i switch off between the cypress & costa mesa locations, & i love them both.they have the best deals & prices. they have a great groupon offer for your first visit & they offer a different special for everyday of the week.their referral program is by far the best i’ve ever had. each referral gives you $5 off your monthly bill, so after referring 2 people my bill is about $8/month for the lowest star beds (i believe it’s the 2 star beds?) the discount is permanent, so both my referrals have since cancelled, and my discount still applies.they also offer really good promotions every now & then. my favorite so far was if you pay for the rest of the year up front, which was about 3 months at that time, then you get upgraded to the best beds for those 3 months. so i paid something close to $25 and i got free upgrades for the rest of the year. plus my payments were taken care of. couldn’t ask for anything better than that.definitely worth the money! only thing i would say is that their lotions aren’t the cheapest, even the little packets. i buy mine online for like less than half of what they charge, but that’s usually the case at most tanning salons.

Pretty much just a Basic tanning salon.. usually go to the one in costa mesa and got 3 months for less than $40 (on Groupon) so that was rad. & They have a table full of complimentary hygienic items you might need to use for your session. (Hair ties, hemp lotion, astringent, baby wipes cotton swabs, hair gel ect.) Nothing really bad to say.

Its so clean and the staffs here are super-super nice and friendly. Benton, shes one of the staff there. Shes always nice and whenever I dont understand something or have a question about the price or promotion that they have. She would tried to explain it the way that I would understand it better. Thank you Rockstar and all the ladies staff there. Keep up the good work. : )

This place is always super clean and the girls working here are always extremely polite! Plenty of sales on lotions, and discounts on memberships for friend referrals.

The staff here seems nice and I appreciate that! My only issue is the leaat strong stand up tanning booths - Ive been going for almost 3 weeks now and barey have a tan. I hope they replace them with stronger booths soon!!

This location is badass 😎. Luxuriously designed tanning salon with multiple locations and a friendly staff that makes recommendations for products and services to help you achieve your goals. My thighs and belly havent seen sunlight in years. Rockstar Tan has bronzed my cottage cheese glow to a sandy SoCal Carmel...I am thankful for Rockstar Tan...and girls, if you happen to pop in when the owner is around, he aint half bad to look at for any motivation you may be looking for. Lol.... This is my preferred location.

I asked for extra dark for a competition & paid extra just to get barely any sunkissed color that I could get from 10 min in the sun or bed.They have decent prices and nice location, but if Im not getting tan whats the point?

This is a great place, very clean ,has a ..what I call a beauty station I love their hemp lotions many flavors to choose from but the real rock stars are all the girls behind the counter so nice and friendly always smiling and they knew my name by my third visit, I just walk in the door and there already in my account.

Hands down the best beds I have experienced in Orange County! The memberships are more than reasonable for the quality of the beds AND they have daily specials! The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating!

I never ever write reviews or even complain and I usually let things go but this is something that I can’t just let go especially because I am now a paying member! I have never been to this tanning salon before but I figured I’d go try it out since it has such great reviews. They say they open at 8am. I went to the one in Newport Beach first to try and get a membership but they hadn’t even opened yet and I got there after 8. I waited for 45 minutes until I finally decided to leave because they still weren’t open and I wasn’t going to wait any longer. I went to the location in cypress. I still ended up signing up and getting a membership and figured I would just start going to this location since they seemed to be more responsible. Second time I go tan, staff was rude which I didn’t appreciate. Any tanning salon I ever went to staff was amazing and friendly. Third time I’m here, at the cypress location waiting for them to open. It’s half hour after 8 and I’m still waiting. I usually like to tan early because I have things to do and don’t have time to sit here and wait. I will be canceling my membership because I can’t do this every morning when I have appointments and places to be and I can’t tan any other time of the day! This is ridiculous. It sucks because I am stuck in a three month contract and will have to pay to get out of it but I would rather that than do this every morning wasting my time.

This place is clean, new, great machines. I really like the $24.99 unlimited monthly plan deal. Maybe people like to lay down, but I love the standing up stalls. From experience, I paid for a local tan shop, it went out of business and had old tanning beds. Would totally recommend Rockstar Tan over any unknown tanning salon.

Mostly stand up beds.....after 10+ years as a regular Bare Tan customer....just switched.....Very Happy with the move.....Nice staff....Quality beds.....Competitive Costs....

Very welcoming and pampering Ive never been to a tanning salon that has an area where you can take care of all your needs: from qtips, to lotion to make up remover to hair ties to men and womens deorandant to hairspray to a keurig coffee maker!! thats a PLUS for me **and they are SUPER clean, very friendly, willing to explain everything and answer questions, COMPETITIVE LOW PRICES another PLUS ** & u can chose between lay downs/stand ups/ spray tan/ airbrush with different levels.my first experience was over the top and I will definitely be returning :)

First they advertise no contracts but in order to take advantage of the membership prices you must do at least three months. (so much for so called no contracts!) Then if you decide to do the membership they WILL NOT take cash yes your heard me WILL NOT TAKE CASH, I was ready to pay the three months in FULL WITH CASH and they insisted on a credit or debit card in order to tan there. So much for CASH IS KING. Makes you wonder the alterior motives of a company that wont take cash. You need to see my drivers license and take a credit card just to tan??Oh right and when you accidentally charge my account for fees you shouldnt have, I have to spend MY TIME and ENERGY to fix your mistake, takes a second to charge and 90 days to see refund to my account? No thanks! I have had enough of the 24 hour fitness business model, do not need a tanning salon with the same crap!
