Missy has been doing my nails for awhile and I love her. I recently tried the new polygel and I love it. It doesnt hurt if I hit them on something and theyre sturdy.

Ive been to spas, franchise salons and many in betweens -- Ive never had an experience like the one Ive had today at Wild Styles on Main in Coshocton. After making an appointment about a week ago for a color lift, double process dye and cut, I showed up on time to see Paige. I was greeted somewhat abruptly and told she would be with me in ten minutes, this turned out to be over thirty. When she finally did ask me to be seated, I showed her (an actual photo, cut and color) of what I was interested in attempting to start working at today. Now let me make this clear; Ive been experimenting with colors and cuts from platinums, pastels, darks etc, for fifteen+ years, Im aware that some changes dont happen in one seating, Ive taken up to six to seven before and obviously several months and lotsaaaa money to achieve a desired look. Apparently these standards are not known, or even worked with at Wild Styles. Or perhaps this particular stylist just didnt feel like doing anything at the moment, all I know is she missed out on a life long, well tipping and loyal client.I took my business to Jillian Salon, I had a color consultation and have my first appointment with a lovely lady there who sat down and worked out the best design for my skin tone, facial features and current hair color. Seriously, if youre new to the area, dont even bother walking or calling in anywhere else, chances are youll end up here anyway!I had three great gals helping me; everything from what best fit my personality, lifestyle (super busy travelling) and most cost effective. Basically the opposite side of the spectrum from my earlier experience at Wild Styles.I would like to add a few other blatantly rude business practices I experienced in my 30+ minutes at Wild Styles on Main; The place looks like someone tried to design it cutely and then gave up, on clutter, cleaning and the overall flow of the design. I dont think the floor had been vacuumed or swept in quite awhile, which in any salon is saying a LOT;When I had scheduled the appointment I had clearly selected this day and time to allow the stylist and myself the time needed in her schedule to complete everything. Most obviously when making the appointment I was asked what the appointment was for and I stated this all as clearly as I have here, when I described this all to Paige she became very rude stating her schedule stated I would only require two hours of her schedule, half an hour of which she had already taken up doing something other than my hair, on my time, so now reduced to an hour and a half. Now, Ive ran three successful family owned businesses and managed satellite Fortune 500 offices and have NEVER placed blame on a customer/client for the shortcomings of an EMPLOYEE.I have no idea how salon owners manage their stylists, but if I had anyone employed under (or contracted by) me that represented my business and name in such a way I would be quick to remove any links between us.*** I achieved the desired cut immediately at Jillians Salon, I achieved the color within a week, something that Paige said couldnt even be done. I think she needs to either get with the times, stick to shaving heads or find a new line of work***
