Multiple occasions the momentum maintenance park in the handicap when I told one of the workers she was extremely rude about it and questioned if I even needed to park there. They tried to get my service animal removed because they “lost” the paperwork all of there appliances break in the apartment, water leaking from the ceiling, I was left days without AC or a shower because the shower handle fell off I called to get someone to fix it but no one. Terrible place to live ur better off with a regular apartment or maybe Miramar.

My best friend lived here last year and it was the worst. They mentioned August 1st as the move out date but when he went to the main office to ask if there was any way he could move out 2 hours after the assigned time they told him he had to move out by 1pm that day. He only had about an hour to gather all his things and they threatened to throw out anything he left behind. All in all, he successfully moved out and we moved in to a more affordable and BETTER housing. Dont live here if you want to have a good year. Sending out good vibes to everyone except Momentum fkn village.

Maintenance skipped my apartment when replacing cabinets. We’re the only apartment in phase one who still has the ugly vinyl cabinets and they were already badly ripped before I moved in. Everytime my roommates and I tell the office about it they say they’ll “make a note of it” it’s been SEVEN MONTHS of us asking and still no new cabinets.

I would not recommend living here unless you know who all is living with you. I had a roommate put into my room. They then started to sell weed and had at least 3 of their friends living in the apartment. UPD didn’t do much. Then I was the one who had to move out. She is still sell weed and having people live there with her. She broke lease in many ways. Momentum does not care about who lives there. They just need their money. If automatic draft doesn’t get pulled then it’s really expensive. I’ve had to pay over $1,000 because they didn’t pull out the rent. I would recommend Miramar’s single/studio apartments if you can pay for them. This place is horrible. It looks pretty from the outside, but if you need help from management they do not do their job. Some people are nice but they aren’t trained to handle real issues.

If I could go back and time and live at Miramar I would. PAPER thin walls, I literally can’t sleep with my roommates simply having a conversation in another room because it’s so loud. The speed bumps here are so high they will ruin your car, especially if you have a low car like me. Not to mention there are speed bumps every 5 feet. Management sucks and they charge you with a ridiculous utility fee at the end of the month. Do NOT live here.

I could leave out the part about terrible roommates and still have enough problems with this place to write a small novel. Aside from the fact that the management is clueless and never communicates with the student staff, many of them are rude and have no qualms harassing you at your front door. If you enjoy the falsehood of freedom and privacy this is definitely the place for you. The security is laughable at best, things are constantly stolen from cars and other areas, and management could not care less. Expect arduous fees upon move out, and for management to claim that you have renewed your lease when that never happened. They will then try to charge you a whole year worth of rent for their mistake. All in all would give a 0/10 if that was an option

Momentum Village promotes an idea of resident satisfaction; however, the apartment complex disrespects residents and makes communication difficult. On move-in, during a COVID-19 era world, I was forced to clean the entire apartment as the complex did not clean out the previous tenants rotting food, old cleaning supplies, decorations, and other random items. I threw out a total of 8 trash bags plus some larger items.During my lease, I have had issues with retrieving packages, getting in contact with employees, mysterious overage charges, midnight fire drills, and problems simply getting into the complex.Momentum Village had a odd system in which half of residents pick up packages from the Phase 2 building; however, this building has severely reduced hours resulting in an inability to get in contact with an employee. Incoming packages may only be picked up between 4-6 as mail does not arrive before. You cannot pick up packages over the weekend as both offices have severely reduced hours and less staff. Overall, picking up a package is a large headache at best.Getting into contact with managers is always a mess as student employees will not put you through to a manager for issues and instead all correspondence must occur over email. For large issues, such as the unprepared unit, this proves incredibly inconvenient.Next, Momentums policy of energy usage is that a specific amount of energy is rolled into rent, overages result in a charge. This proves problematic as payments may only be made in person with a check or a twenty dollar fee is imposed. Further, residents have no reference in which energy spending resulted in the overages so correcting the issue is a foggy mess. Further, even with raising my thermostat by over 5 degrees, next months overage charge DOUBLED.Further, Momentum Villages fire drills prove extremely disrespectful to residents through the form of fire drills occurring at 2AM. After evacuating the building, residents look for direction on whether or not the alarm is a drill. The only notification is the sudden silencing of alarms and a lack of fire trucks. Therefore, this presents a risk of great harm as residents may reenter buildings during an alarm as there is no clarification. Further, how do residents know that fire trucks will appear promptly when needed if Momentum constantly runs drill in the middle of the night? Who runs fire drills at 2AM?! People need sleep for their daily responsibilities! Finally, the gate system at Momentum Village is extremely difficult and inconvenient. They have a scanning system which looks for a hanging tag hanging on the front mirror. You have to twist your car around, reverse and go forward, or manually scan your key to get into the complex. All guests must be let in by the resident or follow other people through the gate. The elevators and stairs are both locked with pass-keys, meaning even if guests or delivery can get through the gate, they cannot reach the front door of any apartments above the first floor.Momentum Village sucks you in with beautiful floor plans and amenities, but leases are a full year. If you are an incoming student, find off-campus housing. It isnt worth the constant headache that is Momentum Village.P.S. All positive reviews are from previous RAs and family of staff. Recommended contact information for resolving issues is the same wall of untrained, blank-staring employees who wont fix your problem or let you speak to someone who can,

Under any circumstances DO NOT LIVE HERE. The RA’s and management staff are incompetent and slow to respond to issues, if they even respond at all. All they care about if making sure you pay your way over priced rent each month and leave you out to dry for anything else. Internet is always a constant issue that they can never fix. I would avoid this place like the plague. They also installed speed bumps about a foot high that WILL mess up your car if you do anything but CRAWL over them. And their fencing is constantly being ripped apart due to how cheap the material is and they never fix it.

I have mixed emotions about this place. I’ve been here for 3 years and the only reason why is because I’ve been fortunate enough to stay In the same spot while others came and left so I felt free in my own townhome. I’ve been fortunate enough NOT to have terrible roommate experiences other than not being as clean as me. Relatively normal. The amenities are cool, lots of areas to chill and enjoy yourself. On the other hand I’m not pleased with management or the RA’s. All the reviews you read about are definitely TRUE. I’ve seen and heard it all but haven’t experienced very much myself except for getting a fine for my dog and dealing with RA moving in without notice. I wish I would’ve looked at other apt locations because I wouldn’t have imagined living here this long but like I said, I’ve made it MY home. So I wish the future residents best of luck but you can find cheaper and BETTER quality elsewhere!!

Although my daughter lived here with only minor issues for two years, I am leaving a 1 star rating because of their response to COVID-19. My daughters classes are all online. We signed the worry-free guarantee on the premise that if classes were to go online, we wouldnt be out money. All of her classes are online, due to the school policies. Her lease cancellation was refused since SOME classes are still online. It is not safe to move to a hotspot city to take classes that are online but we have been told that we must pay the full rent. Not even a cancellation fee of 1k. She graduates in December so we owe almost $4k for a room she has and will never step in, that was cancelled as soon as she knew the classes were online.

Terrible place to live in RA and management are useless in every way possible. Maintenance are the cheapest around and can hardly fix simple things like cabinets being uneven or fixing the AC. Also maintenance will leave lights one causing a higher light bill and if you ask management what happened they will ignore you and pretend they care. All the bad things you hear about these apartments is absolutely true and it’s not worth living here. The good reviews are from past RA’s that worked for momentum village so of course they make it seem like it’s the best place ever. Momentum village is overly priced better to find apartments at midtown, campus quarters, or the kristi because MomentumVillage is not worth the money at all.

Im gonna be quite honest, I hate this place. The management is horrible, theyve already had 4 managers last year alone. Plus I just got the RA of my building moved into my townhouse and management didnt even tell me or my roommate that we were getting a new roommate!! Didnt email or call us about it. Just moved her right in that afternoon the same day maintenance came to check on Unit A. Theyre supposed to notify you when a new person is coming into your apartment and is going to be living with you. Me and my roommate shouldve had time to prepare for this girls arrival. Also last year, I was living in another townhouse with a horrible roommate. She was so loud, had parties all the time, and kept an unauthorized puppy in the house that peed all over the carpet. She wouldnt even clean up after herself in the common area. And Momentum didnt do anything about her either, even when she destroyed their property and got into a physical fight with another basketball player. During that fight, my roommate actually pulled a knife on this girl and even hit her with a hammer. She even broke two drawers in our kitchen during this altercation. How could momentum NOT kick this girl out?! See, Momentum Village doesnt care about its tenants. No, they just care about money. Save your money and dont get an apartment here. Youll thank me for that advice trust me!!

I was refunded over $200 and they literally sent me a letter a year later wanting money. I don’t even live in corpus anymore so I literally have to mail them a dollar. I had nothing but bad experiences here. They took almost a year to approve my emotional support animal. Fire alarms constantly going off. Way too expensive!!!! Management was always a mess. I could literally be doing homework and get a noise complaint on me. Some of the RA’s enjoy the power a bit too much and love to be rude and find a way to fine you. Plus they always come into your apartment sometimes without even a knock. I was taking a nap and woke up to one in my room. After I moved out they told me they would forward my mail and they never did and even lost some of my W-2 mail. I can’t even remember most of the stuff I went through living there for almost a year and a half. Overall I had a very bad experience here and even after a year of being free from this place they still try to find a way to ruin your day.

Honestly living here has made my freshman year a living hell. It looks nice at first until you take a closer look only to see that they made everything cheaply and are extremely money hungry. They said that utilities were included and no matter how much you leave the lights off or minimize your laundry loads, keep the ac off THEY WILL STILL CHARGE YOU AN EXTRA 10 DOLLARS A MONTH. Not to mention they said they provide free printing and paper but you get two rings a week split between the entire complex. The walls and floors are made so cheaply, dont think about walking because you WILL get a noise complaint and once you get one too many theyll begin to fine you. It doesnt matter if you were just walking to the kitchen with the purest intentions. They dont care about you and just want your money. If it wasnt for our RA I probably wouldve called it harassment the way they deal with situations. It sounds like a marching band above us and we havent called but maybe once because were understanding. ALSO, floor boards are popping up and every dryer they have given us is broken and we have duck tape on the one we have now just to get it to work. Miramer is a much better choice if you want to live on campus. I would NOT advise living here at all.

This is a horrible place to live. The girls in the office are extremely rude and have lost mail on multiple occasions. Tracking information will say that your mail has been delivered but the office girls will say they dont have it. For such a new community, this place has an excess amount of ongoing maintenance issues. Dont count only anything being done in a timely manner. Management rushed completion of Momentum and that shows. I still have the initial letter that stated the community may not be ready for move in because of delays. The letter claimed that they would provide hotels for each coming resident, but suddenly everything was completed by move in day. This is my guess as to why there are so many problems altogether. The manager will get things done if you hassle him personally, but youll get the run around before youre actually able to get in direct contact with him. Move here and youre going to stress more about your living situation than you will your college classes. I would not recommend Momentum Village at all.

After several times of doing this, hoping they would do something, the girl above me continued to be loud and mind you it was on purpose! I still wasnt getting anywhere. After I told my friend she told me to reach out to a girl that worked there, I was very hopeful that she was going to help me with my problem and even felt a bit of relief when I set up an appointment to talk about what was going on. After a couples days after our talk, the girl above me became louder, I obviously emailed the lady again to see if she ever talked to her(like she said she would), but I received no response. DO NOT MOVE HERESo, Ive been here for three years, and Ive tried to let everything slide. I saw the reviews when I moved in, and assumed it was individual experiences, and that I shouldnt let it affect me.Let me tell you, it does. For the longest time, the phase one elevator would be unreachable from the interior of the complex at night, because of a broken key code at the back door. Momentum refused to leave this door open, meaning, students at 3am had to walk along the OUTSIDE of the complex to get in. This means my friend who was on crutches had an extremely hard time getting into the complex.Ive sent pictures of the things Ive put work orders in for. This place is falling apart, and no one cares to fix it. The hot tub has been broken since March. Weve had management changes 4 times since Ive been here for three years. Things constantly broken are: The gate to enter the complex, The printer, The hot tub, the door/keypads, and literally everything in the units. They tell you when you move in that most students dont have utilities they have to pay. They give you a cap, and if you go over that you pay. This is a bold faced LIE. Ive gone over my utilities every month, with one other person by 50 dollars or more. We turn off lights. We turn our ac off when were not home. And to top it off, momentum refuses to give you a report of your useage, so you cant actually see what you used it on. I have a friend who got the same bill down to the PENNY two months in a row. Everyone I know has a high useage. Dont listen to their lies. They say printing is included, but the printers never work. When they do, theyre out of paper. They only supply the entire complex with one ream a week. With students that have labs printing 30 pages at a time, its never enough.3m sticky pads dont work on the walls, the paint peels right off. I asked for paint to touch up my unit, and was refused because there will Just be a fine when you move outAll the units have mold and bugs. And youre told Everyone has mold, its just a problem on the coastWe were informed over the summer that the entire complex would become pet friendly, for them to change that without putting it on their website. Only one building is pet friendly.People from off the street come to our pool constantly when they dont even have people that live here. If you think this is a secure complex, youre just wrong. The gates are constantly broken and left open, and when theyre not, you can slip through the broken bars. The complex decided to put in speed bumps over the summer, and theyre so high, that low riding cars scrape their bottoms on them. even when going 3 mph. Theyre too high from the ground.Everyone at the front desk tells you Umm idk when you ask a question. I literally had a girl staring at a dominoes cupon instead of helping me when I asked to pick up a package. When maitenance finally does come, or even if theyre just preparing units for move in, they dont knock, they dont send you an email saying theyre entering, (ILLEGAL) they dont give you any warning. Ive literally been in panties with no bra, and had middle aged men walk into my unit. Ive literally been at my drier putting on a shirt, and said IM NOT DRESSED HANG ON and had them barge in anyway. This complex may look nice at first glance, but management makes it unbearable

If I could give this place no stars I would! There customer is terrible. It took a week and a half to reply to a simple question by email. I tried calling and the person the phone told me to email them and they would respond the same day. That is total bs!!! Plus when I finally got an email back, they disregarded all of my questions and only told me what would benefit them!! THEY HAD THE AUDACITY TO ONLY TELL ME HOW MUCH MONEY I OWED WHEN I ASKED FOR A PAYMENT PLAN, AN EXPLANATION OF WHERE THEY WERE GETTING THIS INSANE PAYMENT FROM AND MUCH MORE!!!I understand that I would be charged money because I canceled the contract a few days before move in day due to personal problems at home that could not be dealt with, but they are making matters much worse than they need to be by ignoring all of the questions that I asked. When I first looked at the other reviews on google for this stupid apartment I thought everyone was exaggerating, but now I realize that its true! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!!! Dont listen to their lies about caring about you! THEY HAVE ONLY SERVED TO WORSEN MY TACHYCARDIA AND ANXIETY!!!! DO NOT GO HERE! Seriously any other place would be better than living with mold and pests as the other reviews claim for $710! Thats just a plain steal!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I lived at Momentum Village for three years and worked as a Resident Assistant for a little over a year during my undergrad. I have never experienced such a toxic work environment, my coworkers (RAs) were EXTREMELY racist towards residents and any person of color. The RAs enjoyed giving fines to residents while doing the same things that they were doing. Unfortunately, many of those people still work there and have even been promoted. However, there were a few staff members that were actually sincere and wanted the best for their residents but overall it was a terrible experience. Most of the positive reviews for this apartment complex are from RAs who are just trying to sell and make this place seem attractive in order to reach a certain number. This apartment complex is extremely overpriced and not worth it. I have personally had many issues with mold and pest control that took over four months to resolve. Save yourself some money and live elsewhere.

Momentum village is over priced for what you are getting. The RA’s are great and on side of the residents but the management do not keep the residents in mind. Their roommate matching process does not work. Last year I got 3 new roommates and one of the of them had mental health issues and the other 2 roommates and I had to change units for our safety. Management will tell you that you will be getting new roommates but never tell you that you really aren’t. They painted the apartment building and got paint in my car and several others and momentum village did not want to deal with the insurance and was trying to brush it under the rug. The Maintenance workers are amazing and super nice. If I could give momentum 0 stars I would. You will have a better college experience if you rent an apartment that is not momentum. I really enjoyed my time at TAMUCC but it would have been better if my stay at momentum village was better. I canceled my lease due to me graduating in December 2018 amd they then emailed me around Christmas saying Id owed rent when I didnt even live there anymore and they knew that I had filled out all the cancellation paper work and turned in all of my keys.

When I first moved in I absolutely loved it, until I later realized how terrible the management is and communicating with any management is difficult. Maintenance orders take forever, walls are super thin so you can here your neighbors, bedrooms are small you can’t even rearrange. I am transferring and the only way I can communicate with the leasing coordinator is through email. It takes forever to get an email response. Also it is super expensive, plus there’s bed room checks once a month. But they come through twice (The RA comes once, then maintenance comes again). They knock on the door and walk right in. there’s no privacy, and I am 20 years old. I do not need someone to check my room for me every month.

This is by far the worst place to live while in college. My first experience as a freshman and I hate it. This is not a homey place, and has created more financial problems for me than i have ever had by being here. The management seriously sucks, as as well as how they handle situations. The RAs handle the situations very poorly as well. They like to harass people for their money, and add extra late fees over any possible reason they can find. Youre better off staying at the dorms that are on campus. We have add to replace one dryer already, and even by turning off the lights, the bill is still high. Dont waste your time, and dont end up losing money to such a lousy student housing center.

I would not recommend living here. Sure the apartments are nice and the pool is nice but thats only part of it. The people in the office are very rude 99% of the time, the maintenance issues are ongoing and the timeliness of them fixing the problem is not in your favor. There are so many issues with the apartments since they were rushed when being built so that everyone could move in on time, its very obvious that the process was sped up. The hassle of dealing with the people here is more than what someone should be dealing with while going to school.

Honestly, first looking at Momentum Village, it appears to be a nice complex. But living there and having to deal with the unreasonable charges and fees is very upsetting. They have charged me over $500 for random stuff such as room cleaning and bed replacement although I thoroughly cleaned everything before moving out. They took their time to make a check so there was dust which I cannot stop when I don’t live there anymore. Also, the floors are so thin you can hear walking to the point people are constantly complaining. Along with that, when trying to pay for rent each month, the system wouldn’t allow me to activate the continual auto pay, therefore causing me to pay the convenience fee each time. The staff was cool sometimes but it doesn’t nearly outweigh the bad once you’re locked into the lease. I am highly disappointed from the money I’ve wasted living there. It was a nice apartment with a free gym and pool but DO NOT waste your money staying here.

Dont ever live here it may look all pretty and nice but its not worth the hell youll be put through. I moved in as a freshman this year and ended up hating 2 of my roommates, tried to talk to management and my RA no one would ever contact me back or my RA said shed drop by to have a chat and never once did. After putting up with it for a few months I decided to move out and cancel my lease, that was at the end of October. They then emailed me around thanksgiving saying Id owed rent when I didnt even live there anymore but they didnt know that when I had filled out all the cancellation paper work and turned in all of my keys. They suck at communicating with one another and continued to still charge to my account for the following month of December, Im still going back and forth with them not answering my calls or emails and I havent lived there for two months. These people are lazy and just looking for a way to make the most money not even caring about the students. Do yourself a favor and dont step foot on this property. They honestly deserve no stars.

I just moved out after living here for 2 years and I can say good and bad things about this place. First, the good things. The maintenance staff is great and things are fixed really quick. The grounds are kept relatively clean and the ras are usually very nice. Its a nice gated community and a safe place for students just getting out of the house to live and explore. The apartments themselves are nice and well furnished. I also like that utilities except for electricity are included. On the other hand it is a lot of money for what youre getting. They dont try to hide theyre prices which is nice, but its priced per bedroom. I know this is typical for student housing but they are making a lot of money off of us. The wifi kind of sucks within the apartments. Theyre roommate matching process works terribly and is confusing. I also had a constant battle with ants at one point even though we are supposed to have pest control. The room inspections arent as intrusive as I thought they would be, but I still hated knowing that once a month someone was going to come into my room and look around and they could do it even when I wasnt home. All in all I think this is a great place to start out college but not a place youd want to end up for all 4 years. Its better then most dorms by far and its honestly just a matter of what you can or cannot handle. Dont be afraid to give them a shot but also dont be afraid of looking for places off campus either.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! There are MUCH cheaper options and better places to live in Corpus. I was one of the first people to ever move into Momentum and at first it was great, but then everything took a turn. My girlfriend has a service dog and her and the dog would stay to occasional night but momentum saw them and charged me and my roommates for having a pet in the apartment, even after we presented the evidence that he was a service dog. After this they just kept charging me for everything. If you even step wrong here they will charge you a fee for it. If you are a person who likes privacy, well don’t live here. There is constantly someone walking in and looking around (trying to find stuff to charge you for) the location is terrible, yes it close to campus but it’s also close to the sewage treatment plant, so you can image how it smells sometimes. I like transparency and Momentum does give that, with the Utility bills me and my roommates didn’t like the amount we where paying so we cut back on everything but our bill didn’t change. So we went to the office to see our power usage and they couldent provide that for us. So if they don’t know how much we used how can they bill us for it? I don’t recommend living here. Me and my roommates moved to a house on Ocean Drive what has 7 bed rooms and we are paying the same amount after all our utilities that we paid momentum for our tiny 4 bedroom. This place is a rip off and is now a monopoly in the student housing for Texas A&M University as they now own Camden also. Find some friends and rent a house together, you will have a MUCH better college experience and will have a lot of stress that dosent exist will having to deal with the management. Trust me, this place is not worth it. And to answer a question Momentum will lie to you about, your student loans WILL cover off campus living. Me and my roommates did and we are all using different loan company’s/types, only thing in common is they are student loans.

I have lived here for 2 years now and my only advice would be to choose a different location. Most, if not all, good reviews found on here are from RAs or from people offered prizes for leaving good reviews. For the price you pay here, you could get a one bedroom/ one bath not too far down the street. Ive had many different issues over the past few years; for example, my friend and I were supposed to room together, so we notified the property before we were supposed to and took proper steps to make sure it happened, but just a few weeks before move-in I found out that they had someone else in the room instead of her, so I contacted management, who always fails to reply in a timely manner, and had all kinds of issues with them before getting everything situated just days before move-in. One of the amenities that we pay for is cable, but mine hasnt worked for over a year and momentum has refused to help me resolve the issue, instead they direct me to spectrum, who has told me I have to pay for movie rental purchases that my previous roommates made. I, as well as multiple other tenants on my floor, have had mice and ants in there apartment. When I found out about these problems I tried to put in a work order, but the student portal where work orders are supposed to be made has not worked for me, but they have done nothing to resolve this, so I have to call the office to have work orders put in and I have to do so multiple times because they forget or there not sure what happened when nothing has been done about it in over two weeks. This also caused me to go without a microwave for weeks, and when the mouse was finally caught on glue traps I was told no one was available to come get it out of my room. Maintenance and RAs also have a tendency to enter apartments without knocking and Ive had them walk in on me when I didnt have clothes on because they just let themselves in, or they come in after theyve knocked and Ive told them to wait.

I have lived here for two years. The first year was alright then the second year was horrible. Management would not let me out of my lease for the summer when i notified them before the deadline. Their excuse was because the complex was not full, but why send a email allowing the chance to cancel. Now i have to pay for the summer when i dont even attend tamucc. To add on to it new roomates moved in without any notification and when talking to them they are not even students although this is “student housing”. There are constant drugs all around the complex clearly noticable by smell but they fine you for something as little as having a sink full of dishes despite us being college students and working full time, but the drugs are fine to them. I would rate this a 0 star if i could and this complex would easily be a 1 if their own staff didnt rate the complex and they held events offering free stuff for ratings.

Living at Momentum was a great experience for me! I was reading the other reviews and was kinda dumbfounded by the complaints from the helicopter parents, and other students. This is a very SAFE community. Everything that you need to know regarding room checks, utilities, etc. is all in your lease! Momentum staff has gone above and beyond to make sure that I felt apart of the community. The RAs put on many programs during the month such as, cupcake decorating, basketball shoot out tournaments, breakfast for dinner nights, karaoke, plant your own succulent, talent shows, golden easter egg hunts, etc. When Harvey came, Momentum Village was sure to help and assist with anything that I needed, they actually answered more questions for me such as how move in process changed, compensation, etc. than the university itself. I had my own set of roommate issues but they were quickly resolved by my RA. Student success is apart of Momentums philosophy they provide everything I needed as a biochemistry major to be successful this includes but isnt limited to Mac bar, study rooms, and group study areas. In my experience, if I had an issue with anything the staff was quick to resolve it. My bathroom lights went out and they were fixed, once I put he work order in, within the hour. My sink was having issues draining and was leaking, maintenance resolved that issue immediately. I live in a 4bed 4bath and Im satisfied with my apartment, compared to on campus, Im so grateful to not have to share a bathroom with any of my roommates. The kitchen appliances are modern and up to date. Overall I am extremely satisfied with Momentum Village and their staff! I would highly recommend any prospective TAMUCC student to live here.

This place is great if your a new student and want to become familiar with your surroundings and meet new people and make new friends however these apartments may look very appealing but they are over priced and cheaply made the floors and walls are really thin there was a girl that lived on my floor who stomped when she walked I could hear her stomping the minute she got off the elevator all the way to her apartment and I could be in my room , the restroom it didn’t matter I could still hear it my neighbor played very loud Mexican music all the time I could hear hear music through out my whole apartment I complained but NOTHING was ever done and if you fall on financial hardship don’t expect moment village to accommodate you if you’re not talking money you’re not speaking their language Jake Gonzalez is a terrible manager he never answers emails or calls but can send you a email with a late charge fee whenever he wants he doesn’t seem to even care for the students he doesn’t try to work out anything with you AT ALL! It’s all about the money I had some financial aid issues that I found out last minute and discovered my housing was no longer covered I sent Jake an email ask for help and wondering if I could do a payment arrangements and he replied LITERALLY! a month later (I cannot make this up) and he said no because at the time he FINALLY replied at that moment I was now 2 MONTHS behind but I sent the email before I was 2 months behind and he said no, I couldn’t get any payment arrangements until I come up with the first months rent GO FIGURE!!!! Oh and might I add that I had already turned my keys in and moved out by the time he replied he’s LAZY! and doesn’t care for the students at AT ALL I honestly don’t think any of the members of management at momentum village care. Hey any students/parents, do not choose to live here I can gurentee it will be hell. Please look into campus quarters or midtown for a better price and a better place to live. Honestly I thought that there would be a lower rating on here because all I ever hear when I bring up momentum is how horrible it is. And all of the horrible reviews I can completely agree with living here for a year. Every kid that moves away from home for the first time longs for independence and privacy and that is something you will NOT get living at momentum. You will have an RA do room checks once a month and a maintenance worker once a month guaranteed, which is completely reasonable and understandable living “on campus”.However, you will literally ALWAYS be wondering if someone is going to walk into your apartment. I’ve had 5 different maintenance workers be in my apartment at one time without a single email warning. For example, two staff members walked through my apartment at 8:30PM when the office closed at 6. They have no consideration for your time. Another big fault is these apartments look nice on this outside but they are a mess on the inside. We already have mold in the walls and these are less than a year old. The foundation is going to be a wreak in the next year or so. Everything is so poorly done and it’s very obvious. PLEASE DONT LIVE HERE! Almost every single person regrets signing their lease. I can’t not express how much you should not waste your hard earned money on this trash can.

This was the worst decision our family made in relation to sending our daughter to school at TAMUCC. She is in a four bedroom townhouse and basically had no roommates the majority of the year. Two were allowed out of their leases to move home and were allowed to break leases without paying the full year. Multiple other residents have been let out of leases but not actually transferring or unenrolling, but my daughter has attempted to communicate with management multiple times because she is getting married, moving across country and transferring to a new school and they still wont let her out. RAs and maintenance do not follow lease rules regarding entering the apartment and management has even given our daughters apartment info to two new roommates who ended up harassing her because she said she wasnt comfortable with them smokin pot in the apartment. Now, shes been alone most of the year, they say she cant move out early for multiple reasons, all dont line up with other residents experiences, one of which is they cant fill the apartment during the summer. Then, today she gets notification they are moving two people in tomorrow. So they can fill the apartment, and now will be making more money on the townhouse than they did the rest of the year. So now she is paying rent in two states and must drive back across the country to officially check out in two months. So instead of being appreciative of a good resident who has had no lease violations and has been a responsible tenant they are punishing her instead of other residents who couldnt keep their grades up and get kicked out or smoke pot in the apartments. Just extremely frustrating to see how nice they are at the beginning, how we were told in the beginning that the lease could be broken if moving to a new school...apparently communicating and following the rules isnt enough and its about who you know. Let me add that this was after move in day hell of having a room full of fans that werent removed due to water damage and we got basically three hours to move in vs the 24 hours other campus housing received. No apologies...just two guys show up three hours after our arrival and remove the fans leaving us with a long night of unpacking and setup after everyone else was enjoying welcome weekend activities.

Long but an enlightening and educated review based of personal encounter!! One star is not merited, however it must be selected for rating purposes. I can provide a laundry list of issues and dissatisfaction. Above all, do your homework with this community. It is enticing and alluring, no need to o purchase a meal plan, at least that is what we believed. Although there is not a prerequisite to purchase a meal plan, this company will find a way to nickel and dime your bank account. The best advice I can provide...Parents/Students, IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE OUT FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS CALL TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE “DEADLINE” BEGINNING IN MARCH. That is if they answer the phone and their voice mail is not full. This company prefers to handle business matters through email and this is not convenient when you need a direct and prompt response. I encourage you to call, leave voice mails if you can and email daily until you receive a response. Momentum will not remind you nor advertise the “cancelation notification” to the same email address payment reminders are sent as the summer months approach. In fact, I was told by the individual who I was finally afforded the opportunity to speak with, that this is not advertised. Her words, not mine. The only notification I received were constant lease renewal reminders for the following school year and payment reminders; reminders that equal to money in their pocket. They will not skip a beat to provide these notifications. Quite honestly, you will want to flag your inbox for spam due to the frequency. As of May 8, 2018, according to the lease manager if you provide verbal notification on or before their “cancelation notification deadline”, they will “work with you” to carry out your verbal request. Unfortunately, I did not receive such notification. I was told that this was sent out to the student. It’s quite puzzling how I receive the money gram reminders, but apparently the student was provided notification. Also, itemization of payment made does not exist within the same site you make payment towards. During the course of the Fall/Spring 2017/18 school year, my student was “fined” for an encounter that was based off a RA’s encounter. I was not present to attest for the what occurred and can only go by my student/child’s encounter. To the contrary, the staff were also not present to attest to what occurred and fined my student based off the RA’s encounter. Rest assure, the fine is quick to be accounted for on the unitemized payment portal. There is no method to plead your case, no means to defer payment by alternative solutions other than money from your bank account. The staff is quick to point out terms of the lease by memory that are associated with money due however when it comes to the terms they are held accountable for (such as maintenance repairs) memory fails. Outside of the staff, I would be utterly shocked to find any parent or paying student that advocates for this residency. Do yourself a favor, skip the headache and put your money elsewhere.
