My family and I were on vacation from Indiana in Port Aransas. Our A/C went out a couple days after making the first 1500 mile leg of our trip. There is no mechanic we could take our Sequoia to on the island so we had to look on the mainland in Corpus Christi. Performance was instantly who we wanted to go with just based on reviews alone. I called beforehand to make sure a 40 minute drive up there would be worth our time. I talked to Benny who assured me they could figure it out and would look at it. He even let me know up front that A/C components take a few days to get in so it may be a day or 2 until we could drop the truck off for work. He found the compressor locked up and let me know what components they would need to replace and then got me a quote for the work. The next day we got a call that they had found the parts for cheaper than they originally thought and were able to get them in a day early so we were able to bring the truck in a day early for them to get started. The next day they let us know there were a couple snags in the plan and therefore a few parts that would need replacing just as peace of mind for them and us on our 1500 mile trip back to Indy. Unfortunately those extra repairs were going to take an extra amount of time to get done and it didnt look like the truck would be done that day and we had to be out of the condo we were staying in by 10AM the next morning. But Benny came through again and talked with his guys and figured out a way for someone to stay and work on the truck to get it done after hours that night. We picked the truck up that night at 7 after they had closed at 5:30 and Benny was there by himself to take payment and give us the keys. He also explained the extra cost that came from the extra parts they had to replace. We made it back home to Indiana safely and with air conditioning. It was a very expensive and unexpected cost for us while on vacation but they guys at Performance went above and beyond for us to be back on the road safely. We cannot express enough how thankful we are for the work these guys did to make sure our truck got fixed on time and correctly. Benny even texted me at home to make sure everything was still working as it should. This is an example of how an automotive shop should be. I cant recommend them enough and only wish that we lived closer to utilize them more. Thank you guys again!

Took my car in for an ac diagnostic. I thought it needed a major repair but these guys looked it over, vacuumed and charged my system. Now it blows icy cold air for a standard recharge fee. Honest, experienced and well seasoned guys here.

I took my daughters 2015 Buick Encore because it was leaking oil from timing cover gasket. First of all it was done right and second of all they were fast. Took it on a Tuesday got called Thursday that it was ready. Definitely recommending and this will be my go to place going forward.

I showed up and left my vehicle with them to get the brakes fixed. Frank took over and did a great job in getting the brakes, rotors, and calipers replaced. Truck is braking smoothly. Finally, I want to recognize Benny for being professional and humble. If you need honest work take your vehicle to them.

I needed my car inspection and my horn quit working. The mechanic had my horn working within an hour! I was so grateful that they investigated the problem before doing costly repairs. I definitely recommend this business.

The first time at Performance I was given a diagnostic on our vehicles. I liked that, because the report showed me how each vehicle was. I am trying develop a repour with one auto mechanic place. Its like visiting a Dr. they get to know you and will help take care of you. Well that is what I wanted with our vehicles.

Anyone who drives in S. Texas knows the value of a properly working AC system. My AC stopped working correctly. Not an issue. I just headed to the guys at PAT. As always, I was greet with a smile and a friendly handshake and was told No Problem. They took the keys, drove the vehicle into the bay and went to work.While there, I ask them if they could install new plugs and wires. They said of course and continued to work. Within a short time, they had the job done. The key issue here is that I had no appointment, but, they took me straight it.Now I drive with nice cool air and a truck that does not have a miss. Vehicle running like a new one.So, if you have an issue, let the PAT guys take care of it. You will not be disappointed. GREAT JOB !

These guys are awesome! They provide friendly, thorough, and timely service! I called from out of town to have a third party inspect a used car that I was interested in (and ended up buying). The inspection done by Performance Auto Tech (PAT) identified an issue with two of the tires, so the dealership replaced them at no cost to me. If I didnt call PAT, then I would have likely bought a car with two problematic tires, which the technicians at the dealership overlooked and I probably would have overlooked too. These people are awesome! My car (Toyota Prius) had to be towed there because Pep boys couldn’t install a 12 volt battery properly! They messed up my entire computer system, the car was unable to be driven because of hybrid failure warning light.. They were fantastic and had me on the road in no time AND at minimal cost. Pep boys will be paying my towing and repair costs! I highly recommend Performance auto tech. They’re highly skilled, reliable and honest.

Exelent , very informative, friendly and polite. The service was fast. The price lower than competitive and much lower than dealerships prices. Benny the owner is a very honest man and that reflect on his crew, Johnathan the mechanic that changed my alternator did an exelent clean and fast job and in the end changed a tail light bulb that was not working properly without charge. Guillermo in the office was very friendly professional and knowledgeable about his job. This may be kind of long, so please bare with me. I normally dont write reviews, but Performance Auto Tech was probably the best shop that I have done business with. Here is why.. I drive a Nissan 350z. The previous owner had lowered it without replacing the OEM control arms/ camber kits to adjustable ones. This caused my car to have negative camber, causing excessive wear on my tires and improper alignment. I found this out after getting an alignment done at the dealership. I originally took my car to AAMCO (because it was close to my work and I thought it would be convenient... well I was wrong). I told aamco the situation and was told to bring it in. Long story short, they had my car for 3 DAYS and had horrible communication. i constantly had to call and check the progress of my car. They argued with me that everything was fine, that it was just a bad alignment (which I knew the alignment had been done correctly). So, I brought it to Performance for a second opinion. I brought my car in about an hour before closing time. What took aamco 3 days, took performance 45 mins. Raul took me into the shop and showed me the issues, which was in fact the control arms/ camber kits and both back tires had excessive wear. He also allowed me to check out a few things myself while I was able to get a good view of the underside of my car. Raul explained to me what my options were in get great detail and what would be the most affordable option to go with. (buying new spring and struts to lift the car back up or camber kits) After the parts came in, I dropped my car off first thing in the morning. Raul personally gave me a ride to work (which not many shops will do). Throughout the day they kept me updated on the progress. At about 20 mins to 5 (their closing time) Benny called me to let me know it was done and ready to be picked up. He stayed after hours just so i could get my car that same day. All n all they are fast, friendly, they will work with you to get the job done and done right. They went above and beyond great service. I will definitely be getting all of my work done here and recommend using them.

I took my car in because the check engine light said it needed an oxygen sensor. After they did that they found something else that was wrong with my car and fixed the root of the problem. Although my repair was more expensive because of that they were honest with me and finished the job in time for me to make it to work. These folks care.
