Very nice and clean haircut. But $30 for a kids haircut.... thats a bit much. It was just a skin fade. Nothing to crazy.Responding to owner:My son didnt get a haircut from a female and he didnt come in to get his haircut fixed. We went in on 7/16/21 at 2:30pm. I really liked the haircut. I just wish the barber wouldve mentioned that a skin fade was more, because hes the one that recommended it.

Forget this place! You will sit there forever and they will help their friends first. They definitely help their friends first. I waited for over an hour I was next in line and then sat down their friend they knew by name right into the chair. Skipped me and 4 other people. What a joke! You have appointments so people have to pay the extra $5. They find out they won’t be helped if they don’t.

Everytime I leave here Im super satisfied. They listen and cut my hair perfect everytime without a doubt. I have never had barbers so friendly and do so well on my hair. I refuse to go anywhere else. You guys are the best

They said they were only taking walk-ins and it would be 30 minutes.After showing up and waiting over a hour and 15 minutes, I was still over 30 minutes from getting into a chair.Don’t waste your time here like I did. $30 haircuts should come with employees that can give an accurate timeframe.

Great barber shop with a classic feel and inviting atmosphere. Other than one of my best haircuts of all time, the customer service was excellent and the staff was very cordial and warm. Was nervous coming in. I had a bad experience many years ago at a fantastic Sams. This resulted in me avoiding any hair cutting establishments for 15 years. After giving myself monthly haircuts, I decided to let my hair and beard grow. It had gotten to the point where I couldn’t deal with it anymore, and also wanted to style it a bitI went in today, with a 3pm appointment with Junior. I arrived a bit early, they showed great customer service and were very welcoming.I had a general idea of what I wanted, but was open to suggestions. Junior was very helpful, and made me feel right at home. I felt like I could trust him.What a great experience. Great atmosphere. And overall great haircut and beard trim. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone and everyone. It’s worth spending the little bit extra over your great clips or fantastic Sams

Called to make an appointment for basic haircut after reading the reviews on this place. Was told there is a $5 charge on top of $30 to make an appointment to skip line. $40 for a basic haircut is a joke

Honestly probably one of the best barbershops Ive been to, biggest bang for your buck, I was recommended by my buddy Irvinn to come here, and I was hesitant on the 5 dollar appointments at first, and I wanted to walk-in but honestly wow. As soon as I showed up they took me in right away at my appointment time with Mayra and I saved a lot of time instead of waiting for a hour like I normally would at any other barber.She was super friendly and professional from start to finish, I told her the type of fade I wanted and how short I wanted it since I have sensitive skin, and normally my hair grows up pretty messed up from other barbers and it gets super irritated since other people whack me with their combs/razors/trimmers. But my hair for once grew out pretty nicely and no irritation at all (you can see from my pics.) She also wasnt overly chatty, it was just the perfect amount and listened to everything I asked her to do. My friends and family even loved my hair and noticed the quality difference too. They actually follow COVID procedures too, it was super clean!I re-booked my appointment with Mayra after I was done, she actually knows her stuff and for once the barber actually listens to the client, no wait time because of the appointment and my skin and hair on point too,AND THEY GAVE ME A BEER!!! Life changing lolGlad I took the chance and came in, thanks American Barber!

Covid season and hubbys hair and beard is growing out. Called around and this place accommodated us right away. The place is clean and nicely decorated. The haircut and beard trim was awesome. The barber listened to my husband, he made suggestions and the result was perfect. Hes been going back since.

Super friendly and do their job well

I have been going here for years, with mostly great service, but on my most recent visit all I asked for was a fade on the sides and back, but what I got was a strait cut all around. Many of the niceties that they usually provide were withheld, and to top it off I was up-charged at the register.While I have a pretty good history with these guys, I will not be coming back.

Ive been a A.B.S. customer for over 4 years. And I too have waited a little over an hour to be seated for a haircut for my boy and myself, but that is normal for a place who does a great job! As for those who are complaining when they say the barbers have friends coming in and being seated before other customers, keep in mind these are also customers whove made appointments ahead of time who know how busy this place can get! I too have made appointments and it does beat waiting around a 1/2 hour or more. Ill bet my money on that all the negative comments made here are from impatient first timers who expect to Get in, sit down, and go! In a perfect world that would be great! But its not. Thats my personal experience and my opinion, also if you dont want to wait too long get there early, sign in, get your cut and enjoy the rest of your day! or make an appointment and later read comments left by the haters wholl call you a friend of the barber because they sat you down before all else whove been waiting LOL! Decent prices, good cuts as far as I can tell. Mine is a buzz cut so not much of an example, but the straight edge shave neck and beards if wished. I definitely like a couple of the guys better than others. They often offer a water or a beer while your waiting.A little update.I have been going here for a few years now. Always wait and always patient. I had been on duty for nearly a month straight and called for a favor to be able to make an appointment. I explained my situation that I did not have the option to sit and wait that day and why. Yet after years of going I was told they wouldnt make an exception for appointments. I will not be returning.

This place is great. They cut hair really well. The lines are a bit long sometimes but its the best haircut in Corona and the staff is friendly and offers you a beer. Only place Ill go for my hair cutting needs.

Ive been going to this barber shop for a couple of years now. I dont go as often as I should but when I do get in for a cut, they do a great job. If you are looking for a place that is going to give you a great cut for cheap, this isnt that place. If you think that dropping $25 on a great cut is too expensive, you need to get your priorities straight and you dont belong in this shop anyway. Look dude, you get what you pay for. You want to look good, go here. Its that simple. You want to look like a slob or a dweeb, go to Great Clips or Fantastic Sams. The choice is yours. I choose to look good. I choose American Barber Shop and you consider doing the same.

Chill laid back barbershop. Really great atmosphere and the barbers are all very skilled and supper friendly, fells like a bunch of friends just hanging out. Get here early or make an appointment because the wait time can be long sometimes.

The shop is nice but I have to say worse hair cut ever I walked in straight to the chair that was nice but 2 hrs for me and my one yr old come on did not fade my sons hair right I asked for a low fade I walked out with a high fade I always take care of my side burns and with no regard or even asking he starts trying to remove them so I pulled away and told him they stay I might go back but not with that guy a good barber asked step by step and offers a warm shave even more when I took off a five month old beard dont know his name but I know he said he was a seaman if you know a good barber there anyone please tell me to go to him

It was okay. Only the guy was cutting my hair was kinda mean. When my haircut was done he got the mirror hit me with it. I didnt say anything because the guy was on crutches. Didnt want to say anything bad to him. But overall it was good but only that guy that cut my hair was mean.

Waited over an hour for a kids haircut and there was a rude barber that said I had to wait longer and had to remove my grandson from barber chair. If he spoke politely it would of been fine. But rudeness isn’t how you treat a customer.

They take their time and do a good job which is why the lines are freaking crazy and they are expensive. You have to find a good time to go. Steer clear on Friday afternoons and anytime on Saturday or your looking at least an hour wait. My son and husband both like it here but its a rare occasion that we will take the time and money to get it done at this Barber shop.

Says Walk Ins Only. Nice to wait 2 hours and watch all the barbers friends walk right in and sit in their chair and be out in 30 minutes. My barber also spent a little over 10 minutes to cut my hair, no attention to detail. Very disappointed considering waiting so long. Rather go to Great Clips. Never going back.

Went in with one of my brothers, one of the greatest barber shops ive been too period. Friendly staff, an each customers haircut shows the knowledge the staff has. All in all, really good place.

I highly recommend Victora! She’s a genius with the clippers! She has been cutting my hair for a while and im impressed every time, she hands down does some of the best Tappers and fades in corona! Check her out!

I waited over an hour to get my hair cut and the barber I had did a bad job. I should have seen it coming since the customer before me had an awful cut from the same barber. I spent a good half hour crying when I got home because of how much I hated it and ended up shaving my head the next morning. $21 for a bad hair cut

Took my 16 yr old son in for a hair cut. He tells the barber he wants #3 guard on top and 11/2 for sides. The barber didnt use guards and did a cappy buzz. Crooked neck line and no clean up around face. My son paid $15 plus $5 tip=$20 for a buzz my son could have done himself. My husband took my son back and NOW he has the shortest hair fade. The barber charges $6.00 more for fade. That is some BS because he couldnt understand real clipper guard numbers, so you dont use any guard and do your own thing? OMG my son is in a Quinceanera this Sat and he looks like he is going to boot camp. That barber butchered all my sons waves. We have never had any problems before this SUCKS!

Has a nice atmosphere...but walk in and im told to put our names on the waiting list for me and my son which is reasonable, while waiting i noticed the barbers friends just walked in and didnt have to write their name on the list and get seated and hair cut immediately..in all ended spending a hour and a half waiting,didnt get a haircut for my son. It was a dissapontment and a waste of time, had high hopes.

Best barber shop in the IE. Thats the only reason why the wait is always so long however its worth it and the results dont dissapoint! Its the only place Ill trust with my hair within a 30 mile radius. If you like having crappy hair and no friends or chicks, then Fantastic Sams or great clips is right for you!

Worst customer service and poorly managed. They claim to not take appointments on weekends, I showed up on Sat morning and was third person on the list with four barbers working and was told that the people that came in 15 minutes after me were next because they had made appointments. The barbers are young and immature, they have loud and disrespectful conversations with no consideration to children and women in their shop. A disgrace to the community but a perfect place to be part of a mayhem environment.

Ive been going to ABS for years, ive sat in every chair, and had a cut from every barber. Ive always left completely satisfied. Ive made Mike my regular barber, and every time im in there, im treated like family. Very friendly place, great customer service, atmosphere, beer and music. What more could you ask for...

I show him the hair cut for my son and asked him to please not to do bowl cut! and thats exactly what he did! I asked him when I saw how much he was cutting, thinking he was mistaken, but he said no, is just that his hair is too long ! My son was crying all the way home. He is very upset.And the barber blame my son before I said anything he said, my son was moving to much and my son was falling asleep.Yes some are friendly but the one we got☹️
