Interested in renting a boat for a few hours. Call to reserve, we were told to just come and they would take care of it when we arrive. They mentioned the boat would have to be returned by 4:30pm. So we arrive at 2:15 only to find out you have to sit through a class and watch a video, then it would take them some time to prepare the boat. All of which would inevitably leave us maybe an hour on the boat before having to return it? Not worth it. Poor communication on their part. Also the place is difficult to find. The marina is further away from the lodge where you have to fill out all the paperwork. Poorly planned and not well thought out. Would suggest some place else.

Lots of room to launch your boat. Theres some beautiful scenery in the park but the boat landing is a little hard to find in the dark if youve never been there.

What amazing customer service, everything from reservations to check-out on the pontoon rental was a pleasant experience. We did have an issue with the pontoon having some old gas in its lines but the responded and corrected the issue in a timely and professional manner which made it bearable and they seemed genuinely apologetic for something they cant control. Any boat owner knows it happens from time to time.

My husband and I brought his grandmother and Great Aunt to lake Blackshear as they grew up on the lake here. My husband went down to the marina right after it rain and they told him they werent renting the boats out in anymore because of the storms they saw on the radar. About 45 mins later I decided to call and see if they were renting out anymore today because the sun was shining and the skies were blue. The lady who answer the phone at the marina said they were all booked up. But when my husband was down at the marina they told him they had boats to rent out but because of the storms they were done renting out for the day. The lady on the phone couldnt answer my question when I call her out on phone ask why when my husband was there they said they had boats to rent but it was raining.She very rude and we will not be coming back. I cant stand when someone who lies to me .

The folks here are so friendly and accommodating. Its a place to get your family and/or friends out on the water and make some memories. Stunning beauty, reasonable boat rentals, world class dining.

We did a boat rental here. While the people and facilities were very nice, the actual boat I dont think did more than 10 miles per hour and the radio didnt work. It was still a very nice day out, just left something to be desired.

Busiest day of the summer and the marina manager is fussing at customers telling them she wishes they would shut the place down. Terrible service!
