Ive been to Lowes so many times that it feels like a second home! The staff are highly knowledgeable no matter what you are working on. The store is easy to navigate. If they dont have the supplies you need (very rare,) it doesnt take them long for them to have something ordered here! Finally, the team are honest, they never felt like a used car salesmen trying to push their services on me, but they still made sure I was aware of what was offered if I was interested.

I was helped today by a very nice young man. His name was Tim but it was the one in lumber department. I had no idea what I needed, and before I left the store, he made sure that I did have exactly what I needed and Im so happy with my purchase. Thank you Tim for your time and your kindness.😊❤️

Had a set of dining table and lost all hardware for chairs on our move. The guy working there helped us with the one chair we brought with us. Now all family enjoying dining together.

They wouldnt sell the display so I had to take a more expensive alternative that didnt match what I have. It would have been nice to get exactly what I wanted. But 4 star cause I still got what I needed. They were nice an let my pregnant wife use the bathroom as it was being cleaned.

Nice store easy entrance and exit, they need more helpers in the store. Checkout went really quickly so thats a huge plus. Always clean and neat but were out of cart wipes which seems to happen fairly often unfortunately. They always have what I need.

We needed wiring and conduit for our house. My husband and I were directed to Steve in plumbing. The manager was very nice and found Steve for us immediately. Steve went above and beyond helping us get everything we needed. We are so thankful for the awesome customer service!!

I went to Lowes also today dont try and buy a screen there because no one knows if they have them. One girl helped try and find them even called and no one answered. I was there about 20 minutes I had another girl try to help but no screen. The employees were very nice but not cross trained.

I would give this place a five-star service if the associates would ask you what youre looking for as you see them sometimes it takes a while to find an associate other than that the service here is excellent and theres enough cashiers where you dont have to wait forever Yahoo

Great experience on this trip.Ive had issues now with their extended warranty program on a dishwasher. Its leaking now and I cant seem to get help for it. Most of the people are knowledgeable.

First time through self checkout I needed with an item and I did not wait longer than a minute. Very good customer support.

We purchased countertops from Lowes in Coralville, Iowa and had them installed by one of their suggested installers. When the countertops were installed, the installer did not consider that the dishwasher wasn’t hooked up yet and jammed the dishwasher in so tight and awkward, that we couldn’t get it out from underneath the countertop. Yet another thing that the installers did was set the dishwasher up on top of it’s drain hose which then punctured, as we tried to get the dishwasher out thus leaking stinky water all over behind the dishwasher that we couldn’t get cleaned up. Our kitchen was quite smelly for a while as we had to wait for the stench to go away. During the last year plus, that this has been going on, we have made numerous calls and have sent many emails to Lowes and while they have been responsive, they have still not come through with getting this fixed. They are a master at stall tactics. We have been promised calls from the countertop company and they are just not coming. We are getting the run around from Lowes and that’s, sad to say, caused us a lot of grief. They should fix the problem that their installer made instead of trying to hide from it and hope that we will go away. While Lowes may be considered a good place to shop, be very wary of their installed services program and the store’s management should you run into a problem. They don’t seem to be too concerned about the customer once the money is in their bank and they do not want to make things right.

Ordered 1 custom countertop and calling it custom is a bit of a stretch considering only 23 needed a backsplash that was it for the customizing. Went to pick up my order on the day I was told, to find out that my order, without ever being contacted about it changing, had been canceled and reordered and wouldnt come in for another 2 weeks. I already have tile guys at my house that are not going to wait 2 weeks to do the backplash. And now today is said pickup day and I just sat on hold for half an hour to talk to customer service, which Is another term I would use lightly. This little piece of coutertop is gonna cost me the same as the rest of kitchen!Update: on July 21st I received my countertop finally, and I am expected the attach the backsplassh portion to the counter myself! Why the hell did I pay $700! HOPEFULLY its just Cedar Rapids and Coralville that provide this terrible of service and communication. What a joke!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Terrible customer service. Manager Ira wouldnt even come to override a price change after being repeatedly called for over 10 minutes. Pallets of stuff in half the aisles, couldnt get a cart through. Went to customer Service and asked to talk to a manager and they had conveniently just stepped out service is always this way there, which is why we avoid going there if at all possible.

Lowes had a wide selection of items, but customer service was practically non existent prior to reaching check-out.

We had the BEST experience at Lowes in Coralville IA. Our Black and Decker weed wacker died under warranty so we returned it to Lowes for replacement. Long story short, Black and Decker gave us a total runaround with the return authorization. The Lowes folks saw how stressed we were and took care of the situation completely. We love Lowes shopping for great products and customer service like this!!

Younger gentleman helped me sort through maple plywood and offered to cut it. Very impressive and friendly help.

I have to go public with this. I make my money to support my family by doing painting landscaping and auto mechanics. I took on a painting job and purchased paint from Lowes.I was told it was the best paint to use as it had primer in it that I didnt need to prime anything and it would last. The job was done and went through the winter of 2020/2021 and the paint did not make it. The paint cracked and even flaked in certain places as if the paint had more water in it than adhesive. Lowes said they would stand by the paint when I bought it or else I would have never bought it. I brought the bucket of paint back in took pictures of the faulty paint and talked to Megan who said they would give me enough paint to fix the problem areas. When I went in to retrieve my loss I was told they do not warranty the paint that I should have used a primer before I put the paint on and gave me the run-around. I would highly recommend diamond Vogel or Menards or even Walmart for paint I would not recommend using paint from Lowes as it is completely watered-down and if anything fails because of the paint they will not stand behind it. The customer is upset Im upset and I want to take the time to save you guys any hassle from water down paint thats going to flake in one year

We’ve just moved to the area and I am not impressed with this store at all. One older gentleman told us all screws are self tapping (they are not). When asking location of specific items, the 3 employees standing before us didn’t know and 2 others were called until one finally knew where said items were located yet still had to search around. When I called the store to ask if you cut wood for people, it took me 4 attempts. First time I was hung up on without even a hello, second time the phone rang and rang and rang until I hung up, third time I kept getting sent back to main menu, 4th time I was able to actually speak with someone to get my answer (no, you do not). I am disappointed in the quality of service and knowledge at this location and it’s unfortunate because it is conveniently located close to our home. We will be looking to shop elsewhere.

I found what I was looking for. I tried to ask for assistance but it must have been shift change so help was hard to find.

I had to deliver a load at 9:00am, the sign says deliveries from Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm. The unloading crew showed up at 10:00am and took their time unloading. I am now late for my next appointment and they dont deserve any star from me.

The place is fine, but why is Ace the only hardware store where you can actually find someone to help you?? I am guessing training and accountability, something Lowe’s needs to think about, just saying...

99% of the time I come here I have to hunt down an employee for help. The last three times I shopped here I needed paint and was met with some of the worst customer service, including last night (2/26/2021) at around 7:45pm, when I had to ask the paint employee--who walked past me more than once without acknowledging me or asking if I needed help--to come help me at the paint counter, only to be met with a sigh and short, curt responses over the top of my questions, including I dont know. Ive only worked here a few months. Did not offer to find someone who could answer my questions or anything. Nope, just sort of shrugged and walked away from me. Im glad Lowes supports veterans, I guess, but this veteran will never go back.

Worst costume service out there called two weeks ago about returning x-mas lights that all broke. I had purchased the lights 20days prior, was told I had 90 days. Which was a good thing cause they were on the roof of house with snow covering it. Got there today and was told they couldnt give me my money back cause they were seasonal and they quit taking x mas stuff back 12 days ago

We frequently visit this excellent Lowes store in Coralville/Iowa.Said store has a strict mask mandate; Johnson county where the store is located has a mask mandate too.Today (2-20-2021) is the second time we recently encountered individuals (more than one as a couple or a group belonging to each other) shopping in the store blatantly not wearing masks. Tonight we encountered a young couple with the woman being pregnant, neither one had masks on. A third unrelated person had a mask on with his nose completely uncovered - it is noteworthy that corona viruses love to nest in the nasal passages of infected individuals.Where is this Lowes’ store management enforcing the county’s and/or the store’s mask mandate? One member of our family already had COVID last year. Our store experience in this regard is very disappointing. It ain’t worth to purchase a top fridge/freezer at this Lowes in Coralville/Iowa thereby risking a possible re-infection with one of the currently surging high-transmission corona variants - disappointed and changing our hardware store option to the Menards store on the other side of Iowa City.

Oddly enough I really enjoy coming here. I’ve been finding myself in the plumbing area and the help you get over there is great. Doug O is knowledgeable, friendly, and gives great advice. Steve was extremely helpful on multiple visits. Helped me pick a new bathroom fan, toilet, and even helped me cut a sheet of drywall down so it’d fit in my car. Cashiers and customer service has been great on other visits. Returns are super easy. Highly recommend this store.

I went in after the big hurricane like storm that hit Iowa looking for another curtain that I had recently purchased only to discovered that they were sold out. The store was crazy busy and I waited for about 10 minutes before I was able to get help. While there were people in the store shopping for items to repair damages to their homes, it made my quest for another curtain seem insignificant. However John, who I later found out was the manager on duty, provided the BEST customer service. He stopped doing what he was busily doing to help me, proving that all customers are important no matter what they are shopping for!

I think we are done doing business with lowes which of course not a big deal to them. We ordered stuff from them. Delivery got messed up. When they delivered our stuff, half of it was missing. Told us to call back and figured it out. Call them three time and each time they said they will call back but never receive any call or update. Now on hold for almost 20 minutes waiting to talk to their staff to deliver our stuff that they already charged and was supposed to deliver 2 weeks ago. Delivery staff are rude!!!!

The customer service i recieved there was amazing they knew there stuff and i didnt have to wait in line at all.

Only complaint is things are out of stock for quite some time before anyone orders more like if I go by a specialty nut or an aluminum bar and its the last one it will be the last one for months on end.

I use to work there and enjoyed working there. But recently (a few months back) I was in there shopping for lumber (Im a part-time builder) I seen a former manager Sue who use to work in garden area, she was cleaning in lumber. She is a super nice lady to work with and a really great worker. I was shocked they demoted her, what a bad decision. I asked her why she was in lumber, Sue didnt even really complain she just kept busy working. After talking to a few other people I found out she was demoted for poor department/store numbers, once again corporate making bad decisions. Maybe they should interview people who are working there, no one ever says anything bad about Sue. I definitely dont believe it was due to her work or management that numbers were down. She is an awesome worker and coworker. Im not sure if she is still there, havent been in there due to covid-19, if she is still there management there needs to respect her and give here a better position that pays better. Like one of the stores best workers and was there for like 15 plus years. Quality

Although they did not have the hot water heater that we went there to get. They did give us a 15% discount for our troubles. I found them to be very helpful, and courteous. And the discount satisfied us.

I really liked on how organized they were during a time of need during this horrific storm that passed through iowa. I understand that not everyone had gotten a generator or chain saw and they did the best they could. I want to shout out to all the employees that were working. I hope they get praised for the hard work they done during this stressful time. All of the employees had a positive attitude. GOOD JOB!!!!

There is a good selection of different goods. They offer a price match with local stores. The staff are extremely helpful before you made any purchase. Situation changes if you already placed an order and waiting for it to be delivered - they stop being so helpful.

As a building supply chain store i was totally disappointed today. Went online to order an item from the moline Illinois store. It said that this store had 2 of said item in stock so I purchased it. When I got to the store to pick it up I was told that they were out of stock. I then called the Galesburg Illinois location after checking online and if had this location having 3 in stock. This time I then called ahead and would you believe it, out of stock. I then checked the Burlington iowa store, 2 in stock . Called and was told they would call me back . No call back. I then checked and called the Coralville iowa store, 3 in stock. Called and their inventory was actually correct! So after what should have been a 2 hour and 75 mile trip ended up taking 7 hours and about 300 mile trip to get this item purchased. I will be limiting my trips to Lowes to a last option from now on!

Went to find a refrigerator and found a good deal on a clearance model. Wife wanted and we was ready to buy. But was told we had to haul it ourselves, no problem needed till next day to line up a way to haul it home. We was then told no, had to take home now, can maybe give us 2 hours. So came back next day with borrowed trailer with intention to purchase if it was still in store. Was happy to see it was still there, BUT on it was a sign to hold for 24 hours!!! When I checked with associate working dept., she looked it up to inform me it was sold and being held!? She was very helpful to include to reduce cost on other clearance model (that was too large for our kitchen). So I do not blame her, but this store policy to make up rules depending on if they like customers or not? Anyway towed trailer to Scratch and Dent on Center Point Rd. And found a better deal anyway, even helped me load up. They will get 4 stars from me!

WAY better power tool selection than Menards. They were also able to special order of Veluxe skylight to replace the old one that had failed, where Menards said that size was not even available?!? Customer service area is a little confusing and tight due to covid.Buying appliances here is difficult due to chronically understaffed counter and lots of people wanting to buy?

I ordered an $800 freezer and had it delivered. When the delivery guys showed up they said they could fit the freezer down the stair but it would be a tight squeeze so I asked them if they could take the door of the freezer off and take it down in two parts they said no and ended up damaging and denting the freezer and wall because they dropped it at the bottom of the stairs. I contacted the delivery manager who said to send pictures of the damage and that they would get back to us, it was been 5 days and they still haven’t contacted us. If I could give them no stars I would.
