Website said that it was open until 9:00 p.m. . I arrived at 8:30 and the lights were still on, but employee told me that it closed at 8:00 p.m. and I would have to come back the next day. I went to get groceries across the parking lot at the Hy-Vee grocery store and the gentleman was still in the parking lot at 9:00 with the lights still on so obviously he just didnt want me to vacuum my car out

It did a great job cleaning, but missed a couple spots. For the price, I’d say it did a pretty good job though.

Paid $18.00 for a diamond wash and rain-x. Actually looked at the car once I got to Wal-Mart. Pitiful to say the least. Soap residue and streaking left all over. Dirt all along the passenger side. Scratches that I had never noticed previously, cant say they happened here for sure, but heard some suspect sounds as I was sent through.

Always excellent. Great customer service. They do an awesome job doing a pre wash before going through the actually car wash. This is by far the best car wash Ive ever been too and Ive lived in 6 different states.

My car always looks great when I visit this car wash. I only wish there was one closer to where I live, on the northeast side of town.

I just got out of the car wash - yes I know it’s raining, but I wanted to get all the dead bugs off my front bumper and side view mirrors. Normally my car looks great after a wash, but this time was terrible. I’ll have to wash my car myself from now on. There were literally no other cars in line so I didn’t understand why they rushed and I barely had a chance to tell them what service I wanted before one of them yells at me to turn off my wipers. I just pulled in and haven’t even stopped yet - you’re not busy, chill out. As if that wasn’t off-putting enough, I get to the gas station - a block away - and see that ALL OF THE DEAD BUGS ARE STILL COVERING MY BUMPER AND SIDE MIRRORS! I am so disappointed. I’d been a customer of Westport for nearly 10 years and after this experience and a culmination of others, no more. $15 completely wasted. I have photos too, but it’s not letting me post those.

I stopped here to get the salt and road grime off of my truck. The guys working here did a nice job of getting all of the ice out of the wheel wells before the automatic wash takes over. Its also reasonably priced. I would recommend taking cash to pay.

Excellent service and a thorough wash for cheap. The diamond wash (includes everything) is only $13. For a touchless wash, the system does a great job cleaning the car, especially those pesky bug guts. Not as good as a professional hand wash from a detailing service, but top-notch for a drive through wash. Definitely recommend.

I went to the car wash in Coralville 2 weeks in a row. Each time I was yelled at by the kid directing my car in. I had not received my credit card back after paying and yet he was yelling at me to pull my car into the building where there was water spraying all around. Worse part is my car came out with standing dirt on the tailgate and the windshield.I called the owner to let him know that his staff was very disrespectful and that the car came out dirty. He called me back and said this should be a life lesson for you to be more tolerant of car wash workers.Needless to say this car wash has rude employees, an extremely rude and disrespectful owner, and they poor work. I would highly recommend not going to this car wash.

Dont really do this or feel the need to do one. But if I pay EXTRA to get my entire car washed and they do it but my car comes out dirty from the back still, makes you question of how good of a job they did for them to miss the whole back side of my car. Really disappointing and waste of money.

They do a good job of cleaning your vehicle before the actual wash begins. Then you go through the wash leaving your vehicle clean and ready to go.

Came here because they always did a good job in the past, well this time I have some mud on my mud flaps and had to pay the extra charge which was fine as long as it got clean. This will be my third time going through and can’t seem to clean the mud flaps and wheel arches. And as I went to go for the third time the employees where getting mad and cussing saying I didn’t need to go back through. Because “it was clean the first time”

Definitely one of the better car washes in the area. They do a manual power wash before hand to get all the bird crud and dirt off your car. Kinda of pricey for their basic wash, but if you tip they will give you an interior wipe cloth and spend extra time power washing your car before going in.

Westport is definitely the best car wash in the Iowa City area, and probably one of the best car washes that Ive ever used. They dont do interiors but do a very fine job of scrubbing and jet washing the dirtiest parts of your car before you go through the automatic wash. Very clean and reasonably priced.

They do great work and take take the time to make sure its spotless but not without complaining. My work truck gets pretty muddy and they charged me more than the most expensive wash which is fine but as they were cleaning I could hear them complaining that I shouldve paid even more.

Visiting family from out of town and my car was caked in bugs. They got the vast majority of the bugs off which was to be expected considering how caked on they were and that this is a touch less wash. If you have wide wheels its kind of a tight fit in the channel but my wheels came out unscathed. Parking lot was dirty and full of garbage.

Great place for a quick vehicle wash.

Left with some windshield damage.We went through the car wash yesterday evening (around 6pm, 03/26/2019) and had our windshield glass chipped.We paid for the most expensive diamond wash with cash. After arrived at the entry, one crew member in the facility threw the cleaning squeegee or mop and banged our windshield pretty hard. Then he started to randomly move it on the glass for less than two seconds and left as nothing happened.We were initially shocked by the bang since it was too loud and didnt realize what happened for a second. Its understandable that sometimes people can rush on this sort of task. But the bang was like a direct hit with a metal pipe (definitely not cloth), even louder than a small rock hitting the glass on the highway. The guy basically lifted the squeegee high in the air and then dropped it on the windshield.Unfortunately, we didnt immediately get out or made the argument. After left the automated carwash track and didnt notice any clear crack from the driver perspective, we continue to home. However, a close inspection in the garage revealed a half-inch chip on the windshield close to the roof line on the drive side, which is visible from both outside and inside. Its deep enough and can clearly catch my fingernail. Our car is a three-month-old CR-V purchased new and doesnt have much highway mileage on it yet. The chip position is located exactly at the place where the squeegee hit the windshield. So we are sure that it came from the bang.We have been at this place for carwash since moved to Coralville in 2016 and its close to our home. However, we saw clearly a huge staff turnover at this place and it seemed like each time there were some new faces.We understand hiring temp workers can reduce the owners operation cost and the accident does happen. However, at least all staff in the facility should go through proper training. The owner should make sure they are at least properly taking care of each vehicle. Were just lucky that the damage is not a crack.Update: 03/29/2019:Talked with the owner (Barry) on the phone and met with him this afternoon. He promptly apologized for the lousy job from the crew and also offered several car wash coupons.I now change the review from one star to three stars, and I really appreciate Barry’s response to my review.We will continue to use the car wash at this place, but again this sort of things should never happen in the first place.

The diamond car washes well worth it

I went there today and left mad af. This isnt the first time Ive been here but, it is the first time Ive been treated so rudely. As I pulled up an employee started to spray my front windshield with such a thick layer of soap I couldnt see out of my window. How was I supposed to line up my car with the conveyor belt that pushes the cars through? They were trying to direct me into the carwash, seemed frustrated with my efforts and even one employee hit my car with his hand twice pretty hard. Seriously, that wasnt necessary and was very inappropriate! I have never had my property disrespected like that before. I paid for a diamond wash and brush and they couldnt even get my car fully clean, it still had bug carcasses all over the hood and windshield. Ill do a better job myself next time and save my money! Dont even bother to call a manager to complain either, all youll get is a lame answering machine.

They come to my car and take my order. EASY they hit the spots that need it the most usually bugs and it comes off. Hard working guys that hustle and keep smiling.

These guys push it to the limit with the freezing temperatures. As a ride-share driver it is a real relief after some of the crud covered days of winter.

Best touchless car wash! Diamond wash is expensive but car always shines for weeks after. Vacuums are hard to maneuver through and some are broken..

The guys did a good job. I took the vehicle through the week before and the dryer on the left side was broken. When I went through today, it was still broken so I am hoping the drivers side windows and locks wont freeze shut with temperatures being in the single digits. I asked one of the employees about the dryer before I went through but he just said he hadnt worked in a long time.

They scratched my Bentley and claimed it was already there. Too bad I know it wasnt because I garage my Bently and always look at prior to going out. I have half a mind to buy the car wash, fire them all and sell the property to Hy-Vee. Loss or not. If you love your car as I do mine, dont go there. This happened in Coralville Iowa three weeks ago. Horrible service and they dont care.

Doesnt do a very good job on the undercarriage wash better off driving through a mud puddle wash your car at home the only reason I brought it here to wash the undercarriage

Not many car wash options in the Iowa city, Coralville area. This is drive thru car wash, there are vacuums along the side that you can use for extra $$.

I ordered a $12 diamond wash, but instead they gave me $10 emerald wash. They so didnt give the windows wipe that they are supposed to. They cheated costumers. The one in Iowa City at least provide honest service. Ill never go to this place again.
