My go to auto shop. They are professional and don’t scam you. They will do what you ask for and not try to do unnecessary work like other places. They listen to your concerns and genuinely care. They are also incredibly nice. Highly recommend!

I hit a ripped up tire on the interstate that dislodged my heat shield so that it was making a horrible rattling noise. Both Dana and Reese were of great help, and fit me in the next morning to reattach it. Thanks to them, I was able to continue on my trip with little delay.

When I used to live in Coralville about 6 years, this was my go to mechanic. I was in town today buying a new vehicle, and they were the only ones that I trusted to give it to me straight before I locked down on a used purchase.I dodged a huge bullet on a car that would have completely screwed me over down the line, and they fit me in to check on the vehicle I ended up with.Great crew, honest, tell it to you straight, no BS.

I wasnt at Greer, I was at my recycling business,checking to see if any large amounts of material had been stolen, after I found the entryway door,standing open, i havent been able to,spend as much time as i used to,stuff was knocked over and moved around, a couple of 55 gal plastic containers full of clean #1 cu arent there any more,i will be going regularly from now on,that was well over $$10,000.00,each one weighs over 500lbs when filled

When I heard a part of my truck rusted I thought it would cost thousands to fix. I took it to greer to get a estimate and they told me what all was bad and what needed to be replaced now and what can wait. They told me it would be a couple hundred dollars and I was in shock. They are so honest and have really fair prices. Would recommend anyone go there.

Friendly, honest, knowledgeable and just great service. Rolled into town late in the afternoon and my Jeep had some odd noises coming from the front end. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but it didn’t sound good. It was 4:30 the day before a holiday when I asked them to help me out. They had the problem diagnosed and were ordering parts almost immediately. A few hours later they called me to let me know my Jeep was ready to go.They went the extra mile to help someone from out of town when it wasn’t convenient for them. I will not hesitate to use their services again and recommend them to anyone. If you have a college student here, this would be the place to send them for car maintenance and repairs without any worries of them being taken advantage of.Thanks for getting us back on the road!

Dana is an old hand at what he does so you can rest assured everything will be done right. Very fair prices and he doesnt try to charge you for anything you dont need done. If the city trusts him with their vehicles you can too.

Dana does good work and really looks out for his customers. He uses the best equipment for his repairs, but will also use cheaper parts if you need him to. Hes flexible and a good man!

Dana went above and beyond to repair the botched job a thief made to my sons car, when they stole the catalytic converter. The car was ready within 24 hrs which I didn’t think was possible. Had Dana work on my 09 Civic and 03 Tahoe. He took the time to diagnose the problem and his prices were more than fair and not the typical gouging of a dealer maintenance shop. Dana maybe the most honest, straight forward auto shop owner I have ever met! My two boys and I were traveling across the country (road trip!). The front tire made a bad noise, we stopped and asked Dana to look at it. He took it for a quick ride, found the problem and had us back up and ready to go with a new wheel bearing in just a few hours. No gouging, just great work and fair pricing.

Ive been going to Dana Greer for ALL of my past vehicles needs after a family member referred me to him. Were talking 10+ years here. I tell every person I know that if they need something fixed, they should give him a try. Why? His establishment provides quick, reliable, and honest work - things that are becoming harder and harder to find in auto repair. Note: I actually found this business listed as Greer Motor Frame & Axle; its the same place.)My wife was in this area from out of town and had brake trouble. I blindly called several shops in the area looking for someone who could help; the first quoted $350(!) for a front brake job, the second couldnt take us for a week, the third went to an answering machine, but this one, wow. I talked with the owner, who was booked up but said hed do it if we could drop the car off for the day. Unfortunately, my wife had no other way to get around, so he made arrangements to fit in another appointment so that our car could get fixed. My wife said he was friendly, very professional, and terrifically helpful. He did a great job, for a perfectly fair price. Im so happy to have found him that even though Ill probably never need a repair in Coralville IA again, I want to make sure he gets as much business as possible. He deserves it.

Dana does an excellent job at touching base with customers as well as the repairs services that he offers. He has worked on my car three times now- and every time it has been truely exceptional work. We were just traveling through on I-80 when the bearing on our blower started to fail in sub-freezing temps. We pulled over and called Greer late on a Friday afternoon and they said come right over to have a look. Within two hours they had diagnosed it, ordered the part, had it delivered and installed it. I live in Denver and out there you just cant get this type of service where someone will drop everything to help you. Big thanks to Greer Motor! A true gem of a shop in the Midwest!
