Robertson’s design and execution of our project exceeded our expectations. We are thrilled with our purchase. Having our project built during the pandemic while we know how busy and demanding the pool industry has been, we couldn’t be happier with the process and end product.

We contracted Robertson Pools to resurface our pool and construct a retaining wall along our backyard patio. The workmanship was excellent! The construction crews were courteous and professional. Shout out to Marc who stopped by after everything was complete and went above and beyond to ensure that my wife and I were happy. Even though his team was backed up with service calls from last weeks terrible winter storm, he stepped up and took care of our pool equipment that was damaged by the storm. I highly recommend Robertsons Pools for pool resurfacing and backyard improvements!

Just be aware of who youre dealing with. They dont do their homework and they dont set expectations. The sales guy, Tony Martin, arrived at my house an hour early and was rude because I wasnt ready for him. He took one measurement and told me he could build a 5 foot pool for $100,000. He was so snarky that I asked him to leave. I called and spoke to the Operations Manager, Dave Campbell, who didnt seem bothered by how rude and ridiculous the sales guy was and told me to find another pool builder. So if you like lazy contractors, who dont do their homework and are afraid to do the hard work, you should pick Robertson pools. Otherwise, pick another builder just like Dave Campbell told me to do. Robertson’s built our pool last year. Initially things started okay, but during pool layout, A big problem was found in the design and drawings. The elevations were off and the pool was misaligned with the house. Thankfully these issues were fixed and the design corrected.Pool construction took much longer than planned. Even that was understandable, given how many pools they were building. Unfortunately, as soon as they had the last check for start up they stopped answering calls or responding to emails. I turned in my punch list with numerous items listed, and they still have not been finished after 10 months.There is tile work that isn’t up to standards. Decking with numerous flaws, and an area of drainage in the yard that pools water.The worst part is, they keep ignoring my calls and emails.I’m sad to say that I’m extremely disappointed in their customer service.

We recently had Robertson Pools remodel our pool and also add an arbor and outdoor kitchen area. Paul Geeslin and Marc Gordon were great to work with from the design process all the way through construction. We are ecstatic with the final result and it was completely change our backyard experience.

This review is due to my employment with this company. The lack of communication and changing of policy on a day to day basis is why i give it a one star. I would not recommend working here unless you wish to walk on egg shells constantly.

CHECK ANGIES LIST!! This Company lacks complete accountability, professionalism, and any type of customer service whatsoever. We spent over $250K with this company, and they refuse to address punch list items.- Our Tile Decking does not match. We raised the concern immediately when being layed in June (now october), and they still refuse to address.- Pot-hole in 1 Drain is a safety Hazard and they claim there is nothing to fix. The hole can be seen 10 yards away.- Workers caught sleeping on the job multiple times for 2+ hours - SEE PICTURES.- They do not return calls or requests... but if they want money they dont leave you alone.- Workers caught stealing canoe from my garage and fishing in the lake behind my houseIts shocking that a company like this can stay in business and definitely should not be hired for higher end work.

Micah and Colton did a great job and were really nice to work with. We did a minor remodel (fixed some loose coping stones, put a spillway topper on, fixed some grout joints and did new mastic around the entire pool deck). We didnt like the way they cut a couple of the new stones so they redid them to our liking, with no issue at all and let us pick which stones we wanted (to make sure they matched). Robertson built our pool 17 years ago and did a great job and thats why we had them back. We would definitely recommend.

One of the worst experiences/companies we have ever dealt with. They told us our pool project would take 10 weeks and 6 months later it is STILL incomplete. Our PM is almost completely unresponsive. My husband has basically taken on that role (PM) sending out check lists every week of where we are at and what needs completed. We used this company bc our builder suggested them and coming from out of state we had no idea what we were in for. I do not recommend this company. Yes, many companies are behind but at the least, find a company that will give you a planned schedule (we NEVER got that) and will communicate with you. Good luck.

Im happy for this business in being confident in treating potential customers badly. They must not need the business. The lady who answers your phones is rude and snarky. Also make sure youve hung up the phone before you start making comments about someone. Im sorry it irritated you to take my appointment so heres a suggestion, cancel it because I rather spend money with a professional company.

You have serviced our pool for over 20 years and we have been satisfied but you went above and beyond during the Winterstorm of 2021. We were up and running after damage within a week -you rock!! You have never disappointed !

Robertson Pools designed and constructed a beautiful pool for us, completed in November 2020. They definitely believe in service after completion too. I specifically want to recognize Micah Bolin and Robert Pickard. Micah has helped us repair a few travertine cracks, replace a step and other follow-up repairs. Micah does an exceptional job, is extremely professional and communicates quickly. Robert also respond s immediately and has helped us understand pool settings and our maintenance schedule. It’s comforting to know you have people like Micah and Robert who know their craft so well and genuinely care about the customer.

They built my pool years ago, and have always reliably resolved any issue Ive come up with over time. I trust no one else for my pool needs.

Robertson built my pool 13 years ago. I chose them because they gave me a beautiful design, and more pool for the money than their competition. They also warranted the structure of the pool for life, which most companies dont. When it came time to resurface the pool, I got quotes from several companies. I had a structural crack, so I knew Robertson would have to repair that before any other company could do the resurfacing. I also wanted to add a bench, and not all pool remodelers can do that. In the end, Robertson basically met the best price I had, so I selected them. Not everything went perfectly, which is pretty much the case in any construction/remodel project. Communication was sometimes lacking, which left me frustrated when a one week job stretched out to three weeks. When they were done, the pool looked great, but a mistake they made at the last minute left me with a patch in the wall that didnt match. They told me to give it a while to see if the color would eventually match. In the meantime, their equipment guy, Berek, and their start-up guy, Alex, showed me just how good their people are. They went above and beyond in getting my pool ready to go. But after two months, the patch was still very noticeable, so I sent an email to the owner, Ron Robertson, telling me how disappointed I was that they had made the mistake that required the patch in the first place. I really didnt think they could do anything about it, but I wanted to let him know so maybe he could ensure that kind of thing doesnt happen again. Instead, I get a call from them telling me they will come out and try to fix it. They drained the pool (promising to reimburse me for the water), repatched it, and it looks great. So even though things havent been perfect, I give them 5 stars because they stand behind their work, and their people are great.

We suffered frozen pool equipment from the terrible Texas freeze . It resulted in our having to replace our pump, heater, filter and pipes. Robertson Pools was very responsive and were able to inspect our pool within days which was amazing considering the number of customers needing their help. Robert inspected the damage and advised me of the extreme backlog on parts but told me hed do his best to get what we needed as soon as he could. In less than a week, PJ came out with a replacement pump & filter. When he fired things up, he found some other issues and needed to replumb some of the pipes and fittings. One of the fittings was unavailable and on extreme back order. JP searched high and low and found what he needed. He came back out right away and we are now up and running. I highly recommend Robertson Pools and really appreciate Robert, JP and the team for their care and service.

This was a huge project and very big investment into our home. We enjoy it year around thanks to the great job done by Robertson Pools. Aaron was great to work with, and we have no complaints after three years.

I must say how impressed I am of Robertson pools I called them and they were at my residence and under an hour resolve my issue in less than 10 minutes call back had another problem resolve that just as quick they have a wealth of knowledge nice courteous always on time highly recommend 10 out of 10

There was a mix up and I got dropped from the cleaning schedule. They took full responsibility and did not charge me for the extra visits and chemicals to get back to normal. Really impressed.

Now that the project is complete, I have updated my rating. The quality and professionalism of the team is incredible. Mark and Daniel were a pleasure to work with.

Robertson Pools is amazing and came highly recommended to me. Nick was my designer and did a beautiful design and David was my Pool Foreman. Nick and David were always available to answer my questions. David did a great job keeping me informed of what phase I was in and the timeframe that work would be done. Everyone that worked on the pool did a great job, were extremely nice and very efficient. I would definitely use Robertson Pools again if I ever needed another pool.

After a thorough process of due diligence, reviewing proposals and interviews, we chose Robertson Pools to build our new pool and are quite happy that we did. Although we had a few glitches with the design process and communication of that information to the build team, once that was ironed out, everything went extremely well. the quality of work was top notch and the pool was completed on time. We have been enjoying the pool for 5 months now and could not be happier with the final product and how easy it is to operate and maintain. I highly recommend paying extra for the in-ground cleaning system. No annoying sweeper crawling around and we have yet to sweep up a single thing from the bottom of the pool even after big storms drop debris in the pool. We would definitely use Robertson again.

Assessed several pool builders and opted to go with Robertson for several reasons. 1) They provided me with our favorite design and were great about incorporating different/key items we requested- anyone could have built the plan but this was a weighing factor. 2) Their technique for spas is second to none. No other builder had a solution like theirs for the coping hitting your neck and not only was this standard issue for Robertson but its also a perfect solution now that I have used my spa! 3) Their pricing and negotiation was fair and competitive. 4) The build process went smoothly and we enjoyed working with the foreman. He was easy to work with and easy to get in touch with for questions and needs. I felt the timing was well executed and the communication was also excellent. 5) Pool school was very very through! 6)Calling into the office for service, warranty or any general home owner question has proven to be easy- the staff is always able to advise, answer or help. The turn around time for filter cleaning, etc has been excellent as well.I really cannot say enough about my experience with Robertson. It was refreshing to have such a seamless experience after having worked with and heard about so many shady companies and contractors around the home building side. I would recommend Robertson 100% to anyone and would not hesitate to say that you will not be disappointed.My only issue was that I had a personnel problem which I contacted the office about and asked that the GM/owner contact me back. No one ever did and that really bothered me after I took the time out to reach out.

Please save yourself from a nightmare we did such a huge project with this company they took our money but haven’t fulfilled there job!!! Sales team send people out to different peoples homes to see there projects to see how good of a work has been done to get money projects but they don’t know the truth they have taken almost or all our projects money but since 2 weeks no one has shown up to finish our work and when we call txt and email they give bs excuses but I kid you not save the pain there very unprofessional The manager is the worse to work with and the director of the company is even a bigger problem he gives you reply’s whenever you email him to get the work done they give nothing but excuses and run around when you show them something is not done correctly they give lame excuses as if we are 5 yr olds and shut up and will sit down. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO A DIFFERENT COMPANY THAT UNDERSTANDS THE PROFESSIONALISM and don’t kill there brand!

We put our pool in in 2015, and have continued to use the service department of Robertson. We have had light issues since the beginning. Not a Robertson issue, but a manufacturer issue. Even with push back from the vendor, Robertson continued to help us get our pool lights back to working order. I appreciate their continued attention.

Worst service experience ever. We hired them to fix cracks in the coping and replace the caulk around our pool. They came out and met with the wife. They wrote a contract (decent price) and had to have both husband and wife sign (thats a red flag in my mind I am a service contractor and that has NEVER been done to me before). We both signed, sent the deposit and waited.First guy comes out and sprays sealant on the coping and half does the caulk. Left the few 1/8 to 1/4 inch cracks as they were. What happens when water freezes in a crack? It gets bigger.They never contracted, according to them, to repair the cracks in the coping and we had received exactly what they had contracted to do. I have never been talked to by a supervisor in a company the way the sales supervisor talked to me, routinely. I did end up after several very heated conversations get him to accept responsibility for repairing the few cracks.The next step, the pool guys showed up with the wrong color grout and filled in the few cracks. We had Dark gray filler on beige (sand) colored grout. Well, that was completely unacceptable.The next step after several more heated conversations and a site meeting was to Regrout the entire coping with the correct color. Finally, they were almost done. One more guy came out and fixed the bad spots in the caulk around the pool.The promised they would reseal the coping after the grout was done, they did not. They didnt clean the pool at all. I cleaned out all of the sand in the bottom of the pool. I will reseal the coping, myself. I certainly wont have another heated conversation with a contractor.

Robertson Pool was a big help in designing our remodel project. Any issues or concerns were immediately attended to and taken care of. Our weekly pool service by Heather is outstanding! Our backyard is now an oasis, and we get so many compliments about how pretty our pool is from friends and family!

Dave, cannot say enough good things about Tony Martin and David Saulmon regarding our pool purchase and construction.Tony gave us a competitive price and told us what to expect. He guided us through the selection process and made recommendations. Tony was very adaptive on the contract when we wanted to change accountability for the sprinklers. He allowed us to remove it, issued a credit, and allowed us to use our own landscaper. Tony said to expect 3 months to complete which is about how long it took. Tony was a professional and it showed when compared to other companies. There sales people made us feel like we were buying a used car.David kept us up to date on the crews and timing. The stone work is amazing and now I understand the time involved creating a one of a kind feature. David always responded almost immediately to our questions and always had answers. Anita was super and kept us abreast of the schedule changes. The Pool Builder app is amazing. It saved a lot more calls to David regarding the pools status.Dave, as a customer you hear horror stories about pool building and some of the Google Robinson Reviews had us worried when making our decision on whom to use. I first hired Robertson pool service to renovate my existing pool. They did an excellent job in every respect. Its become the show piece of our property. Subsequently, I have used Robertson for all pool service for the last 10 to 15 years and Ive been satisfied in every respect.

The service we received from Robertson Pools was abysmal when we refinished our pool. They indicated that we could choose the coping, but, alas, we returned home one day and they had installed what has to be the most inexpensive and ugly flagstone they had in the shop. We asked them why they didnt let us know they were going to do that so we could choose the coping. They said - call the sales guy. We did. He said call the installer. Can you say run-around? Then we say that we would not pay for that coping, so they said they would put a lien on our home until we paid. Then, when it was time to lay the concrete, their piping was red-tagged by the city. Robertsons refused to come out and fix the issue. So I had Richard Platz and Golden Pools come out and fix the problem so that the plumbing would pass the pressure test. Richard Platz and Golden Pools were amazing. Robertsons, was simply awful to deal with - we could never speak to a person that would take responsibility for helping us. It was always someone elses fault - even though whosever fault it was was in the Robertsons organization. Simply abysmal.

They built us a beautiful pool and we use their weekly cleaning service. I recommend them to my friends who are looking for pool service of any kind.

This is the kind of contracting company you fear having to deal with.We contracted them to remodel our pool and backyard. The project started in 8/2014 and is nearly finished in 3/2015. That is seven months when we were told to expect about 6 weeks.The source of the problem with them is lack of project management and a contract that permits them to be paid fully before the work is done leaving the customer with little leverage to get a job done correctly.Besides the additional damage they did to our house in the process, (a 6x4 window was destroyed and a patio demolished that wasnt supposed to be) the major delays were caused by their random appearances for work and constantly holding their hands out for the next payment. Payments were held as long as possible, because they felt they could demand the next one without actually finishing the phase they were on.Now we are arguing with them about fixing a 10 foot crack in the deck they poured. Their contract claims that is not covered under warranty. So, basically they are stating to not expect a quality job from them.Dont use this company.

I worked with 8 different pool companies, receiving quotes and designs from 7 of them. I highly recommend Robertson Pools. I worked with Tony Martin, he was up front and honest about what could be done and what couldnt (shouldnt) be done. This is important, because the more i learned about pools (this is the second one I built), I realized that companies will promise things that are not possible, or end up costing additional money once you are in the build process. The other thing that is important to note is that the vast majority of pool companies outsource/contract their labor. They have zero control over scheduling the workers and the fact that the workers do not receive a paycheck from the company building the pool has lead to numerous horror stories. 90% of the people who worked on my pool, receive a paycheck from Robertson. My pool was built exactly as I had envisioned, ahead of schedule and I am very pleased. Also, pool companies deal with all of the cities around the metroplex. All cities require build permits, and the requirements from different cities are unique. If the company you choose is not familiar with the permitting process (they all say they are) you could end up waiting 12+ weeks for permits. This happened to a neighbor, who used another pool company. We received our permits ahead of schedule and Robertson was ready to dig my pool ahead of when I was actually ready!! I had to slow them down. Additionally, the service department (routine service) has been great....very timely responses and very nice people to deal with.

We had our pool built a few years ago and I️ didn’t want to post a negative comment but want consumers to know who are interested because I‎t is such a big investment. Pool installation was great but customer service & follow up after has been non existent. I️ should have trusted the reviews before we built. Our neighbors have built pools with different companies and from beginning to end, they have experienced excellent customer service. Our next door neighbor’s pool company even helped us with issues because we never received a call or email back from Robertson’s. Both my husband I️ had tried several times to contact them. Very frustrating .

I had Robertson Pools remodel my pool and spa. The Job was never completed to the fullest and they took my money before the job was complete. Had to file a BBB complaint for them to respond to my concerns. I would not suggest using Robertson Pools for any services they offer.

Great company and Good people.

When my auto fill valve quite working, I called the service department to come out. The guy they sent said he had no idea how it was plumbed. I asked him if he could call the shop to look at the plans and he informed me that there are no plans. So, we looked for a valve at the pool equipment and there was none. Then we looked at the sprinkler system and he told me that it was tied in to that. I have never had my pool be low when the sprinklers were working. Because I asked him to fix it, he told me that it was my problem and walked off. If I could give less than one star, I would. Really wish that I hadnt had Robertsons pools build my pool now.

Tech did a good job but suggested repairs of several hundred dollars to fix a leaking flush connection. I suggested just replacing the leaking joint which he said would work. Cost $99

Save the hassle and go with a another company that genuinely cares about the the customer. I tried to have a conversation with Tony to set up an appt and all I got from him was generalities and when I pressed him for specific times, he hung up. Thank you Tony for being such a professional. You do yourself proud along with the company you work for.

I think Robertson has a outstanding product and build one of the best quality pools in the DFW market.

- Drainage design inadequate.. Run-off in pool during heavy rain. From crystal blue to mud brown during heavy rain.- Coping material is falling apart (disintegrating). Ive since learned that this is because they failed to seal it after installation.- Mis matched materials left over from another job used to try to correct drainage problem. They place bricks in a line to try to divert rain water away from the pool. It looks aweful and its a safety hazard but has helped with the run-off going into pool-Quality described during negotiations was not the quality that was delivered.- Nice Overall Design

Very impressive with the quietness of the new pumps. Looking forward to saving money on electricity.

Don’t Do Business with Robertson Pools before reading this!In 1994 I built my first pool with Robertson Pools in Coppell and it was a great experience. Based on that I have steered everybody in the market for a pool to use Robertson Pools. When I needed to remodel my current pool I naturally hired Robertson again. This turned out to be a terrible mistake.I signed an agreement on May 2nd 2011 and was told the remodel would be complete by mid June. After depositing over $4,000 the start/completion date was pushed back four times. At that time my wife and I decided to wait until 2012 for the remodel.It took three requests and a personal trip to the corporate office to get my deposit back from Robertson’s. At that time I was told if we started in January of 2012 the job would be completed in four to six weeks so on January 12th we signed another contract which was exactly the same as the 2011 contract and deposited another $4,000.It’s now August 27th and the job is still not finished.The pool leaks, the light does not work and the $9,000 plaster job looks like a cheap paint job on a used car.I tried to call Ron Robertson on several occasions but he never bothered to return my calls. He did set up a time to meet me through one of his workers but then didn’t bother to show up for the meeting.I have never written this type of review and doubt I will write another but I have lived in Coppell for over 20 years and feel compelled to warn my friends and neighbors about this experience.I am 57 years old and this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life time.
