We caught it on a good day when we took our daughter and grandkids there during their visit. Something for everybody, everything we had was fresh and tasty. Love the peach cobbler. Everybody enjoyed their meal, even our 3 year old granddaughters dinosaur!

This is one of the better golden corrals I have eaten at... So if you like this buffet place and you are in the area you should give it a try I bet you will enjoy it...

This is the best Golden Corral Im Tennessee, we eat at this one whenever we go to Knoxville from Nashville.

Overall we had a good experience. Food was pretty good. The attendants were constantly rotating food to keep it fresh which I appreciated. They also provided gloves for people to use while serving themselves. The price for 3 seniors plus 1 regular I felt like was a bit more than it should have been. 80$ and they hardly ate anything w they are older. So I felt like I was the only one who probably got their monies worth considering we can’t take food Togo.

Good food, lots of choices ( except no Grilled meet like chicken breast/ fish .

The food was good & fresh the store was very clean,so were the restrooms.The lady working the salad bar was on point! Everything was perfect.Only thing I could knock would be that there is no need for a server just open up the drink fountain.we just had water & never even needed a refill but still kinda felt obligated to leave a tip.

Golden Corral has a mixed reputation on the web. Some people hate it and others love it. The reason for this is the fact that each location in locally managed and operated. And, a restaurant is only as good as its employees. That being said, this is perhaps one of the best Golden Corrals in the country. I have eat in Golden Corrals from Virginia to Nevada, and this is the best, though the Las Vegas location comes close. If you like Buffet style restaurants, the Cookeville Golden Corral is one of the best.

Wow! This place is a bit more expensive than I expected. 2 adults, a child, and 2 drinks was $45. The food was just ok, with some things better than others. The staff was mostly friendly. Our waitress was kind and genuinely cared about our needs.The bathrooms were AWFUL! Nasty and needed cleaning and had been that way for some time based on what I seen. I did tell an employee that was in the bathroom while I was in there, but she simply ignored me .Overall experience was good, but the bathrooms were a issue.

Place was clean, food was hot, steak was actually better than I got at Logans the last time. Only suggestion is, ask your wait staff to wear mask. All the employees were very nice.

I normally love Golden Corral being a fan of their chicken but the baked and fried versions offered the night of our visit was dry as a bone overcooked IMO or old reheated, it had to be washed down dry! The place was busy so no excuse for not freshly cooked. Cleanliness could be better as well.

I have always enjoyed eating here but today was very disappointing. The onion rings were cold, the cheese pizza tasted sour, the chicken was also cold. The mashed potatos were good and the mac and cheese was good. I probably wont go back.

Pretty good selection of food. Customer service wasnt bad. Chicken 2as however dry so Ill give 4 stars. Over all was pleased

The server was terrible! Our waitress wouldnt fill our drinks so we had asked another to get us drink and she came back and told him right in front of us that we were her table. The whole time we were eating she has such an attitude. Throwing towels around, stomping, and when she walked past out table she would sigh.. i honestly dont believe she smiled once.. Normally we love it. Its an hour and a half drive for us to get there. We will not be going back to this location. I understand people have bad days but, this was uncalled for.

For a buffet its great! The water in cookeville is funky so definitely drink a soda or coffee but its a good value and the wait staff has been friendly the few times we were there.

Golden Corral Buffet is the absolute best I would recommend it to everyone very good food and they have pretty much everything you want if you leave hungry it is your own fault.

Came in with a big family for breakfast as the lunch transition was about to begin. The omelet team was kickin it, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and there were plenty of choices for the pickin, and we all seemed to eat rather well.Foods were all hot and good, and isnt it amazing when you can have breakfast topped off with a piece of carrot cake, or a slice of pecan pie?

Great place to get in and get out. We had the breakfast buffet, I enjoyed the made to order omlette and banana nut french toast! Great service.

If there is better food to be found anywhere Ive yet to find it. Love Golden Corral.

This is my dads favorite restaurant. The staff is always pleasant when I have visited and the food is tasty. The variety of food choices is really good. My kids enjoy eating here at least as much as my dad and I do.

Stopped in for lunch today it was fresh, hot n delicious. Facility was very clean and employees were very friendly n helpful. So much variety it was hard to choose.

9-08-21 around noon. Half the food i got was cold. Water tasted like dirt. Wifes sauce on pizza was soured. Fish ,chicken ,onion rings were cold. Ketchup on table tasted sour also. Build a burger was cold. On a positive note the mashed potatoes were piping hot and the ice cream good and cold .About theStaff were nice but food was sub par. For 23.?? Not worth it. I should have asked for a refund and went to cheddars.

Sue was an awesome server. Salad bar area was well stocked and fresh. Well displayed. Everything was clean.

Food was fresh and tasty. Our server, Shelby was very sweet and attentive to our needs. We hope to be in the area again one day, we would definitely eat there again.

There was a guy serving drinks in the beginning I had a Band-Aid on his thumb is no gloves on dipping it in the ice. Said something to the management he said he get back on it I went by again to see if they could maybe fix the problem and the guy was still serving drinks so that a glove on. Other than that food wasn’t that bad but the glove thing will just let an awful taste in my mouth I’ll probably never come back

We went with a very large group n not only was the food great but the pple were so helpful very accommodating.

I mean what can you say, its full of kids grabbing food off the bar and lots of dried out fries foods. Surprisingly the best part of the meal was their salad bar which was full of fresh ingredients and quite a variety of toppings and vegetables.

Went here with our granddaughter Taylor and ate buffet and it was amazing. Good food and great atmosphere.

Disgusting food, roaches and ants everywhere. Staff at the bar has a bad attitude. Ate here a year ago and it was the same way I was hoping it had changed by now . Boy was I wrong. Picture is a big roach crawling up the bathroom wall. We sat in a booth by the front window and there were ants crawling off the wall on to our table. My wife saw one of the bar staff stepping on what I assume were roaches behind the bar. Wish I could give less than one star.

Love going here when we go to Cookeville. I just wish that one was closer. Always have a great selection of food on the buffet. One of the last places with a great salad bar.

By far the best family sit down restaurant in all of middle Tennessee, the managers Luis and William Denning and there staff are some of the best you could ever imagine. These two find gentlemen have taught their staff to treat everybody like family, bravo to you guys

Best thing about the place is the options of food. Plenty to choose from for one price. My favorite is the steak it is always tender and juicy ( I usually get it medium) salad, multiple choices of a main course, had a nacho bar, and multiple deserts. Always a good choice if your not exactly sure what you want to eat.

Food gets gross after a while, claw machines work 66% of the time, half of the candy vending machines dont work without warning but the lady at the front desk gave us quarters that we lost and she is nice so other than that its pretty good

Was so busy when we arrived on Good Friday, but they seated us right away.. and the food seemed fresh. They had a lot to choose from. It was great.

Not very pleased with the food or service. There was nobody at the register. We stood there 5 minutes before we just went sat down. If we had wanted we could seated ourselves ate and left no one would have known. We did go ahead sit and after getting food at buffet someone came to the register I went and paid. The food was dry from being out to long. The rice was not cooked enough. The buffets was dirty with food spilled out or dropped. The floors had so much food on them you couldnt help but to step on it. Doubt we will go there again when in Cookeville.

Big selection of buffet food choices and well stocked even when the restaurant was really busy. The employees were also super sweet, especially the waitress that served us. Obviously the covid mess has complicated things a bit, but they did everything they could possibly do to ensure safety and as normal an experience as possible, including providing gloves and such to use on the buffet items.

I love Golden Corral but they didnt have steak out i guess its only a supper thing...can not dip your own stuff in the chocolate fountain they do it for you which i wasnt happy with no diced eggs on salad bar and the pineapple tasted like it was just shy of being alcohol

Trays were dirty, plates were dirty, tables were dirty, most of the veggies appeared to be overcooked and added to ... some looked fresh while some looked old and brown. Overall, bad experience I hope I survive without getting sick.

Food was hot and had great flavor. There were only 2 minor issues...1) Our server did not check on us for drink refills very often, and 2) when you asked for a steak of a certain doneness, it was rarely what you asked for. The flavor of the steak, however, was very good.

Prime rib is tender, but they have taken away the seafood bar

Restaurant was dirty, nobody was using gloves and food was cold. I put my hand underneath the table and it was all sticky ! Carpet was filthy ! Wont be back .. I dont need to get sick !!

These guys do a really good job. It is a buffet, so you get what you get. Not 5 star food, but for $10 bucks a head for breakfast, its pretty damn solid. People have been nice the times Ive been there. Nothing to complain about. Good roadside hospitality.

Food was delicious and service was great! Definitely eating there again! They also have plenty of glove and hand sanitizer stations, plus they are social distancing, and wearing masks. Keep up the good work.

Highly disappointed. Everything was cold and the shrimp was like chewing rubber.

Everything was good but the meatloaf you dont put gravy on meatloaf you put ketchup you need to fix it I like the old meatloaf thats what made me start going there

On Sept 7,2021 at lunch time. Food was cold and perhaps old left overs. Also ranch dressing was spoiled. I will not be back unless I have heard things have changed.

Im not sure why the Cookeville Golden Corral wasnt as good as other Golden Corrals weve visited. I think the answer lies in never eating the evening buffet, as a lot of the foods no longer seem very fresh. The variety here was also smaller than what were used to. But the staff was very friendly and the restaurant seemed clean, if not very modern.

Food was fresh and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly. We went around 4pm and it was packed.

Always good food and great service. Missed the popcorn shrimp this go round, but always LOVE the steak.

Well got to say the steaks was terrible. And u could not even ask a question to the employees because n po t one could speak english.I asked 4 diff ones where the vinegar was and they all did not understand me.Ask for a medium steak and he didnt understand.They need to go in there and check for green cards.I prob make a call tomm to see if they go ck.

First time in a restaurant in over a year. It was okay the quality of the food seems to have gone down since I was last here. They had tables blocked off for social distancing. The busier they got they kept taking up the signs and seated people down there. You have to wear a glove to get food but your allowed to stand shoulder to shoulder next to some one in line. It was crazy and crowded and not sure I would go back anytime soon

I love eating here just wish they would change the menu more. The only problem Ive experienced is the chicken liver is always cold and hard.

Typical buffet some food is old and cold and some food great and delicious just have to watch for them to change out the pans and grab the fresh stuff but over all this is one of the better golden corrals Ive been in the place is kept very clean.

All the food was just warm and the spare ribs were cold .you need to turn up your steam tables

Waitress was rude couldnt get table cleared, drink refills, after she jumped on the boy who was serving us well because it was her table. There were 5 adults 4 children

Found out that if you have water for a drink and request a milk you MUST pay for another drink to get milk.Crazy. While others had soda and were provided coffee after dinner without having to pay. Double standards. For the cost I might as well go to any of the other restaurants on Interstate Drive in Cookeville.

I travel and eat at golden corral a lot. I been to 152 different golden corrals last i counted. This GC I would say is one of the top 5. Nice plump bright green broccoli, nice fluffy fresh romaine, crunchy croutons, nice fresh hot lima beans, all of it was flawless. I literally could not find anything that wasnt top notch. Soft serve was nice and creamy not icy.... really really good all the way around.
