When my mother was beginning to slip away from me the need to find the right place for her to be sent was looming close. When I looked at funeral services near me nothing spoke out to me, and more so it worried me that someone wouldn’t take care of her the way I wanted. I had spoke Carolyn from Phoenix funeral services to just ask questions about the process, how to cope, memorial ideas. Again my initial intention was to just ask questions, but just by speaking to her if felt like family trying to help family. As I was on the phone with her I was getting messages that my mom would likely be gone very soon. So I made the decision to ask them to take care of my mom. I hung up the phone to call my grandmother who was with my mom at the time. While on the phone with her my mom had passed on. When you’re in that mindset you just feel your world shatter. Anything after that will affect you for the rest of your life.When she passed I immediately called back to speak with Carolyn again. She walked me through every step need for them to pick up her body. Once we left the hospital I was given updates to when they had my mother, to when she arrived at their location.When it was time for us to meet and plan my mother’s cremation we were able to meet the next day. When I arrived my grandmother and I met with Wendy and Carolyn together. Wendy helped walk us through any questions we had, Legal guidance, how many death certificates we needed and why. While Carolyn was able to add additional guidance, keep us feeling as good as we could about the situation, and keep everything lively. Both of these lady’s had all the information we needed and even more we didn’t know we needed. While we were talking they not only made me feel like I made the right choice but I felt like these were genuinely the best people for the job. When we left the first meeting I knew my mom was going to be treated like a precious gem.I picked up her ashes yesterday, and it wasn’t a here “you go, good bye” I was able to talk with Wendy for a while longer sharing similar story’s about life and death, we wrapped up all of the things we needed to, I asked several questions and never felt like I was a burden to them, and I felt like she would support me as a person and not just another number in the funeral home. This felt like a family helping family’s.During my time with Phoenix Funeral services. I felt appreciated and loved. I felt like my mom was treated with love and care. I never felt price gouged. I felt like even in a very dark time my family grew since working with them.Thank you Phoenix Funeral services for treating us like family.

There really is not enough good I could say to explain how incredible of a person Wendy and the staff here are. Phoenix Funeral Services were wonderful to work with. They helped me arrange for my fathers interment in a local Veterans cemetery, as I had come in from out of State and was unfamiliar with a lot of the process and not at all with the area. The cost for the services etc. were very reasonable and the subsequent information they provided was very helpful with regard to transitioning my fathers affairs to his wife. Wendy and Maria were amazing! This was a sudden and hard loss for me as it was my father. They walked my family through every step of the process and have been available for many informational points along the way. Their facility is small, however, this worked in our favor as they were the “only” ones handling my father. With large funeral homes that handle cremation, many of our loved ones are sent off somewhere else to be cremated. I am so glad that we chose Phoenix for our cremation of my father. They are excellent to work with and very timely.

Phoenix Funeral Services is wonderful and I highly recommend them. Not only were they so nice and comforting during this difficult time, they went out of their way to help us. They sat us down and went over all the different places that we needed to contact to make them aware of the death and many of them we had not thought of ourselves.
