I dont know the ladies name but she was extremely pitiful. I came in to get my belongings out of my car, my boyfriend is the one who took the calls for me about my car so when she asked a question, I looked at my boyfriend and she yelled at me and said I wasnt allowed to look at MY boyfriend and it was my decision to make. I continued to do it anyway. We are a team, decisions get made together and he always has to help me with stuff and theres nothing wrong with that. They also took forever and continued to be unpleasant.

Tracy with Steves went above and beyond to help me get an issue resolved with the dealership. They repaired my car last November, when I had an electrical issue not related to the accident they ran the code, called the dealership and provided me with all of the supporting information to get my cars warranty to cover the issue. This is the third time I have had used them and each and every time has been a professional, reliable outcome. They most definitely provide excellent customer service and did a great repair job!

Just called them to get muffler work done after seeing it on their website. The lady at the desk transferred me to the mechanic and he said they do not do muffler work after reading they do on their website. I’ve used them many times over the past 6 years and never had a issue, maybe they are under new management.

Yesterday during the snow storm my car broke down. I called all over conway trying to find someone to tow me, no luck. So I had to leave my car on the side of the road. Go back to check on it today to find it gone. City of conway had it towed and impounded. Steve auto (where no one wears a mask during the pandemic) had was the company that towed and impounded my car for less than 24 hours. I called up there to find out what I needed to do to get my car. They told me at first they coukdnt tow it back to my house because the roads were to bad.....you towed it here in the storm but you cant tow it after the had been cleared? After fighting with the rude lady over the phone she said they would tow (reminder the car wont start so all they wanted to do was rack up impound fees) she told me I needed my drivers licenses, registration, and $342. ($342 to take advantage of someone in a snow storm that couldnt get any help to take care of the situation) So I catch a ride to go pick up my car that is way out of my way. As I walk in greeted by a woman in a backroom that comes out without a mask on. I give them all the stuff they ask for then go to pay. Card is headed to the women and she tells me that they only take cash????? Why was I told this before I came all the way out here? So at this point my sister, who never raised her voice said ok, whywerent we told? The lady made up some excuse and my sister said it its fine we will go get cash and they Ill call the govenor to talk about this situation and we walked out. 30 mins later we come back with cash to get my car out, as soon as we walk in the door another blonde short haired rude lady meets us at the door and starts yelling at my sister. (No mask still) she yells are you the one that threaten to call the govenor? My sister very calmly said yes. The lady continues to yell at her telling to go ahead to call and asked if she was the owner and if not to get out. My sister say ok, ty and walks out. At this point I just want to get my car and go. The lady continues to try and talk to me about it and I told her I would just like to pay and go. (3 or 4 more people that work there walk in past me no mask) while I understand they have a job to do, its unfortunate that they would take advantage of people during a storm that the south is not ready for and change outrageous prices, not give you all the information you need to make this bad situation worst, and to put all there customers at risk during a pandemic. Needless to say I will never use this company and I will owe always recommend any that ask me not to. Worst auto center in the city of conway.

If you are ever in a wreck and Steve’s has to tow your vehicle, make sure you get all of your money out of the vehicle. My change (coins that totaled at least $10) was stolen out of my car before I had a chance to clean it out. Not much money at all, it’s just the principle. When a person is already going through a horrendous experience such as a wreck, don’t make it worse by stealing from them. Or how about, just don’t steal at all. Now, I know why the receptionist was so adamant about me giving verbal consent to move the vehicle to the other repair shop. She knew that my coins had been cleaned out. I hope the money brings you joy!

We had a heater core put in, Ronnie broke a vacuum line and my we had to take it back. Then come to find out he scratched the glass in front of the speedometer. Which did not have one scratch before we took it in! Also got grease on the seat and the seats are a light tan and were like new before he worked on it. Now after closer inspection he left bolts out of the bottom of the dash... There was also grease on the window when I picked it up.In our personal opinion, I wouldnt recommend them to anyone!

The staff was very professional and friendly! Tracy gave me a quote and then my total ended up being lower because a few things ended up not needing to be replaced. i never would have known but they were very up front and honest. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!

I was in a wreck and they towed my car to Steve’s auto center. They informed me that I would receive a call from them the next morning, never received a call. After I made my insurance claim, I called them twice to let them know that my insurance would pick up my car and tow it to a shop they work directly with. After not hearing anything back from any party involved, I called my insurance claim adjuster and they called Steve’s auto center and the lady that ended up on a three way call with us said that they had never received a call and that it was my fault because I probably called the wrong place. Terrible lack of communication on their behalf. Super disrespectful toward someone who got in a wreck and doesn’t currently have a vehicle.

If you have an option don’t choose Steve’s. My son’s vehicle was towed by Steve’s per the request of a State Trooper because his windshield was broken in an accident on the interstate outside Conway. Tow guy said it would be about $150 plus fees since State Trooper called them. It turned out to be $246 because they charged us a “storage fee” (we picked the vehicle up a few hours after it was towed) because they said the State Troopers made them “impound” the vehicle. Turns out that is not correct. Bogus fees and sketchy info. My wife contacted them to contest the fees. They refused to admit any wrongdoing and justified their “fees”. The owners can respond to this with whatever rebuttal they have, but trust me ... if you have an option and you don’t like hidden fees ... choose another tow service.

Drivers dont know how to drive just watched one come off an entrance ramp on to the interstate he didnt even look to see if the road was clear. If I hadnt of stood on the brakes we would have a collision right at that entrance ramp.

Steves Auto went above & beyond! I am from out of state and had purchased a vehicle at the local auction. I called Steves Auto and spoke with Tracy, who was very accommodating to my requests. They towed my vehicle from the auction back to their facility and performed a safety inspection. I spoke with Steve, the owner, and he is not only a knowledgeable automotive repair expert, but he was willing to assist with any and all questions I had. In our short conversation I could tell he takes pride in his business and I knew I would be in great hands. The following day I had one of my employees fly into Little Rock. They picked my employee up from the airport and brought him back to their facility to retrieve the car. Steve and his crew made sure the vehicle was safe for my employee to drive from Arkansas to Florida. Their customer service is outstanding and I will definitely be using their services again in the future. I highly recommend Steves Auto. Thanks again Steve and Tracy!

Steves Auto Center has worked on my Jeep and my Ford F250. I am a single female and want my vehicles to be road safe and well maintained. I feel very confident with Steves service on my vehicles. Several of my friends and I pull horse trailers and we want to know that our towing vehicles are road ready so several of us count on Steves. I highly recommend this shop. I am sure you could find a cheaper price for the work elsewhere, but I doubt that the service received would be comparable. I will be a customer for a long time.

I took my car in today to get the muffler and exhaust pipe welded. They had it done in less than two hours! They were super friendly and the price was less than others had quoted me. I will definitely be back for future repairs!

I had them repair my front end after an accident. They rushed the job without me saying a word & although it looked beautiful, when I got it home & popped the hood there were bolts missing, one headlight wasnt connected to anything & kept falling out, plus an unattached mystery piece that was in a spot where there was nothing before.. but it was just set in there loose! Dont know if it was mine & in wrong location or if it even belonged there. My car was a Honda Accord too, not like some unique rare care they had never worked on. I got robbed!!!

Horrible experience!!!! Paid Over 700 dollars and my car still MESSED UP!! Pulled my car out of their garage and it still had the same problem, before I pulled out of their parking lot I let them know it wasn’t fixed and they told me to bring it back the next day AND then still didn’t know the problem!! AND didn’t refund ANY of my money and I asked for receipts for the parts they put on my vehicle and the mechanic (Ron) said “ we can’t give you receipts” 🤔🤔🤬

Steves auto is THE BEST auto center in Conway. I have been in Conway for over 20 years. He has worked on every car Ive ever owned. I have had all types of service done on my vehicles. Hes repaired brakes, tires, fuel pumps, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc. He has made repairs for me when others said they couldnt do it. I would not trust my car to anyone else.Steve and his staff are very professional. They do quality work at a very fair price. His service can not be beat! These people are nothing but crooks!!! They will lie right to your face! I requested the local towing company to tow my truck after a wreck I had and next thing I know Steves has my truck loaded up. I ask him where he is taking my truck because it was supposed to be going across town. He says my inc. co requested them to take it to Conway. I go to Steves auto and ask them why my truck was taken all the way to Conway and Steve tells me L&L towing is out of business so thats why they got it. ALL LIES!!!!!! My Inc didnt know anything about it and L&L is NOT out if business!! Money hurry, greedy liars!!!! DO NOT USE Steves!!!

By far the best customer service! We continually use Steves due to the professionalism and great work. Once again today (as always) the dealership where we purchased our vehicle couldnt find a problem with a part that was under warranty. After getting the run around from Crain and being told there was no issue we immediately took it to Steves. If we were going to have to pay for the repair of the defective part the dealership wasnt getting a dime from us. In under 10 minutes Steves found the problem with the part and fixed it. They are fair and definitely care about the safety of their customers. I wish I could give more stars.

Had a motor replaced by this guy, the motor he installed was used, had less power, sounded terrible. He also told me my clutch was out, it had been working fine to that point, he charged me additional to install new clutch. I brought the truck back twice, first time he did nothing, 2nd time he changed spark plugs?? and told me I owed another 150.00 for the new plugs. I aked to see the old plugs and he refused to show me. Told me he was keeping my truck unless I payed. I was a poor working man so payed him cause I needed the truck to work and feed my wife and kids. The clutch would also never engage properly after he worked on it. I brought it back one more time, told him before he did anything I would not pay any more money, he told me he would not look at unless I payed 300 for the labor. I drove back home and listed the truck for sale as is. It was an extended cab 4x4, worth 8,000 and I had to sell it for 800. this guy is a real piece of garbage.

I have a 2004 F150 lifted 6 inches. I have had Steves do numerous repairs for me. Including flywheel replacement. I took it to Steves 6 months ago for a front hub replacement and was quoted 350$. After they went thru the front end I needed ball joints, and axle and a few other little things at a final cost of 1000$. Thing is, the truck had high mileage and deep down, I knew i would need all of that work done. I agreed and work was done. Fast forward to this morning. I was backing out of my garage and the front passenger ball joint seperated and left my frame dug into the gravel. I had it towed to Steves and he met me in the parking lot and said they would take care of it. Not only did he replace the defective ball joint but replaced the other one in case it was bad as well. Got me fixed same day and didnt cost me a dime. Great people there and they have treated me right

DO NOT USE THEM. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND EXPERIENCEHad them tow my daughters car in to figure out why it would not start. A few days later they call to inform us that the head is blown and it will cost over $2500 to repair and the car is not worth that. When we asked how much we owed him for his trouble, he said $120.00 or you could sign the title over to me and we will call it even. RED FLAG immediately! We went up there within a few hours of that phone call to pay for the tow, and let them know we had someone else coming to pick up the car for a second opinion and found that they had gone through the glove box, dumped it all out and found the title to the car which was sitting in the drivers seat. They were extremely RUDE when we paid them.Had the car towed to a different shop and they called us a day later letting us know that the only thing wrong with the car was it needed a new starter and there were parts (power steering hose and reservoir) missing off of the car, which means Steves was removing parts from the car that had nothing to do with the repairs needed.My daughter is a single mother who like most of us cannot afford to buy and new car or a $2500 mechanic bill, and these people were going to just steal her car right out from under her by convincing her it was un-fixable! DO NOT TRUST THEM we have been doing some checking into them and have heard this is very common occurrence.**** side note*** apparently if you are brave enough to post a negative review and make complaints about them they call you and threaten you. They internet stalked my profile and made threats towards myself and my work and said he would come after my cars. Shameful!

Horrible horrible experience! My car was impounded when someone other than myself was driving. I was notified of the impound@ 930 pm, I called Steves immediately and requested top go get my car. I was told they closed @530 and would half to call back the next morning, so I did. I was informed I was being charged for two days.. How on earth can you get charged for another day when they wouldnt let me pick up my car the night I called, that was beyond my control. The woman at the counter was so rude to me. I was charged $171.00 for two day storage when my car was there less than 24 hrs. They will never get my business again.

In that time period I have only been frustrated once (it was not the owners fault) and the owner went above and beyond to make the best of the situation, save me hundreds of dollars, and instill confidence in their workmanship. My wife had an accident similar to one a young college student had on the way to our house approximately 3 years ago. This experience with Steves Auto was entirely different than the one we had with a different towing company 3 years ago. The tow truck driver for Steves Auto was extremely polite and pulled my wifes suburban out of a ditch that completely engulfed the vehicle without adding another scratch and towed it to my house which is less then a minute down the road and was extremely fare in charging me. 3 years ago the college student had a similar wreck in about the same location. The other towing company told me they wouldnt tow his car to our house, said I would have to come to Conway to pick it up and charged us nearly $700 the next day. That company wouldnt take a card from the young mans father (which they normally do but in this instance decided not to) and that left me chasing ATMs to pull enough money out to pay for the vehicle so he wouldnt incur any more fees. Steves Auto experience was great!

Worst customer service ever. Couldnt find my title, police said Steves had it, Steves said that they didnt. I couldnt get a straight answer, so i called towing board and a friend in the business. This made them even worse. Turns out police found my title, I tried to even apologize about being adamant that they had the title. She (Steves wife) said, and I quote you called in the towing board, blah blah about some stuff I didnt say, then you dug your hole deep, now youre going to pay (I have it recorded). Finally chief of police steps in, I only have to pay about half, so ha! Stay away from these guys, crooked as a barrel of snakes.

Told needs new m cylinder. Brakes no good. Reverse lights dont work now and shifter says neutral when in park position..what the hell is that about???What a scam. Steves auto center is the greatest place to call if your broke down or get in a wreck.They have a towing service, Mechanic shop, and the bodyshop. I broke down in the middle of the hwy I called steves auto and they sent a tow truck he was there in like 15 minutes. the tow truck driver was very nice and very helpful. they took my car to there shop and 2 hours later they called me and told me what was wrong with it. The staff was very professional. they are very reasonable on there repairs. they had my car fixed that day. i have not had a problem since. I will be back . THANK YOU STEVES AUTO CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

RUN!!!!! DONT USE THIS COMPANY! READ > They destroyed my car when I broke down. I have a 2011 Chevrolet Volt and had a flat so I called the Roadside 800 Number and they sent Steves Wrecker service to tow the car in for a flat. After waiting for an hour and a half I called Steves Auto Center myself and Steve Gafner got on the phone and said: We will get to you when we can and if you dont like it when my driver gets there we will just impound the car! WTH does he think he is the Popo?? Anyways the driver showed up and tried to drive my car on the flatbed wrecker and ripped my rear bumper off the car!!! A BRAND NEW CAR! the driver was rude and said its not my fault that you broke down!!!!! We had to pay for my car to get fixed. we will go after him in court for the money they cost us!

I went to Steves to have my a/c repaired and they told me based on dye that I had spilled on the compressor myself trying to fix it that the compressor was bad. They didnt run their own tests to find the problem, they used assumptions. Well me being tired of working on the A/c myself, I told them Ill go ahead and have them fix it for the 1151$ they were charging to just replace the expansion valve and accumulator and the compressor. After I had asked repeatedly and you are sure this is what will fix my a/c, they guaranteed me multiple times it would. I let them fix it. Well a week later after I had the a/c fixed it went out again. I took it back in and explained what happened, they took it back, ran a test on it this time and told me that the condensor was bad. They told me it would cost me another 550$ to get it fixed. I got the a/c fixed at a nearby company called Stevens for 377$ and it has worked fine since. The condensor was bad, well unfortunately the other parts may not have been, but I have no proof of that. I took him to court over the matter and I lost, due to him lying in court about what happened. Please do not use this company and if you already have used this company, and they screwed you over, Tracy Gafner is the true owner to the shop (the person you have to file against even though her husband Steve Gafner runs it) he did this for legal reasons because of all the problems he has with customers. Good luck to your car issues, and i wish the best of luck to you in court if you must sue him over a matter.

Do not use this place. They will not only rip you off, but your vehicle will not be fixed properly, and once you take it home, more problems will magically pop up that never exsisted before. This place should be closed. Extremely rude and unprofessional. After the second trip we told them that we would come and pick it up and if they touched it, we would call the police. Got everything on recording. Seriously, go somewhere else.

Gm roadside sent a tow to pickup my 1 month old 2012 gmc seirra becouse tire was going flat , was steves towing that arrived he backed up to my truck using a flat bed tow truck, he tilted his bed , he jumped in my truck and attempted to drive my truck onto his wrecker, trailer hitch on truck lodged into the road, haulted truck , tow driver gassed my truck spinning rear tires.destoying a 220 dollar tire that could have been repaired, during allthis me mywife and our freind was standing in our front yard watching this all happen, dealership confirmed that was ruined from spinning it off the wheel . also stated the tow truck driver got engine mechanical greases all over interior of my truck. and bottom line is steves service and tow , damaged my brand new truck and deneid it completely. even though 3 of us watched it all happend . gm roadside paid me 125 to get the greases off the intior , i did take pics , do i need to walk around with a video camera from now on . carma dude carma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a vehicle towed there a couple years ago and when I called to see if it was there they said that it wasnt. The state police told me that it was there so I went up there to see and it was sitting in the lot and some of my stuff was stolen from the truck and it cost me $500 to get it out of impound after only 3 days of being there. I was pissed but I went ahead and paid the fees.

Ive had my truck there for over a month just for a transfer case and theyve messed it up so much. They got 2 before that were both broken and leaked and this third one they got was sent to Arizona. Never in my life am I bringing my vehicles or anyone elses here again.
