They are very nice and have lots of services for the community . I had to get help with my rent and food . All the food they gave me was still good , not like other places that give you expired or moldy food . The whole facility is very clean. Also the staff is helpful and kind .

I am very thankful and grateful for what this Center has done for the community and myself. Going through hard times around this time of year is something none of us look forward to and this Centre was a huge help for me and my son. Thank you so much God bless.

The people that work there are truly amazing people. They are very understanding, they do their best to help each and every person out that comes there for help. the resale shop in the back is very nice and reasonably priced items no matter what you are looking for you can find something there from an extra couple of bath towels to a piece of furniture. All the money that comes into that resale shop helps the community, so I would highly recommend anyone in the area to stop by and check it out.

Dont go here. Was denied funding cause my property management company could not produce updated W9. Said the one that was produced was outdated. Well guess what, they dont expire. They just wanted to snatch the funding. Talked to my case worker (Heather West) boss and she took her side and nobody ever told me that the property management company could have just changed the date on the W9. They just didnt want to help. What kind of charity are they running. They were more worried about documentation to advance their agenda than helping me.

I try to take my big donations here the most. The staff are incredibly sweet. Location is right off I-45 or Fraser depending on where you are coming from.

Super rude and judgemental! Asked for A HUGE AMOUNT of paperwork that I did provide and still turned my family down for help! Everyone that came in got helped, seen really quickly, but I had to wait over 2 hours with a cranky baby, made to jump through hoops, and still denied ANY kind of help. If you’re homeless, good place to go, but if not, beware you will be treated like scum of the earth for needing help.

These wonderful people made our world today🙄🙄😅😅my children felt like it was Xmas. We lost 25 years of treasures. Rescued by our wonderful Conroe Police Department from 2nd floor. But you have your lives and I pray for the ones we lost. God bless all of you but we get together as a great community and one day you can help and pay it forward like all the people that donated to them. special thanks to Chuck and all the wonderful women.😍😍😍😇😇😇😇 Angels from heaven

Montgomery County Emergency Assistance helped me about 3 years ago (2009-2010) with my electric bill. At that time you could show up any time during the day & it was always first come first serve until the money ran out for that month. I was so grateful for their help in the past that when I started working I set up a donation to come directly out of my paycheck to go directly to them ...this went on for the full duration of that employment (3 years). Well recently I got strep throat & pneumonia (twice) within a 3 month period which put me on medical leave (short term disability) which only paid 60% of my pay (about $1000 per month take home). After being on short term disability for 3 months, I was to return to work, but found out that they have the right to release your position after being on medical leave for 60 days. I am currently unemployed & a disabled veteran. So I went to Montgomery County Emergency Assistance after calling them. I was told that you have to be there at 8AM, and that they only take the first two people. I was also told to have proof of prior income, disconnection notice & IDs. I was fortunately the 2nd person there. The couple in front of me had their disconnection notice & three current pay stubs (as the husband is currently working). They were approved. Then I was called up, I showed them my last medical leave pay stubs from last month as I was no longer receiving a paycheck from the previous employer - Im unemployed. I was told that I needed proof of no income ...but they do not take bank statements. A bank statement would show that I am not receiving income other than my small disability check. The VA does not provide pay stubs for disability compensation/pension. The short tempered lady requested that I show some proof of income/no income or she will be forced to take the next person in line & I will lose my place. Long story short, because the people before me could show proof of income as the man was working & I could not ...they helped them - not me. I do not understand how they could help someone who is currently employed over someone who is not & unable to show proof of income other than a bank statement. Very disappointing. I will NO LONGER donate to them in the future. This was a very disheartening experience. =(

They are horrible and wont even help you with food. We know that their proceeds come from donations its a freaking joke they only offer snack packs that have spaghetti Os peanuPe crackers and bottle water. Not to mention the lady at the front desk is extremely rude. I will never go back and ask for help from there again.

My husband and I were in a bad car accident a month before school started. I came here for assistance for school clothes for my kids. The wait time was ridiculous and there were barely any sizes for my kids even though I told them in advance which sizes they wore. One of the volunteers there kept shoving stuff in my face and when I told him they wouldnt fit my kids he told me I shouldnt come back. Very rude and insensitive.
