First of all, this is a fantastic facility. Plenty of mat space and a full Spring Floor. Perfect for basic martial arts as well as advance extreme martial arts and tricking. The instructors have solid knowledge of the fundamentals, and are also capable of teaching and performing the most advanced combinations you will see. What ever your level, this facility is the one for you!

When I started my daughter with ATA 6 1/2 years ago it was one of the best decisions I ever made. She thoroughly enjoyed it and is now a 1st degree black belt and continues to train. Shortly after she joined I started training and then my wife and finally my son. After training for a while I started competing in tournaments and eventually started my journey to become an instructor. Im still training to this day and continue my path to becoming a certified instructor. Master Cabrera and all the staff of Winners For Life martial arts are top notch and always willing to go the extra mile for their students and parents. I will never regret the first time we walked in and all the life skills my kids have learned through the years. Thank you again for all that you do for my family and I

I decided to sign my 4 year old -preschool aged son up for a few classes of martial arts. Their business practice for registration is not good. The class registration includes a one year contract. After needing to cancel payments I was told by billing I would owe a large sum of money. I was told I would receive an email of the assessment & that’s all I got. I’ve had to request this contract 3 times since my request to cancel payments. It has just been a very long and difficult process and I feel like I didn’t hear from the office until I needed to cancel. I asked for the contact information to send in the request never got it I had to find it on my own. Never got a copy of the agreement had to ask several times. I don’t think I will sign up for this again in the future— at least not on a contract term. A long term contract for children’s classes doesn’t seem logical.

Ive been with Highland Creek ATA for about 4 years now and I LOVE IT!! Its provided such a positive outlet for me and the life skills that are taught (to the younger ones) speak to me as an adult as well. Mr. Revak, Mr. Evan and Mr. English are all excellent instructors with different talents and I enjoy training under all of them. More than anything its such a joy to see the growth in confidence and discipline in the children that train at Highland Creek.

We started my younger daughter there 2 years ago and all I can say is WOW! She has become more confident and quite the leader. All of the instructors and staff at ATA Highland Creek are wonderful to deal with and very friendly. My older daughter started there about 4 months ago and she was not really wanting to do TKD, but with the encouragement of the instructors and the other students at the school she is now enjoying classes. It has made a big difference in both of my girls. I recommend them to anyone who will listen. We are like one big family at ATA Highland Creek. It was the best decision we made for our girls.

Horrible rules. My son joined in Oct 16, of course 228/month. When we joined we were told do not worry about termination, no penalty. So we just signed the paper . My son no longer stayed interested after 2 classes. We just waited few months to see if he becomes interested but it did not happen. So we called in Dec 2016 to terminate the contract. We were told either we have to move certain miles away or have to pay few months fee as penalty. Was shocking. Tried to reach the owner, he said he can not do anything. Now I just received a bill from them yday to pay 8172$.They do not have good customer service. They like to trap people. Stay away. Find better school than it, many in Charlotte.Again I had to give one star to post it, otherwise I would not.

My son and I LOVE this place! My son participates in a lot of after school activities (baseball, basketball, piano, etc), but ATA-HCs sense of family, support and encouragement, and the teaching of lifelong skills, makes this the best activity I can give my son. In fact, after 6 months, I decided to join classes, too!

First of all we need to be clear about a couple of things. ATA karate is very expensive. It is true that they make you buy a lot of expensive equipment and they make you spend a ton of money on belt promotion which, in my opinion, happens way too frequently.that being said, this is not a traditional martial arts place. This place does teach a lot of life skills and truly does care about the kids. Every couple of months they have a new life skill they try to reinforce into the kids. I do feel that they have made a lot of headway into teaching more traditional martial arts. You have to go in with the expectation that the belts and ranking do not mean anything. it is just part of the cost structure. Mr English andr Revak are very good teachers and I think the kids get a lot out of it. If you are looking for a more traditional martial arts place you will find it difficult to find one in Charlotte.

We had a terrible experience! My autistic son wasn’t learning very much and was not happy to go but we gave it a try. We were pressured into buying the membership because they simply wouldn’t take no for an answer. The part that makes me upset is when I lost my job they had no compassion once so ever and sent me to a creditor. I submitted a medical document that would excuse us from the membership and they still put $1200 on my credit report. They are money hungry and could care less about the individual.

We have been part of the ATA family for six years now. We started in Wilmington North Carolina. A year and a half ago we moved to Concord. The school came highly recommended, and I can unequivocally state that we have not been disappointed. ATA as a family. The instructors (Mr. Revak. Mr English, Mr. Bowen, lead by Master Cabrera) are phenomenal. They encourage the students to be the best they can be, and they work to bring out the best in each student. They love to spend the time even after class to work on specific items that a student may need help with. They also take great pride in working with the students to become leaders and instructors. I have personally watched one young man become an awesome instructor. And, they are currently grooming several other young students to become future instructors. The students gain confidence in the ability to work hard and achieve his/her goal, be to make it to the next belt or become A State, District or world champ – of which the school has many in each category!!! My granddaughter is a 2nd° black belt and loves to compete. Tonight after class both Mr. Revak and Mr. Bowen spent until after 9 PM working with her on a specific form that she will be doing in Las Vegas next month. If it had not been a school night I would not have been able to get any of them out of there! This is hard work, but extremely rewarding and you will watch your child become a focused, confident person with great self-esteem. PS : you will probably notice a more positive attitude towards school, too!

Dont get conned to sign up with them, pushy salespeople who just want you to get into a long term contract, and then ask you to buy a ton of equipment as necessary for the classes. They will even say that it is easy to break the contract if you move, but not true. Only if you move your residence 25 miles from an affiliated area, which means that they will not cancel the contract if there happens to be another ATA school within 25 miles of your new home. So if there is a better/closer martial arts school near to your new home you cannot cancel the ATA contract and go to the better/closer school you have to go to the worse/far off ATA school.

ATA Karate sucks, they tried to take my 70 y/o mother credit card to charge mo fee even though the contract says that they would be pay by check. BY LAW no such company can ruin your credit if you break your contract. My elderly parents dealt with Nataly and Cabrera but they are the worst at costumer services. They will not get paid since they dont have written authorization to use their credit card!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! RACIST INSTRUCTORS! GREEDY PEOPLE!! They force you to sign up for long term and then TOTALLY IGNORE your child!!!! The worst customer service ever! They trap you into buying more and more necessary equipments. The belt testings mean nothing, everybody passes, even if you cant lift your leg. There are hidden costs that they never mention at the time of sign up, like belt testing, private classes. MOST IMPORTANTLY, THEY ARE DISCRIMINATORY TOWARDS SOME RACES. My son is traumatized and does not ever want to go to class. And guess what - I am trying to talk to them and they wont respond to me!! Now that I have paid in full, they dont care if my son goes to class or not. It is a total mistake to sign up with ATA Karate. Gave it 1 star since that is the only way I can post my frustration!
