I have never been spoken to so rudely and it was a 2 min call inquiring about lessons for a young child, the woman said “I don’t give a $hit in hearing about your story”. I’m still in shock that this person would be teaching children. I would not waste your time inquiring here, after reading the other reviews it’s clear this woman Alyse has lost the love of teaching children and the patience to be kind.

The only reason this isnt one star is because the facility and turnout area are fairly nice.Alyce is nice enough at first, but catch her on a bad day and youre talking to an impatient, condescending, angry old lady who has no business dealing with children. Im sure she was a great employee at first, but now it is clear shes just there for your wallet.Additionally, the lessons themselves are useless unless you go private. You are expected to spend 95% of the time sitting completely still on your horse, not even a walk or trot to keep warmed up. Most of the school horses are checked out and somewhat sullen. At one point they put me in a lesson with very young children just because they didnt know my riding ability. They are very focused on their youth equestrian team, but otherwise, youre just a burden to have around. Total waste of money and time. Stay away.

Verrill Farm Stable is a wonderful place to learn to ride. Both of my daughters have fallen in love with the barn and my wife, who had ridden for 20 years (but not in the last 10) has reconnected with riding. Alyce, who runs the stable, is an amazing person and has now even gotten me on a horse. It’s a short walk from Verrill farms and a nice place to stop by after you get some farm fresh food.

We scheduled the horse riding lesson, completed all forms, arrived on the exact time for our lesson to start, but Alyce McNeil never showed up for our class. We asked if someone can substitute her, but it seams no one were able to help us.We talked to Alyce by phone and she apologized and offered to schedule other time whenever it worked for us.When I called her to reschedule the class, she said that they were full, I need to buy 8 classes instead of one (It wasn’t the case before), and when I reminded her about he offer she hanged up on me.It was rude, unprofessional and very disappointing.

My daughter started riding there in 2018, the manager Alyce seems pleasant at first. Until she has a bad day, she takes out her emotions on the workers and the children she instructs. She seems to be a cauldron of latent rage waiting to erupt. Do not cross this person, she will not only drag you into her bad days she will berate your child and mock her. You do not need to take my word for it, simply check her reviews and talk to other stable owners about her.Very difficult person too quick to anger, should not be working with children in my view. We took our child out as did several others that year. Please be careful and do not just post a good review for her to stay on her good side and get your child on the team, you are disserving others.

This barn has been so wonderful for my daughter. Alyce instills accountability, confidence and a sense of community in her riders, and her staff is fantastic.

Superior instruction for adults and youth. Sound and well kept horses for all levels. Indoor and outdoor riding rings. Located at historic farm in beautiful rural location. There is an award winning equestrian team training here and, for those interested in higher level competition, participation opportunities in showing and eventing.

Best thing that ever happened to Zaahra from the moment she walked into Verrill Farm Stables was meeting Alyce! Alyce soon introduced Zaahra to the barn naming all of the horses & ponies. I was beyond amazed how clean and professional the stalls were kept. Zaahra connected with the older girls in the barn as well as a friendship and love for horses with a friend her own age. Alyce and Kate you both are amazing and thank you for teachings Zaahra how respect, groom, ride and be a friendly horsewomen!See you at the barn!!

Love it here! Food is fresh & delicious! I especially love the pre-cooked/packaged meals. At the end of a long work day, when I dont want to cook or if I have to leave on a business trip- theres always something satisfying to feed my family (creative too!) not youre typical meals from the pre-cooked section of a grocery store.

Verril Farm Stable is an awesome place that serves local grown fruits and veggies when in season here in the Northeast. Verril Farm also makes cakes, pastries, sandwiches , scones to die for. My favorite is the Orange Cranberry Scone. They also make a lemon blueberry scone, apple and cinnamon scone. I wish they would make just a lemon scone cause its my favorite. They have a full deli section. My all-time favorite sandwich is the Chicken Bacon and Ranch Wrap with a side container of Orzo Salad....OMG...So Yummy. This is only the tiniest of samples of what Verrill Farm Stable has. Located on Sudbury Rd in Sudbury Mass this is the place to go. Check it out, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
