This is a combined review of their location and their services.Location is easy to find, lots of parking and knowledgeable staff. We got a quote from another place and the salesperson couldnt understand what we wanted. Michele did and brought a whole truck full of samples for us to try. When we ordered, the date was set and their crews arrived on time and respected our home.Moved furniture, full tear out, prep and the final product included all new baseboards they let me paint first to save a ton of painting.Excellent service and craftsmanship.

Okay okay okay, I thought flooring companies were all the same, but after dealing with Floor Covering International in Concord I have to change my opinion. We have an immune-compromised senior in our home but really needed new floors for their wheelchair. We called around and interviewed tons of floor places. These guys were easily the best. They took every precaution to keep my MIL safe before and during the install - plus they were affordable and professional. Great experience.

We searched for a good company to install our new hardwood floors for our kitchen, living and dining rooms. After calling around, checking websites and especially online reviews we chose Floor Coverings International in Concord. The selection process went smoothly - Bryan came out with a van full of samples for us to touch and see in the rooms before installation. All Covid friendly precautions were taken at every step of the process. Installation took about 3 days and now we have wonderful floors! Gotta get some pictures up for you soon!

We have a rental property in Walnut Creek that was in direct need of new carpeting after the last tenants completely destroyed it. Since we live so far away we knew it was going to be challenge, but the Floor Covering team took everything in stride, got the install done and now the property is back on the market and ready to be rented. After meeting several carpet companies and thinking we knew what direction we were going we met Bryan with Floor Coverings International, we already knew what carpet we wanted and thought all was set. However Bryan seemed very good and he could get the carpet we wanted at the right price. Floor Coverings International has a great selection of carpets and also had the high end carpet called Fabrica that we wanted installed. Fabrica is not easy to install and real pro’s are required. Bryan and his team did an excellent job, the crew was careful working in our home and did a great job installing our new carpet. I highly recommend that you have them come to your house with their Mobile Showroom.

These guys are disingenuous con artists! Steer clear of them! They installed flooring in my home that was far from within manufacturer’s specifications then tried to bill me for the substandard work. Initially Kreg said he would have it fixed but Now Kreg says he wont repair the bad work telling me that they cant fix it unless my foundation is repaired and still want to bill me for the work! If the foundation needed to be fixed before a proper install could be done then they should not have done the substandard work to begin with bu this is just a BS ploy to get out of the work!I also returned materials from another job/contract and they still months later have not given me a refund/paperwork breaking down the return amount and then credited the balance due on their bad work!Remember folks to contact the California State Licensing Board for issues like this! Furthermore they were using an unlicensed sales person Toni Ciacalo who 3 months ago was in the process of getting licensed. Also Kreg and Toni claimed to have in house installers but actually they are subcontractors! Danger stay away from this company they are not as honest as folks might think!

I needed some tile work and remodeling of our kitchen countertops and I had called several other companies and got a quote from a company that I thought would do an awesome job and it turned out to be a total nightmare they destroyed my counter and could not get the tile that I wanted originally, after by pure luck only finding Floor covering International, and speaking with them it came out gave me Better Price than the other company had given me and did an awesome incredible job that came out exactly the way we wanted it actually even better!!!!! Id recommend them to anyone dad I know would need a professional and beautiful looking job they found the matching tile and and completed the work sooner than we could have ever expected!,👍👍👍😁 I sent all my thanks to the team at floor coverings International for doing such an incredible job 😁😁👍👍

Disingenuous illegal business practices destroyed my home with the most horrible flooring job Ive ever seen in my life. Damaged my stove, the list goes on and on. Do not use these guys they are scumbags. Brian has done nothing to make it right contrary to his claims. Stay away from this unethical low quality company.

I contracted with with floor covering international to refinish flooring in my home where I am to marry in 2weeks and then sell. We had to push the appointment a week due to the stomach flu and had a confirmed appt for today at noon. We called three times before the appointment time and re river no answer. They then did not show or answer calls. At 2pm they texted us and said they called but got no answer so job wasn’t confirmed and they went to another job. The Job was confirmed two days prior. I used Floor Coverings International last year to replaced 30+ year old floors in kitchen, dining are, laundry room & home office. Wonderful selection, competitive pricing & outstanding service. High end vinyl floors which look like slate---you have to put your hand on them to realize that its not. This year replaced family room floor & bathroom floor. Family room floor also looks like slate & waterproof laminate which looks like light oak planks in bathroom. No more ugly tile! No more grout! And that floor looks almost as good as my existing tongue-and-groove oak floors in living room & bedrooms. Bryan & Reggie have been extremely helpful in selecting colors/materials & installers have done a great job. I would use Floor Coverings International again if I had more floors. Highly recommended.

I contacted FCI to do a laminate repair from some water damage and ended up continuing the existing flooring into the rest of the house. The customer service was great from beginning to end. Even though I had a small problem with a hatch opening, they took care of it immediately. I would highly recommend FCI!!

Floor Coverings International in Concord California was very professional from start to finish, and the floors look as good as the guarantee provided by this company. It is doubtful that FCI will be the low bid, but you will pay for confidence that the job will be done well, with no change orders, and on time. I had some uneven sub-floor that was noticeable just walking across it, and it is now level. I fully endorse this company and the good work that they do.

FCI carries good quality with availability of a wide variety of products in flooringand cabinetry (provided by their subcontractor). Sales was educational, helpful and of little to no pressure at all. Quality installation and attentiveness to detail was noted and well received. The major bulk of the work was even performed essentially on schedule. Only very minor punch list items remained and was satisfactorily completed shortly thereafter.

I had the opportunity to meet with one of the owners, Bryan, and learn more about his business. Really impressed his company is Diamond Certified, which shows how committed to customer service FCI is and how they make the flooring process simple, convenient and affordable. I will be happy to send my referrals to FCI, and look forward to working with them in the future.

I highly recommend Reggie and the team at FCI. We recently had a major water leak in one of our rental units that damaged a large portion of the floor. They were able to get out right away and get us an estimate during the Holiday Season so that we could submit to our insurance. They were flexible with scheduling with our tenant and made this headache less of a headache. Reggie is professional, knowledge and had great cost effective recommendations for our rental. The end result looks great and our tenant is very happy with the result and the speediness of the project. Our next project is redoing our kitchen floor since it wasnt installed correctly. I will definitely be reaching out to Reggie for that job as well.

This was our first time replacing carpet and floors so we needed to get some ideas and see if the ideas we already had would work. With Bryans help we were able to make a plan and incorporate our ideas with their vast selection. Now that we have had the product for about 3 months, we really are glad we went with FCI. From beginning to end the experience of having two rooms and a hallway refloored by this company could not have been done more efficiently and with more friendly help. I was replacing 23 year old carpeting with a high quality laminate. The selection of laminate offered was extensive, and the consultants knowledgable. Unlike the other two companies from which I got quotes, they took up a discrete corner of the carpeting to see what the subfloor was like, for example. Yes, the whole procedure (furniture removal, carpet removal, installation of laminate and new baseboards, etc.) meant a noisy two days, but the workers were helpful and patient with my requests that boxes of books be moved there, a desk put here, etc. The final work was precise and flawless. I recommend them highly!

It is our pleasure to highly recommend Floor Coverings International. A little background as to why we do.We contracted with Reggie Keating for floor coverings thru-out our house. Luxury Vinyl tile in the dining room, kitchen, and 2 1/2 bathrooms. The rest would be carpet. A sub-contractor FCI has used for years, who I might add has been in business for decades, did the work. It was a terrible installation of the tile and carpet. Plus many many other problems. The biggest was initially we thought the vinyl tile was installed incorrectly. The installers tracked in dirt that ground into the new living room carpet. They also put down some type of sticky plastic in the living room, stairs and hallway that when pulled up caused the carpet to shred. Carpet transition seams looked terrible.I called Reggie for an appointment to discuss all of the issues. Immediately and without hesitation he apologized for all we went thru and said they will replace all that is needed and do whatever it takes to make us happy. (FCI immediately stopped using the contractor that did the installation.)And they did just that. The carpet in the living room,upstairs hallway and stairs was replaced. We initially did not contract to replace the moldings in the living room, kitchen, dining room or the bathrooms. So Reggie said for all of your trouble when we replace the carpet and correct the vinyl installation we will put moldings in the living room, kitchen,dining room and bathrooms at no cost to you. We had not asked for any compensation. Every single item we had an issue with was completed to our satisfaction. And they called us immediately to schedule the work. Not once did Kreg Keding, who oversees the installations, say they didnt do it. This is usually the comment I get from other contractors I have used in the past. The FCI people that corrected the work were very professional and really knew what they were doing.When people hear about the problems we had their comment is usually I guess you wont be using them again. Quite the opposite, they would be the first ones we would call. Why, because they really do back up their claim to stand behind their work with no hassle. A rarity today.On top of all of this we enjoyed working with the people at FCI. It was an excellent working relationship. Do yourself a favor and use them for all of your flooring needs.PS. One of our neighbors had them do an installation and they were also very happy with the work.

I had FCI install floor tile in three bathrooms in my home. Shawn came out and gave a bid that was originally on the higher end, but was able to give me a better price after others had bid lower. Shawn was very professional, and did a follow up visit to drop off tile samples. Kreg was the project manager and did a fantastic job, although because the install took 17 days start to finish, I am subtracting one star on my review. The final job looks great - but I was a little frustrated at how long the job took to complete. There were delays as the original installer hurt his back and Kreg had to reassign a different installer to my job who was not immediately available. Then, as the boxes of tile were opened, it was discovered that some of the floor tiles were broken, and it would take another few days to get replacements. Overall, I am happy with the work, and I would recommend them.
