Kuddos to the entire team that helped me with my rental. From the initial call, to the young man at the shop, to the delivery drivers…what a positive experience. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous and explained the process all along the way. I rented a 3500lbs mini excavator for tree stumps and ditch digging at my residence.A special thank you to the Service Technician who came out Saturday evening (ran out of daylight and awkward spot) and back again Sunday morning to reinstall the track. Thank you!

Our company has rented equipment from Sunbelt for years and never have I dealt with someone who is as rude as the girl Destiny that answered the phone in the Concord NC location. Our workers went there to pickup the equipment needed and said they had the same experience as I did dealing with Destiny. We will rent from another company before dealing with the likes of this lady again. I understand good help is hard to find but you will loose customers if this is the type of attitude they are greeted with.

My husband rents trailers from here often and again, they just said he now has to drive an hour away to pick up his rental because even though he made the reservation for concord they dont have it and now has to drive to south Charlotte last time he had to go to Statesville. Why bother taking a reservation for something if your not going to have it! The worst service, no concern for customers at all. No compensation for his time or frustration for their mistake.UPDATED TO 2 STARS AFTER MY REVIEW THEY DID KNOCK $50 OFF RENTAL

Picking it up was no problem. It was a paint sprayer. It did not work but they were nice enough to refund me. I called to speak to someone at the concord location and she had an attitude and was not very nice. Whoever she is she need to not be on the phone. I worked for sunbeltrentals for 7 years and customer service was a must. I guess its not a priority anymore.

I called at 730am to reserve a piece of equipment. I spoke with Destiny and informed her that I needed this particular piece for the weekend. I was told no problem, Its here, come get it. I drove an hour to pick up the machine. When I arrived I was told it had been reserved, and not by me! I told the salesman that I had spoken to Destiny and she said it was available. He asks her about it and she lied about even speaking with me. Good luck dealing with this location. Youre going to need it!

Ive rented from here on several occasions. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ive rented everything from a Dingo, bobcat, trailers to lawn equipment - they got everything you would need ready to go.

Talked to John at Sunbelt about renting a Concrete Grinder to prep a floor for epoxy. He told me details about how the grinder worked. He also told me I could pick it up Friday and return it on Monday before 9 and it would be a one day rental. I scheduled the pickup on a Thursday, for Friday afternoon. When I arrived it was ready to load, guys helped me load it on to my pickup and off I went. I got the job done on Saturday and returned the unit Monday. Good tool and good service.

I was nervous about renting as a DIY home owner but I was extremely pleased. The service I received was top notched. They loaded the equipment (trench digger) onto my trailer and explained how to operate (even spoke louder when I asked bc I had my 86 year old father w me - so polite!). Will rent from them again for sure!

The josh Horton review is absolutely a one sided review. This comes from a really big fabrication of the truth. 95% of his story is a lie. Just someone trying (and succeeded by lying) to get something for nothing.

Our company rented a Bobcat from Sunbelt of Kannaplolis on a Saturday just to move around some gravel quickly for the weekend. When we arrived for pickup the unit was on too small of a trailer for the unit but they discounted the trailer cost. However they failed to let us know that the trailer brakes and lights did not work so that was a surprise on the tow home. Then once we got the unit to the work site it only had a 1/4 of fuel. No problem we filled it up and did our work and took it back on Monday with 3/4 tank of fuel. At this point they argued with us about the fuel and how they do not let them leave without being full and we will be charged for the fuel we did not replace. We proceeded to let them know we brought it back with 1/2 tank more fuel than on pick up and basically told us we were liars and made us pay $15 for fuel. This will be the last time we rent anything from Sunbelt of Kannapolis for the soul purpose of there bad manors and customer service. If you do rent from them be sure to fully check over the equipment with someone there before your leave and have it fully noted.They get 2 stars instead of 1 since the bobcat did its job.

LACKING IN RESPECT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE:I just wanted to comment on my disrespectful and unsatisfactory experience I had with the Sunbelt office in Concord NC, Branch #28; and also in Indian Trail, Branch #40. It started off with me calling to order a skid steer, and other equipment, for a weekend project. I told the sales person that I had soft ground and would need a tracked vehicle to traverse over it. He said they had one in the Indian Trail and would be happy to set me up with it, and that I would just need to come in to the Concord office to make my payment to complete the reservation. So far the experience was great, until the equipment was delivered the next day. Instead of a tracked skid steer they had sent one with wheels. And to make it worse, it was with tires that were made for driving on a solid surface with zero tread. Right away I told the driver that I had requested one with tracks and I knew I would have trouble getting up my hill with what they sent. So the driver said, I can give it a try and if it doesnt work call the office and they will swap it out for one with tracks. The next day, Saturday, I started using the skid steer and on my first trip up the hill I realized the tires were to slick to make it and were digging deep ruts in my yard. Unfortunately the office was closed, and it would be Sunday afternoon till realized I had to call the 1-800-No-Sweat number for help. With the thoughts of not being able to get the skid steer up the hill, all the damage done to my yard, and not being able to complete my project were to say the least, most stressful. But after speaking with the after hours representative and him reassuring me that they would get a tracked skid steer to me Monday morning and waive the daily rental fee since I wasnt able to use what I had already paid for, I was feeling relieved.Nightmare begins Monday morning with the manager of branch #28, John Killilee, calling and basically called me a liar and that his employee said I never requested a tracked vehicle. So I guess Sunbelts philosophy is, Employees always right??? And he also said that he would bring me a tracked vehicle but I would have to pay for a full days rental. So when I commented that I was basically going to loose the $300 I had already paid, he decided to add insult and remind me that I had actually paid more. Feeling defeated, I told him never mind that he could come and pick up his equipment and that I would be needing help to pull it up the hill.Never in my life had I ever experienced such poor customer service. That is not until the manager of branch #40, Cliff Holland, calls. He asks what I meant by bringing something to help pull me up the hill and I explained to him about how the skid steer is stuck and doesnt have traction enough to make it up. He replies that Ill just have to call a tow truck. After I asked to confirm that he wasnt going to help me and I didnt feel that I should have to pay more money for a tow truck, he responded with, I guess well do this the hard way. Not knowing what The Hard Way is and not wanting them to charge my credit card anymore I told him never mind, that I would get it up the hill.Once again, I have never experienced or heard of a company with such blatant disregard and disrespect for their customers. I highly recommend others to read the contract, inspect the equipment, and make sure its what you need and not what they felt like sending before you accept it. I will never do business with Sunbelt Rentals again.UPDATE: The District Manager has reached out to us and was very polite with a solution and is going to credit us the cost of the skid steer. I would also like to thank all of those that were involved and I appreciate your immediate actions to retain my patronage.
