This review is a long time coming, but Im happy to give AA Automotive 5 stars. Chad and his team are AWESOME! As a woman, it can be challenging to find a mechanic thats trustworthy, fairly priced, and helps you make informed decisions about your vehicles maintenance and repairs. I found AA Automotive a few years ago, and I wont go anywhere else. I recommend them to everyone!

I was so happy to find this shop!!.The boss is named Chad and he is so good at his trade.. He can diagnose everything I brought to him!!.. and do a great job a a very fair price in this local..he has a great crew as well and I highly recommend him!!

Chad is one of the last honest mechanics. Hes a really great guy and I take my stuff to him for everything.

Chad has been working on my cars and truck for longer than I can remember. He has always been honest, upfront and ethical. Literally AA Automotive is the best auto repair shop in all of Contra Costa County, if not the Bay Area. Highly recommended!

I cant speak highly enough of Chad and his team. Like another reviewer, ex-mechanic here. I have personal experience with some of the gougers and cheats out there. Going to a mechanic is worse than going to the dentist. You just know its going to hurt. AA is different. Chad is the only person I would send my mom to! He is the type of mechanic that I always strived to be (yet my behavior was discouraged in some of the shops I worked in!). I am so glad I found this shop. I have now 3 personal experiences (3 different vehicles) with AA and have referred two others who were pleased as well. Every time, Chad has been as honest and reasonable as you could ever hope for. That explains why he is always so busy, but never too busy to do you right. Do yourself a favor. Go See Chad, Go See Chad, Go See Chad! Get it done right the first time, and sleep well knowing your issue will be resolved correctly and you didnt get ripped off.

Chad & Casey both have been amazing to work with; they both use sms text messaging, which I absolutely love! Chad is a great mechanic, favoring OEM parts which I really appreciate, and has shown such a high level of patience with my old ride. He always give it to me straight, and explains any complications he finds along the way. Scheduling with Casey is always a breeze, and is willing to work with you if you have urgent mechanical needs. Im always a little cautious to take my 2001 Infiniti to them, ONLY because I feel bad for Chad having to figure out either whats wrong with it, or how to cope with the fact that the parts are all discontinued. Hes always been a champ about it though. This is the 5th mechanic Ive been to in the area, and Im here to stay (so long as hell have me).

Chad saw that the repair we needed was caused by damage done by another service provider. He suggested we go back there first and try to get them to amend their work. We did this and did not have to pay for their error.

Very trustworthy mechanic. I love to go to local, family run businesses. If they think they can’t do the job, they will let you know. They fixed mistakes done by the dealer. I bring all my vehicles here without a second thought!

This shop is the ONLY shop I recommend and Im a former mechanic. I worked at shops and i wouldnt recommend them, but this place i would. Helped my mom in a bind replace a motor on a 03 Stratus, turn around time as exactly as Chad said it. car is great that was years ago. 2008 was repair, car is running good to this day.Next repair, my brothers G35 bad crank bearings replaced motor, this job really shocked my socks off, got it done far less than i imagined it would cost, Chad when he looks for a good motor he does find you the BEST he found me a 3k motor, ie new, i told him Id need a couple days to get the money i called him back and he said the car was done, picked it up. solid motor no problems and that was 2011.Its 2013 Both cars are alive and well wouldnt be fair to mention price but to each their own, GO there and do your self a favor and GET an estimate from him.Im only writing this review because this shop has shined 2x and I think it will again!
