This was my first wax ever and I was extremely nervous! I wasnt sure exactly what to expect but as soon as I met Dottie at the door her presence was extremely calming and peaceful! She explained to me step-by-step what was going to happen and explain to me spots that would be more painful than others. The whole time she talked with me it was not uncomfortable or awkward at all! I’ve been wanting to get a Brazilian wax for the longest time, but was always so scared of the pain associated with it. After finding a pretty awesome Groupon with Dottie and reading her reviews, I took the plunge.As soon as I walked into her studio, I felt more at ease (still quite nervous though - I mean it’s a Brazilian!) and she was so kind. She told me what I should expect and that she is quick, clean and most importantly good at what she does.We started off with normal conversation and she gave me tips on how to make the process less painful in certain areas (the toe wiggles work!). What I enjoyed most out of this entire experience, is that she is so spiritual. Our conversation made me feel at ease, made me curious and gave me chills to be honest.Before I knew it, the wax was over and I survived my first Brazilian! But most of all, I felt relaxed, reassured and leaving with some sort of a small connection to the woman I just met an hour before. I had my first Brazilian with Dottie done and it was virtually painless, smooth and least stressful wax I’ve ever had. I DON’T wax because it hurts but wait until the last minute to go. She was great with scheduling, quick with responses and I am actually excited knowing I have 2 more to use!Reiki - This was my 2nd experience with reiki (but also my first with Dottie) and ash she says “everyone does it different.” I loved the session I had with Dottie. She gave me great feedback and it was truly wonderful being on the receiving end of her gifts. I felt lighter leaving her studio than I have in a very long time.I highly recommend any of Dottie’s services, she truly has a gift and I can wholeheartedly vouch for her kindness!

I wish I could give no stars. I will share my bad experience with this place. I didnt even get to use my groupon that I purchased yet the owner redeemed regardless. My appointment was at 6:00pm. I knocked on the door several times between 6:00pm to 6:05pm with no answer so I walked back to my car to leave. It was 35 degrees out with high winds. When I make an appointment at a scheduled time, I expect that time to be prompt, unless I am told they are running behind. I left and the owner texted me at 6:10pm saying Im ready. At this time, I was already on my way out and she sent another text saying, I hope that everything is ok. Its my policy for no call/no shows to redeem the voucher. Please let me know your next availability. I replied and said, My appointment was at 6 so 6:10 seemed a little ridiculous to be waiting. I will not be rescheduling. She said she opened her door at 6:04, which is not true because I was standing in her garage at that time. She said she was running behind because of her 5:30pm client - if that was the case, she knew she was running late, why not text me and let me know? Instead, she literally got into a long text conversation with me and proceeded to threaten me for writing a review of my experience. Never in this time did she apologize for HER running behind. She didnt say, Im so sorry I was running behind, let me make this right. I will never go back or recommend this place. Terrible customer service. (Texts included)
