A company that boasts they know how to fix everything could not fix my range hood. “Joe” the repairman came into my house, looked at the range . He said he’ll be back and walked out. I asked him if he was leaving because he didn’t even open his ladder and said yes. No other explanation. I called and spoke to Scott who resorted to yelling at me because I asked why his repairman left and he didn’t want to tell me that they couldn’t fix the unit. Apparently they didn’t do any research before they came either. Turnpike appliance didn’t seem as professional and able as they advertised. I waited two weeks for someone to come and I still have an appliance that doesn’t work. Thanks 👍🏼

How do you charged people up front for work that you didn’t even do yet ? That makes no sense, and how do you replace something that doesn’t work with old parts ? That’ll more than likely have the same issue cause they’re old parts that haven’t function in a while.

Ordered replacement parts on their website August 8th. No email support, no communication that the item was out of stock & had to be shipped in from France. Finally arrives in October and I call and pay for my order since the previous payment authorization had lapsed, it’s now been another month & I still don’t have my order. It’a been one of the most frustrating retail experiences of my life.

Great and not so great.Did I get what I paid for,,,,Absolutely.Fast at-home service call. Polite, efficient neat and clean.BUT$263.00 for 20 minutes to replace a part which is $30 online.Thats the not so great. Make the price more reasonable and Ill give you 5 stars.

Set up a pickup schedule for ebay purchase before visit. The owner is saying that I am working on the $500 of worth of repair, so I cannot look for your $30 part. He just canceled my order and did not apologize for my time and travel. I could be your customer for $1000 christmas gift purchases. Learn before you do the business.

Used their online parts service. Due to COVID restrictions... theyre not providing customer service--not even email updates on shipping status. BUT they dont tell you that before you order. You just order and sit in limbo, wondering when your order will arrive.

I brought in one of the lamps i have at home it was a gift from my grandfather and for some reason it stopped working. I brought it in and the customer service was great, they looked at it immediately and told me what was wrong with it. They ordered the part that was needed to fix my lamp and within days they called me to tell me theyve repaired my lamp and its ready to be picked up. Its working as good as new, im very satisfied with their service and i highly recommend going to them for your services.

I had the unfortunate experience of a rat or mouse chewing through two pairs of wires under my Whirlpool Dishwasher.. one pair which powered the waste-water pump and the other which powered the water intake pump. Being somewhat handy I spliced the wires back together but was unable to get the unit to fill/empty again. So I made a call to Turnpike Appliance. The tech, Bruce, showed up on time and I explained what my issue was. As soon as I said mice, I feel like he completely shut down and surrendered any hope of even diagnosing specifically what wasnt working on the dishwasher. He spent more time examining a wiring manual from Whirlpool than he did actually looking at the individual components of the dishwasher. There was only a brief attempt to see if the wiring was carrying power, which according to him, they were not. I was then told the rat might have gotten inside the unit and chewed through other wires or cables, so your best option is to just replace the dishwasher. The dishwasher was very new, only a little over a year old, and at the cost of $76 for someone just to tell me to get a new dishwasher, the service call was very unfulfilling. The receipt for my bill I received says WE FIX ANYTHING. Well if anything is nothing, then yes, I suppose they do. I shouldve paid more attention to the negative reviews here but I didnt want to believe that something couldnt be done to save me another $500 dishwasher purchase over two pairs of chewed wires. I just purchased a new dishwasher from P.C. Richards, not wanting a repeat of what I experienced with Turnpike Appliance. Be aware that their service call techs dont appear to have any specialized skills or knowledge about an appliance you are calling them to fix.

The “president” of this company, Scott Resnick, is extremely rude & unprofessional.I purchased a Rowenta iron earlier this year & contacted that company about the damage. They told me to provide them with a copy of my receipt so that they could provide me with a prepaid return label. Upon the package being marked as delivered, Rowenta stated that they would send out a replacement in exchange for the damaged product.It turns out that my damaged iron was actually sent to this business for a repair when that’s not what I discussed with the call center representative at Rowenta. Nothing was mentioned to me about my iron being sent in for repair. I was told that I would receive a new one in exchange for the defective one.I receive a call from this company, Turnpike Appliances, located in Commack. An unprofessional circus clown, Scott Resnick, asks me why was this iron sent to them. I tried to explain it to him in a detailed manner so that there would be no confusion (because I myself was extremely confused) but he constantly cut me off & hung up on my face intentionally. His attitude & responses were disgusting, nasty & rude.Whoever gave this man a business deserves a bronze medal🥉 He sure knows how to act like a professional businessman. His mother should’ve swallowed him instead.A complaint will be placed with 311, the Better Business Burea & if there is an HR or higher department than him. I’m going to do anything & everything to make sure this man’s business gets taken away from him.P.S. This wouldn’t be the first business that went out of business because of ME! 😁

I saw this company had listed a replacement power wheels battery on eBay for $66.99, Instead of ordering it and having it shipped to my house I decided to go to the store to purchase it. I spoke to the owner and asked since I’m picking this up and he would not be paying eBay a commission or paying for shipping if you could take a few dollars off the price of the refurbished battery, He looked at me like I had three heads and began to talk very condescending to me I attempted to walk out and he continued talking telling me how selling on EBay is 30 seconds of work for him yet taking a battery off the shelf and swiping my credit card is a lot of man-hours for him. The customer service is terrible and people don’t appreciate being berated by someone who sells used vacuum cleaners and blenders for a living, He really needs to work on his customer service especially since his line of work is going to be obsolete very shortly.

Went in on a wednesday for a simple vacuum fix, was charged nearly the price of a new vacuum, a week later I call on the status only to get a rude young guy on the phone saying itll be ready when its ready. Followed up and got someone else on the phone to say they were waiting on parts should be ready by Friday. No response, called the next Wednesday to find that the parts ordered were not the right ones so I said should I call in a week they responded no it should be ready much sooner than that. Here we are day 20 and they finally called to say its ready. Are you kidding me? Never again!

I ordered a item from this company online. I ordered it by mistake. With in three minutes I requested that the item be canceled. This was on a Saturday. Which there hours show they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday I received a response saying that the item has already been shipped via USPS. Guess what USPS is also closed on Sunday. Read some of this guys low feedback. You will see he is money hungry and doesnt provide any customer service. Not to mention a liar.

THIS STORE IS A SHAM! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY this is a warning to all. If you value your stuff DONT SEND IT HERE YOU WILL LOOSE OUT. I sent them an item in perfect working condition and all they had to do was change the batteries, after a month of not hearing from them I called them. When I spoke to a Scott Resnick he claimed the item no longer worked when I questioned him about it he became very rude, insulting and hung up on me never resolving the issue; who knows what they did with the item but any consumer will be taking a high risk in trusting this store with their equipment I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY this is a warning to all. If you value your stuff DONT SEND IT HERE YOU WILL LOOSE OUT.

Needed a door latch for a front load washing machine so I went there. They had to order it. That was a Friday so I got it on a Monday. No problem there. They charged $19.99 and had some phony miscellaneous part number by it. I should have checked with Sears. Same part for $4.66 . I usually like to support local stores.

What the person at the counter tells you and what actually happens are two different things. I brought in my vacuum to be repaired on a Wednesday. The rep said he would call me when it was done on Thursday or Friday. Called the store on Friday and left a message. No response and the store is closed on the weekends and only open 9-5 on weekdays. I guess they assume their customers do not work that they can be at the store during those hours. Brought my vacuum home a week later and it was cleaned but still didnt work properly. Brought it back and waited for them to fix it. The guy said it was fixed. Luckily I brought some confetti to test it in the store. Still didnt work. Tried again to fix it and now it is working. 3 times to get it right and horrible hours - Never again !!

Without Scott and Turnpike Appliance I would not be able to operate. My Paco-Jet is the backbone of my frozen dessert business. When it broke down Scott talked me through a repair over the phone, and got me up and running. He put himself in my place and did the exact thing I needed. That kind of customer service is very rare these days. I have to travel 125 miles to Commack from my home in upstate NY, so he fixes my machine and gets it back while I wait. He takes the time to actually teach me the best ways to use my Paco-Jet for yield and long life. Thank you Scott. Turnpike Appliance is the only choice!

Microwave was never fixed after they came back 4 times to fix and less then a year later the refrigerator stopped working after they repaired it. They dont stand behind there work and they their warranty is only for 90 days. The cost of repairing is overpriced and the owner is rude and not helpful.

I had a problem with my blender purchased from pacojet. It was a problem with the machine not pacojet. I sent an email to them asking what to do. They responded immediately and said send in the machine. Within a couple of days I heard back and they asked a question about the machine and I responded. Again, within a day they said the machine not only had a problem I identified they noticed it was noisier than it should be. So without any fuse I get a email back saying we will just send you another blender. This was all done within about a couple of days not including the time in the mail. Of course I was very pleased!! Everyone, these guys are legit and very customer oriented!
