I tried to make a reservation online for a 10ft box truck for 8am on 7/31. The only thing available at this location was a 9ft cargo van at 7am. Reluctantly, I agreed. ON THE WEBSITE, IT STATES THAT IF A TRUCK IS NOT AVAILABLE WHEN YOU SAY IT IS, I AM ELIGIBLE FOR A $50 STATEMENT CREDIT.I got a call at 7am telling me that the van would not be ready until 3:30pm. I said that was fine since I needed the truck that day and I needed to get off the phone to go tell the leasing office. I explained the situation to the leasing office and they charged me an extra $65 for an extra day of rent. I called my friends that were supposed to help me move and they were no longer available. So, I had to move a 1 bedroom apartment by myself in a van that was much too small for my stuff. This resulted in extra trips than if I had had the box truck I wanted in the first place (aka extra miles that I paid for).I already spoke with the store manager and he promised me the $50 statement credit. Yet, here we are almost a week later with no such thing. I called Uhaul AGAIN (3 hours now on the phone) and they told me that the claim had been closed. So, Mr. Manager (since you didnt tell me your name the last time we spoke), are you a man of your word or are you a liar? The reservation was made under Reagan Beckett. Representative at location included a drop off location 60 miles from where I told him that I was moving to. Then provided an incorrect phone number for me to call to correct the issue myself. Called the number and they just essentially told me to deal with it. Don’t work with these people. Go elsewhere.

Super efficient general manager and workers. Went in a few days earlier to pick up moving equipment and I was in and out in about 5 mins. Same thing when I went back to pick up the truck. Cargo truck was easy to pack, unload, and, most importantly, drive. Although I needed to extend my reservation and to do so had to wait on hold for like 20 mins, it was a general U-Haul customer service line so it was not a reflection of this specific location. Regardless, in the end I was able to easily extend my reservation and I got everything done that I needed to do. Would definitely recommend using this location!

Rude con artists work here!Three trips, two credit charges on 2 different cards, waste of gas & over 7.5hrs of my day. I will never ever use U-Haul again!U-Haul on Parsons avenue, ripped my wiring out, charged me and didnt let me leave with the trailer but failed to remove the charges. I went there 3 times trying to get the trailer. First time argued told me I didnt have a reservation, refused to look in the computer, offered me a 3 hrs rental so I left, but I needed the rental so I went back and thats when the large employee ripped my wires out so the wouldnt let me leave, with it. I checked the wires by themselves which worked. Went to show them but they canceled my first reservation & when they hooked me up again NO lights thats when I realized the employee ripped the cable out!! So they didnt let me leave with the trailer.

Used this location for a trailer to move down to German Village. Interacted with three employees and all were great. Helpful and funny, they seemed like they were having fun while they were helping me. Cant ask for more than that. Shout out to Tim for attaching the trailer for me and saving my back after a long day of moving. Thanks!

Timothy was a great help a couple weekends ago. If moving wasn’t stressful enough, add realizing you need an additional storage unit and have less then 45min to unload. Timothy helped me get another unit making is seem less for me. Thanks for the help!

Twice I have used this location and both times I have been very pleased! They have the items that I reserved (which isn’t always a guarantee at other locations. The staff is attentive and business oriented. The trailer I received was in good shape and had no issues. Pick up and drop off we’re a breeze and the gentlemen that helped me did all the work. I couldn’t imagine a more pleasurable experience. Good job team!

The manager here is AWESOME! He was super helpful when I was in store and then called me a little while later to let me know I had forgotten my ID. Unfortunately I was already on the road but he offered to throw it in the mail. He is great!

Whatever you do, do not hire top of the line moving and labor services to help you move. They do their business/evil through U-Haul and will damage your stuff when they move it. They will then follow that up by coming back to your property to destroy stuff. In my case, they broke into my car. Uhaul trucks are also bad news bears and mine overheated and killed my cat. I think its fair to say I hate U Haul.

I visited this location on 10/6/2020, in the evening, and was very disappointed to see that the sole employee was not wearing a mask. Actually, there was no mask in sight(he didnt seem to have one at all). Even though there is a sign on the door stating that masks are required. I wish he had his name on his shirt so I couldve gotten it. He aslo seemed like it was a bother to have to do anything for me.

Owner is incompetent as is the staff. Gave away my vehicle within twenty minutes of my reservation time. My fault for being late but you think they would call. Started reserving a second vehicle when they forced me to give the number of a friend to verify my identity. Not sure how this verifies anything as they had no idea who my friend is. Then the second vehicle was given away by the owner, who was sitting two feet away, to another customer. Im not making that up. They were sitting two feet from each other and couldnt communicate that they were working on the same vehicle. So now we get to restart the process again meaning I have to do everything again. Owner is rude the entire time like somehow them giving away my vehicle twice is my fault. Then they tell me that the dolly I ordered isnt available. Wow. People in line at this point are getting restless. I get outside and ask where my tarp and twine is. The owner says you needed to ask for that upfront like it was my fault for not telling them what I put in the order days ago at the desk. Then the owner starts yelling at me bout where the truck is located and how hes not going to rent to me despite them screwing up on practically every step. Horrible experience dont use this UHaul.

Was charged twice for the truck I rented to move my things out of my storage unit which caused my bank account to overdraft. I called the store repeatedly to ask about the double charge and decided to drive to the location after no answer for over 2 hours. When I got to the store, there were three men sitting in chairs behind the counter and none of them greeted or acknowledged me until I interrupted their conversation. They said there was nothing they could do and that it was my banks fault I was charged twice. (Which is completely ridiculous, because banks can only approve charges not make them. And after calling the bank, I was informed that my card was indeed run twice 7 minutes apart.) I have filed a claim and am in the process of hopefully getting my money back, but this is absolutely ridiculous. I closed my account with them when I returned the truck, there is no reason money should have been drafted from my account 2 days later for the exact amount it cost to hold the truck. Someone is either making negligent errors or scamming people. Will never do business here again.

Ive only dropped off equipment here (not rented from here), but the experience was really good. Friendly and helpful staff. The first thing I dropped off was a truck I had rented from Ohio. The guy who checked me out said it was over my mileage allotment by about 80 miles, I told him theres no way that could be true given the distance from point A to B. I suggested the odometer must be off. He said thats probably it and didnt charge me the overage.

I had an overwhelmingly positive experience with this U-Haul dealer this week. The reservation process went very smoothly. My rental was ready as I requested. The pickup process was positive thanks to a competent and courteous U-Haul representative. The truck I rented was capable. The return process went quickly.Thanks to U-Haul, I saved some serious cash and hard labor by hauling my own landscaping materials in a pickup truck that I could drive into my yard.The only minor snag to my experience was that the truck interior smelled like a dirty gym sock.

Today I was a first time customer at the Parsons Avenue Uhaul Center. I went in this morning (4/20/2019 Saturday 9:30am) to pick up my reserved rental truck and the experience was more than pleasant. The staff was friendly and the store was clean and organized. There was a minimal wait time and the price for the rental was more than reasonable. I am extremely impressed with this stores Uhaul customer service and I would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for your quick and easy service, as this experience took a lot of stress from my moving today:)

They were great! Super helpful and accommodating. I think the guy who helped us was named Pete. We walked in and got a truck the same day. It ended up raining really hard that night, so we unloaded the next morning. We were a couple hours late, but he didnt charge us a second day because of the rain! We really appreciated that!

Been there three times to fill-up propane tanks, actually gotten propane once. First time last year I called in advance and asked if I could get propane, and was told to come right over. I did, and the guy who could actually pump propane was gone. Turns out Id talked to their service. I was upset, but tried again, and everything was fine and people were friendly. Unfortunately I forgot about that this year and called again and was told Sure, come right over. 30 minutes of traffic later and theyre painting the parking lot and the owner says Of course I cant sell you propane. You spoke to our service. If you want something, call in advance, but DONT TALK TO ANYONE BUT THE OWNER. I wont be going back because the owner seemed not to care that hed misled me into spending an hour in traffic for nothing. Even if he is not in control of the answering service (which is ridiculous), he could have been empathetic and apologetic. He seemed more annoyed that Id asked. If you want propane, try Tractor Supply on Rte 40 west of the outerbelt.

Friendly, professional, and courteous service. This was our final move with our son after his graduation from Ohio State. Weve used all the major truck rental companies and U-Haul has proved to be the most reliable. This location in particular was clean, organized, and got us on our way back to Chicago in no time at all. Highly recommended.

I’ve patronize this location many times and had good service until today. I take two propane tanks I’ve previously have had filled at this location and they refuse to fill one of them. I ask why and they tell me it’s a 10+ year old tank. Yet when I tell them I just bought the tank from blue rhino they dig in and still refuse to fill the tank. I tell the manager I just had them fill it in November and he doesn’t care. At that point his sales associate starts getting an attitude with me. I didn’t come down to the Southside for attitude or to be treated poorly. I likewise will never patronize this store again. Service has gone to hell. Do yourself a favor and go to a U Haul in a non ghetto part of town.

I called to get information on rates and availability for a 10x10 storage unit today. I was given the quote (which sounded great) and told the rep that I would call right back to reserve the unit after speaking with my husband. I asked for less than 5 mins. Your CSR got so upset that HE HUNG UP ON ME, because I wouldnt give him my credit card # right that second to reserve the unit (which is sketchy in itself). I understand he may work off sales, but this clearly isnt working. With all the info taken, is the call not stored in some way? If not, not my fault. This phone call was recorded on both ends and cant be misconstrued in any way. I stayed polite in the up most way for the duration of the call. With the great rate and big name store, I thought wed be in good hands and was ready to take the next step. Not now. I will be kind and say to you good day. Maybe dear Im Trent will read this and learn some manners.

Worst uhaul Ive ever been to. When we first got there we had an angry white lady get rude about where we parked and made us move. Then we got inside and waited for over 30 minutes because the old guy behind the counter was taking forever. He let 2 people cut in line in front of us. He also answered his personal phone and started talking to someone while helping someone else. When it was finally our turn he couldnt figure out how to use the computer so we had to switch to another one. He told us we had provide a contact number to verify that my husband was really him. He said he was going to call me, which was fine. I told him my number about 6 times and everytime he keeping putting it in the computer wrong. It took about 15 minutes for him to get my number correct to call me. Then when we went to pay, the bill was more than what was quoted to us. And they told us that if we paid in cash it would an extra $100, but couldnt give us an answer why. This was the worst customer service experience ever

I wish I could leave a NEGATIVE review. March I rented a moving truck. Returned in great condition. Gas where it had been..... July... J U L Y- after endless call after call after call after email after email I got a check for remainder of my deposit. I was told 3 times a different check was mailed out since I received NONE! An employee at this location wrote down an incorrect number on my address, so they blamed it on that.... come to find out J uI ly 11th I go get the check....its the very 1st check they sent out in April...3 weeks after my rental was returned. So I go cash it NEXT DOOR. Few days ago i returned to the facility for other financial services & Im told i have a returned check from UHAUL! THEY CANCELED THE CHECK AFTER I CASHED IT! Now the local store says its corporate, corporate says its the local store. F* uhaul. A Corporate Assistant Mngr spoke with the company who cashed the check, confirmed a $30 fee for returned check NOW THEY WANT DOCUMENTATION! I WANT MY $$$$ ITS AUGUST....I USED YALL IN MARCH! GO ELSEWHERE!!!***October...still no money

Went in the location 7/27/17. First off, there was no worker in the building. He did not come to the front desk for 15 minutes. Claimed he was closing the back. We get our truck, get to the move, they did not include the dolly that I ask and was charged for. So, now I cannot move. Location closed so I am unable to speak to anyone. Called toll free number, she is sending me to another location (which is out of the way) to pick up a dolly. Well, we get disconnected so I do not have the address as to where I should pick up dolly. Now Im in the middle of nowhere. Not to mention using more mileage the I have to pay for. Called customer service 7 times. Asked for a manager, was disconnected and hung up on. Now, I have this truck that I am paying for that I cannot use. And I cannot get a manager. They have my card information, so they are going to come in in the morning and charge me for all of these miles when they sent me on the mission..smh..and as I was typing this, I was on hold with customer service, they hung up again.

I had reserved a pick up truck and the next day I was called and told that the pick up truck is no longer available. They told me that I could pick up a truck instead at a location on the other side of town. Knowing that I wouldnt be able to leave work until rush hour and wouldnt be able to make it in time for pick up, I asked if instead I could get a 10 foot truck. This seemed okay and I was told that it would be the same price however, the mileage was going to 79 cents instead of 69 cents. I asked if for the inconvenience, they could match the 69 cents. It was at this point, I was told this was not an inconvenience to me and there was nothing they could do. The person I spoke to, Asia, became very rude and wouldnt allow me to finish a sentence. She was talking over me, yelling at me, and I said do not talk over me, allow me to finish a thought! She went on to tell me not to tell her what to do and that were not going to change the mileage and that they dont owe me anything. I said well, actually per your very own guarantee, you owe me $50 dollars as the truck I reserved wasnt available anymore. This did not please Asia. She became even angrier and just hung up on me when I began asking for a manager, a phone number to speak to someone higher than she was (she insisted there wasnt anyone higher than she). I called the 1-800 number and spoke to a girl named Lauren. Lauren was fantastic. She heard my complaints and she was very sympathetic and apologetic to the abuse that I received. Lauren said that I would get the $50 guarantee and the 69 cents a mile! All I would have to do is confirm with my local store. In the mean time, I received a voicemail from Roberta from the local store stating that I would receive the $50 guarantee but they couldnt change the mileage. So, I called back hoping to speak to Roberta. This was 1:12 PM, I was told Roberta wasnt there anymore. So, again speaking to the lovely Asia, I told her about the conversation I had with Lauren. Asia became very mad again and started talking over me once again, continuing her rude and insolent behavior. I began coaching her on how to appropriately speak to customers and told her she needs to work on her customer service skills. She said she didnt need to because shes not in customer service. I said talking to customers in any capacity is the definition of customer service. She then said I would need to speak to Roberta. I said I said well when will Roberta be in again? She said I dont know. I asked then how can speak to her again? Asia literally said Shes on her lunch, I dont know when shell be back. Itll probably be 3:30. I thought this was odd. Ive never heard of companies allowing 2 and half hour lunches, but whatever. At this point, after another moment of battering I received from Asia, she randomly placed me on hold. I disconnected the call and called the 1-800 number yet again. I spoke to a very kind gentleman by the name of Dom. I told Dom the story of my tumultuous time dealing with U-Haul and Dom connected me with a darling girl by the name of Angel who helped me transfer my reservation to another location in my area and gave me the rate I requested as well as insuring my receipt of the $50 guarantee. My experiences with U-Haul were pleasant except for the conversations with the employees specifically at this location. Granted, I believe I only spoke to Asia. The rest of the staff may be gems- but at this point, Im not willing to find out.

Checked online for trucks, and was shown trucks were available at this location. Stopped into store and was told there were no trucks available here, and he would not help us find any other trucks in the area. A customer in line was who told us to check Hilliard. We went to the car, called the 1-800 number, and reserved a truck from THIS location in their parking lot. We wasted 2 hours in line, twice. Saturdays are busy, and one associate is working. All thumbs down.

HORRIBLE!!! I get there no one was in the store. We had to wait 15 mins for someone. The rep comes he never​ apologized for us sitting there with no on there. We were charged for a dolly we NEVER received. Called Uhaul and were giving a run around. They wanted us to go thru hoops hurdles and different locations to get something that should have already been there. Then low and behold we get disconnected. Call back 9 times to speak to a manger. SMH. They either transferred to another rep, hung up, or they were rude. Then to make matters even worse I look at my bank account and there was a extra charge of $12.31. Mad does not explain the how I am and the poor service I received is unexplainable. In the business of customer service no one should have to go through these things. If I spend my money I should get what I expect. Good service is hard to find with UHAUL.

Do not rent from this place. They are deceptive and take adavntage of inexperienced people. They have horrible customer service my daughter had to wait for almost 20 min for someone to show up in the office.They were rude and lied to them about how to rent their Uhaul trucks. DO NOT GO THERE!!

I made two separate transactions in one day and they charged my bank account twice for the same interaction. Once was a week later maybe thinking you wouldnt catch it.
