It’s A Health MATTER of waste specially of COVID 19 to ignore anything related to. They should be extra precautions and treat there customers differently cuz the world never been the same. Horrible experience no professionalism. I use them with my business trash pickup never on time, no concerned or bothered if trash full or not they could careless. Lazy drivers nothing but excuses to turnaround. I highly recommend to extra careful of using them any business matters cuz they don’t have any. This is two weeks of runaround but yet no one taking care the issues. Still wanna charge for extra for extra pickup fees. Nonsense

This is the WORST Waste Management Company ever!! The Mob does a better job!!I have a neighbor that NEVER pays his trash bill, so he always puts his 2 trash barrels with the neighbor’s trash barrel. Mind you, Local Waste Services say they will only empty ONE BARREL per property. Then why are they emptying 3 barrels at this property?? They don’t even follow their own rules!! That is 100% ILLEGAL DUMPING!! And nobody cares?? But, we are FORCED to follow their rules!!You can’t call the Police, they say it’s a Civil matter, and if you call Local Waste Services, they do nothing about it!! Why are any of us paying these people?? Not to mention, their receptionists are complete BIT***S!!! Rude as can be & nasty to the core.Why am I paying their exorbitant trash bills when I can just put it on my neighbor’s property?!?! This company has completely changed all of their rules for trash collection, and to top it off, they have raised their prices!! Since I have lived in Whitehall for the past eight years, the prices for trash collection has tripled!!When is the community going to come together and do something about Local Waste Services?? We are being ripped off, and provided with terrible service!! And if you have to call them, you are provided with total attitude by girls that have no business in customer service!!I guess I will have to call the Mayor’s office in order to get anything done about this.

Today was my day to be serviced for trash and recycling pickup.This is the second week in a row my trash wasn’t picked up. I called at 9:40 am after they came and collected the trash from each side of my neighbors and not mine. Included a picture of them while they were here but did not collect my trash.I called again at 3:00 pm and was told a work order was put in and they would be here to pick it up around 5:30.NO ONE CAME AND PICKED IT UP!!!Since Monday is a holiday, I cannot contact anyone till Tuesday.

ZERO STARS. I moved into a new home in July and since I’ve moved here they HAVE NOT picked up my trash. THATS 3 MONTHS of trash, piling up. Where am I supposed to put it? My boyfriend has emailed them several times, no response. The worst service ever I’ve never had this problem anywhere else that I’ve lived! I’m paying quarterly for them to pick up my trash, what am I actually paying for?

They do not even know the drivers routes! they are generally pretty good, but there are times they miss yard waste. I call them and they insist everything should be placed in front by driveway. yet they only pickup in the back for us and all neighbors. they send someone out and get a picture of nothing at the front of the house.... Duh! I guess I should start putting it out front so it does not get picked up. call and let them come out and get it separately. maybe they would learn the routes at some point....

I had yard waste at the end of my driveway for pickup. I understand why they didn’t pick it up because it wasn’t bundled. I called to see if I could schedule a pickup and was told yes but it would be within 24 hours and that it needed to be bundled . I complied with what they ask and they never showed. I called and was told they didn’t have a truck in the area and that one would not return till the following week. My issue is telling someone you’ll do something and then not following through with your words. It’s horrible customer service. I asked to speak with dispatch snd was told they don’t take calls. Completely unprofessional by Heather who is in customer service.

We purchased two pizzerias in Grove City, Tammys Pizza. Local Waste took great care of us as a customer. Republic had trash removal there previously. They chose to raise their prices - for us as a brand new customer - and proceeded to tell us that our bill of sale for the business required us to stay with them and sign their contract .Of course, that is not the case. Local Waste quoted a great price and made sure we had containers on-site, within a few days, so that we could continue business no matter when the other company removed their units. They would bring my trashcan back ro my house after having shoulder surgery. Ive learned to ask the truck driver questions about how furniture & mattresses should be prepared in order to be picked up or any questions. When Ive called the office with questions, they would say it was up to the drivers discretion. Ive learned to always ask the driver with any questions. If I was accidentally skipped with a trash pick-up, which was only once, they would come back the same day. Best trash service in my opinion.

Every week, its the same thing. We have a sidewalk to put the trash cans on, but instead of putting them back where they get them from, they toss them behind our cars. We make sure to watch them, and we take pictures each time. We watched the guy this morning just shake the cans to see if they felt full, and ended up leaving trash in one of our cans. Always unprofessional, and too lazy to simply put the trash cans back on the sidewalk.

Theyve been picking up my trash and yard waste for 3 years now no problem. However, the past 3 months I have had 4 missed pickups on my recycling. Trash is removed no problem but the recycle bin gets missed. In Grove City.Edit: changing to a one star review because they didnt pick up the recycling yet again. Now this is 2 weeks in a row...

I I have used Local Waste for nearly 8 years and have never had any issues. We moved 3 weeks ago and are still waiting on delivery of new cans. They have told me 3 different dates for the delivery and called again this morning to speak with a manager and of course no response. Horrible experience and I will be going with another company if they dont arrive today. Worst experience ever!!!

They received exclusive Granville Township franchise for trash removal some years back. Have found them to be reliable and easy to work with. Even to the small things like picking up bits of trash that escape while being dumped into truck compactor. Also found the personnel to be cordial and polite.

My trash was not picked up this past Monday. I called and the lady who answered said they would be out by the end of the business day....they never came. So my husband called this morning and they said they will get it by the end of the day...4 pm came and nothing. I called and the lady said, well we leave at 5 but the trucks are still running. Nope. Our trash is still sitting out front. If this is not removed tomorrow I will be reporting this company. How stupid can you be.

Once every month or two they fail to collect your trash. The trash guys fail to put your cans in your yard, they leave them in the street where you park. If you have bulkier items not in a can it is 50-50 they will grab it as they are supposed to. Lazy

On 6/26/21 The collection crew threw away and destroyed one of our 3 month old 95 gallon trash cans. Local Waste Services refused to replace our can and offered a $30.00 credit for a $75.00 can. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told that I was talking to one. When I asked for to speak with her supervisor, I was told Thats the owner and he doesnt take inbound calls.We fired them today.

11 yr customer, have to cancel for price going from $27 to $67 over a decade of increases and the auto renewal was 4-1-20. Since I did not give 60 days notice by 1-23-20 they said I can give 60 days notice now and they will only charge me the next 11 months with continued service....Like I know in 3-5 months I will need to cancel and can predict the future.... way to be great Carson, This is to a long term customer thats never been late and auto-draw. They tried to offer $30 with another 3 yr contract.... what! $30 offer... and Im paying more than dbl...why did I not just get rate increases if they can offer that? WT@#.They are on time the only positive I have except they are messy. I have it on camera in November their team breaking the wheels off my can that I have now dragged a 100 yards to get it picked up the last 5 months. I have received different answers for can replacements with being charged and now they say its free and have no records of my calls. By the time I was routed to the manager for my account finally I gave him some unprofessional expressions of what I needed and the fact he didnt know why I was transferred to him after giving detailed descriptions to the main operator was very frustrating. The Manager blew me off and said the contract is the contract..... Nice job guys

The trash collectors didnt get my trash, so I called to complain. The customer service girl Megan said there were no notes as to why the trash wasnt picked up, so it must have been picked up. I said I had time stamped pictures of the trash can on the curb with my trash in it. Megan said she would schedule a one-time courtesy pick up. I said that was unacceptable, and her attitude was unacceptable. I wanted this issue addressed with the driver so it doesnt happen again. She said it doesnt matter what I want. They have a contract with the township so there is nothing I can do.

We have had several occasions where our trash has not been picked up but the rest of the street has. I finally called and they “pulled the cameras” but according to them my trash wasn’t out when they came (although it was and they took our recycling). I’m not usually one to write bad reviews of businesses but this is extremely frustrating and at this point I’m not sure why I’m even paying for their services.

They have failed to pick up my trash 3 out of the past 5 weeks. Today I called to have them come and pick it up and was told they will not come and get it due to I didnt call within 24 hours. I was actually told that it would be inconvenient because they are not in Hilliard. Therefore I have to be inconvenienced with an overloaded garbage can as a result of their mistake. Ridiculous policy!

I am not a customer but I live and work in a region where they provide services and I cannot say anything bad. They service a busy road during an extremely busy time and handle it well. As the driver stops to allow the runner to grab the can, the driver is directing traffic around the truck. Then, they switch positions and the driver runs to the next stop on foot to grab the can while the other guy drives and gets out to direct traffic. This continued for several stops until I got around them. Again, I dont have their services so not sure about billing disputes or other service related issues but they appear to be working hard and care about their jobs.

My business has used Local Waste for over 15 years. We are extremely pleased with the level of service we receive. As a manufacturing company, we constantly need our large roll-off dumpsters emptied - sometimes just a day or two after our normal pick up day. Local Waste makes it easy and is very flexible with our fluctuating needs. I would recommend them to anyone.

The new driver is very rude and cant drive, they refuse to come down my lane because it is narrow and they cant back out, so instead they walk down and drag our trash, spilling trash everywhere and breaking glass, etc. They dont clean it up and refuse to take items like mattresses etc. Because they dont want to carry them, and when I offered to carry it to them they still were rude and refused. When calling to get it straightened out were told they were right, they are aware of the messes they leave and now will have to wait another week to get the mattress removed. Unprofessional and very rude! We did not have these issues with the previous drivers/collectors.

We had Waste Management and bow our town has a contract with Local Waste Services. Customer Service reps (when they answer their phones) are rude and unhelpful. I received a PAST DUE statement before i even received my first bill. They suspended our account and many of those on our street because none of us received any bill... just the past due service statement. Now Ive received another past due statement.Also not quite sure what the difficulty is in putting the trash bins back where they were. Instead these guys take my bins and then throw them horizontal in my driveway??? I called to complain about this and was told not to worry bc if the guys break my bins, they will replace at no cost?? How bout we just not throw them around boys!If i could give them less than a 1 star, I would have. Horrible horrible horrendous service.

They have been amazing. I think they missed us 1x in 15+ years. They take everything we set out - literally everything. We had a house fire and after moving back in we had a HUGE amount of stuff and there have been some other times over the years we have had a large quantity - like filling up the area between 2 driveways and they have taken every single item. I left a one star review at first due to a horrible customer service experience where they decided it would be okay to charge me $75 for missing equipment instead of fully looking into the issue. A supervisor did call me back same day and we got the issue resolved which I am happy about.The reason I am still only giving 3 stars is because if the original CSR is correct and they sent someone out to my house to pick up a trash can three times I simply do not understand why their standard operation procedures wouldnt be to have someone pick up a phone and call me to figure out why I hadnt put the can in a public location for pick up as Im the one that requested they take it. If they had done that we could have gotten this issue fixed before there was a billing error and agitation on anyones part.

First off this is the waste service that the now replaced twp trustees picked with out consulting the local residents.....Well, a sad story if customer service. Trash hasnt been picked up in three weeks. A week or two isnt that unusual the truck drivers seem to pick if its your week or not. Well its three weeks and the cans are over flowing.Time to call the office. Well the reps hung up on me twice and finally spoke to a person who said she would look into it.Seems they have no record of payment since July, really? My bank statement says other wise.....send us a copy......so how about a credit for the three weeks you didnt pick up my trash? We might be able to work with you on that.......wait a sec. Let’s start with them not picking up my trash for 2 weeks “because the can was too heavy” me, a woman drug it up the driveway just fine but apparently it was too heavy for the what, 3 men? That collect. After I complained about this they decided to THROW my cans away and refused to acknowledge it or replace them. And now I’m forced to put my bags on the curb because I’m not buying a can from them since they threw the last THREE I’ve bought away. And now they decided to be rough with my bags to the extent of them ripping and then left almost all of the trash on the ground in front of my house. I am NOT happy. Calling the company gets you nowhere but to a woman who is extremely rude and basically tells you to deal with it. I absolutely would never recommend this company to anyone. And I will be finding another company to collect my trash. One that has some respect for other people!

Would NOT recommend! Tried to cancel service 2yrs ago and they didnt record my call in. Now, theyre saying that we have an outstanding balance and went to collections. DIDNT HAPPEN. They would rather sit on their $91 collection than reinstate our monthly service. NOT A SMART BUSINESS PRACTICE.

I had a great experience with Local Waste the second time around. The office girls I talked to were very nice and worked everything out. When I called in to have it discontinued due to moving everything went great. Not sure what happen since last year, but things seem to be a lot better at Local Waste. I would recommend anyone that had a bad experience trying them again, because I feel it will be a better experience.

I use them for multiple properties and have not had an issue besides sometimes they are slow to notify me if a tenant has not paid the bill. However, they are always very prompt in responding to both calls and emails and have alway fulfilled any requests for additional and/or bulk pickups.

These guys are horrible! They make a bigger mess than they’re worth at certain locations usually landlords when people move out have to clean up for hours after them. They make the community look horrible with the mess they leave their drivers are uncourteous and will block an entire road and leave you stuck behind them as you’re trying to get to work. If you have other options definitely go that way

Beware: Using their website to get a quote results in them starting service without your permission. I went to their website for a quote and submitted a form. Someone emailed me stating service was started on January 12, 2018. That email ended up in my spam folder and I didnt see it. A few months later, I was contacted by a collection agency saying I owed over $100. I contacted Local Waste Services and they took approximately half of the bill. I spoke with Amber Cattran. I informed her that the email had ended up in spam. I informed her that I was only looking for a quote. I informed her that I never set my trash out for collection. I informed her that I never received a bill because they did not send it to the PO Box I provided. The US Mail does not deliver to my rural address. The post office provides me with a PO Box. I am now being told that I must pay a bill for service that I never agreed to having. Avoid this company at all costs. BBB complaint has been filed.

Just moved and switched trash pick up companies. I called customer service to put the service in my name and Laura was super helpful. She was very quick and the process took maybe 1-2 minutes, and no wait times. Laura was helpful and super friendly. Our trash has been picked up on time without any issue.

Seems like once a month they leave the can in the road. Wouldnt be an issue so much if we didnt live on a hill in the country. You dont see it till you come over it. Just dont want someone hitting it and getting hurt.

The worst ever do not use. Horrible trash pick up if the do it at all. Their online bill payment does not accept their own account numbers as being valid. When you do pay with an alternate electronic service they lose the payment. Then the best or worst part is after you cancel them they continue to bill you and hassle you with phone calls 24/7 for a bill you do not owe.I would give them zero stars if I could

Weve had Local Waste for almost 3 years and generally have had a good experience but... this is the 2nd time in three weeks that our garbage has not been picked up (and we were out of town last week)! The driver is falsifying his/her documentation and saying that we didnt have it out at the road. This is simply not true. This service isnt free and so I expect the service provider to uphold their end of the agreement. Now we have to wait for route manager to call us which is 1-2 days and its a weekend so we may or may not get our garbage picked up today or Monday. Unacceptable! Yes, my husband has called and received this response which is a ridiculous excuse for customer service. Time to look for a new garbage collector.

Gotta love when they pick up your trash and throw your trash can away with it. I called to complain, and got told that the driver didnt remember anything unusual from the route (of course they wouldnt admit it, and highly unlikely you got ahold of the specific driver for my route and asked the question in the 30 second time frame). Them I got told that maybe someone stole it, have you considered renting one of ours? Lets see, I have my own for a reason and I highly doubt that someone took mine since it is older and had seen better days. So needless to say, nothing in any form of compensation.

Threw a brand new can in the compactor while I watched - refused to replace it. We watched the truck break the handle on a can we paid $150 for two months ago. The guy then picked it up and threw it in the compactor. I contacted the company to be told the BEST they would do is LOAN me one. Horrible service and the supervisor refused to take my call.

It took weeks to get new cans! In fact we had to go AND PICK THEM UP OURSELVES! RIDICULOUS! The only reason why we use this company is because my area is contracted with them.

I live on a busy street and every Friday I am behind the LWS truck on my way to work. They really hustle hard - rain or shine - and try to get out of our way. I was seriously impressed with their hard work. They also turn on the next street each time to reduce the backup on the busy street. Good work!

They overcharged me on several occasions and when I have called the excuse given was the girl who used to work here messed up a bunch and was fired yet nothing was resolved. I just had to call again about delinquent payments being reported on my property tax bill which should never have been and the customer service rep only wanted to talk over me. When one works for Local waste, if you RIP a brand new Kenworth up AND take out the light pole!!! Your job is SECURE!!! Tear up a truck YOUR GOOD!!! But show up to work NEVER MISS a day!! Advise the radio room that a compactor has to be moved 2 feet up. You will get fired!! Not even STATE HIGHWAY ODOT likes these people. Tried to schedule a bulk pick up after they didn’t pick up my yard waste on my scheduled day and was told it would be picked up on my next service day. They didn’t get it the first time, why should I believe they would pick it up the next time?!?!Customer service was very rude as well.City of Columbus would allow a scheduled bulk pick-up. Not LWS!!Follow up:They told me they didn’t have an extra truck just for bulk pick up yet one just came by my house the next day and grabbed the items I had out but I didn’t have the rest out because they said they couldn’t do it until my next service day (not today). Train your customer service to know what the heck they are talking about. Extremely irritated!!!2nd follow up:I have not had any major issues since the above incident. They could use the wheels on the trash cans instead of dragging the cans on the bottom across the street AND place my neighbors trash cans back in their yard and not put them in mine but overall better.

2 year update. HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO CALL AND COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR DRIVERS LEAVING OUR CANS IN THE ROAD? This company destroyed my cans. I complained their response was I must have had a cheap can. The can I had was about $95 from home Depot. I then agreed to get two toters off of them. I paid up front for 6 months and never got a bill they stated one was sent I never received it. They sent it to collections for 35 bucks. I paid it they said theyd bring my cans back then next bill was sent including pick up fees and delivery fees I called back and they said yep. Thats our fees. I stated they said they would send them back not my request. They then sent it to collections. So I am going door to door to all my friends and neighbors to make sure everyone knows the type of company we are forced to deal with in this town. So needless to say they have my cans back. They are a joke. Now they will be picking up bags.

Guys leave trash on the ground, leave containers in the road laying down or in the neighbors yard. Customer service is an absolute joke. They come at all different hours and drive up and down one way roads the wrong way. Furthermore, theyre based in Michigan, we live in Ohio. Id rather my money stay local.

While Ive not experienced problems with billing or the pick-up of items set out according to LWS and Grove City policy, I have experienced issues with careless handling of containers after being emptied, especially recycle bins. On many occasions, the container was placed in the middle of my driveway entrance such that I had to stop my car in the street to go move it. Also, I witnessed the (driver) who emptied the recycle bins throw the emptied bins back into a couple of yards from the middle of the street and kicked mine toward my driveway, which he missed, and left it in the street. I have two bins and both have suffered extensive damage due, I presume, to such treatment. I appreciated that the person who was riding on the back of the truck took the extra 2 or 3 seconds to place the containers he emptied back in the yards rather than toss them.

We live in a rural area where weather conditions and winds tend to be high with an element of wild animals. The driver/collector who picks-up ALWAYS neatly places the receptacles side-by-side in an area where they are less likely to blow over or get knocked over by animals. I appreciate what they do, and attention and foresight. On the other side, I have called customer service on many occasions for recycling receptacles without response over a period of a year! I drive 2 xs a week, 10 miles to recycle. It would be nice if Local Waste would give consumers needed resources to be socially responsible and kinder to our environment.

I was charged $20.00 for incorrectly entering my account number but they could not verify the number entered. They said that is the returned check fee charged by the bank. How do you charge a fee for an account that doesnt exist!!!

Threw recycling bins and trash cans away,every week they kick and throw my bins everywhere when Ive called in they say I call all the time complaining,they have made obscene gestures at me in and cussed at me in front of my grown daughter and small grandchildren I also have some of this on recording which I do plan to post on social media, Iam very disabled and my 11 and 10year old grandsons are the ones who take it down for me because I cant this has been going on weekly for over a year.I have cancer and Im in heart failure and not supposed to be stressed but they cause an extreme amount of it,by the way the trash men do a good job its the recycling men that are the issue and when I called into discuss these issues they said our manager will call you they never did, they always pick me up last like 4:45 who treats a dying woman this way they do Im tired of watching them do this in front of my little grandkids they look at me confused ..Who to complain to?????Anyone,it needs to stop now....??I want to yell out at them this is how you treat a disabled dying woman but why should I they should be doing their job not acting any way they want but I will continue to record them and post on social media can anyone help??

These people suck, they came through our neighborhood today, its a Saturday because everything is delayed from memorial day, and they didnt pick up our trash! Our neighbors and everyone got their trash picked up and the trash guys didnt even pick ours up. They even saw it and then passed us by! This is a big deal, but it gets worse, we have a graduation party on Sunday, and now we will not have a place for our trash to go. Shame on LWS they are horrible, and I couldnt even contact them because guess what, its a Saturday, and all the offices are closed. If your reading this I definitely dont recommend these people, they suck

I had six bags of yard waste that the regular trash guys did not pick up. I called to ask why as just the previous they had picked up a bag. During a very nice conversation with the company, they explained why they did not pick up the yard waste and offered to send out a special pick up for the yard waste. They the same day. I think this is great customer service.Thank you,

Had a local waste trash truck pull out in front of me on rt 158, when i was less than 60 yards from him,(on a straight stretch) when i was traveling at 55 mph! I almost hit him, sad thing is he stared me in the eyes when he did it, so i call local waste but its all autonomous, i guess if i hired wreckless drivers and put um in 10 ton death mechine i wouldnt answer the phone either. I still doubt after writing this i will hear from them, they hire careless poeple and dont have phone number to call when the drivers are trying to cause accidents.sad thing is i have a dashcam they will be able to see how and why im so upset, he intentionally pulled across my lane slowly witha big smile on his face. If i hear from them ill take this down, so if your reading this you know Local waste legitimately dont care who and how trucks they own are driven! I dont want a reckless driver in a 10 ton death mechine coming in my neighborhood, needless to say i wont have them pick up my trash especially if i can get ahold of anyone to rectify the issue of a reckless driver.

Please leave the hours of service on your voice mail when there is a holiday so people will know whether there is a scheduled day for pickup or that the holiday is being observed all the company is worried about is getting the information out on how to pay a bill!!!!!!

This company is in need of investigation from DOT. More than 75% of the drivers and loaders are on drugs. There is a serious opiate crisis taking place at this company. The drivers and loaders are using while working which can be very unsafe. When someone is picked by DOT random they warn them ahead of time to get clean. If they can switch out the choice of person they will pick someone they know isnt using. They hire back everyone they fire. The hours worked are extravagant and not DOT regulated. They have a registered sex offender in the office who drives around school zones of all local waste contracted areas. Someone should really look into these issues.

I cant believe I see all these bad comments about Local Waste. They have always been an excellent trash hauling company in our neighborhood. The men working are always courteous. They take everything I put out at the end of my driveway. I just want to make sure that my opinion was included. People dont always tell the good about something but they will never forget the bad. Really..no stars for this company. They have the WORST customer service. Billing is a mess and they dont stop arguing. Be careful e-mailing, they will blow up your inbox on how they are right and the customer is wrong. Quite unprofessional team.

Called in about them not taking the start of my shed tear down. I didnt have much ready so very minimal. The driver left it and when I called to ask the very monatone receptionist made sure to appologize that I felt disappointed even after I pointed out that I let the small things go like them braking my trashcans. They are kind of a waste pick up company but not really.

I am forced to use this trash company. I have made arrangements to pay bills that have been late, and they have still sent it to the city, with no documentation of the phone call in which they agreed to a payment arrangement. Yes it was my fault I forgot to pay the bill. I have also had to call them for three weeks in a row to have them come back out to pick up my recycle. They have had to enter in a special work order to make sure their haulers dont forget to get my recycle. My question is why do they have to be reminded? I have also not been offered any kind of prorate on the weeks I have had to call and ask for my recycle to be picked up. I am highly unsatisfied with this company. They also do not get the regular trash in my neighborhood until late in the evening. I often see broken down trucks throughout Grove City. WORST trash company ever.
