Nancy altered my wedding dress and it was beautiful! The cups were too big and she sewed them to make them smaller and you would never even know the dress was altered! She re-sewed all 100+ of my buttons, made a bustle and hemmed the slip of my dress. My dress was beautiful and everything I could have asked for! Highly recommend.

I had my wedding dress altered and they did a beautiful, perfect job in a short amount of time (less than a month)! This was in early 2021 when all businesses were reeling from the pandemic and trying to keep up with a resurge in business. They worked with me to create a bustle, add sleeves, and take in the bust area. They did all that even though I didnt realize I had to make an appointment. I showed up and they still fit me in, because they were understanding that I was in a dire situation. They have the utmost customer care and professionalism. I will always use them!

I brought my MOH dress in a few weeks out from the wedding and they did a fantastic job with it. I needed the leg slit closed off, the chest brought in, and a toe length hem. It came out PERFECT and was ready before the original pick up date. I cannot say enough good things about my experience!

Nancy did a wonderful job on two bridesmaids dresses that I needed altered. Not only did she do an amazing job, she did it quickly! When I initially went in, I was in and out within 20 minutes. When I went back about a month later, she had both dresses ready for me even though the second wasn’t set to be picked up for another month! NOT WORTH THE $. I paid $100 for hemming/shortening the straps and the dress doesnt lay correctly on my bust now. I was told to pick up my dress at 6pm. I called at 4:30 to make sure it was ready today and the seamstress said she had to leave at 5pm all the sudden, even though the store is supposed to be open until 7pm. I was 25 minutes away.. in traffic...I rushed over just in time, only to find that their alterations made the dress not lay flat now? Unacceptable. She told me to tape it. WORST SERVICE.

Very nice clean place. The women were very welcoming! To get my dress hemmed it was 45 and they steamed my dress at no extra charge. They made sure my dress was ready in time for prom. My dress looks great! Would highly recommend.

I had my wedding dress hemmed (removing the train) for a mini wedding. She nailed it on the first try, steamed the dress for free, and charged a third of what the boutique had quoted me six months previously. After the wedding, I brought a handful of dresses and tops in, some with quite complicated seams. She was upfront about what was possible and what wasnt, what different options would cost, and why. One item needed an adjustment when I came to pick them up and she did it on the spot for no additional charge. In the end, I left happy!

I brought them a very form fitting bridesmaid dress that needed to be taken out two inches and even though the straps were very complicated and would have inhibited anyone else from altering the dress, they worked their magic and the dress fit perfectly! My bridesmaids dress was a little too tight. It wouldn’t zip and it was past the return date. She was able to alter it in the back without even being able to tell that anything was done even though the back was kind of open and complicated. I also had the bottom trimmed down because they’re always too long... A little expensive but worth it if you want something done perfectly like that!

My oldest daughter had her wedding dress altered here 10 years ago and now my 2nd daughter is having her dress altered. They are the best and so friendly. They do great work and I highly recommend them.

Love this place! I contacted a few different alteration places and no one would do the only thing I wanted done which was take in my wedding dress. Everyone else wanted to add a bustle and all of this extra stuff that I didn’t want to pay for. The lady here is wonderful. She did exactly what I wanted for a very reasonable price. I’m very happy. Plus they have garment bags you can buy for 10$ which is great since I needed one!

I placed the task of taking a size 12 dress and altering it to be a size 2! Another place I called refused to even try, but she did this no problem! Not only do Nancy and her coworker do AMAZING work. They are incredibly friendly. I’ve been to multiple tailors in Columbus and Perfect Alterations is by far the best. Nancy remembers who you are (maybe not by name but she remembers a face) and that is always a plus. Some other comments say she’s maybe a little rude, I haven’t experienced that. But her work speaks for itself. I would recommend her to anyone.

The team at perfect alterations are great. They take the time to make sure you are happy with the length and style desired. I even took a pair of my favorite pants that the zipper had busted out in and had them repaired. The new zipper looks great and is more durable than the first! Pricing is also very reasonable. March 9, 2019 - Wonderful ! today I stopped in just before closing to get a button sewn onto a favorite, older sweater. They were very nice, and said yes, we can do that. The young lady asked me to wait and in a few minutes All Done ! Last year they install a new very durable heavy duty zipper on my Carharts heavy winter coat. Perfect job, and no problems with alignment, zipper accuracy, zipper function in all these months.

We stopped by when they were CLOSED with three hours to go before our engagement photos! I had bought a gown the evening before with no way to alter....it had a makeshift, duct tape hem! Nancy was generous enough to open the door and properly hem my gown! Our photos were a success! That is top-notch service! We cannot thank you enough for helping make our day perfect!! I highly recommend!! I have never needed anything hemmed in my life and I was unsure of where to go. I took my wedding dress to Perfect Alterations based on all the previous positive reviews left by brides. My dress is heavy with all-over pearl and crystal beading, so I was more than a little nervous to have it taken in by over 4 inches, but Nancy did an amazing job! My dress fits perfectly, and the bustle looks gorgeous. She even helped me pick out the right shoe height so I wouldnt have to have it hemmed. She was also a lot of fun to work with, and this part of the wedding planning process was absolutely stress-free. I could not have asked for a better alteration team than Perfect Alterations to tackle the alterations of my wedding gown. They did such an outstanding job on a not so easy task. My dress had a scalloped lace bottom that was way to long. They had to cut off the lace, shorten 5+ layers of tool and lace, then sow the scalloped bottom back on. It turned out absolutely beautiful. They also had to fix the bust, waist, and lace shoulder strap. I would trust them to accomplish just about anything. Timing to complete everything was also very reasonable, I believe they even finished my dress early! Fantastic job!

Nancy performs miracles in this little shop! I got my wedding dress from Wendys that was 3 sizes too big. Due to the patterns and sequences on the dress, this was an incredibly difficult tailoring job, but Nancy did it BEAUTIFULLY! I bought a wedding dress online and when it finally arrived it was 2 sizes too small! (Even though I sent my measurements during the order...ugh!) I love the dress and I didnt didnt have time to return it and wait for a new one, so I brought the dress to Nancy. Luckily, there was some fabric to work with in the dress, and she was able to work her magic. She took it apart and pretty much made a new dress for me! When she was done...it fit like a glove! I couldnt have been happier. She also didnt charge much for the amount of work she did. Very happy customer :)

I took a Lands End winter coat in that needed the zipper replaced. The work was done really well and by the due date. I would recommend this place for any alteration as the work is first class.

I love this place, and I have been getting my clothes tailored here for almost 8 years. I have had everything tailored here - dresses, pants, shirts, jackets- and they have all been a perfect fit afterward.

Ive taken pants in to be hemmed in the past and been happy; this dress however was a different story. I took in an expensive, lined, cotton summer dress to be hemmed. It had a perfectly straight, non-puckered, blind hem when I bought it. When I got it back it had a puckered, crooked hem that is plainly visible (the lining is worse than the dress) and its not even the length I asked for. Definitely not the quality I expected and I wont be going back.

I found this place online and after reading the reviews I was very excited to give it a try. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and needed the dress within 2 days. The lady who helped me was great when I went in and I appreciated her for taking my dress last minute. My dress was 5 inches too long, so I needed the hem to be taken up. It was a chiffon dress with a slip (2 layers).I was charged $55, which I was okay with because there was urgency in the dress being ready within 2 days and the seamstress was willing to do it. However, when I went to pick up the dress, I tried it on and was very disappointed with the results. The slip was longer than the outside layer and one side of the front of the dress was longer than the other. The seamstress apologized and shortened the slip within 5 minutes. I was happy about that, but when I mentioned and showed her that one side was still longer than the other, she kept trying to convince me that the dress was going to be that way because of the ruffle on the side. I dont agree with that because when I bought the dress, with the ruffle and all, both sides were even.She was busy with another customer and seemed to want me to just move on and take my dress. I didnt have time to push for her to fix it because I had to head out of town right away for the wedding. I ended up taking a dress with me that had one side longer than the other in the front.Davids Bridal was going to charge me $40 to shorten the hem, but they wouldnt take me in last minute. $55 was overpriced, in my opinion, but I was willing to pay it because no one else would take me at such short notice. However, paying so much for a hem was not worth it. The seamstress was a nice lady, but I was very dissatisfied with the work. Im not angry or upset, Im just very disappointed. I expected so much more for what I paid. I will not return to this place nor will I recommend it.

I felt so strongly about my great experience, I had to post my very first Google review! Ive been a customer of Perfect Alterations over the years for various alterations & clothing repairs and have always been pleased. With that said, I was still nervous to take my wedding dress in for much needed alterations. The dress had to be hemmed multiple inches or I would have tripped, not walked, down the aisle. And the entire bottom half of the dress was chiffon and could snag just by looking at it wrong, VERY delicate fabric. Nancy knocked it out of the park - the dress was PERFECT!! People who saw it before and after couldnt believe how great the alterations looked, as they knew how much it had to be hemmed. THANK YOU to Nancy for helping take the stress out of my big day and assuring my dress was beautiful - and safe - to take that important walk down the aisle. My husband & I wont take our clothing any place but Perfect Alterations - they are stuck with us :)

I needed my daughters wedding gown bustle fixed at the last minute just one week before the wedding. They fixed in just a few days, just in time for the wedding, and the bustle was gorgeous. I highly recommend Perfect Alterations.

They altered my dress to be a bit too small- ripped when I came in to try it on months after I had dropped it off with just a few weeks until the wedding. They still charged full price for alteration- I would not send any friend here. They were able to fix it just barely- the dress looked different after the repair. The worst part- they said that they wouldnt charge me for fixing the dress they damaged. Great, thanks a lot!

The day I bought my dress (which was $1,800) I was told alterations would be another $700 upfront (they hadnt even made it yet so who knew if it really needed to be altered at all!) I decided to take it to a different place to get it altered. When I finally picked up the dress, I was terrified when I first tried it on because it was nearly two sizes too big in every place! The top part of the dress had shear to hold the shoulders in place and it was completely loose instead of tight to my skin so no one could see it from a few feet away. It was too long, too loose at the torso and bum, the chest didnt fit in any area, however, Perfect Alterations was amazing!!! I wish I had a before and after picture but I was so close to crying I wouldnt let anyone snap a picture of me. She completed all of my alterations with absolutely terrific customer service and quality and super quick too. I would 100% recommend Perfect Alterations to any bride-to-be.

I got married this past June and I ordered my wedding dress from a popular store after being fitted for it 6 months in advance. It arrived late and was too small. There wasnt enough time to take it back to the store to have it fixed or to go out and find another dress. I was in tears. I took it to Perfect Alterations where they were able to do MAJOR alterations on the dress so that it not only fit perfectly but looked like it had never been altered. I was able to pick up the dress a few days before the wedding and it was beautiful. They can really work miracles!

Called into this store, clearly not a professional “business” at all, I got hung up on while asking a question about something I needed alterations for. The lady was extremely rude, will clearly never give them my business and neither should you. I can’t even imagine what they’d be like in person or letting them alter my clothing. Id give 0 stars if I could.

My wedding and reception dresses were - pardon the pun - perfectly altered! My wedding dress was originally about a half-size too big and very intricate with several layers; the tailoring was flawless! I highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing!!!! I was so impressed and delighted that I couldnt stop grinning when I went to pick up my outfit. I received a gorgeous lehenga choli (long skirt and short blouse) as a gift from an Indian friend--lots of brightly colored silk panels heavy with embroidery and little mirrors. Not only was the outfit unfinished, however, but it was entirely too large to the point that I would never have been able to wear it. But the owner was able to taper the skirt and the blouse without any puckering or visible seam (no easy task given the extremely decorative fabric), and the price was very reasonable for the amount of work required--under $100 for both pieces together, completed within two weeks. I will definitely be returning for future alterations!

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience! I have never written a review for any product or service but in this case I suddenly feel compelled. ZERO stars should certainly be an option! I walked in with multiple articles of clothing needing various alterations. After I explained the necessary modifications, she stated she could not perform my requested services and as I continued to inquire why, she insisted it wasn’t possible. She was rude, unwelcoming in demeanor, tone of voice, unwilling to assist me in anyway whatsoever, (even when I compromised). It was obvious she had no intentions of providing paid services. The only reason I went there was because of good customer reviews, which is why it’s necessary to leave a negative review.

Horrible experience! Im a bridesmaid in a wedding and due to some health problems my dress is a little tight. I was told in front of the entire store that I should lose weight. Stop eating sugar she said. Who is she to know if there is even sugar to take out of my diet. She was rude and thats not how you run a business.I would have given them zero stars but thats not allowed.

The ladies do a wonderful job and just as important, they get the job done when they say they will!

I stopped in on Saturday to see about getting a floor-length bridesmaid dress hemmed. The woman who assisted me immediately started commenting about how complicated it would be due to the material & draping & quoted me $100. That was a hard enough pill to swallow, but since I only had 2 weeks until I needed to wear the dress, I decided to bite the bullet until she told me I had to pay upfront. I have never been asked to pay up front for alterations before. Maybe half, but never the full amount. When I told her i didnt have the money with me to pay upfront, she laughed like I was completely ridiculous for thinking I wouldnt have to pay ahead of time so I left. I quickly found another business that I was trying to avoid due to game day traffic who quoted me $45 for the work the only exchange of paper was the receipt he gave me to pick up. Payment due on pickup.

I went to them for a simple hem on dress, they charged me more than I paid for e original dress. I will never go to them again, I found a lady in the Southfield area who only charge me $30 to do the hem and had it back the next day.

They are very reliable, and fairly priced.

Worst horrible experiences!! I was asking her to make a minor change toy clothes, its simple job, the stuff here said they cant do it and kept finding excuses, finally they suggested me to give up the clothes and throw it away!!!what an awful thing! They cant do it because its simple and they cant make money from it. And the stuff there have horrible accent.Terrible!
