I took an old VW Scirocco there for an evaluation because it been sitting in a garage for over 20 years. I got an honest evaluation and they didnt charge me.

2016 VW GTI Autobahn.These guys have been awesome. Aaron has been in constant contact letting me know of any delays or any questions they have for me via phone or email. Master tech was even emailing a little in there with extra details when I asked.I had an issue with an exhaust leak due to the parts I supplied and they made sure to let me know before picking it up so I could address with the manufacturer and Im taking my GTI back next week for the full catback and intercooler too. Very professional crew and literally zero complaints at all.

Bottom Line Matt literally saved my 1988 Scirocco 16v. If you own a VAG product this place is a no brainer. Highly Recommend.

Ok service, price has gone up on basic oil changes and they do not offer free 5 point inspection when I went for my last oil change.

I was having problems with the convertible roof on my Audi. They were quick, professional, and honest during the diagnosis. The mechanic, Matt, checked all the power top systems. Very impressed with how easy it is to work with them. Some people have left bad reviews complaining about prices, but their hourly rate is very competitive. I will definitely use them again.

I took my Volkswagen in for a door locking issue and they fixed it fast! They did a great job and they are really friendly!

I love this shop! As a consumer who has felt other shops have tried to take advantage, I trust the work and the billing these guys do. The 4.7 rating speaks for itself. I moved out here from Cincinnati, where I only let one place work on my car, because they specialize in VW and Audi and run a great business, it seems. For over 2 years, my check engine light was on, almost constantly, and they just kept swapping out coils, telling me they go bad with the mods I have 🤔 Motorkars had my car for a half hour before they called me with what they thought was the issue. They did the research on my mods and figured out the tune up issue, and the car has ran better than it ever has since then (a month or so). Ill never take the car anywhere else in Columbus!

Working with Shawn and his courteous staff has been nothing short of stellar customer service and professionalism. I have taken my 2007 Audi A6 to Motorkars for a few years now and I have always been treated fairly and honestly. They only do the work that needs to be done and they do it right the first time and if by chance there is a problem they address it promptly and without question to make it right.They are always thorough and easy to work with. Honest, good mechanic who is the best VW and Audi guy in town. Very reasonable pricing. A bit hard to get an appointment and crappy waiting area, but thats the only negative. Nice to have a guy you can trust to do it right and who wont screw you over.

Had timing belt service done on our 2008 Audi A3 and it was quick and reasonably priced. Good communication on everything and in hindsight was better than having to deal with the $tealership. Plan on going back for all major maintenance work.

Great service provided for VWs. They have saved me tons of money compared to taking the car to the dealer. They have also saved me money by advising work would be covered under warranty service and provided detailed steps to contact VW customer service and file a claim to make sure the dealer covers the repairs. Dont like to spend money on repairs but know that these guys will not take advantage and recommend unnecessary repairs. Customer for life.

Friendly and honest -- I took my partners car here after another shop in town told me repairs would cost over 4K, and Motorkars guided me to the dealership where the issue was fixed FOR FREE as it was an issue involving a recall. If you have a Audi or a Volkswagen, this is the place to go!!!!I have a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta, and I have been working with the team at Motorkars for a couple of years now. I have had them do several repairs over the last couple of years, and I cannot stress enough how well I have been treated! They have saved me a ton of money versus the dealer, their customer service is better than almost any place I have been, and they genuinely take pride in what they do. I have been able to call with any questions I may have, and have received advice on what to do and what not to do. I have always felt well taken care of, the repairs have been great, and they have always gone the extra mile to take care of me. For instance, the most recent repair was done 2 days early and less than quoted because they were able to stay late and finish it. This saved me not only the cost of 2 days worth of rental cost but also a ton of time getting things organized.

Shop seems to really know their stuff. I was sent here by a local euro car dealer when I had issues with my VW days after purchase. Ive always had best luck with the dealership for service so I was skeptical. My skepticism was unfounded and I have been happy with their work. I fully intend to bring my VWs here for maintenance and custom aftermarket work. Prices seem fair and reasonable. From the cars in the lot it appears the crew drives what they work on. All good signs in my book.

We have been a VW only family and Motorkars customer for nearly 25 years. Motorkars has kept our cars (13 through the years) happy and humming. Mike, Shawn, Matt and all the staff provide outstanding service and information so that customers can make knowledgeable decisions about needed maintenance. If you drive a VW, bring it to Motorkars.

Charged me 147$ for an inspection on check engine light and ABS light and I did not know that until they called me and explained the problems. Before going there, I went to a lot of different repair shops, none of them charged me for any kind of inspection, and at the end of the inspection the guy was talking like I think, This may cause the problem. So eventually, I paid 147$ and I did not get a good picture of the problems. At the end, the solution: lets change this part (675$) and see if it works, then if it doesnt we can change the other part (1800$). I have been to a lot of repair shops, trust me, there are places which cost you almost half of the prices that some other places charge you. Dont give your car to the first repair shop that you stop by.

If you own a German car, forget the dealership! This is the place to go for service. I have been going to Motorkars for the better part of 15 years. They are very knowledgable and have never led me astray. In fact I had to replace the transmission in my VW new beetle after 155K miles. I couldnt quite afford the repair so they located a rebuilt transmission for me and then another place that could complete the repair cheaper (the place only did transmissions so the labor was cheaper). I have a Tiguan now and I will continue to take my car to Motorkars, because they are, trustworthy, knowledgeable and all around the best there is.

Ive gone to Motorkars for a number of years. Theyve been good when it comes to fixing problems and theyre always friendly. Unfortunately VW parts tend to be expensive and their labor rate is somewhat high due to the fact that they need to buy all those expensive specialized tools for European cars. Still, I would definitely recommend them.

If you have a German car then Take your car here!Ive had my Jetta for 3 years and started bringing it to these guys.They are all car enthusiasts who take a lot of pride in what they do.Ive spent quite a bit of time and money at this place, but my car has over 337,000 miles on it and still gets me 35-38 mpg.The money I spend here has been less than what it would take to buy a new car, but with any old car comes repairs and these guys know VW inside and out.These are by far THE BEST Volkswagen mechanics EVER! Ive had a Volkswagen for 3 years and bought it with 217,000 miles on it. It now has 347,000 miles on it and more to come thanks to these guys.LITERALLY any question I have for motokars gets answered in a knowledgable, patient, and customer service oriented way.This is their passion and they are the best at it.I love cars and every time I take my car into the shop for something I ask for information about what happened so I can learn something new and better prepare for the next time I have to deal with something. Its what you have to do when your car has over 300k miles on it.They go into the detail I need, show me how and why parts have failed, and explain what I need to watch out for in the future.Do I need to go on? Because I can...But I think you get the point.Take your Volkswagen or Audi to Motokars if you want it to last!

Never using this shop ever again! I have used them for many years for service on my VW and I will never make that mistake again. This shop was highly recommended to me through friends that have own VW and Audi vehicles.Last year I was changing my oil and I noticed a motor mount bolt had sheared off. (probably due to a front end accident a year before that). Had MotorKars remove and replace the bolt. They had failed to notice my radiator fans had stop spinning and on the way home my engine almost over heated. Which the weird part was I drove it to the shop with no problems. Total cost to replace the fans $800 dollar. My jaw dropped so hard it bounced off the floor. Now after I said I would never go back I went in for a loud engine and they are trying to sell me a part that may or may not fix the problem for $ 2,500 dollars.... for an engine that only cost $2,000 used. You do the math. Im towing my car some where else and having them take a look at it because Im not paying for a part that is double the cost of the engine that may or may not fix the problem. What a joke!Update: 4/28/14Car is repaired now and running great. Paid $2200 for a used engine and $800 in labor. It was going to cost over $4000 to have Motorkars replace the head. Which, the said may not fix it. Motorkars called me weeks after I post this review in attempt to cover up this post and saying they dont understand what Im talking about. If they call me again Im going to post quote.

This place is terrible. You call them and they never get back to you. Then when you finally take your car in they way over charge you for a mileage check-up and transmission fluid. When they couldnt do the transmission fluid (which I understood because they werent sure if they could) however they didnt call me to in form me and just continued with the mileage check-up. I would have told them not to bother and Ill just take it to the dealership. I normally take my car to the dealership but thought Id try the place closer to home. After paying $275 for the 60K checkup I called the dealership to find out it would have cost me $189 plus tax. I wouldnt recommend this shop to anyone as they WAY over charge, dont call you back and dont inform you if they cant do something once in the shop.
