Lived here for 2.5 years and never had any issues. The leasing office staff and manager were really nice and maintenance requests were handled in a timely manner. Very spacious for a 2 bdrm. Parking could be an issue at times but for the most part I was able to park close to my apartment.

We enjoyed staying here for almost 8 years. The current management and leasing team are awesome and the maintenance team always have been responsive to any of our maintenance needs. The property is well maintained and is very quiet. The apartments are lovely too. Each apartment floor plan offers something a little different from each other but our favorite floor plan was the garden apartment. Great place to live and centrally located to everything. It’s only less than 15 minutes to Easton and the airport and about a 10 minute drive to downtown.

This was my first apartment. moved here in May so its been 3 months. i absolutely love this apartment. the modern fixtures are nice. i think they should consider upgrading the appliances to really make it a luxury apartment. but my neighbors are working class so you rarely see them or hear them. everyone minds the business that pays them. very quiet area. right off of 70 west/east and 104. the move in process was very smooth, the set a date and that was that. i could see myself living here for a while. and security alarms are in every apartment. you pay an extra 20 dollars in your rent but its worth the security. the apartments are surrounded my trees and there is only one way in and one way out.

READ BEFORE RENTINGIn all leases for these apartments there is a requirement to give 60 days notice when you intend on moving out. even if your lease is over and you cant live there past a certain date. MAKE SURE YOU FILE THIS NOTICE, because otherwise as your moving out and trying to get on with your lives they will point to the lease and demand up to 60 days more rent, since you havent given notice

Bad place to live. Theres drug dealing going on late night and the maintenance is very lazy. I had ants everywhere and they could not even get rid of them. The apt is very over priced and the living room so small that you can not even fit nothing in there. All the youg kids that hang out across the street come over there late night and break in all the cars somebody was even on my back patio at 2am in the morning so save your money and definitely go somewhere else.

Pretty happy with the place, good price, unit looks good and feels spacious. Only real problem I have with it is the paint job on the ceiling, it looks like it was done by Stevie Wonder. Seriously, there is stray paint all over the place and it really takes away from how nice the place is.

Dont move here if you have two cars! Only one car per household! I now have to park my other car on the other side of the complex!!! How ridiculous is that!College Park is way over priced for what they offer. Save your money. The heating units always have issues. The ONE trash can for the whole complex is always overflowing into the street.Sloppy paint jobs in the apartment, I could go on and on. None of my complaints have been fixed by office staff, they always say we cant make everyone happy! WOW what a great response! Can not wait to leave.

I just went to view this property today and it was the worst experience for a future tenant to be in. Firstly, I completed my request for an apartment viewing online and via phone in order to have my information available and streamline the viewing process. This was my 2nd choice apartment however, due to timing, I was at the end of a week long inquiry/viewing of apartments in and around central Columbus and it was my 5th apartment viewing so I was pretty familiar with how it should go and what was required for me to produce for the viewing. Unfortunately, none of this mattered with Lloyd, the apartment manager/lead for this day. Upon entering the leasing office, Lloyd offered my family a seat. I politely declined assuming we would get into the viewing process since I all but faxed my ID to ensure a streamline viewing but, Lloyd has other plans. He requests all of my demographics again and seemed offended that I hand him over my ID so he can just see the spelling of ‘Ashley.’ I tell him that I’ve already completed this step—in hopes that he would look into his stack of papers in order to find it—instead he continues on with a new paper. Once he has this complete, he asks again what am I looking for and I advise “a two bedroom flat or townhome style. I would like to view them both, per my previous request” and Lloyd says “well, once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all” and presents the very untidy leasing office as the rental model. As we squeeze through the tightly fitting areas because desks and boxes are haphazardly laying about, Lloyd tells me how king sized beds are able to fit into the rooms. I tell him how you’d need a very good imagination to see that and he just chuckles and finds his seat again. Disappointed slightly, I ask Lloyd about the townhome throwing in “I’d like to actually see one” and he doesn’t miss a beat on leaning back in his chair and grabbing a portfolio to show me the same images from the website. I then completely say “Lloyd, I have viewed the pictures and I now want to see the actual apartment” and he proceeds to say “well I just showed you the two bedroom garden.” We go back and forth a bit about what apartment viewings are and how I am requesting to view the apartment and he literally NEVER GETS OUT OF HOS CHAIR. Ultimately, I advise how extremely disappointed I am over wasting my time and this is when he says “all you had to say was that you wanted to see the apartment. I can take you to see the apartment!” ...:/ I guess I should be thanking Lloyd because he helped me dodge a bullet because of this is how a viewing goes, I could only imagine how a serious situation would play out (unfortunately a lot better than I could with putting a king sized bed into those bedrooms). Save the headache and go somewhere that is more welcoming and less lazy.

Currently living here, and pleased with it so far! The main thing I have to rave about is the maintenance promptness. I have submitted about 4 different requests so far (nothing too urgent) and maintenance has responded to each one within 48 hours of request, and with online maintenance forms its even easier!! Much better sense of care from previous apartment complexes Ive experienced. And just to follow up on older reviews, I do believe the new management, Borror Properties, has brought much improvement and standard to the grounds. And parking has not been a problem for both me and my roommate (both have parking passes), and any visitors we have.

Have lived here for close to 1.5 years. 3 days after my arrival I had to board my dog/cat and flea bomb my car so the complex could flea bomb the unit. They had (poorly) repainted and put in new carpeting but fleas remained from previous tenants. They covered the cost. And last winter I had exterminators visit 3x for animals up in the attic area. (The cold weather had already brought birds into the walls). I have seen the office staff change 4x - I think. We now have another new property manager- the last one was extremely rude - I walked out almost in tears one day after bringing up a concern. Its nice that the outside of the buildings were finally painted- they were all turning green- and the promise of power washing and painting was long overdue. The parking lot desperately needs a good pave, and the trash compactor is constantly an overflowing issue. It would be nice to be informed of break-ins and security issues for the purpose of remaining vigilant. (A couple of times a week in the early morning a CPD unit does drive thru). I too find the maintenance guys to have a sketchy appearance but havent talked to them directly. I have a dog and do my best to always carry bags but there seems to be many dog owners here who do not clean up. The place is convenient for me for several reasons and the neighbors have been friendly. I just saw that FedEx delivered a package for me 2 days ago and the name that signed is not familiar to me... wondering why I didnt get any notice on my door or my mailbox about a package in the office...

Are you trying to rent this place? Oh no, please dont because you will think you are paying so much for something better but its the worst place to live for the price they charge. Manager unreasonable, place unsafe, unnecessary extra charges for things they need to take care of. And when you move out, they make sure they find something stupid to charge your account. I will never recommend this place to anyone, please use your $ to rent somewhere better!

I really liked this place when it was under Borror property (there were a few issues, not a lot). The new management is rude, and doesnt seen to care about the complex, there was a trash bag full of tissue in the parking lot, it had been laying there at least four hours, when I called the office they stated that someone was on their way to clean it up, that was at the two hour mark. I feel like the complex has gone down in a matter of a month. The old maintenance folks are gone, there are shady people in the office, one seen to be on drugs.

These apartments were well managed when Borrower Properties were in charge, the current management is rude, over talk the tenants, acts annoyed when the tenants have questions. In the short time that HPI have been in charge, there are various shady male characters that work out here, one of the rental assistants stated that they use temporary employees. The head maintenance guy leers at women, ask personal questions. We do not have police patrol or security, there have been several break ins. A few women have asked that pictures of the men that work out here be sent out in a memo, management stated that this is not a cost effective method for them.

To clarify some of the below reviews, please read the following: College Park Apartments are no longer managed by McKinley and have since switched to Borror which has improved practices, policies, increased approval criteria and a stellar maintenance staff. All units already come fully equipped with an alarm system, which was just replaced in May 2016. Parking policy is 2 cars per apartment, and we do strictly enforce parking policy. Please stop by to tour and check us out for yourself!

Did the whole quiet hours addendum get thrown out of the leasing contract for new residents? Its almost 12:00 a.m. on a Saturday night and my upstairs neighbors sound like they adopted a heard of elephants and gave them speed for dinner. Earlier this week they were apparently having a rock concert until 1:00 a.m. every night of the week... I cant even get Bexley Police to come deal with it since this is a private property. I have to be up at 6 a.m. to go to work and I have already banged on their door to try to get them to quiet down, but they ignored me. I am half tempted to call the emergency maintenance line and demand they send a property manager out to deal with them. This is absurd. I am NOT happy about this and this isnt the first time Ive had to deal with obsessively loud neighbors who dont seem to have to follow College Park rules...On another note, apparently theres no such thing as parking etiquette in this place either. Nobody seems to know how to park within the lines which makes it extremely frustrating when you come home after a long day of work to find all the parking spots filled by cars of people that dont even live here, but then people who do live here seem to take up two or three parking spaces.Another example of how poorly this apartment complex is run is by the fact that earlier this summer they were supposedly going to pave the entire parking lot and roads into this complex, but in the process they only put black top on top of that which is not paving the roads. There are still many potholes and cracks in the road which have done a number on my brand new tires. And dont even get me started on the paint job that they were supposed to have completed a few months ago. The gentlemen who came to clean the balconies and porches left everything a mess with little to no disregard about the types of messes they were leaving behind and the fact that the residents had to clean up after their sloppiness. The paint job isnt even that great and it looks like they half assed it just to appease management.I have many more concerns about this place but I think anyone who reads this will get the idea of how poorly this place is being taken care of...

So, it is weird to read the reviews on here. My husband and I lived there for 2 years. We had to move because we had a baby, not because we didnt like it. There was a review about cars: we have two cars, we parked right outside our apartment building. I never heard anything about forced entry into apartments. Nor did the staff every enter without a 24 hour notice. I did hear there were a few car break-ins, but that can happen anywhere when you park in a lot. Columbus police patrolled the complex every other day, so I never felt like there was a safety issue. There were no pests in our apartment, and we were never charged for pest control. We had no problem with the office staff. The maintenance guy is a little rough around the edges, but I think he may get hassled from tenants. He came to fix our a/c once and fixed the door as well just because he noticed it was loose.I do wish the tenants kept their children in check. We had young children running through the back of the apartment building past like 10pm in the dark. That must be the mom in me, but it didnt seem safe. There is a rule that dogs must be leashed when outside, and you must pick up after them. I know on multiple occasions I reported a neighbor because her dog ran around like crazy off a leash. I dont know how you enforce this rule, but this seemed to be my only issue.I do wish I saw them enforce the parking rules. Visitors parked in tenant parking all the time. It wasnt that big a deal, but some nights youd have to park further way.The complex really isnt that bad. The insides are nice and they were in the process of giving the outside a facelift as well. AND, our rent never went up while we lived there. I know some places jack up your rent after a year.

Where do I even start with this apartment complex management team? Absolutely awful. I lived here previously when Borror Properties managed these units and I had 0 issues. It seems as though I have had nothing but problems since I moved back into this complex in the spring. Management here is rude, lazy, and quite honestly doesn’t know how to do their job. Between move in complications, rent costs being inaccurate for consecutive months, creepy maintenance men, attitude over the phone (if they even answer the phone), failure to contact my utility companies so that I was charged for a unit that I wasn’t even living for, failure to set up the alarm system so that the only thing keeping me “safe” is a weak door lock.Once my lease is up in a few months, you can guarantee that I won’t be coming back here.

Lived here for two years (2015-2017). Apartment was broken into and we had our 60 inch tv, macbook laptop and PS4 stolen. Thankfully they didnt take our dog. During this time there were a lot of other break-ins taking place. Management had installed a security system but that was ineffective. They also seemed to care very little that this was happening. For example, theres one road to get in/out of the complex. All you have to do is install a camera at the entrance to record cars/license plates and boom, problem solved. The rent is cheap which is nice, but there are sketchy areas very close. If youre going to live here, I recommend getting a security camera or something of the sort.

Crawford & Hoying owned these apartments and was sold/bought by McKinley. McKinley is thee absolute worst. These apartments are no longer the desired place to live. They let anyone move in, they do NOT keep the ground clean, they do NOT complete maintenance request in a timely manner, they DO NOT cut the grass, they let the trash compactor fill to capacity and overflow. These are no longer luxury apartments! All of the respectable tenants are looking for a way out! Dont move here!!

This apartment complex is dangerous, there have been a lot of forced entries. I lived there for a year now and we were recently robbed, the apartment complex did nothing to improve security since.
