Hey, you all this is a must-see place. Truly it is. Maybe you can find it in your heart to bring some goodies for the cats and dogs there who are in prison. I went there and didnt want to leave. They have some beautiful cats and dogs. Im interested in a beautiful 4-year-old cat named Prince. So hands-off. Ha! Check this place out. Youll love it.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. We got a dog that was a perfect match & that will give of many years of great memories! Thank you all so much for each part everyone had involved. They treated the animals like they were their own!! Great with animals & people!! Will choose to go here before anywhere is if need be again!!

I just moved to the Columbus, Indiana area and at our new home there was an Orange tabby male cat. He was always outside in the parking lot of my apartments, but somehow managed to get into my apartment every night. He was coming in thru the dryer vent. My new give turned out to be his old one and his previous owners just left him. He is the sweetest and has the best personality Ive ever seen in a pet. We are keeping him, but so didnt plan on it financially. He chose us and we love him. The animal service center gave us a care package for our new furbaby. Including everything our baby Douglas needs to be happy and healthy! Thank you!!

Staff there is very friendly and all of them genuinely love animals. I took my cat to get neutered he stayed over night and had pick up in the morning. Prices were very affordable, I definitely recommend this place.

We adopted a cat,. The lady said she was good with other cats, she is aggressive and tries to bite me and my wife. Tried calling 8 times gets straight to voicemail. But website says best way of contact is phone. So makes no sense. We will be bringing cat back

Someone dropped a pregnant cat at my home. 4 days later she gave birth to 5 kittens. I got in contact with Jane Irwin. She told me that they would take them and mother cat at 8 weeks. To protect them she had me bring them in at 6 weeks to start their shots. I just took them all to them yesterday. True to her word, she accepted all. Hopefully she will find them forever homes!!! Very impressed with all the staff i met. They have an extremely hard job, and do it with smiles on their faces....

Awesome place

This place is surprisingly clean for a animal shelter. They seem to do the best they can to take care of the animals, given the space they have.If there is one suggestion I would make, I would suggest making it more accessible to play with the cats. I have been to a different shelter in a different state when all of the cats were available (except the bitey ones) to freely play and interact with. It seemed to make the animals happier and also increased adoption rates.

I try to visit as often as possible as I wait to apply for adopting a sweet little 2 yr old dog. The staff and Volunteers have been so kind. My first Shelter experience.

I was going to adopt 2 wonderful kittens, but I will never go here again ever!! Worse place ever.. I just lost my wonderful cat of 10years and I all wanted was to be able to bring home a new family member. But this place decided because of where I live I was unable to Care for a kitten. Because of my address these beautiful kittens were denied a wonderful home. I was never asked about my other cat or my dog. Never asked for my veterinarians information, nothing.. judgement this place is horrible. Never will I send anybody here.. I treat my furrs as my family.. most horrible people and place ever..

They wouldnt take my pet so I had to put her down.

They have a lot of animals to adopt. Friendly staff always open for more volunteers and cares for all the animals that comes through their doors. They when I was there they had Gina pigs. Please check out the animals they have a lot of them and the animals need a good home

We just adopted a lil girl and Anne was amazing. She helped us with everything we needed. Wonderful people with huge hearts!

I dropped off my donations. They are always needing detergent paper towels ect. Please anyone who wants exercise there are beautiful orphans that need walked, cat pans need cleaned, played with. Its not the pets fault they are abandoned and thank you for all that helps them.

Everyone there is super friendly and helpful! They love their jobs and its easy to see. They also do a great job of knowing the pets there and are able to tell you a little about their personalities.

Staff is nothing but rude and inconsiderate, I feel bad the animals have to put up with such people!! They lost a good volunteer. It’s a shame how these people want volunteers yet they treat them with such distaste and are very disrespectful!

The shelter is very well maintained and they take really good care of all the animals. I recently adopted a cat and the process could not have been smoother. Everyone is super friendly and was a great help.

I got a dog here almost five years ago and and I love him so much, when we got him the staff was very helpful and cheerful! Love it there! Adopt don’t shop!

Seems like good conditions but they are a kill facility

I brought my girlfriend’s kitten here to get fixed. When we brought it home it had somehow contracted a bad case of worms and nearly died from it. When I called them to ask what to do the person I spoke with immediately got defensive and wouldn’t speak to me. She even hung up on me. I only called to ask on how to treat her. Needless to say I took her to a vet and she’s back to 100% now, no thanks to Bartholomew County Humane Society.
