STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.I am honestly horrified at what just happened to me here.I reserved a car, called three times to confirm it would be available. Get there, I get charged and a deposit held on my card. We go to the car and the tags expired LAST month. So Im like cool give me a different car (there are three other cars in the lot with out of state plates, sparkling clean inside but a different class then what I selected). The man says no those arent for rent. I said the website says you have available cars. He said no they arent for us the website doesnt update. I walk out while another man was walking in. I follow him in it gets awkward and silent so I say just confirming the only car you have is a the one with expired tags? Awkward silence. I go and sit in my friends car who drove me there waiting to see what is going to happen. They stood there staring at me.Eventually I left but you can imagine how that went.

During this time we’re going through a pandemic, I would think Budget would actually clean the cars before renting them back out.I just got a rental... There are crumbs everywhere, a sticky substance in the cup holder and the radio buttons clearly haven’t been wiped down.This shows how they’re taking care of there customers. Definitely won’t rent from here again,

I scheduled a truck rental for a few hours a week ahead of time, scheduling to drop it off after hours. The day or so before, I got a call that the truck I requested was unavailable and asking if it was ok to upgrade to a bigger truck for free. I agreed and the truck was there waiting for me at my appointed pick-up time. I took longer than expected (still within the same day but a couple of hours later than my estimate) and still dropped the truck off after hours. I was concerned that I saw a policy somewhere saying there was an extra charge for after hours drop-off, but when the charge hit my credit card, it was even less than the estimate I was given on their website. This was incredibly cheap compared to other options, and though I had to wait a bit and fill out some unexpected insurance forms when I picked up the truck, it was overall a great way to move. Thank you!

Totally amazing experience. Totally amazing. I reserved a truck earlier today. I said EARLIER TODAY. I was provided with confirmation (via the Internet) that my truck would be available at the appointed time. I arrived at the location only to find: NO TRUCK!A totally wonderful and extremely helpful young woman (yes, the preceding was in the SARCASM font) proceeded to tell me that I SHOULD CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE. When my wife suggested that maybe she could intervene we were again instructed to call customer service. Ok ... so I call. Where upon I get to talk to LILY. And what does LILY tell me? That she would have an inventory manager call me anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours later to see if they could help me secure a truck.Wonderful!Our friendly counter service rep couldn’t lock the door fast enough as we departed (need to get ready for the weekend and all). Roughly 15 minutes later I got my first call from the inventory manager. Among many questions we were asked: did we call to confirm the presence of the vehicle at the location we rented?WHAT???? REALLY??? Sorry ... not accustomed to calling to confirm that the vehicle you just said I could rent is actually available.Best they could do? Provide a truck from another location THE NEXT DAY.This place has more clowns than a circus. My only regret? There’s nothing lower than one star.

If I could give this business minus 5 stars, I would. Heres what happened to me last week:The counter person asks if I want insurance. I say no because my credit card covers car rentals.Then, while Im telling her the story of my fabulous Capital One credit card, which has covered me twice in the past for rental car damages, shes adding the insurance I declined to my rental agreement.Yep. While Im explaining why I dont need the insurance, shes adding a policy that costs as much as several months of my regular car insurance premium.Then, when she says initial here, here and here, I think Im initialing to decline coverage. Stupid me. I trusted her.Learn from my expensive mistake people and be very careful to check your contract after they print it out.This branch doesnt have the touch pad for declining insurance that most other car rental places do and clearly, and just saying no isnt enough.After calling the small business line at Budget HQ, I got them to remove half the $300+ insurance charge. But still got ripped off for the other $150.Dont let it happen to you.

I rented a car at Newark airport for a one-way trip home to Columbia Maryland, but didn’t notice that the agent had added an additional $41 for a tank of gas that I only used half of. When I return the car to this location in Columbia, Kimberly, the agent on duty, was kind enough to update the rental agreement and save me that $41. I really appreciated her helpful professional courtesy.

Seriously we are moving tomorrow , the evening prior we get a call saying the truck we reserved almost a month ago isn’t available.... no notice nothing day before our move ! Then no sorry or anything , only a statement saying here a number you can contact to figure things out .... no assistance . This is bogus . Company is a discrace, thanks for nothing and thanks for adding more stress to our situation that is suppose to be a happy moment in our lives.

I reserved a truck a month and a half in advance from Budget through Costco. When the date came, the original location didnt have my truck. That wasnt a huge deal, since I could go out of my way to pick it up at the other location.I arrived at this location, they didnt have my truck, and I had to downsize. The manager was very rude, unapologetic, and unhelpful, despite the fact that their company made the mistake.Not only did I have to pick up at another location and downsize, I lost my unlimited mileage, and needed to take several extra trips.Avoid this company completely.

The lady at the front desk is bruke she says. She is very impolite to the customers. she does not have enough information to calculate the price for a car. she use to call third person through speaking in different language and fixing the highest price. Also unnecessarily asking question whether the DL copy which we show is ours or not. she does not know how to deal things to the people. I guarantee that she deserves a negative rating. I thought is she is still there, dont want to take any cars from this place again. Also she says no budget cars used to clean the vehicle and simply offering the untidy, dusty car even i booked it earlier. This is not at all fair towards customers by taking the full amount.

We used this Budget/Avis location for the first time yesterday. We had been using Enterprise because they were the only rental car place around. We called Enterprise and they didnt have a car available (not the first time) so we tried Budget. The guy was so helpful and polite and did everything he could to have a car available for us. The only problem we had was the first car he gave us smelled like an ashtray, like someone had been smoking in it with the windows up for months. He gave us the only other car he had available that was more expensive and was reserved for someone else, for the same price as the other car we were set up to rent. We really appreciated them having a car available and changing the car when there was a complaint. We will be using them instead of Enterprise from now on.

I would give them 0 stars if it was an option. This place was totally terrible. L Teddy at the front desk could not communicate very well. He would not accept my documentation from the department of motor vehicle. He called his boss/manager to confirm that he could not accept my documentation, but would not let me speak with his manager. I called the Budget 1-800 number and got another person that could not speak good English and again the person was not helpful. I reserved the car through my insurance company, USAA, but I will never use Budget again.

I made the reservation all that was fine until I got to the office and it was a whole different scenario about using debit cards they should not except debit cards if there doing credit checks if a person is using a debit card and not a credit card that means no credit or bad credit....

The same exact thing that just happened to Al B just happened to me in the amount of $294. There is literally no excuse for it - I was rented the car via a Gieco claim, who explicitly states their coverage of rental cars to related companies. I was never asked if I wanted Budgets coverage, and I was never once told in any way, shape, or form that I would be charged for anything on my credit card. I also have to go through the hassle of reporting this charge on my card and being $300 short in the meantime. Do not rent from this company.

THE WORST LOCATION EVER. CLAIMS YOU CAN PAY DEPOSIT IN CASH , GET THERE AND THEY DONT ACCEPT. RESERVED A 26FT BOX TRUCK, AND THEY NEVER HAD IT. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. STAY FAR AWAY.

Made a car reservation on the site, but when I arrived they said that there were no cars available! This is the worst place I have ever applied for a car rentalI made a reservation through the site, received an order confirmation, and when I arrived they told me that there were no free cars! And I was not alone in this situation this Sunday morning! And judging by other reviews, this is normal practice for this company. I do not advise you to contact this institution.
