I explained that the owner was selling my condo and I had to be out by August 31 and I was afraid I would be homeless. Mrs Eddie made me feel like there was some hope and not to worry. I feel very positive because of her that everything will be okay.

Theyre some very nice women! They wont take your application fee if someone else is already going through the process for the same house your interested in. Theyre honest and sweet. We need a lot more people and businesses to operate like the Horton company.

We would definitely recommend renting with Horton Company! Our house sold faster than expected and we didnt want to buy another home just to buy. So we contacted for a rental application and found the security deposit and pet deposit for 2 dogs and 1 cat very reasonable. We rented for a year without any issues. During this past summer our AC unit went out and they promptly called the on call service to have it fixed.Upon move out we followed the instructions and received our security deposit without any deductions.Definitely give them a call if you or someone you know is in need of a rental. I can honestly say if you treat the home as if it were your own you will have a positive experience as well.

I was a tenant from the Horton Company for two years. They were always extremely responsive. If we had any issues with the house, they would always send an electrician or plumber extremely quickly. Great customer service and very kind staff!

Owners, do not use to rent your home. They lie, cheat, steal and forge signatures. After using them for three years, a tenant moved out, I told them not to rent again because my next Army assignment may bring me back to Columbia. Mrs. Horton told me that they had already rented the home! After many emails and them threatened me with attorneys, I found that they flat out lied and forged a potential tenants signature. Once I presented that proof, they returned my keys. I gave one star because I had to select one!

I have dealt with the Horton Company for over 10 years and the service I receive has always been very friendly and professional service. The Horton Company oversees my rental property and saves me a great deal of time by handling my property which is not an easy task. Horton has taken care of court cases involving my property with past tenants, eviction notices, property damage from tenants and the list goes on. They do a great job on keeping me informed about my property whether it is good or bad. I noticed some bad views and I can attest that they are from past tenants who didnt depart on a good note which is no fault of the Horton Company. I know from experience of dealing with bad tenants who doesnt pay and gets evicted and than blames the company. We have to be adults and own up to our own faults and not blame the Horton Company for doing their job and having individuals removed from the properties. Tenants must realize that when they do not pay the expense still falls on the owners. Horton Company (Mrs. Edie and Mrs. Tammie), I truly appreciate all you have done with my property and all that you will continue to do with my property. I will definitely continue to refer individuals moving to Columbia to your company because I am very satisfied with the service that your company provides.

I cant begin to tell you how thankful I am to the Horton Company (Tammy is who we worked with). I am out of state and my mom who lives in Columbia needed help selling some properties she owns. Tammy was SO good with her. She was able to get my mom more money than we thought we could get from the houses. She helped my mom fill out papers and was ALWAYS available every time my mom or I had a question. She would always call me back right away (long distance) to answer any questions I had. Great Owner reviews Tenets say differently ~ working with this company we did not have a working kitchen for 1 month, yes 1 month. Do you know how much that cost - got a 200 discount - should have had next rent 2nd month free, toilet still clogged. Yet I had to pay rent - yet I did nor have a working Stove, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave - worst decision to use this company - Do not choose them unless you want to be treated like this single Mom & her son. As renters you come last. Ask Eddie about her no call disconnect over the weekend when you cant contact anyone to solve

I had a great relationship with the team in the office and the actual owners of the home I rented. When I moved out, they tried to charge me for the things they didnt do before I moved in. They have horrible customer service and they do the cheapest repairs EVER. I had pipe burst two weeks after I moved in. It took a week for them to send a plumber. So I went a week without water. We found out that the pipe had been rigged to work prior to moving in and it would have burst anyway. SMH. The toilet in the master bathroom was leaking through the roof. They only fixed the leak. They never found out why it was leaking, if there was mold growing or tried to fix the roof. The owner of the house came to do an inspection and I showed her everything that was wrong. Horton still tried to overcharge me. Do not work with this company. Theyre easy to get in but you have to pay to get out.

This place is the worst place to rent from. We went weeks without A/c during the summer time(and was 7months pregnant) . Kept calling the company and they kept giving me the run around about when it will get fix and suggest that i pay out of pocket to live in a hotel . They also took my security deposit stating i didnt clean the house when i knew i took my time to clean it out . I will not recommend this company to anyone ... these people is trying to charge me over 1500 for simple things that don’t equal to this amount...basically picking lil things such as light bulbs missing, batteries out of smoke detectors, the screen fell out the window, door knob was loose on the door , and they charge me for a dryer that i kept calling for them to move out the laundry room before we moved in ... once again do not rent from these people. The story can go on and on... i had problem with them since we moved in . NEVER AGAIN

The Horton Company placed me and my Family in our dream home. The staff was easy to work with and were very Happy we went there to find our dwelling place.

Didnt say anything for a YEAR about an addendum for sewer that needed to be paid because they NEVER gave the paperwork to be signed originally - but they sure expected the back $ to be paid. Wouldnt schedule a time for a final walkthrough with me there, checklist came back everything clean but a couple cabinets needing minor wipedown - $175 in minor cleaning fees was charged!!!! Called to question, was told Id be called back...uh, huh, right....

They do not return calls when tenants call in problems (such as our AC unit not working). Took them over a week to take my calls seriously and send maintenance.

This place didnt work with us when we were trying to move. Denied us, I called several times trying to see if they can work us, to no avail. We moved on, found another place and moved in, THEN they want to call and say that they will work with us. Come on now...

They rip people off. they will not schedule a final walk through with you but charge a total of $275 for a stove to be cleaned out when I called they said to contact magistrate office.

Worst company to deal with. They are friendly when you are making youre payments on time. When it comes to making repairs on home and the roads they are slack and could care less. They overcharge you when its time to move out.
