I wanted to try this shop based on the good reviews and nail pics. I went in for a acrylic nail fill-in with gel polish and a pedicure. I told them that’s what I wanted multiple times, the tech who did my fill in pulled out a pinkish powder for my fill-in and did really good job getting them smooth and painting. The polish I chose didn’t work out because it was too thin but she showed me one very similar and it turned out well. When I finally got to the pedicure part I asked for a price list because there are usually levels/types of pedicures. Also they don’t have prices posted any where inside the shop, you have to ask for the list. The prices look good not too exorbitant (see photo). So I’m adding it up in my head with tip. I go to check out only to be told my regular fill-in is actually a solar powder so that’s an up charge and the cost for a pedicure has gone up since the list was printed. Mind you I never asked for nor was I told they were going to use solar powder. Apparently that’s all they offer now but they don’t tell you that. The pedicure was good but they won’t do my nails again because of the dishonesty and shady practices.

They always do such a good job with my nails and the staff is super sweet. I just got a fill in and I love them. Definitely worth it! 💜💜

DO NOT GO HERE! I went in for a fill in with gel polish, had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time and when the lady was doing my nails they were uneven and thick, she wouldnt even paint to the edges. When I went to check out, they up-charge you like crazy. BEWARE OF THE PRICES BEFORE YOU GO. I will never ever go here again, super lazy and dishonest.

After reading through many online reviews, I made an appointment with SC nails.. and let me start by saying I was not disappointed whatsoever! I had the best experience, my nail tech MARY was great! From start to finish. She was very helpful and even gave me pointers for the type of color I wanted and did such a great job with my pedicure as well! The staff in general seems so genuinely nice and I didn’t get an annoyed vibe as it’s usual when you go to a busy nail salon. I would highly recommend this place. Definitely will be my go to from now on. They do offer drinks and the atmosphere is nice but what’s important is the nail and pedi outcome and it was fantastic. I left extremely pleased!!

I go to USC religiously for my mani pedis. The employees are friendly and amusing majority of the time I am there laughing.They have a great color selection in their gels and polishes plus they do eyebrows. However try to go early or during the week because they get pretty busy on weekends.

Im only up here in Columbia for school and they dont have the salon that I always go to, but this is my top choice. My nails has always been the way that I want them. I would give them 5 stars but recently I got my usual but was done by a different person, it turned out beautiful but he seemed like he was in a rush of doing my fill in. Ive never had anyone use the drill so close to my cuticles and ended up cutting them. I dont mind going back but I now have to wait until my cuts are healed before getting treated again.

Best nail salon in town. The technicians are very nice and easy to talk to. They always ask you if you if like it after the first nail or two so that they can fix anything to your preference. The salon is very clean and upscale. Lots of color options. Relaxing and fun envornment,a great place to go with friends.

Worst nail experience I’ve ever had. The nail tech didn’t glue the tips on fully to the point where they were falling off. I mentioned to him twice that they didn’t look right. The tips he put on were way too big for my nails and made them look frumpy. He also did not file down the acrylics near the nail bed and I had to file them down endlessly and they still looked all messed up. avoid this place

Awful. I try and give them a chance everytime and it’s always AWFUL. Guy cut every single one of my cuticles and completely did the wrong shaping of my nails. Wouldn’t return. When I said he was doing it wrong he said it was too late and he couldn’t do anything.

I wish I lived here so I could keep going to this salon. The staff was kind, professional, and very skilled. I really felt like they cared about doing a quality job. They were super flexible with scheduling and I loved how they didnt make you feel like you were being rushed through an assembly line. It was a very relaxing, friendly, atmosphere - staff appeared to enjoy their jobs and treated each other well. The salon was incredibly clean and well maintained. The prices were good and I left looking and feeling like a million bucks. You have to give this place a try! I will definitely come back the next time Im in town.

I really like the manicures I get here, but am not a fan of being told multiple times that a gel mani lasts longer. I am aware. If I tell you I am aware, there is no need to tell me again. If I ask for a regular manicure, I want a regular manicure. Thank you for the good service otherwise.

I am so happy with the service I received. I came on my lunch right around 130 to get a pedicure . it was perfect , not too many people , everybody was happy . Relaxed . I came back at 5:00 To get a manicure. It was bustling, but still relaxed great atmosphere. Thank you!

I had Anna do my eyebrows and they came out flawless! She was very gentle and did exactly what I asked her to do. And it was only 10 dollars! What a score!

Asked them if I could do Matte with dip powder and they said sure. Less than three hours later the matte was peeling and left gross looking white spots. I went back the next day and they offered to make them shiny instead and then proceed to paint the shiny coat over the matte that was chipping leaving white spots under the shiny coat too. When I pointed this out to the person fixing my nails he redid one and then kept on going like he was before just painting over the peeling matte. I wasn’t going to waste my time correcting him again. It’s been three days and the shiny coat is peeling too. The first time I went they did a great job but probably won’t be going back again

They got me, my mom, and two bridesmaids in and out in under an hour the day before my wedding, with no appointment, and did an excellent job. This was a saving grace as another salon had started my wedding weekend off on a negative note.

Do not come here - what a rip off nail salon, if you do go expect low quality work at a high price. I walked in with no polish on toes and simply wanted nail polish (gel) on toes. They did not cut, trim, file, or push back cuticles (i wasnt expecting this service) I simply wanted gel polish and received just that - polished toes. After a 10 minute fast paint job and quick dry - plus $34.00 later I almost fell on the floor ....... After questioning their prices they started stuttering and of course gel polish charges arent on the price list. I am sad to inform you they knew we werent from around there and knew we werent coming back so why not charge us double the price, most people wouldnt speak up nor take the time to write a review. Sorry not this traveler - bad service is bad service, no excuses!

My nails are throbbing they sanded them down so much. Poor attention to detail, 30 minutes after I left I had a nail break. Wouldn’t recommend- although I did only see one technician.

Their handy work (no pun intended) is very good, my technician made sure I got the shape and length I wanted. My only critique would be some technicians indirect methods for upselling or the fact theres no prices ppsted anywhere near the front entrance or sign-in desk. Other than that, excellent work, excellent space and decor, and I plan to get my fill-in later today.

Got the regular mani/pedi bundle for $40. It felt great, wasnt rushed. The staff were very nice and respectful. Some other reviewers said they were speaking in another language with one another and not engaging with them, but that was not my experience. Definitely coming back!

My nail tech used a fake nail to remove the overlay that came into the salon with. Aside from me jumping because of the pain, I let her know that it hurt and asked if there was another way to get the job done. This of course made my nail bed thin and weak so everything she did after that was very uncomfortable. On top of all of that this salon charged for nail shaping and take off despite me getting a service. Needless to say this was the worst experience ever.

I called and asked if they did liquid gel nails. I was told they did. They said I could come in at 5 pm. I called around 4:30. When I showed up I was told that they didn’t do liquid gel. I wasted my money for parking and my time driving all the way over here to be told something different very disappointed.

They offered me a drink and the nail tech was polite and personable. There was only one other person there when I arrived so I didnt have to wait.

If I could give a -1 star I promise I would. I have never been so dissatisfied in nail salon service like I was at USC Nails! I almost wanted to ask for a refund. I came in and asked for a fill in about 30 minutes before closing time. The lady at the counter had an attitude and immediatly started talking about my friend and I in their foreign language. It was as if we werent even standing there; very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL! I am a paying customer and I did not feel wanted let alone appreciated!!!When the lady did my fill in she used the smallest amount of acrylic as possible. I have never seen someone skimp so much on product before. It was as if she was trying to cut back and save on product. However they are the most expensive salon in Columbia. That is a complete rip off and is poor customer service! My nails are bound to break off within the first week! You can notice how thin my nails are after seeing the finished product!After that I got a polish change on my toe nails, and I literally got just that. No filing down , no cut down, no cuticles being pushed back. Again the finished product showed signs of poor service!!Then finally we were being rushed out of the door and my friend smudged her toe when one of the workers tried to put her shoes back on for her. The lady blamed my friend and repremanded her before fixing it.Needless to say we will NOT be returning!Over priced for CHEAP service!!!

Having just relocated to the area, I tried 3 different salons before I found USC Nails. Unfortunately for my wallet, Ive been back every other week for the last few months! I absolutely LOVE THEM. They offer you beverages and rarely have a long wait. They are all fluent in english and are willing to hold a conversation with you while theyre working. Ive never had a better experience at a nail salon. Their prices are about $5 more expensive than other area salons but for the soda and wine option, Ill pay it!Also- the other patrons in there are kind as well. Ive ran into a few snobby college girls at the other salons Ive tried. At least you dont have to worry about them causing a negative atmostphere in here.

This nail salon is overpriced and terrible quality and on top of that very rude nail technicians. the woman who did my nails in particular was practically yelling at me the whole time and extremely rude to the point where the guests around me felt uncomfortable and i just sat there quietly. I will not go back to this salon.

Horrible Service and discrimination against children. My 5 year old niece was so excited to get her nails done yet saddened when I opted to leave (before she could get her feet painted) after we were treated and spoken to so poorly. I received an average pedicure by a quiet nail tech whose service was ok. Once it was time to polish my feet I requested a simple design which sent the shop into a tailspin. After speaking to several co-workers (in his native tongue), he finally told me another technician could possibly grant my request. Once it was my nieces turn the female technician snatched the nail sticks from her while rolling her eyes and beraded her with questions in an aggressive tone. My niece became frightened yet remained calm and mannarable. I inquired to a friendly technician next to me if they did childrens nails and he assured me they did. Once the female tech. noticed that I was watching her she became friendlier towards my neice. Soon after I was questioned by the manager/owner about my full set. I inquired about him being able to do the design and he told me in a aggresive tine Dont worry about that..Pick your color! I inquired again calmy and showed him the requested design. He kept talking over me and said hed try. I told him we could try it out and if I didnt like it he could remove it and just paint them one color. Once we sat down he spat out that I chose Gel colors but wanted acrylic and needed to Get the right colors! After being spoken to aggressively several times, rushed, and treated like a second class citizen I declined all other services for myself and my 5 year old neice. Once her nails were done we paid and left. I will never go back to SC nails formerly known as USC nails.

This place has terrible customer service. I went in for a pedicure and had to pull my foot back twice because the tech was so rough. They are also overpriced and really getting over on those college students. And why is there only 1 person in the salon that can do fill ins!!!

The service here was terrible. The lady doing my nails rushed me the WHOLE time. It hasn’t even been a week and my DIP POWDER is CHIPPING. not to mention they charge you for a PEDICURE when you’re just getting a color change. I have dip on my real nails and now my nails are breaking. I have never had dip powder do this to my nails hence why my nails are so long until NOW. Do not recommend.
